[glow=blue,9,000]Nyobe blinked as a dim light shown through into the back of the den. A crisp, beautiful day waited to greet her. Usually she would have been excited and happy to get out into the morning dew and bathe in the sunlight, but not today. Today was special in her own mind, for the day prior she had found her brother. She sat up, careful not to wake anybody, and slowly walked to the edge of the den and sat. No grin crossed her face, but an emotionless gaze seemed to glue itself there. Sure she was happy to see her brother alive, but a much more tradgic event had been told to her. Nyobe drooped her head as her fur and ears fell over too. She shook her graceful head and said quietly to herself, "Why did she have to go like that? Now Nayati is gone forever, but maybe she has found a place with Tor, Fenris, and the Family, " Nyobe lifted her head and said a little louder, "YOu take good care of her! You hear me?" suddenly tears began to fall and splash on the cool floor of the den. She lay down and leaves were blown up back into the still air and fell once again. She waited, with eyes cracked open and full of tears, for comfort.[/glow]
Here you are Nyobe! ^^

Kenyi, as usual, had been out for her early morning run along the boundaries. Now, her belly full from a rabbit she had caught, she made her way back towards the den, taking in the pleasant morning air, the sleepy golden rays of the sun brushing the tree boughs above her head. She heard the mournful voice of a varg, and slowed her steps as she drew near to Nyobe. "What's wrong, Nyobe?" She asked quietly, carefully, hoping she wouldn't anger her packmate by intruding on her thoughts.

[glow=blue,9,000]Nyobe looked up at the varg appraoching her and tears swelled again in those lonely eyes, "My sister, Nayati...she has left me." Her eyes dropped as she remembered her vision of Nayati's death and shuddered, "She drowned...the worst of all deaths, drowning. Why?" She shook her head and walked up towards Kenyi and sat next to her, grateful to once more have someone to talk to.[/glow]

Kenyi's heart went out to her pack-mate, wishing she could ease the pain in her heart. "I'm sorry to hear of your sister's passing. I pray Tor is taking care of her." She spoke softly, hoping to bring what little comfort she could give to the sorrowful wolf. "Drowning is indeed the worst way to die, but did she pass on knowing you loved her? That is the most important thing, that those who pass on carry our love with them."

[glow=blue,9,000]Tears came down Nyobe's maw as she silently continued. She stopped to think for a second, pawing at a rock on the den floor. She then looked up with red eyes filled with crystal tears and said very quietly, "She...she did not know. Something filled her head those last few days that put her over the edge." She shook her head and got up, walking blindly. She didn't know where she was going to go, just anywhere but here, and secretly she wished Kenyi to follow for the sake of having someone to talk to.[/glow]

Kenyi stood there for a moment as Nyobe walked off, for a moment she considered leaving the varg to herself, not wanting to intrude on her thoughts. But then she thought that perhaps it would be nice to have another varg nearby to offer comfort, and she quietly moved to walk with the distraught female. "It helps to think of other things then just her death. What was your sister like? Think of the happy memories you had with her."

(omg, sorry it took me so long! Exams, projects, and other homework...I hate teachers ><)
Nyobe looked away at this small, yet strong comment. Her sister, the last time they saw each other, was mad at Nyobe for abandoning her. She never really got to explain herslef, but instead dwelled on the fact that Nayati was gone forever. After awhile, Nyobe scented something in the air and lifted her eyes sharply right past Kenyi. A deep growl rose in her throat as she got up and her hackles rised.
A creature stired in the woods, just beyond Nyobe's reach. It stared with michevious eyes as it made its way towards the duo. Nothing could stop this demon, as far as it knew. It had destroyed its kind and wolvves alike. Through this thicket it seemed so invincible with its shiny stick.
Nyobe gasped and nudged Kenyi, shaking this whole time. Her growl was drowned out by the sound of panicing birds, and again Nyobe started. Her legs trembled and her teeth showed, but if she could avoid it she'd avoid the monster approaching them. It was part of her duty to protect Ge-Rad, and she wouldn't dare run out on the only family she ever knew....
((hint: Man is trying to invade Ge-Rad...for this thread at least))
