[glow=darkgreen,2,300]Still winds. Gray clouds. Dribbles of rain. A perfectly painted picture was set upon the caves this day. Nothing could be heard except the distant groans and moans of thunder. Raindrops hit the frost bitten earth with a simple thud, giving nothing but the occasional ant a hard time. For many nights now, the cave had been completely forgotten, abandoned, avoided. Yet, in the early hours of this winter's day, a strange mist had begun to settle over the landscape. The first few strands of new-born grass had stood completely on ends, not a single movement being created. Birds seemed to have died on their feet, no cries or songs accompanying the waking of the valley. It seemed too strange for words. But, before the silence had gained a comfortable position, a small rustle was heard in the depths of the shadowy hideout. From a distance, nothing but darkness could be made out; but from the entrance, a pair of somewhat evil looking orb like eyes could be made out. Poison green in color, they seemed to spell out evil by a simple glance. On every movement, the left one seemed to twist slightly, as though a mark of somekind laid over it. And, infact one did. A single scar was painted thickly over the creatures eye, leaving a bare patch of crimson red- her ebony pelt attempting to cover it, yet failing miserably. As the beast of the shadows moved back and forth, a restless paranoia could be sensed in the atmosphere. This she wolf, as it appeared to be, was distressed. The reason was unknown, yet as she turned her head towards the entrance for a uneased glance, another figurine was standing in the shadows. Frozen in an instant, an angry and warnful growl passed the female's lips. Glaring, she tightened her form, and faced the mysterious thing; yet as their eyes met, the first bolt of lightning flashed... and their identities were revealed to each other.. for the second time.[/glow]

[glow=orange,2,300]The sounds of the rainfall etched the lands, echoing off the forests and mountains, travelling through his ear, and out the other. The frosty winds whistled, dragging about the mist and snow throughout the hollow trees. It was still modday, but the sky remained almost as dark as the raven scavengers.
Rain, in winter?
He sat silently, motionless, under the shelter of a conifer, on the acidic soil that bared solid ground, that prevailed the winters wrath. His eyes remained closed, as the winds continued to howl, bringing about the frigid climate through his thick pelt. Winter was nothing new to him, but he still prefered to rest under the cover of the forest.
Markaz opened his amber optics, to see the wrath of the winter's storm, the winds blowing against his eyes. For a few seconds, he saw the caves through the sleet. The one place of pleasant memories that, still remained in his mind. Stronger winds forced his optics shut as they once were.
It had been long days since he last found sleep, and his body ached of his wearyness. And today, once again, he could not find his sleep.
He brought his optics open, squinting slightly, to see the caves once more. He saw a raven black varg advancing toward it. He watched silently, remaining motionless. Ages had it been since he saw the black she-wolf that haunted his memories, and he saw this varg, as nothin but a dreamy figure. He saw the figure halt, but disappear under the sleets barrier. Stretching his forepaws, he rose to his feet, and shook the remaining water off his coat. And padded slowly and aimlessly forward.
Endless rain drentched his pelt once more, as he drifted toward the caves. He halted, to see a small pond, to the west of him. Lowering his head, he turned and took a few sips of the frigid liquids, as the cold temperature, travelled through him, cooling his blood.
Running his slips accross his teeth, he lifted his head, to see the poison green optics of the phantom that haunted his mind. He halted completely, and stood motionless. Too long he had waited for this day, almost as if, it was of little importance to him. Too many words, memories, images flashed his mind, uncontrollably, yet none escaped.
His amber optics locked on the she-wolf, as her green optics met his. At times like this, silence went noticed, screaming into the storm.

[glow=black,2,300]A smile touched the lips of the she wolf as she absorbed the perculiar silence with glee. Although, as sweet as sugar was the placid smile on her lips, a cruel glisten was resting in her optics. Digging her claws into the ground she stood upon, her hackles rose up slowly at first; but soon they were like the new-born grass outside- completely on end. Twisting her smile into a smirk, she slowly paced around the male; eyes taking in every detail that came into view. Parting her black lips, she revealed a mouth of crystal-white canines. "Who dares intrude on my territory?" snarled the creature, again blending with the shadows for a breif second before melting out of them before the male, like a plague of deathly apperence. "Well?" she questioned angrilly, "do you speak or has Wolfbane removed your tongue?" Sneering, Demon sat on her haunches slowly; tail flickering casually. Oh, how she loved to tear and rip at the mind of others. Her separation from the ones she had loved; left her empty and cold- much like how she had once been before they had come into her life. Believing them be dead; she had never bothered ask of their whereabouts. She accepted their fate, like she had her own. No body wanted her, no body needed her, and that was how she liked it.... for now.[/glow]

