[shadow=purple,left,300]Shadows mix in with the deepening darkness of twilight, almost undistinguishable from each other. The shadows are from the stone castle - a large, once majestic fortress of men, now fallen into ruin and decay. There is nothing left of the men except for the walls themselves - made by great stones piled on top of each other and cemented in place. Nay, there was nothing left of the men, not even the slightest scent remained. There was practically no sign of life to disturb the ghosts of the once prosperous place. Yet there was life there - a young fae sits in the darkness beneath a toppling ruin of a wall, surrounded by the fallen stones that once kept out the wind and the rain. She is Mist, a daughter of the Deor pack, happy when she is with the vargs she knows, loves and trusts, but also sometimes discontent. Mist is a wanderer, often taken by the need to travel - to be by herself to think, and also to explore. This night is no different, it is simply one of the many times that she has the wind and the shadows for company. 'Twould seem lonely, and it would be, but for the fact that she isn't always alone... She is sometimes joined by other vargs, friends, family or strangers; it depends. When none come, she always has her memories... But tonight there is another varg, but it is hidden by the darkness, and she can't tell who it is - by either scent or form.[/shadow]

The ivory dragga crept carefully in the den following the lingering scent of Mist. He wanted to try to get close to her and try be a father. That was the only thing he wanted was to be accepted as a father figure or guardian. Thunder knew he couldn't replace Graht. He fiddled through his mind grasping for words to say. His paws gently clapped on the hard floor as he followed the scent.
He spotted something ahead, he could barely see it so he leaned on the stone wall and stood on his hindlegs. He spotted Mist, his almost daughter. He wanted to consider her his daughter but he felt Mist might be affended. Thunder padded into view his pelt was a little cleaner and his over all being was better then the last time they had seen each other at the den.
He gulped as he gentled spoke,"Hello, Mist. I followed you because I wanted to you know, chat. I want to get to know you better. I know you don't wanna hear this but. I want to be a father for you, not to replace Graht but just a father or guardian." He paused his eyes on the floor now. "This is coming from my heart Mist. Please give me a chance. I would be honored to be a father for you."
The brute looked into her eyes solemnly his tail wagging slowly behind him. His focus was on her and connecting with her. Thunder was being serious. He felt an eerie breeze rustle through his pelt as he stood gazing at her.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Sharp ears reach forward to catch the quiet sound of steps. Mist watches the other varg pad towards her, her keen golden eyes glowing slightly in the dim light. As the varg is revealed, her first impulse is to frown - for this mann has never been welcome in her heart. But at his sincere words, she relaxes again. "Thunder..." She says his name softly before falling silent again, to think. After a moment, she looks back at him and nods slowly. "Aye... I will give you a chance." She nods once again. "We should talk. Time does indeed heal wounds and dull hatred. I... I thank you for giving me another chance - after what I did to you - after how much I hated you." She listens to her words, shocked at what she is saying. Is this truely her? The same fae who wished she was dead when she found out that Aztec had taken a new mate? Aye... this is her - but she has changed. She was hurt, but was healed, and came out of that pain stronger, and more ready to forgive.[/shadow]

Thunder grinned the words were more than words to him, they felt great to listen too. He was actually getting his daughter to open up to him. He sat down leaving his stance. His tail continued to wag behind him, going faster showing his happiness. The brute was in quite a happy state, maybe Deor would become closer and stronger. He dipped his crania again tossing his long ivory fur in his face.
He smiled wider as he watched seeing the emotional scars almost healed. He then began,"I am glad you have given me this chance. Fenris knows how long I have wanted this moment." He paused his expression turning to a pondering one. He continued,"So Mist, what would like to talk about. We could talk about our feelings, the pack, your mother and my mate?"
The breeze ruffled through his pelt as if running fingers through it. Thunder yawned slightly as he sat on his bum. He watched a rodent speed as he waited for her response.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Mist nods and smiles at Thunder, still feeling strange from her change of feeling. "Aye, let's talk about Deor.... It has always been my pack. I was born into another, but barely remember anything about it. It seems only like the memory of a fading dream. Were you in a pack before you met Aztec? Or were you a wandering kerl?" Right as she finishes, she realizes that that was maybe not a very good thing to ask. Thunder might have painful memories that he doesn't want to talk about, and she might have just brought them to the surface once more. She lowers her head, looking down at the snow beneath her feet, hoping that he won't be hurt by her questions.[/shadow]

