She had been walking for a many a breeze and was quite tired. As dusk turned into dawn, she traveled around looking for a place to sleep. She could not find any such safe place. When the fae saw golden ringlets begin to creep across the sky and the dark pelt turn into purples and reds and blues, the bitch smelled the scent of another pack. The scent was strong.
The still blowing breezed moved her thick, black pelt and and carried the smell of the pack. It grew stronger with every step of her paw. The skin she-wolf kept on, hoping to find a place within the pack territory to rest. The next varg she saw, she would ask. And if they say no...Will they say no...but...no...I wil ask...
She did not see or hear any other for the longest of time. When she was just about to give up looking for a varg, her pelt shimmering in the high sun, she heard the crack of a stick.

As the light of dawn began to thread through the skies, the Beta and Daughter of Koran started out on her daily patrol of the territory. Sleep never came easy to the young female, so this morning ritual of scouting was both productive and a way to pass the hours before the rest of Koran began to stir.
The slender she-varg became a dark brown blur against the snow, tinted golden by Fenris' strengthening rays. Her yellow eyes shown like the brightest stones polished by the current of a river. All of her senses were sharpened by the winter air- nothing would get past her nose this morning. She was ready for anything. So, when the scent of an intruder filled her nostrils, Phantom did not hesitate. Crouching low, she followed the intruder's scent, until the black wolf was within her sight from her hiding place in the trees.
Phantom studied the condition of this unknown varg- she was female, undernourished and desperately tired. Pity flowed through the Beta, but she would not let it get in the way of her investigation. She leapt forward -her back legs snapping a stick as she launched her body into the air- and ran to the stranger. She halted in front of the black female, ears pricked and tail erect. Her lips curled into a growl.
"You're trespassing. State your name and business in Koran, stranger," she ordered- not aggressively, but with not without authority. Phantom waited for a reply, then sniffed the black fur, drinking in the scents of many individual vargs with a like odor- the scent of a pack. But this wasn't a pack scent she was familliar with, not Deor or Ge-rad or even Sarnes. This pack reeked of a short, violent history. It smelled like someone she had known, or, at least, she had known one side of that wolf- the insane side, the side of bloodlust and a thirst for power. The side of the varg she had reluctantly become enimies with. That wolf had vanished seasons ago, and she had heard mnay rumors of her werabouts. It was possible she had taken control of a pack.
Phantom drew pack, snorting in disgust at the scent still lingering in her muzzle. Her growl became feircer. She was unsure of this varg more than ever. Could this skinny lump of fur be a spy from- from her? Or had something more sinister had happened? Better safe than sorry, she decided.
"Tell me," Phantom growled, circling the black female warily. "Do you happen to know of an ebony female by the name of Demon.?"

At the sound of the crack, the bitch perked her ears; at the sound of a voice, she turned her head. Her smell was strong, it was of Koran. The other came closer and closer taking in the black bitch's sent. And then it was asked 'Do you happen to know of an ebony female by the name of Demon?' And her reply,"Demon? Alpha of Dreogan and mate to Kevlar? Yes, I know her-knew her."
To the first question about her name and business, she did not reply just yet. The varg looked about and sniffed the air. Koran was written all over it. "And as for me, my name is BlackStar, former Dreogan Kindermadchen Fuhrer. And as for my business, let's just say that the healer got hurt."
As the other kept taking in her scent, she began to walk away. She looking down at the curious head of the obvious watcher. Many packs, to her knowledge had them. This one acted much like a watcher, cautious of those she did not know and quick to make sure that they are safe for the pack.
"As I am not wanted here, I will leave." She spoke and turned to leave. It is clear that I am not wanted here, so I will not ask.
The snow fairly new and was no where close to melting. It was cold against her paws. A breeze blew, moving her pelt. The air was frigid and she had to find a warmer place soon.

"Alpha," Phantom asked, astonished, "of Dreogan? When did this happen?"
The Beta licked her lips thoughtfully. It all made sense now- Demon had left Koran seasons ago, after the death of her mate, Markaz. So the rumors from List were true. Demon had started a pack. Tarkah would be pleased to know this, if she did not know allready. She and Demon were close- sisters almost. But there was something in BlackStar's words that held uncertanty.
"BlackStar, don't turn away." Phantom's voice lost it's interrogating growl. As the Dreogan healer began to retreat, she trotted beside her, tail held high. "If you seek to rest here, I shall take you to our Drappa, Tarkah. She makes the decisions of who stays and who goes- not I."
She padded a few feet away, paused, then turned back to the tired varg. "Come. This way."