[glow=orange,2,300]Markaz knew very well the varg that stood before him. However, he didnt find it suprising that she didnt remember who stood before her, and to him, he found it quite amusing. So much memories, how does one lose them? Then maybe there wasnt ever anything between them, or so it seemed.
Markaz smirked, and stepped forward, watching female threaten him, of his presence. Markaz padded forward, till he was striking distance to the female, as wispered softly. "I dare intrude on your territory, and I suggest to leave from here." Markaz said coldly, smirking slightly. He watched her straight in the eyes, from where he stood. [/i]"Unless, you really feel like dieing this very hour "[/i] He wispered, the rain almost covering the silent words.
He took a few steps back from the female, and waited for the challenge. It would amuse him even more if the one he love, actually tried to murder him, and if she dared to inflict pain, then Markaz would return the same.
Blinking slightly, the rain echoed in his mind, and an image flashed his mind like thunder. The cold, stormy night, Markaz had met her, in the caves, and the many ruthless antics she had greeted him with. Today seemed the same.
He opened his amber optics, and brought them to the emerald poison before him. "Its nice to see, you havnt changed one little bit, Demon. ". He wispered to himself.[/color][/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]Demon smiled, her eyes alit with fury. Sneering, she let his words brush through her mind with glee. Turning her back on the male, she leant round slightly and stared right in his eyes. Smirking, her voice was filled with familiar screeches of loneliness. Flicking her tail in his face, she took a few paces towards the back of the cave, and laid herself down. Looking up at Markaz, she grinned cheekily. "Im guessing you don't remember me... Markaz?" questioned the she wolf lightly, her once angered tone lowered into a whisper. "If not, I am curious..." she continued, "have you ever loved anyone so much, that you have run from the fear of it all? Have you ever loved someone so much that the paranoia of loosing them drove you insane? And have you ever loved someone so much, that the day you returned to be with them.... they threw it in your face?" Feeling her optics beginning to blurr with tears, she turned away her head. Flicking her tail lightly in the dirt, she could have almost winced with the pain that then grasped her heart with its ice-cold hand. Breathing heavily, she slowly stood on her paws again, keeping her visuals on the paws of Markaz; the agony of staring her once love in the eyes almost too painful to bare again. Sighing, her ears perked on her crown softly and let the soothing sound of raindrops calm down the fiery rage of rejection. Frowning breifly, she growled under her breath, and slowly realised that her once tightened form had released itself from the cage it had once created. Slightly amused by this, she could hear Markaz' voice in her mind. The three small words repeated over and over, the poem echoed in her corridors. Closing her eyes, she let the words endure her with tears. No longer underthreat of this wolf, the words began to pass her lips, her tone soft, the pain dripping loudly from each letter that spelt out the verse. "Anger once, and pain twice more I lost you once, and my heart was sore But now I return to find My love gone and wasted away My heart was shattered... this very day.." Sighing, she let the words echo around her, and unwillingly looked at her love. Never blinking, she gave a weak, sweet smile. Hoping, praying, and wishing they could unite again... forever.[/glow]

