The past few days had left the Listern lands in a shroud of mist and rain. Gratefully unpleassant to the varg who'd rather bask in the sun or laze in a cloudy yet warm day. However, today was different. The clouds that had brought nothing but wet, humid weather were now emptied of their contents and were being slowly moved across the sky by a gentle yet warm wind that swept from the West. Fenris warmed the forest covered lands below and was now at his highest point in the sky. Below, a young adult varg lay on a drying moss covered boulder whilst basking lazily under the God's rays. The ruddy pelted male had grown large over the spring and was now at his full size. He was the size of an ordinary male timber varg, though his broad appearance made him look larger and more musclar. Thanks to his life within the Listern mountains his muscles were thick and strong, which did help to make him appear tougher. Though his temperment couldn't be more timid and gentle. The pines and conifers which surrounded the clearing he lay in stirred with the breeze and another cloud was swept across Fenris' light, dulling the land for a few moments. Opening his ruddy lids, Drathlic peered up at the sky and growled in annoyance. Even though the weather was warm, it always seemed a lot colder when the clouds shadowed the forest if even for a second. Azure eyes, a default within the male's genes, took note of how few clouds that were left in the abyss above and nodded, satisfied that he would not be disturbed again for at least another while.
An unexpected feeling passed across Drathlic as he lay there, staring into the broken, dappled shadows beneath the canopy within the forest's shelter. Lonliness. It had been several suns since he had last seen any of his pack members and he was now feeling a longing for them...one in particular. Silent. No older than a yearling at the time, Drathlic had wandered into the Kerl lands in search of his adoptive sister Ilinga when he'd come across a younger, silver faemme who was lost and alone. He had befriended her, slept the night out in the open with her before then taking her back to List where she was brought into the pack's family. Since then, the ruddy male had some sort of feeling for her - though still to this day, he was unaware of exactly what it was. However, as of late, the young adult had begun to feel things he had never felt before. Hormones were taking over his body and faemme were now becoming interesting to him, though he was still unclear exactly why. Now though, he was craving the attention of the silver fae, and with a tilt of his head, he let out a song. Long notes poured from his muzzle and emptied into the forest. Falling into silence, Drathlic sat himself upon his rock and waited patiently for a reply.

The sun warmed a silver back as a shape of silver ran trhough the clearings and weaved throughthe trees. Fenris was being pleasently kind today, to the Listern Varg and all others. The smell of the pine wood and the feel of the grass beneath her paws comforted the adolescent fae as she stopped to lkisten for a rabbit or a mouse. The scuttling and the occasional nibbling of the teeth on the roots of the trees alerted the female, all until the sound she wanted to hear reached her perked auds. That of a song, a beautiful song. Unmistakeable to the young listern fae. She knew that the one whjo had let the song drift from their maw was none other than her friend, her best friend, the one she had first known in these lands. Drathlic.
An enormous twitch was sent down her spine and along her tail, sending it into a fury of sweeps of the air as she raised her own silver maw to the heavens and a song emitted. Her golden eyes closed as she poured her heart into it, to let him know it was her. The song faded away as her maw began to fall and her nose began to work to find his scent. She walked in a circle, nose to the ground until she was back where she stood before, the familiar scent had found its way finally to her sensative nose. She set off, her muscles working together, powering her forth towards her friend, the one she had strange feeling for, she was still an adolescent and didn't quite understand the feeling she had for the now adult male.
She weaved through the trees, her long elegent legs striding out as she loped across the ground like a ghost itself, her muzzle streatched out, pointing to where she was going to meet the one she had hoped to see in along time, she had missed him ever since he had dissapeared from her pack lands. Totally at ease now with the rugged terrain and the forests of her pack she slowed to pick up the scent again, the wind had blown it gently from her nose, she trotted in another circle then sharply turned to set off at a full belt gallop, she could tell she was getting closer, the scent was stronger, and her heart could tell. Suddenly, the sight which she had wanted to see came to her golden hued eyes, there he was, sitting upon the rock awaiting her. His sight set her off again, she loped towards him and skidded to a halt beneath the rock, her tassle, now long and proud, sweeping the air again as she yipped and whined at her friend. Her ears back in joy as she jumped up and put her fore-paws on the rock and licked at his muzzle. Her eyes clearly showing the joy and the other feeling she had for him as Fenris shone his rays upon them like he too was overjoyed they had met again.
