[glow=black,2,300]Sneering, the beast parted from her shadowy grave in the trees. Her steps were filled with familiar pace, and her eyes glistened in the moonlight. The dark blue abyss before her rippled constantly, her reflection distorted like the depths of her very heart. Small tears had lined the bottom, yet this seemed to hardly ruin her dark, and somewhat evil appearence. Smirking to herself, she gave her tail a slight flicker; before reaching down and letting the refreshing and cool liquid flow down her throat. After what seemed an eternity, the silence around the she wolf was broken. A small rustle in the bushes behind her caused her to turn. Peeling her lips into a vicious snarl, Demon took a large pace towards where the noise had come from. Sneering, her pupils enlarged until only a rim of poison green was left. Placing her ears on her crown, she slowly died down her snarl, and turned her back on the noise. "Its only the wind..." spat the she wolf to herself, reassuring herself that if there were a wolf out there, she would of caught its scent by now. Taking down another gulp of water, she put herself on her hauches and stared at her reflection, a sense of lost hope in her optics. "If only they knew the truth..." growled Demon under her breath, the passion in her hatred loud and clear. Sneering, her eyes fell over the bushes once again. It really did feel like she was being watched. Noting that it looked like she was frightened, the creature hastily diverted her gaze to the waterfall. The soft sound of tumbling water calming her fiery heart; the remains of it anyway. Sighing, she dropped lazily onto the ground, a cloud of fresh snow flying up. Ignoring it like it was nothing to her, she slowly felt her eyes droop; and before long the beast was in a slumber. Her dreams and nightmares filled with destructive images and frightful memories; the memories of her life... and how she lost everything.[/glow]

Bleak darkness shrouded the visible path of the ebony varg, black on black on black as hearts beat as one. Serpentining through the sparsely greening trees, Tamra wandered aimlessly, revelling in new found freedom, yet suffering with its encumberance at the same time.
Only moons before, he'd left, dropping what little he owned and commencing a free life, roaming wherever heart and paw chose. His mind free to dwell on future and past made his expression soften ever so slightly, yet harden as harsh reality came crashing down.
Licking his lips with faint regret, his direction shifted, instead one which lead towards the lake. Memories of the lake flowed over him, pleasant ones that brought a smile to his maw. Crinkled eyes shut in joy for a moment, though quickly sprang open as another was scented on the winds.
Halting, he crouched low, muscles tense beneath scraggy hide. Ears turned with radar efficiency, nose widened slightly as further air was drawn in and sorted. Faemme; the scent told him. Relaxing fractionally, since it was not a territorial male, Tamra slowly edged into a viewing range, eyes widening as one he knew entered his vision.
Dead, she appeared, yet surely she would smell as such should that be the case. Sleeping perhaps? Yet why would the faemme sleep where there was no cover, no protection against either elements of foes alike. Shrugging nonchantly, indifferent as he always was, Tamra approached the lake side, lowering his head to lap at the cool liquid, wincing slightly as its cold fire burned old wounds.

[glow=black,2,300]Resting deeply, Demon had not noticed the new scent straight away. But as the crunch of steps flitered through her ears, she could not help but look up. Seeing a black wolf from the corner of her eye, she first mistook it to be Markaz. Yawning slightly, she stood up and shook down her pelt. Stepping over, she suddenly caught glimpse of the wolf's farcade. Pausing, she stepped back a little. "...You!" growled Demon suddenly, eyes narrowing. "What are you doing here? Arent you meant to be watching your precious Balkar?" Smirking, she flicked her tassle lightly, proud of the tone she used. Not knowing of recent events due to her disappearence, she was unaware of Tamra's recent retirement; yet despite that she still had some anger left in her mind to this wolf. After all, she wasn't one to settle old scores that easily. [/glow]

Mild amusement crossed Tamras features, as Demon shook herself amiably, clearly taking him for someone else. Remaining in his stood position, water still dribbling down his maw, he waited for Demon to register the real character she faced.
It didn't take long. Fighting back the desire to laugh as her eyes narrowed, he merely arched an eyebrow, looking amusedly as she directed a bitter statement to him. Flicking an ear in idleness, he ran his eyes up and down the faemme, smirking before responding.
"A pleasure to see you too, Demon". His mouth widened in a huge yawn, indifferent eyes resting on her own. With the smirk still firmly fixed in place,
"Aye, I probably should... if they were my Balkar still". Winking, he lowered his head to take another draught of the refreshing liquid. (ooc. Just a heads up, I'm off on a course for the next week, and won't be able to reply till friday Cheerio! )

[glow=black,2,300]At first the she wolf was stunned. Had Tamra just said that he was no longer the first? Hiding her shocked expressions and emotions, she smiled lightly and flicked her tail along the ripples of the lake, a small droplet aimed for the opposing male wolf. Sneering, she couldn't help but chuckle to herself as memories came back. "What happened hunni?" joked the she wolf sarcastically, "kick you out? exile you to the bitter end of your days?" Pausing, she dipped her forepaws into the water and eyed Tamra carefully. For some unknown reason she felt playful for once, and without a second thought splashed water towards the male before her. "If they did..." she continued, laughter sparkling in her optics and a smile on her maw, "...I'll gladly run them through for you..." Winking, she turned her back on the male and gave her tassle a slight flutter. Looking back on Tamra once or twice, she was proud that she still witheld her somewhat flirtious nature. "...Whats the matter Tamra?" teased Demon deviously, "Tor got your tongue?"[/glow]

A single drop of water hit Tamra's muzzle as his head rose from its drinking, joining the others in a silvery cascaded back to their rippling home. Catching the brief flash of surprise displayed on the faemmes features, he inwardly smiled to himself. Remaining silent and impassive, his dark emerald eyes followed her each individual movement, half expecting an attack of some nature before this conversation was through. Raising an eye at the callous question, he found a whole torrent of water aiming for his already dampened muzzle. Turning his head gracefully to oneside, most of it missed his scarred head, though several managed to catch his fur, sliding off its waterproof outerlayer.
She turned, flicking her tail in a manner Tamra had seen a thousand times. Shaking his head,
"I see now the saying 'You can't teach an old wolf new tricks' appears to be correct in your case, dear Demon". Flashing a look as devious as her own, he tilted his head to one side, innocence beaming out from his countenance.