[glow=orange,2,300] Markaz snarled at the Feamme as she retreated to the dark shelter of the caves. He turned around, watching the emerald optics of his old friend as she did so. The clouds continued to release the frigid water, turning the snowy terrian to shear ice. He remained where he was, still unsure of what he would do.
"And after so long, sitting in these forests, waiting silently for something that seemed so hopeless, looking for something that took forever to find,...." Markaz growled at Demon, gripping the ice with his talons. No, I still dont remember who are..." He growled softly, a sarcastic tone mixing with his voice.
"Such an action seems so senseless, Demon. Tell me..."Markaz said coldly, stepping forward slowly, getting closer, the shadows of the cave slowly consuming is ebony frame. "Did leaving someone, I thought you cared for, change anything? What better has resulted from this?" Markaz growled, his voice louder than its normal tone now.
Markaz padded around Demon, smacking a small herla bone against the walls of the cave as he did so. He noticed small tears fall to the frigid floor from her beautiful emerald eyes, and he felt a strong guilt feeling erupt in his chest, yet his anger still consumed it, stepping on it on all fours. Markaz snarled slightly, bearing his teeth.
"Why, Demon? " [/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]At first when his tone was normal, Demon felt slightly happier. Looking up into his eyes, it was then she realized it wouldnt be that easy. She could tell the anger, and as his voice got louder, she couldnt help but wince with the pain of it all. His voice grated at her auds. His anger ripped at her already shreading heart. And his eyes bore at her skull, the very thought of looking him in the eye scaring her slightly. Swallowing down her tears, she jolted as the sound of the herla bone hitting the cave wall echoed around her. Glancing with a cub-like sadness in her eyes, she gave a weak and apologetic smile to her once love. "I..." she choked, trying as hard as she could to get the words to come out. "I left... becau... because I was frightened.. I ... I thought I had lost you to the ....the humans, " Pausing, more tears left the side of her gleaming and sore optics. Suns without food and sleep had left her sore and highly ill. Extremely paranoid also. "I thought that if I drove them off, you would stand a chance..." she hesitated, and winced as the memories came back. "But, " she continued. "They didn't stop following, and I was driven out of my home lands.... I had to cross towns and cities. Villiages and mountains..." She sighed, and looked down at the ground, swallowing slightly as a tight lump formed in her throat. "But I took the same journey back... and I didn't stop... Didn't stop because..." she paused again, a pain snaring her heart. Growling at the sharp ache of it all, she looked him straight in the eye with weak and heavy pupils. "...Because I still love you..."[/glow]

[glow=orange,2,300]Markaz snarled deeply, as he listened silently, to Demons slurred words. He disengaged his amber optics, from the streaming emerald ones of Demon, and padded to the mouth of the cave, watching the rain deteriorate the snowy terrain into glacial ice.
Markaz shut his eyes briefly, hearing Demons word, as they passed into his mind. Lies, He said to himself, snarling slightly. But then, he remembered. He remembered the night she spoke off, the hunters invaded the Koran lands, taking the Frence drappa prisoner, and injuring many others. He remembered meeting Demon there. He remembered the humans forced them to scatter the diversion, the very moment his life was separated from his love.
Such devotion, he had never seen from a varg, and ...it was all wasted on him? Why? Why would a varg risk they're life to save him off all vargs. What was he worth to anyone?
Markaz spoke softer now, the cold and anger tone removed from his emotion and voice. His voice was but a mere whisper. "All.....all of that?...To save....me? You risked getting killed countless times...so that I would live?"Markaz lowered his head, his ears meeting his skull.
"You recieved a second chance to live, but why, may I ask....why would you waste such a priceless opportunity so that I may live? My life is worth little, less than a small portion of what your worth. You've friends, you've a father, you've a family, for Tor's sake. Your a mother Demon, and I was once told..."Markaz said, feeling a small tear forming, but he shook it away.
"I was once told that....a mothers love...is invaluable...where would our little Sabre be if you didnt make it home." Markaz said.
He turned around slowly, to face Demon once more. " I'm sorry, Demon". He said softly, and lifted his head to meet with Demon's emerald eyes once more. "But I have one remaining favour, that I need you to remember..." Markaz said, padding a little bit closer to her ebony frame.
"I ask of you, never , ever place your life in dangers way, for the sake of mine. Your death, would be ever more worse than mine..."[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]Demon was speechless. The words Markaz spoke brought no anger or hatred to her lips. Only questions that longed for answers. Sighing, she knew inside that the favour he wanted could not be kept, yet in risks of angering her love again she kept this small fact to the depths of her mind instead. "Okay..." she whispered numbly, to the male; her tone still being washed with tears of sadness. Looking up at the shadowed covered Markaz, she couldnt help but notice that same beauty in his eyes that had drawn her to him in the first place. Smiling slightly, Demon took one small step forward, and briefly let her tail wag with her steps. Continuing them as she paced ever closer to Markaz, she prayed inside that he would not step back away from her. That sort of pain would pierce her mind and soul quicker than any shattered heart. Reaching her lovers side, she looked straight into the amber-glowing visuals. With a placid smile still upon her ebony lips, she felt her body brush against his, not intentional. "I've missed you..." whispered the she wolf, emotion welling in her voice. "Every sun that passed, my only thoughts were of my family here..." Pausing, she slowly tilted her head and gave an angelic smile. "And, one hopes..." she continued, "that you can accept my return.. and..." Choking on her words slightly, she diverted her gaze to the entrance of the cave, watched the drops fall softly. "....And try to restore the love we shared... if thats possible?"[/glow]