At the question of 'when did this happen?' she replied, still trotting, BlackStar turned her head slightly to see the expression on the other's face. She licked her lips as if in deep thought. BlackStar's llips curled. She knew something, or many things, other did not know and wanted to.
She picked up her speed to come along with the other. "Tarkah? Aplha of Koran. I have heard things. Though few in number, I have heard rumors, both of you and the pack, and of Demon. I did not know her well. But I knew her well enough."
"You knew her well, you were close?" She did not answer of the question of 'when did this happen straight away. She let the scilence sit awhile before she spoke again. "In the warmer monthes. "

THe winds changed, strong enough to pick up the podery frost and sending it along. The snow twirled and swayed and sprayed the white she wolf. Blinking she shook out her fur, ridding it from the ice, though she could not shake off the bitter winds. The white she wolf scented the air, her ears twitched and swivelling atop her cranium to listen to the world around her.
Sounds came to her from all around, but what she was most itnerested in were the soft and almost inaudible crunch of snow under paw. The drappa twitched her black hued ears and took a few paces forward, her hackles dancing along the wind as she waited for the presence of the snow-crunchers. And it came, the forms of two dark hued wolves. One Tarkah could recognize, the other a total stranger.there talk of Demon came to Tarkahs ears and now the drappa was curious. Eyes grew into slits as she watched the intruder. She turned to her daughter, beta of the pack. "Phantom who is this?" Came the calm words.
The drappa's hackles were raised her tail erect as she padded over, her paw steps light as her eyes were on the wolf, never leaving the sight of her bodice. Nares wrinkled as Tarkah took in the faint scent of Dreogan. "You know of Demon?"
Tarkah paused before she concluded"[/b]You're a Dreogan wolf arent you? "[/b]

The black wolf turned to see a white fae, the obvious Alpha. At the first question, directed to the other, the she-varg lowered her muzzle and replied. "Blackstar, former Kindermadchen Fuhrer of Dreogan." At the second question, the black wolf curled her lips, and at that moment a strong, wild wind blew, blowing snow and parting her fur. [ii]I know something you don't know![/i] Blackstar teased in her mind. The bitch loved it when others were wanting her answer, and life did not depend on it. She enjoyed her life for the most part.
"Ah, Demon..." Her lips curled even more, muzzle still lowered. "I am not excatly entitled to say all I know. May I ask why there is such concern for that one?" She, too, was curious of the relations. She knew much already, but she wanted to know more. She like knoweledge, especilly when she knew more than the one she spoke to.
I know something you don't know. She rather enjoyed it. [/color]

"So, you've heard rumors of Koran, of me? No doubt Demon has told others of Koran- she's done it before." Phantom clenched her muscles. She hadn't introduced herself to BlackStar yet, so how would she knew the Beta's identity? How much exactly had Demon told her? "But, if she has been talking about me," Phantom continued, "then you would have a pretty good idea of who I am."
Phantom growled, mostly to keep BlackStar in line, but at herself, too. She hadn't meant for her words to sound so sinister toward the Dreagon healer. Since Tarkah had entrusted the Beta position to her, Demon had turned her jealousy and hatred on her. The dark brown female had tried to befriend Demon, to earn her trust and bring peace to the pack for weeks. They had talked, but the conversations never remained cooperative, and no further words were exchanged. In the end, they had fought brutally. Phantom had seen Demon only twice since then.
Season's later, she had left the pack for good, and rumors of Demon becoming a fortune teller and pack leader began to circle. Phantom had talked with Tarkah about Demon for hours about these rumors. The Drappa had told her of the "bitter-sweet bitch"'s tragic past, and Phantom had felt a great pity in her heart for Demon. But it wouldn't erase the fact of Demon's past actions. Madness was flowing through her veins, along with the opium she so loved to entoxify herself with. Hatred and vengeance is what drove her, and horror and bloodshed was her crimson tea. Phantom could not trust Demon, and any one who associated with her was suspicious.
"Were we close?" Phantom turned her gaze skyward, her eyes almost apologizing to the Gods. "No... we weren't."
She paused, bowing her head in greeting as Tarkah approached them. "I found her near the border, Tarkah." she explained. "She came here without asking Larka's Blessing, and claiming that she wants to rest within our territories." As the Drappa asked her questions and BlackStar answered, Phantom remained beside the Leader. Her eyes locked on the scrawny black female, and could see her lips curling delightedly, as if she was amused. Phantom let a snarl form on her face, growling threateningly.
"When the Drappa asks you a question, you answer it! There's no room for games here, BlackStar. Tell us what you know." Phantom took a step forward, her eyes boring into Blackstar's.
"Now."