For several moments silence took over the forest, but as quickly as it seemed to have come, it was over when another song broke it and reached his auds from a distance not too far away...or so it seemed at least. Drathlic's tassel began to sway slightly and his lips curled into a pleasing smile as he sat apon his rock and waited patiently for the arrival of his silvery pelted friend. His own ruddy pelt gleaming under Fenris' powerful golden glow.
It took little time for the young faemme of List to make her way towards the young russet male. Her golden orbs lit up like the Sun God himself as she tore at full pelt towards him and began to lap and lick at his muzzle with great joy and affection. Laughing at her antics he got to his paws and licked her muzzle back in greeting, a softness masking his azure gaze as he peered down into her hues momentarily. Grinning happily he broke the contact from her and leapt down silently from his perch and regained ground level with her, though his larger body still seemed to tower her slender, more sleek form. "Nice to see you again Silent," he smiled softly, his proud banner swaying happily and high behind him as his strong legs held him firm. The scent of her warm, femanine body came to his shimmering wet nasal and his neck craned forward slightly until his nose touched the soft fur around her neck. On realising what he had just done, Drathlic pulled his head back and averted his eyes as he felt the skin beneath his furred muzzle grow hot and read. "Oh, em...sorry. I didn't mean-" he cut himself short, knowing if he tried to explain himself he'd only dig himself a hole that he'd never recover from. Instead he shook the feeling from his mind and replaced his previous expression with that of a slightly awkward smile. "So what have you been up to lately then?" he asked, trying now to change the subject and hoping it wouldn't fail.

The silver female, growing in size yet still a little smaller than the now adult male, jumped about a bit until he jumped from the rock to the ground. She grinned gently and let him touch her neck with her maw. He seemed to pull away embarrased at what e had just done. She watched as he seemed to have trouble finding something to say to get out of the hole he had just dug himself. She looked to the ground, slightly embarrased herself until she looked him in the eye and copied what he had done to herself. Her slender silver muzzle nudged him gently in the neck, affectionally, she didn't know what that meant, but it seemed to be a good thing to do. She pulled away gently and looked to the ground, her golden hues glittering slightly with the emotion she now knew was. Love.
She didn't know if Drathlic realised the twinkle in her eyes, she did exactly know if she wanted him to or not. A warm wind blew through the clearing as Fenris shone his bright rays down upon the two varg in the clearing. His bright rays warming her back as she looked deep into her friends eyes, part of her glad that they he was back, another part embarrased by her feeling for the varg before her. She shuffeled her paws, nervous, why was she nervous around her best friend? She was nervous because she didn't know how he would react to her gesture, to the sparkle in her eye. She thought he would just brush her aside and say she was a pup for feeling the way she did. She looked up at him, a small whine in her mind sounded. But then her usual bubbly and happy self began to show again. She turned herr head on a slight degree and whined happily. "I have been looking for more friends... Like you told me too... She stepped toward him on her long slender legs and licked his maw appreciatingly, she was glad that he had given her the advice of going out and meeting oter varg to become friends.
Drathlic watched as Silent repeated his own action towards himself and caught the flicker of something within her golden hues before she let them fall to her paws. His cyan eyes widened as for a moment he thought he knew what it meant. But of course, doubt fell over him and he knew that faemme were simply too confusing for him to know for sure, and instead he just smiled fondly at Silent, her silver pelt ruffled slightly by the gentle, warm breeze that blew through the trees and into the clearing they stood in. She was so naive and it amused Drathlic so, for she was so timid and gentle that he felt incredibly strong and dominant by her side. Afraid of nothing - not of Silent and not of anyone else...for he almsot felt able to protect her from anything, as she was younger than him it was his duty almost. But his feelings for her felt stronger than that of a brother. It was not a brotherly love that had grown for Silent. Though he was still young and felt it terribly difficult to admit it was the same love that his father would have felt towards his mother.