[glow=orange,2,300]Markaz stood solid, as Demon slowly neared him. He lifted his maw, and gave off a small smirk as Demon smiled sweetly at him. Everything he could ever wished for stood before him, and somehow he was very thankful, but a part of him still held the burden of anger with Demon, and part of him stil wanted to keep his love for her hidden deep in the shadows.
"Before, I had little belief for what many have wished for. To me, theres was no miracle, there was no misfortune. Destiny didnt exist, Fate was a distant form of one's prayers. Before, I couldnt accept the fact that the goddesses Tor and Fenris acctually served the purpose of watching our backs. No. I never thought this real. " He found himself lost in the beautiful eyes of his only love, feeling the warmth that had once existed between the two vargs.
"Now I see you, once again, and I see.... what had ceased to exist for me. I see, that this is real, not some distant fantacy of mine. I see that....what I had no belief for,...has changed to favor me. Why?" Markaz said softly. A small smiled forming on his maw. "Only, because...I see that you still stand before me, and for that....I am truely greatful. "
Markaz felt himself leaning forward, and nuzzling his returned dream. For now, little could tear that from him.
Of the few magical moments in his life, this would prevail in his memory, for never has someone done such a thing for him, and not one other varg had the heart to.
"Now that you've returned, I'm only but a few steps behnd you, my deary"[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]Was it real? Had her lover finally realized that she needed him? Had he weakened to her paws? Smiling, she kept her thoughts buried in the depths of her mind; flinching slightly as he nuzzled her. At first, she was shocked for her only body flinching as it did, but it soon came together. Like a lost piece in the puzzle, she remembered how it was to be loved; and how in all of her fleeing days she'd longed for his warm embrace. Looking into the amber visuals before her, she could think of no words to say. Only her mind seemed to repeat out her words; her jaw still, jammed in shock of her own actions or so it seemed. A few steps behind...? Pondered the she wolf as she slowly waved her ebony tassle behind her, Why not by my side... Realizing that she had become in total silence, she hastily departed her thoughts to the back of her mind. Glancing back up at the form of Markaz, she was soon remembered of why she had fallen for him in the first place. The eyes that reminded her of the fiery sun. The pelt that twindled in the midnight skies. And the smile; that smile alone brought comfort to her very heart. And, yes, deep inside she could feel it. The beginning of a new chapter. The rebuilding of her thinly shattered heart. After moments and minutes of utter silence, she parted her lips; hiding desperately her constant shivering. Not wanting to appear weak to her former love, she smiled and returned the loving nuzzle, sliding a cheeky lick to his nose as well. Hiding her head, she peered at him with her scarred eye, an angelic glitter forming. "So..." she finally breezed, her voice shaky and stuttering. "How is my darling Sabre? Is he well? Does he know of my return?" All her questions came blurting out, one mixing with the other. A massive mess of words; yet she paid no attention to her muck-up. She was too fixed on the eyes of Markaz; how they sparkled in the shadows. Holding herself no longer, she paced forward and let out a small yelp. Leaping around the male, she gave him playful nips and pokes all over, licks and nuzzles by his neck. With her pinkish tongue hanging from her mouth, she smiled and winked at Markaz, the same old flame hopefully being relit on that same old candle- tonight.[/glow]