[glow=black,2,300] Demon laughed, a spark fired in her eye. "The same in your case too, it seems," barked the she wolf. Turning to face Tamra, her tassle brushed across the winter's earth, her eyes glancing over his form once more. Scanning for any signs of a forthcoming attack, she took a small step towards him. Blinking casually, she took another step closer. "So," she began, her voice raspy and lighter than usual, "are you going to spill why you left the Balkar rats? Or am I going to have to consult leohlic... if he is the Dragga now I believe?" Smirking as the enermies name passed her lips, she grinned. Brushing past him, she leant down and lapped up some of the cooling liquid, a relaxing sensation passing her body as it trickled down her throat. After waiting what seemed an age, she slowly felt herself begin to grow inpatient, she growled her next word slightly more violently, "Well?" [/glow]

Muscles bunched beneath the ebony surface, instinct winning over as she moved closer towards him. At present, he had no intention of attack, less she push him just that bit too far, and force him into an uncompromising situation. He smiled inwardly at the thought, knowing this devilish faemme to be manupilative in even the smallest things. Yes, he knew her too well to be threatened by her artful manner.
"Yes, Leohlic does now lead my pack. And I hear now, on dusks breath, that you are on speaking terms atleast with my former Second? Perhaps you would do better to consult with him on my departure, for I see no purpose in my speaking of it". He winked, an innocent smile spreading seductively across his maw. It was true though, his reasoning, for he did not want the world to know that the once devilishly handsome youth had grown into a greying wolf. Ofcourse, his uncanny fighting ability would remain with him till his dying day, for Tamra would not let such a gift rot while he withered, but, if he was speaking truly to himself, his speed was not as speedy as it once was.
"But let us not speak of ends, let us speak of beginnings! I hear now that you have landed yourself a real life male, dear Demon, of Koran I believe?" His voice held no judgement, only polite observation.

[glow=black,2,300] Demon smirked, her canines peeking from the ebony lips that lined her maw. "Yes, Tamra..." she sneered, "it would seem that way..." Flicking her auds lightly upon her crown, she drew her ebony tassle over the rippling surface after moments of silence. In the distant the cries and whines of flying scavengers could be made out, and beyond that were the relaxing cries of the kerls of the valley, as they searched no doubt for a place to rest on such a winters night. Glancing over at Tamra as her mind shifted onto other things for a brief moment, she smiled slightly. The scars that seemingly decorated his farcade were for a moment or two pushed aside from her visuals, and for some reason or another, Demon pictured a handsome, young wolf. Growling, she fired herself back into reality, hoping Tamra hadn't noticed her sudden need to slip into an open-dream. "So Tamra, " rasped Demon finally, stretching her form heavily, as she yawned. "Is it fun being a Kerl in the valley? Or is it just as boring as being beyond that? Beyond the walls and mountains surrounding... Is it just as amazing as seeing the human's world close up?..." Smiling, her eyes twinkled in the moon's aura and her paws scraped over a patch of frosting earth. Keeping her optics on Tamra, she melted into her silence, each breath hurting as she felt winter clasp her with it's massive, clammy hand. Chilling her down to the spine, and causing her to shake violently. [/glow]

He watched her drift away, eyes roaming his scarred frame, the misty eyed thought of imagination indicating what type of thoughts filled her mind. Inwardly, he smiled, maintaining an impassive expression lest she realise his keen awareness.
Joining the faemme in a blissfully languid stretch, he yawned widely, baring rows of sharp canines to the frigid nighttime air. At the mention of Kerl, Tamra sprang back to a restrained position, eyeing her suspiciously, visible contempt for such a word.
"I am the son of the Traer pack, and former First of the Balkar, Demon. Kerl does not run within my veins". He knew she related the brand Kerl to his current lifestyle, but to Tamra, such a term was beneath him. "I could never grow tired of these lands, though I long to walk the paths of home. Can't say I've visited many human dens recently though..." he continued, brow furrowing as he silently encouraged her to speak of her new misdemors.

sorry its not that good of a post. roleplay block [glow=black,2,300] Demon's eyes shot up, and over the form of Tamra. humans? thought the wolf silently, eyes narrowing. It was like he had purposely said it, to encourage her to speak of it. Shaking her head, she shook down her ebony pelt, and slowly opened her mouth to speak; yet faulted. Closing her maw, she looked around her, silence the only thing she could detect with her auds- it was creepy in a way, but she didn't let it bother her. "Humans?" questioned Demon finally, curiousity beating her at her own games. Tipping her head to the side, she strained her auds forward; ready to listen, pay attention for once. "Why do you speak of them in such ways Tamra?" Demon's voice was light, and kind; the darkness and devious games had faded into the background, for some reason she felt compelled to a heartfelt emotion, kindness to this wolf. Something in his tone had calmed her, something had triggered herself back, and soon, she hoped, it would be revealed what had done such a thing. [/glow]
