Diminishing light, darkness eager to take grip of the Listern lands for yet another spell. The air was muggy as was typical of the summer days that lingered on worse this year, more then ever. The ivory form of the beta of List, Sudak, was making his way along his nightly route of patrolling the borders. Nose was close to the ground as to ensure the scent, that Sudak had more then willingly began to leave behind on his nightly strolls, still remained. The border that was once maintained by their strong dragga Bristol had begun to fade away. To ensure his family's safety, and to keep those pesky intruders away from List, Sudak marked his path. That would be the last any intruder would smell of a varg before their quick return hence from where they came. Sudak trotted to the last spot he knew had left his mark, a bush high upon the ridge line of Southern edge of the pack's territory.
Deep in the distant valleys was the Vale of Shadows. Many myths and legends had been told of the place and had reached Sudak's auds. However little did he know of what was brewing beyond, or what was even closer. Sniffing the brush Sudak found the scent he was looking for, undisturbed as he liked it. Sudak paced forward to then lift his leg and mark his claim. In midst of his actions he heard a rustling in the brush down the far side of the ridge. However he discarded it as just a passing lera as a rabbit scurried away, assumingly in fright of the towering ivory male. Lowering his hind leg so all four paws now lay firmly upon the turndra Sudak took one final gaze out through the valleys that now were completely dakr with the stars begining there nightly ritual of shining and shimmering.
Tor was quiet tonight as a new moon layed over the land. Darkness engulfing the ridges and valleys. With a sigh Sudak turned his head towards the interior of List and slowly began to pad away.. Thoughts of being reunited with his mate and cubs again tonight filled his mind. They had finished the training for warriors and emmisaries and tonight would be the first night they could share their warmth in the pack dens again. His ears relaxed and tail flew easily behind his path as he unsuspectingly padded towards home.
// Alright List, I'm going to make this so it occurs after all of our training has occured as I've implied in the post. //
A sickly night in the eyes of a monster. Muggy, humid, a clear sky; nothing of which reminded her of Dreogan's terrain. Rain, and thunder, lightning and marshes; all the beauty of hell within one. Smiling to herself, the blackened devil skulked in the shadows, invisible to the untrained eyes of this land. She watched patiently, her pray in sight. Tonight was the night that revenge would begin. You foolish varg muttered the voices in her head, you think this wise, girl? Crossing paths with List's Beta? The good side of Demon still lingered within, a last flicker of sanity within an insane reality. Chuckling quietly to herself, she lifted onto her pads; careful as to not disturb the undergrowth she lay upon. He had marked his territory; and was wandering back to wence he came... but, for the sakes of Demon's mind, he wouldn't make it that far.
Flickering her tassel briefly to the left, a small breeze caught her offguard. Cooling to her darkened farcade, she paused for a moment. Dwelling subconsiously on memories and nightmares. The devils were lingering; she could taste it. Their sickening voices laughing within her skull, they forced her to do this. Plain and simple. Yet, one could not deny the temptations Demon felt - the pleasures in chaos, and joys within havoc. She thrived on suffering, and suffering would come.
Steadily, slowly, the creature stalked this male. Her emerald optics fixed firmly on his form. She examined him closely, but unpredictable he was. She could not foresee his movements of next. Grinning sadistically, she crouched slightly; hackles risen as many would do when hunting a deer. She could feel the bloodlust, pulsing - beating within her veins. She wanted it so badly; to see the pain in Gryffin's eyes when her beloved Sudak did not return home tonight.
"Fool," she muttered under sharp, silent breaths. Her chest caved; in, out, in, out. The adrenalin pumped into her skull, bursting open locked doors and corridors. The insanity was mounting; soon, very soon, this beast would be ready. Ready as hell to strike him down.
A breeze caught the long, ivory pelt that Sudak so proudly wore, and he slowed his pace to enjoy its breath passing through to his skin beneath. The air rolling through his fur as if massaging his body from head to toe. He sighed as he came to a halt and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath in the moment. Sudden eyes now shot open, ears shot erect and tail shot dominantly to its position high above level with his spine. His eyes slowly began to turn their way towards upwind as his head began to follow.. All his body was stiff as stone until one by one he moved his paws to face the invisible foe. Some foe whose scent had been wafted to him whether by accident or purpose. This scent was one that was totally unfarmiliar. It barely even seemed Varg, but that slight trait still existed. First his left leg rounded his right as he turned his body rightward towards a line of brush just where he had been. Sudak no longer had the advantage of higher ground if this foe decided for an attack. How foolish could a Varg be, to attack the beta of a varg in his own packlands. The scar was still clearly visible on Sudak's left leg as he began to bring right around seeming to cover the view of his past injury. It had occured on the last pack hunt. In haste to aide his star-gazing Drappa Sudak had ottained his broken leg. Wound cut deeply from his skin. It had been a miracle he did not die from it or it's impending disease. But the the scar did remain. Lips began to pull back to reveal his ivory fangs and rich pink gums as his nose wrinkled deep. A snarl emitting soft and deep at first growing louder to throw its warning. Where was this foe? and who do they think they are invading List.