[glow=orange,2,300] ///Short post, soz D, pressed for time\\\
Markaz smirked, as Demon became playful, yet he didnt return such a playful emotion to Demon. Instead, he layed down on the cold floor of the cave, and rested his head upon his paws, watching Demon, and smiling. The good times were back, and hopefully, it would remain for eternity.
Markaz sat peacefully, for once. It had been awhile since he found himself relaxed. He looked up at Demon, and smiled as she spoke about Sabre, the young decendent. "Ahh, our little son Sabre,...", He said softly, sighing with a slight smile. "He is well, but he has changed significantly." Markaz said, a slight twisting of emotion in his tone. "I have managed to keep the news of your absence from him, and he remains unharmed in that manner. However...our little boy is growing, my deary." Markaz said softly, lifting his head from his paws. "He brought his first Herla to the floor, and I was mighty impressed. He shows the fine characteristics of a strong varg my deary, and he is seeing something in me as a father..."
Markaz brought his head the floor, and sighed silently. He lowered his eyes to meet the snowy floor, as the rain still pelted the vast terrain that layed in view from the caves. "And, may I ask, you are well, my deary?" Markaz said softly, like windy words, as silent as a whisper. He found himself dreaded in the comfort of his loves presence, and felt the strong affects of his exhaustion, and famine. Yet now, he could begin his recovery, for everything was back to normal....hopefully[/glow]

Lol. its a good post hunni. I like it =)
[glow=black,2,300] Demon sighed. Sabre, she thought. Her many suns with the unknown son had blurred her memory of him so much. Shifting uncomfortably, she smiled weakly and wondered how to tell Markaz of the news. Sitting on her hauches slowly, she eyed the male briefly, yet was not shocked nor stunned when she could not look her love in the eye. "Markaz..." she breezed weakly, trying her best to hide the sadness. "Sabre is erm..." she hesitated, swallowing her emotions hastily. "Sabre is not our only son..." Turning as soon as the words came out, she stared longingly at the back walls of the cave. She admired how shadows shifted as they did, and tried to not think about what could unfold. She hoped inside that for once, her secrets would not cause arguments, and if they did... she would never forgive herself at all.[/glow]

[glow=orange,2,300]
Markaz cut his optics from the raging storms, and closed his lids, listening to the soft rain and wind, aswell as the voice of Demon. Yet what she spoke of, seemed completely uncalled for to the conscious of the black Co-Dragga.
He smirked at first, giving off a twisted smile, yet, he noted the tone of the emerald in his mates optics. "Your.....your kidding me right? I mean....I was there....Sabre was the only..."
Markaz choked slightly. Coulld it be? And it was then his mind began to speculate as it often did so. If it was true....maybe it wasnt his....for he was there....and he saw the newborn, and he raised him well. There was nothing, no one else....right? Maybe.....maybe Demon hadn't been faithful....ofcouse it wasn't his.
He opened his optics sharply, bearing a cold look at Demon, his voice filled with soft anger, in its low deep tone. "He's not mine....You werent faithful" Markaz said, glaring at Demon. It could have never been perfect for Markaz, there always was the bad news, there always was the dirty side of the fenris, nothing would ever be perfect. That was the way it was, and he grew even more angry at himself, for feeling for a fraction of a second.......content.[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]As first Demon felt sad, slightly sympathetic for her love; yet as soon as the accusations came, her mind flew. Leaping forward, she bounded on her forepaws and let out a vicious snarl. "How dare you accuse me of not being faithful...!" spat Demon angrilly, violent tears stinging the corner of her optics as they sparkled lightly. As her anger rose, her muscles tensed and her body began to shake. "I have been faithful since our meeting day," continued Demon, letting the tears fall. "He was late! Born when I fled, raised by me... He IS! yours, and if you can't except that..." Demon choked on her words, and looked at the floor sadly. She hadn't meant to be so harsh yet the anger had gotten to her. She had hoped it wouldn't cause another arguement, but all hopes had faded. Giving Markaz one last glance, she frowned and stood up slowly. Snarling, she stormed from the cave and ran in the storm. Only her crying echoed from where she had just been . Running and running, she felt her feet pass through the soft, muddy earth like as though swimming. Snarling with each breath, she finally gave in. Collapsing by an old willow tree, she let herself go. Crying loudly, she felt a sharp pain dig into her heart. Growling angrilly, she looked into the shadows and watched the cave from a distant. "I love you..." whispered the she wolf finally, and with one last tear drop, she let out a violent howl; hoping deep inside things would change, and if she was lucky, Markaz would reply.[/glow]