Thunder lays down resting his cranium on his paws his talons dug into the cool ground. He listens to Mist thinking of his own past. Remembering the awful mother he had allowed to adopt him. She wanted to kill him, even though he had offered the suggestion she shouldn't be his mother. He shunned the thoughts away as Mist asked him about his past pack.
He then cleared his vocals and said,"Oh my pack you ask. When I was a whelp I was born alpha's son. The back was ravaged by humans and their fire. I survived and wandered on my own. I found Ge-rad and joined, together Talla and I were hunters. After my Ge-rad years I left seeking a mate, I found your mother and here we are. I think we probably should have gotten to know each other better, but Fenris was on our side and we have been happy together."

[shadow=purple,left,300]Mist nods slowly at Thunder's story - the first part of it much like her own - and looks down... remembering. Her pack had also been killed by the humans when she was a pup. Aye, she had survived, but the hate of men that was kindled that night also survived. She doesn't remember her pack other than happy images and the gentle voice of her mother, but she knows that, while they lived, they were a happy pack, and she was happy with them - as a pup. She looks back up at Thunder and smiles. "Aye, I think it was a blessing that Mother met you when she did... it is good to see her happy again."[/shadow]

Thunder casually nodded as he looked to side remembering the fire. The heat, the sweat pouring from his wolfish brow. The loud howls of the men and the blows from their sticks. The hate and fear pulsing through his veins. He began to sweat as he remembered it, his fathering tossing him and his sister over the firey enclosures wall. His sister fled, but when he tried he found no opening. He had to hide in the bush watching his parents and pack's death. He remembered his father's proud howl he emitted as he went down with his pack.
The image was forever branded in his mind along with the face of his long lost sister. Her name was erased from his memory. His great father Bemp and his loving mother Lilt, the proud alphas gone. As the sweat left his face and a small tear dribbled from his cheek he returned to the bittersweet reality. Love was sweet and hate was bitter and that's how it was.
He turned to Mist and cleared the troubled look instantly his tail still wagging wildly behind him. He gave a fake smile to her his head slowly being emptied from the dreadful thoughts. He then said,"So... Aztec miss me? I mean I feel incrediblely awful about leaving her alone for so long. She did so much, I bet she almost felt I left. I can not forgive myself for my sin." He paused and shook his head shamefully. "But I can move and be better mate, father, and Dragga now."

[shadow=purple,left,300]Mist watches Thunder intently - silently - as he thinks about his past. Though the memories are unknown to her, she realizes that he must be remembering something horrible from before she met him. As she sees his eyes glistening with tears, she looks down and focuses on the snow beneath her feet, pulling it into a small, powdery pile. At his words, she looks up again to see an attempt at a smile on his face, as the memories clear from his mind. She nods in answer to his question, looking down again, thinking of her mother. "Aye. I don't think she knew what to do... I think she was lost. But she did her best to keep the pack together and functioning. Aye... she did her best..." [/shadow]

Thunder nods acknowledging her answer his eyes darting around the castle. It seemed even creepier at night, when all the spirits came to walk the land. He thought of Wolfbane and his minions as he looked around. On a wall, he saw large claw marks on the wall to big a wolfen. He shunned his eyes away and grinned at Mist.
He then said,"Your mother is one brave wolf. I'm sure you know it but everytime I gaze into her eyes I see her courage and bravery. She is the best drappa, she reminds me much of her mother. I thought the same about Zephyr." He paused thinking his tail wagging behind him. "You never know Mist you may follow in their footsteps and be a brave drappa too."
He stopped talking momentarily as he neared the wall with the large indentations that appeared to be claw marks. He rubbed his paw feeling the smooth grooves. He looked back at Mist,"This marks are well, remarkable! I didn't notice these before. This castle creeps me out, especially at night." He laughed softly he told few about his disliking of the castle.
He walked back towards Mist and laid down his thick pelt clinging to him cautiously. He thought of Aztec and a big smile dance upon his muzzle. His sweet Aztec. She always made him happy.

