The eye of Fenris was gazing down from the peak of the deep blue sky, watching a single grey figure trot down to the riverside. Kenyi paused near the water, at first gazing at her reflection in the rippling water. Looking back at her was the mature face of a grey wolf, her face well defined and ears perked forward. Her gray-green eyes were kind and wise, and they showed the seasons she had lived. A few scars crossed her muzzle, the signs of past battles like silver threads of memory across her face. She leaned her head down and lapped up the cool water, feeling the pleasant coolness slide down her throat. She drank a few more mouthfuls, and then sat back to clean her paws.

A large male varg stood on a rise near the river. He had been on his way to hunt a herla he had scented down the valley, but seeing his sister, Kenyi, he turned and headed down the hill, his tail waggin as he approached his elder sister. "Kenyi! Good to see you here." A smile brightened his scarred muzzle as he licked her ear affectionatly.

Kenyi turned, a smile spreading across her muzzle as she recognized her brother padding down the slope towards her. "Kerael!" She greeted cheerfully. Though he was normally a stoic and withdrawn varg, he always cheered up when he was with her. She thought back to when he was just a pup, before he had been taken by the humans. He had been such a carefree and happy pup then. She sighed to herself, her heart going out to her younger brother and the hard past he had endured. But she was pleased to see that more and more he had been coming out of his silence and befriending other vargs. She looked at him, seeing the big male with a heavily scarred muzzle and legs, his eyes steel gray and intense. A band of white fur, a scar from his collar, went around his neck. He was well-muscled, and his fur was dark grey peppered with black. The smile on his muzzle lit up his eyes. "What brings you around here to Ge-rad lands?"

Muscles rippling under her dusty silver fur, Zyn raced toward the river. The sky was clouded, painted blue as the sun rose higher in the sky. The wolf ran on as the sencts of the river bank came to her, as well as those of two Vargs, one she hadn't seen for ages, so it seemed.
Slowing her pace atop a grass covered hill, she spotted her sister, Kenyi, there on the riverside. She could hardly stand the joy, and she nearly leaped over the edge.
Before she could take one pawstep, however, she finally noticed the male Varg next to her sister. Her mate, perhaps? Zyn slowly came around to Kenyi.
"Kenyi!" She called as she walked toward her sister, a smile spredng around her striped muzzle. "Whom...is this, might i ask?" She inquired, nodding at the stong male before her. Somehow, someway Zyn felt she knew him, yet she did not know where or how, only that...oh, if only she could remember!

Kenyi could hardly believe her eyes when Zyn approached her. Joy filled her at the sight of her sister. "Zyn! Where have you been! Oh, it's so good to see you!" Her barks of greeting were excited and stumbled over themselves in their haste to be heard. She bounded over to her sister, her tail wagging fiercely. Suddenly, she remembered Kerael standing nearby, and turned to indicate him. "Oh Zyn, can you believe it? This is Kerael, remember him? He's a kerl now, he wandered into these lands and found me!" She turned to Kerael. "This is Zyn, you remember her?"

[glow=red,2,300]A younger male, padding a short way back from the huge Kerl, looked about at the fae and the younger wolf. He stayed a little back, and stood, slightly out of place, looking at his father, and said nothing. Terin's gold-green eyes looked at the dirt, then at his father, then at the other's then back to the dirt. Why he was being so shy, he was unsure...[/glow]

Kerael's grey eyes widened in surprise as Kenyi introduced Zyn. The name seemed to open one of the doors to his past, and memories of his sister flooded into his mind. "Zyn?" He said in disbelief. "I can't believe you're here! All three of us, together again!" Joy filled his speech replacing the disbelief. " He breathed in her scent and nodded to himself; it was truly Zyn! He noticed Terin standing awkwardly off to the side, and beckoned him closer. "You must meet Terin. He's a young kerl I met. I've adopted him as my son."

"Zyn! Where have you been? Oh, it's so good to see you!" the joyous barks of her sister made Zyn hyper and exited.
"Oh Zyn, can you believe it? This is Kerael, remember him? He's a Kerl now, he wandered into these lands and found me!" Kenyi barked. Zyn walked up to the large male.
Kerael's full scent jogged her memory, giving her a flood of flash backs; moments of disbelief, joy, and utter shock clouded the she-wolf's mind. Her and her siblings, reunited at last! Nothing couldv'e prepared Zyn for this. Kerael was her brother!
"Zyn?" her brother said in disbelief. "I can't believe you're here! All three of us, together again!" Zyn could only wag her tail and smile too surprised and happy to utter a single word. She did, however give a growl of joy and was hardy able to stop her self from jumping on Kerael and Kenyi both as her brother spoke.
"You must meet Terin. He's a young Kerl I met. I've adopted him as my son." Zyn noticed the shy looking male behind Kerael. She wagged her tail and finaly spoke.
"Hello, young Terin! Glad to meet you!" She finally managed to sit, her tail still wagging in glee.

Kenyi looked suprised, and then pleased, as Kerael introduced Terin to them. He looked shy, but she could see the eagerness of a young kerl in his eyes, and the love he had for Kerael. "Well met, young Terin." She nodded to him, her smile bright. "So what made you want to hang around with this old fellow?" She winked at Zyn, her tail wagging fiercely.

Kerael cocked an eyebrow (dunno if that's possible for vargs, but oh well!) and said in mock astonishment. "Me? Old? May I remind you, dear sister, that you're the oldest of us." He passed a wink to Zyn. "So you're the old fogey, not me!"

[glow=green,2,300]Terin flinched a little as he was spoken to, but he let the confidence he'd been taught by his mentor, whos sister this was, flow into his mind. "What? ... I'm not sure... he... just makes me feel like I can trust him. It's better then some-" he cut himself off... not wanting too touch those memories, which were raw, like a scar, not yet past sore and pink.
Terin's grey-gold eyes looked to the face of the elder wolf, his ears flattened submissively... but his head, body, and eyes, burned with unmistakeable pride. [/glow]

Kenyi winked at her foster nephew, pleased that Kerael and him got along well. She licked his ear to reassure him. "Just call me Aunt Kenyi!" She chuckled at the sound of it, and the thought of her being an aunt. "Your old Auntie Kenyi!" Her eyes crinkled as she grinned.