Shaking these thoughts from his mind, he was brought back when Silent spoke and she grinned broadly at him, and he returned the same grin along with a joyous bark. "That's great Silent! I'm proud of you," he smiled fondly before craning his neck forward and giving her a lick on the muzzle at the same time as she did. Their muzzles knocked for a brief moment as their tongues collided and Drathlic's cyan hues widened as he pulled back. What had just happened? A feeling had quickened the pace of his heart and their eyes were now making contact. Emotions flickered within those azure orbs - ones he could not hide as easily as a faemme could, and the only way to prevent her from seeing them was to close them. Lids fell over his eyes and he remained standing there, body rigid and his muzzle facing her own whilst his eyes were clenched tightly together. If she coudn't see them...she couldn't read them...

Silent smiled at his rpudness of her once shy ands very jerky self to become a varg of exploration and one who finds friends. She leaned forth to lick him kidly on the muzzle, her golden orbs still fgleaming with the emotion of love, the moment that Drathlic pulled away from the shock of their tounge's colliding, she too backed away. Atonish now was present in the depths of her orbs as she stared into the cyan hues of his own. Suprised to see nothing exept astonisment of the ordealwhich had happened. Then came the slight glimmer of the emotion she had in her own. She could not make it out, looking closer before he snapped his eyes closed.
Her own eyes closed as she felt the tears welling up inside them, slight pearls of the tears rolled down her cheeks before she watched him a moment more, to herself it felt like an eternity. She turned, slowly, silently toward the tree and padded away before he could open his eyes. Picking up speed into a fast lope as she headed for a random destination. Her eyes closed tightly most of the way until she finally tripped over her own paws and landed in a heap before a small badger set. It was big enough to fit a small varg in, she sat up upon her haunches and looked to the direction she came. Hoping that Drathlic would come to find her, she did not want to be alone, again. She slowly slunk towards the badger set, the scent of the badger was stale, long gone. She crawled inside and lay her sliver head upon her now dusty silver paws. Her golden hued orbs ful with tears. Was it because the emotion which showed clearly before? She asked herself many questions about why he had reacted that way. She could not get the picture of the one she had feelings for standing there, his eyes tight shut as if he didn't want her to see something. She couldn't figure out what. she lay there, inside the cramped disused badger set, her midn whirling like a tornado, her eyes closing tightly as she tried to rid the picture of her troubles. Her muzzle parted as she let out a howl of confusion to Fenris as she closed her eyes and let all of her confusions into the one song. As the song faded away into the winds, she opened her eyes to look out for Drathlic, he surely would be worried for her... maybe he wasn't... maybe he didn't care about her. She growled at herself to get the horrid thoughts of her bestest friend, the one who had introduced her to the pack, the one who saved her from the freezing winter months. The one she felt the love for...
(Crappy post yepper, muse left e after first word!)
Drathlic remained motionless for moments until his auds perked and he heard the distant sound of paws tredding on earth. Slowly he allowed one of his lids to open up only to reveal the young adult standing on his own in the small clearing. Both his lids flew open as the male glanced around him in confusion, all thoughts about what had previously spooked him were now out of his mind altogether. As though dumb struck, the ruddy youth paced back and forth as though unsure what to do about his new situation, until it finally hit him. Scent. Dropping his nose to the ground, Drathlic began to scent the area in which his friend had last been standing, and now that he had managed to catch wind of it, the male began to pad swiftly through the trees and into the forest, picking his pace up into a gentle lope.
Entering a slight clearing in the trees, Drathlic came to a halt. He had managed to lose her scent and was now scenting the air above his head wildly for another whiff, or even to catch a slight sound that could indicate her presence. Looking back and forth, the male's auds finally perked fully and his head swivelled until his azure gaze fell on a well concealed hole within a high bank. The sound of a sorrowful and confused howl had rang out and was now fading. A slight smile curled the edges of his maw as Drathlic padded slowly towards the abandoned densite of some lera, his head lowered slightly and tail held rigid, swaying with contempt in each of his steps. On reaching the dark entrance he poked his muzzle down the tunnel before letting out a soft growl. "Come on out Silent, I'm here."
((Sorry it's late, and sorry it's shabby, but meh!))

The silver youth lowered her muzzle to rest it upon silver paws as if she had lost hope of seeing Drathlic again at this moment. Her ears flopped back against her head as she let out a long sigh before closing her eyes and seeing that image of him, standing there, his eyes clamped shut. Opening her golden eyes again she loomed out at the world that seeemed to buzz about her, the birds singing happily as they flew back and forth to feed their chicks. Her ears pricked forwards as a familiar scent drifted into the small den, the sound of quiet paws upon the leafy carpet of the forest. She sighed again as the steps stopped and she thought it was only a fragment of her own imagination, the muzzle of a varg had poked in and let out a soft growl.