Demon smiled coldly, her presence only half detected. Given, he knew of someone in this land. But to whom it was? The question was unanswered. Peeling back blackened gums, rows of jagged teeth layered her jawline. Relieving her crouch, she stood tall and proud; her hackles still risen, and a grin sweeping her lips. Stepping out from shadows, the scar appeared first. Blood-red, and wrinkled; a mark of the devil as it were. Given by Shatocwnn a long while ago.
Emerald orbs glistered darkly, insanity thriving within her veins. This was to be a moment to remember; something to comfort those nightmares of hers; something those devils would praise the beast for. "Hello Beastie," drawled the jaded femme, ebony coat shifting ever slightly in the continuing breeze. "You don't know me, but the stories are true. I'm here for one purpose. And one purpose only..." She stood coldly, a devil among wolves - this was her moment. Her strike of revenge. For all those past horrors, and suffering caused. She would fight back. No longer dwelling in the shadows of the Vale.
"You must be Sudak. How lovely to meet you," her words were spat out like poison. Dribbles of salivia clinging to her canines. With her eyes transfixed, she took a clean transformation into the hunting position; her tail poised - still in the air, marking her title, and her insanity too. "You're mine now, wolf. So, deal with it." With that statement made, the beast pouced, aiming steadily for Sudak's neck. With jaw unleased, and claws put forward, it was all a matter of judgement if she caught this varg or not.

An ebony form stalked its way from the shadows revealing a brutal scar screaming out into the blackness engulfing them both. With one word from the fae Sudak's fur tingled and with the metion of his name a chill shot down his spine causing his poised tail to quiver slightly. How did she know his name? She didn't seem natural to start with and the situation was no where neal ideal for the beta mann. Still Sudak held his ground. He was not just about to give up to some intruding bitch who decided to play evil tonight. Her posture showed now hesitation however. She stood tall and seemed to have a psychotic feature to her stature.
"You're mine now, wolf. So, deal with it."
Those words shot through the ivory beta and played tricks with his mind. Who did this stranger think she is? Just as if on cue the fae shot through the air straight as arrow for beta. Her intentions seemed perfectly clear in her actions as she shot straight for the kill. Sudak ducked his head so that her bite would now land clear on his scruff. From this position Sudak caught a good position on her rear leg and took full advantage of this. Quickly he sank his fangs deep through her ankle. Cutting clear through tendons and bone as he bit his hardest if not to crack many bones in the process.
However her attack did not go unnoticed by the mann. Her attack that was to his scruff penetrated deep and she seemed to have him by his spine. Pain seered through his body and all control was lost as his maw shot open in pure horror and pain. Yelps screamed through the night. Therafter Sudak's body went limp. He had passed into darkness and his eyes slowly shut as his body collapsed to the ground.
The scene if beheld by others who happened to be nearby would have seemed to be a dream. A body contorted in the way theres had been during the attack seemed unnatural. It happened so quick as well which only added to the disbelief that could be felt.
Sudak's body lay unconcious in the jaws of the fae. His mind blanked to darkness still uncertain to the fae's intentions, but all that flahsed through his mind during the shear pain and loss, was his mate and his pups. Their forms slowly floating in his mind as if he could reach out and nuzzle each one. Would he see them again? That thought was what scared him the most and what had finally pushed him into the entrothing darkness.
Baaah! Dumb post; still slightly tired from last night/this morning... blimmin' males [no offence,] Oh, and I noticed my accidental powerplaying. . . if you wish for post to be changed, say so now & I'll redo the darn thing
A swift change in posture gave Demon other motivs; by grasping his scruff, kidnap came into play. Sure, killing was fun; but what if dear sweet Gryffin already figured him for dead? The sorrow in List would be great, and noticed. Their suffering would be the beginning - the beginning of a new, dark chapter in the life of this valley.