[shadow=purple,left,300]Mist nods, and smiles at the thought of her mother. "Aye... she is amazing. She has gone through so much, and has just come out of everything wiser and kinder, and more expirienced. Such trials would either embitter or break a lesser Drappa. I admire her very much for all she does..." At Thunder's possibility of her future, she looks at him, and raises her eyebrow. She shakes her head and watches him, her eyes glowing. "I doubt it... But, as you say... who knows. I just don't know if I'll ever settle down. If I'll ever stop being a wanderer." Her voice fades as she says this last, and she gazes up at the face of Tor - the moon - suddenly saddened slightly, for no apparent reason. She shakes herself, attempting to shake off the strange feeling.
Snapped out of her thoughts, she glances back at Thunder, and then her gaze turns to the marks in the wall. She nods. "Aye, it sometimes feels haunted. But 'tis a good place to come when you want to be alone... It's starting to become quite familiar to me - which seems strange." Shivering as a slight breeze ruffles her coat, she looks around warily into the shadows - again feeling a strange feeling. She looks back at Thunder, but he seems not to have noticed anything different. Still looking around warily, she tries to be inconspicous - and not show her mood.[/shadow]

Thunder nodded at the thought of the castle being haunted which was more than likely the case. When she said the place was a good place to go to be alone he frowned. His tail wagging slower. He cocked his dial and looked at her. "I didn't interrupt you being alone did I?"he asked curiously. He turned his head to the side watching a couple bats flutter away screeching.
He looked at the corner of his eyes spotting a couple of leering eyes. He blinked and they were gone. He laughed softly, to hide his insecurity of the place. Thunder then looked back at the fae waiting her response.
((Bad post. I snuck on so that's why its so bad.))

[shadow=purple,left,300]Hearing Thunder's question, Mist turns her attention back to him. She shakes her head slowly, and takes a moment before replying with words. "Nay... you didn't really. I was just thinking, that's all - and I don't mind company." She turns and looks at the bats, her attention not fully on them. Watching them until they are lost in the darkness, Mist sighs and looks around her at the now fully dark landscape - dark except for the full moon rising. Tor - rising over the mountains. In answer to her nature, Mist lifts her head to the skies and howls - a long, haunting echo in the night.

Thunder's auds perked at melodic call, he watched as the sky began softly drop water. It was sprinkling on the two vargs. He himself let out a deeper more masculine howl that harmonized with his daughters. The howl seemed to shake the ground beneath them, or so he thought. As he released his howl he smiled at his daughter.
The brute laughed softly and shook his head smiling, his bannering wagging happily. He then kindly growled,"My Mist, you resemble your mother so much. Not by your looks mind you, but by your pure heart. You, I know will grow up to be a remarkable she-varg." His soft words rolled off his tongue delightfully.
He yawned as he paced around, boredom was starting to grow in the room. He frowned and stopped dead in his tracks. He remembered someone, one of his first friends. Thunder had remembered Malise. They had lost touch, Malise was disappointed in him. He then thought of Ramoth, he had lost touch with her too. A Dragga had its downsides and upper parts.
Thunder glanced back at Mist. He then softy inquired,"Have you seen the varg dubbed Malise, or the one dubbed Ramoth. I have lost touch you see... I am afraid I might of lost my first friends." He paused and shook his cranium. "Disregard that. I shan't have you worrying about my troubles, daughter." He freezed as the word daughter sped out of his maw.

[shadow=purple,left,300]As the last echoes from the two howls fade into the darkness, Mist turns and smiles at Thunder. "Well aye... I would be surprised if I looked like Mother - for then I would wonder if in truth I was related to her, and not only by adoption." At his reason for their resemblance, she smiles again, but this time more tenderly. But she isn't looking at Thunder - her thoughts are again wandering. She nods and replies softly. "I have always tried to have a pure heart - and to show it." Then looking at Thunder, she smiles at him. "I thank you for your words. That is one of the best compliments that I could ever hope to have..." At his question about his friends, she cocks her head and looks at him questioningly. "Nay... but I do not know either of them, so if I had, I wouldn't know it anyway..." At the word 'daughter' she stiffens, surprised - and with mixed feelings. She's not exactly angry at him, but she doesn't think she was ready to hear that from him. She's giving him another chance, yes, but she's not his daughter... The silence between them grows heavy, but Mist is unable to break it...[/shadow]