Raising her head to meet his muzzle, the soft words of his met her auds and she lay them back in happiness. He had come, he had come to see her. She looked up into his cyan orbs, her own littering with that emotion, she could not stop it showing, she could not stop her feeling the way she felt for this young adult varg. His words seemed to strangely comfort her, althouh she could sense non of the emotion in it, but they still made her feel warm again. "Im sorry Drathlic..." she murmered, a soft affectionate growl edging at her words, that was all she could say, that she was sorry for running off like that. She didn't want to run off, it was just something that pulled her away. She raised her muzzle and gently licked the young adults, she sighed long, deeply. She then let her muzzle drop and rest upon her silvery paws as she looked up at Drathlic. She could feel the emotion but not understand it, yes she had felt it before, only once when she was a pup. The feeling of love for her mother and her father. She had never known that she would soon feel it again for another varg, especially for a male like Drathlic. She shook the thoughts from her head and raised her muzzle again to gently nuzzle him on the neck.
(its ok, I have been away too. I have all the time in the world)
Drathlic's body froze for a mere second as Silent's tongue once again made gentle contact with his muzzle, but he shook it off quickly and smiled fondly at her, returning a soft lick to her own muzzle before retreating from the den's entrance and allowing her to exit. Her words were soft and almost sad, but he shook his head with a grin on his muzzle. "Don't be sorry Silent. It was my fault, I never meant to act the way I did. Let's just say that it's quite, confusing what's going on," he chuckled lightly, allowing her to nuzzle his neck scruff as he tenderly caressed his pink tongue across the top of her head, his proud banner swaying happily from side to side.
For a few moments they remained how they were in silence, simply basking in one another's company. Sighing lightly Drathlic finally stepped back and parted their touch, his azure gaze falling on Silent's golden pools. Smiling softly he let out a slight growl and nudged her muzzle before turning his attention to their surroundings. "What do you say we go for a walk?" he spoke gently, hoping that if they accompanied one another in a gentle strole that they would be able to speak more easily.

Silent slowly came out of the hole where she had resided only for a moment. Looking up fondly at Drathlic as he talked to her and explained why he had done. It was over now, they were still friends and that was all that mattered. She stepped away from him slightly, her eyes narrowing slightly as she looked at the ground. She was just about to open her maw and ask him a question before he asked one of his own. A gentle stroll? What did he mean? She looked at him inquisitively and a small grin appeared upon her muzzle. They would be able to talk more freely as they would wander through the trees of the listern terrain. She nodded slowly and stepped forwards and pushed the top of her head into his shoulder in a sign of clear affection. "Yes.. I would like that" She finally answered him in words. Stepping back away from him she turned and looked at the path they would take to start of their relaxing stroll.
She started forth towards th part in the trees where the wearing of the ground showed it was used regulally by lera and the Listern pack themselves. She turned her head sklightly whilst still walking, slowling a bit as she entered the thickening forest again. Her eyes fell upon Drathlics as she watched him momentarily. Her mind racing on what they would openly say infront of each other. Would she actually confess her love to him? Shaking the thoughts from her head, and entirely from her body, she shook eahc of her aws like a feline would if it had stepped into a puddle of water. She then turned and looked up, through the canopy of the trees, she saw the great mountains that List had claimed, they were beautiful, the colour of white had dissapeared and it only remained at the highest peak as the green began to blossom like the flowers in the forest. Smiling softly to herself, she walked forth down the path, stoppingjust a little father on to take another look back behind her at the now gradually dissapearing form of Drahlic as she rounded a tree to hide from him. Hoping that when he bounded down to catch up with her, she would suddenly supris him by jumpin out. Her golden eyes carressed the cub side of her as she rememberred doing this with her first friend. He had been taken by the humans, probably killed in the ring like so many of her kind. She looked at her paws slightly as if paying her respects to him silently. But he had gone, she had found new friends, Drathlic was a special one. Her ears perked as she tried to catch a sound of him following her.