Wriggling from her thoughts, the ebony femme snarled; her salivia clinging from her jaw; dangling down as though to glue to the Beta's pelt. For a moment she hesitated; this was a strong male. The moments seemed too spaced out for him to attack -- yet, as soon as she'd thought it, the snap came down. Straight on her rear leg. The beast snarled, bringing her neck round to watch this beast as fast as a bullet. She felt his teeth, digging deeper; but could the bone break? It hadn't as of yet. Although, one thing made her smile. There'd be one neat scar replacing that bite.
Next thing she knew; after being surrounded by her thoughts again, the white Beta was by her paws. Unconsious it seemed, how strange. True, the crazy bitch was disappointed; but given time, her disappointment would fade. Glancing around calmly, Demon smirked; it'd been a while since her poisoned mind had controlled her actions - she had forgotten how sometimes, the feeling was ecstasy.
"Come on Mutt," mumbled Demon to the unconcious male, half snarled under her breaths. Shaking down her pelt, she glanced momentarily at the wound on her leg. Given, she'd expected reaction - but this beast was something stronger than appeared. Funny old world, she thought. Giving one last glare over the borderlines of List, she lowered her jaw. Clasping the pierced scruff on this male; who lay in her grasps, she slowly began to wriggle herself underneath the white beast. Her plan was to place the unconsious Beta on her back; making travel easier, and ecsaping without a hitch.
Then, as she was doing said task, the females auds perked. Another wolf. Kelvar, perhaps? After all, she remembered her exact words to her dear brother - I am not presence at this boulder in five, come see what's the hitch... Grinning briefly, she awaited her brother. She would need some brute force to watch her back - she could never know when an unsuspecting eye could see the unfolding.

Pacing abck and forth now, the Dragga of Dreagan was greatly adgitated by his sister's absense. She should have returned by now, and yet there was no trace of her on the wind nor of that foul beast she wanted to kill or...whatever. He had little clue of her plans, all he knew was that she needed him there. And so he was. With a great growl and snarl of annoyance, the mann took off in the direction Demon had taken, his dark muzzle low to the ground and following her scent closely. His long shaggy pelt was once a fine, well kempt brown with black hairs mingled amongst them. Now, he was matted, grimey and a great assortments of browns. His legs had darkened into a deep chocolate, along with his muzzle. The prominant markings that stood out on the male's face were great dark rings that encircled his emerald green eyes - a trait that related Kelvar to his sister more so than anything else.
The brute's shorter yet stound and very muscular legs brought him swiftly towards the territory's borders and he slowed himself on approach, lowering his disgusting body and using the undergrowth as shelter to avoid being seen. Yet only the souds of a varh snuffling and grunting in attempt to do something caught his bushy ears. Lifting his head form where he slunk, Kelvar noticed a heap of white fur that was slowly rising, an ebony faemme beneath it. Rolling his eyes and letting out a slight growl he emerged from the brush and padded towards his sister. "You had me worried Demon. You could of given me some sort of sign to let me know you were ok and not in this fool's position instead!" he snarled sharply, glaring deeply into her twin hues. But a moment passed and his anger fell. A wicked smile split his jaw and rows of yellowing teeth shimmered in the dim light as he chuckled coldly. "None the less, let's get out of this pristine place and back to Dreogan. It's too...pleasant here..." he grunted, throwing a disgusted look at his surroundings before padding behind Demon and waiting for her to make a move.
I'm guessing now, this thread is done... -stares dumbly at Sudak-. . . You're mine now. -grins-... ^_^
The female smiled, the presence of her brother comforted her so. And yet, the smile was not cruel, dark - nothing of the sort. It was loving, kind; a twisted change in the appearance of the monster. With the snowy male now positioned on her back, she glanced around wearily. She did not need hassle from other Listern members; this terrain was irritating, too clean for ones liking. Giving a heavy sigh, she drew her lips into a gruesome smile, watching the horizon as she steadily paced.
Reaching the end of the borderline, Demon took a last glance over the terrain. It couldn't of gone better, whispered the devils within. She grinned to herself, ignoring the weight upon her back as best she could. It had been a while, but knowing she could withstand a weight such as this - well, it didn't do Demon's ego any good; that's for sure. Turning to her brother, she blinked silently. Tipping her head, her auds perked innocently. "Let's go," she drawled, her emerald eyes absorbed in the pleasure of chaos to come. She thrived on the adrenalin, the insanity she craved. It was more powerful than bloodlust - pure madness at that.
With one last look, to secure her paranoia, the demonic creature slipped into the darkness. A white parcel sprawled across her back. Now, she would wait, wait and ponder - would her choas stir this valley? She darn well hoped so. If not, well. . . then by all means, she would kill the whelp. He was of no real use to her anyways. . .