At the intensity in the eyes of the other, she let out a small chuckle, though it came out more like a growl. She liked getting at other vargs. "Do I know who you are? Yes. You are Phantom, beta, and daughter of Tarkah. Yes, Demon has spoke of you. By the way of her words, she was..." She let her words trail before she gave a howl of laughter. "Forgive me, but you are a character." Her lips remained curled.
"It was rest I never asked for. As I am not longer wanted, I will leave." The black varg truned and went around the other two, making crunching sounds with every step. When she became a few hundred foxtrots away, she saw a snow bunny, white and plump. She stopped. She knew she could not 'blend in' with her surroundings for she was black and it was white. She lowered her body, ready to pounce. She crept and crept. She pounced and missed. She pounced again, this time, catching it.
She bit it's head and beared her teeth into it's neck until it went limp. She rosed from her stance and brought it over to Tarkah. "For listening. Just because I was with Demon dose not mean I am suspicous." She turned and began to walk again.

The arctic fae watched her cranium tilted as her gold eyes bore into the bodice of the black intruder. Her lyrics of taunt slithered from her maws yet Tarkah was not amused. So this she wolf loved to play wiht her words. Then so be it, two could play at this game. But Tarkah waited seeing what else this wolf could splur out. She gave Phantom a nod acknowledging the scene at hand. Her hackles prickled with impatience. And her jaws yearned to lunge, but the drappa kept them at check.
She looked over as Phantom snarled, Tarkah took a step towards Blackstar, her lips parting in a snarl, canids flashing, yet no lunge or threat to attack was made yet her eyes did not once leave the obsidian wolf.
Tarkah watched still as Blackstar seemed undaunted and thought this all a joke. Or so it seemed. Tarkah let out a huff of impatience as she watched the femme turn and leave. But Tarkah was not so sure yet, she watched, making sure the she varg did not decide to spring herself into attack in mid trot.
The arctic femme watched as she pinned a hare, though prey was surprisingly plentiful this winter Tarkah felt a furious urge in the pit of her stomach. She would not let an intruder hunt in her territory without permission. But the fae dropped theh are at the drappa's paws. Though Tarkah watched still with the eyes of a hawk.
Just because I was with Demon dose not mean I am suspicous.
Now is that what she thought? Did she think that because she was Dreogan that the Koran vargs thought her 'suspicious' Tarkah grinned. "Leaving so soon? Are you sure you don't want to know why we concern ourselves with Demon?"
The words tickled Tarkahs mind. I know somthing you dont know

At the last question, the black fae stopped and smiled. She turned her head slightly so that the white wolf could be seen out of the coner of her eye. Tarkah seemed impatient with her for she did not, would not, give the answer wanted. "I do not want an aswer. I have all the information about the three of you I want already." This was her reply for she knew the answer. Phantom, Tarkah, and Demon were either friends or foes. She suspected former friends for if they weren't, the two would not bother so much.
"And as for leaving, I am not wanted here. Now unless I am wanted here, for I am not, I will leave, never to return, and never to tell you anything. No varg would growl at another in such a way to indecate that that varg was wanted around." Her lips curled once more. Blackstar stayed there a few moments, seeing the vargs' reactions. Blackstar had information they didn't.
A new pack, a new family, a new mate. There isn't much to tell is there? The most vital information is that the pack failed and that Demon is no where to be found. That might intrest them.
"Let's just say the healer got hurt, and so did they."
