The dramatic sunset passed, the dusky pallet of twilight had descended over Transylvania. Pastel blues and faded oranges smudged together like a great masterpiece over the heads of the varg - the peace of the ending day was finally here, the time which the young she-varg enjoyed particurly.
Large, white paws crushed the foliage, not even visible against the snow itself. The gentle crunch of each footfall could only be faintly heard, but it was there. The outline of the she-varg could not been seen either, only the unusual, black tiger-like stripes that adorned her back seemed to float by. Silvery eyes seemed almost ghostly, for they were there but seemingly without a body to give vision to.
Jaws opened, a sigh escaped. Optics were dulled as she thought back, her life had only seen pain and sorrow so far. Her happiness had dwindled, and now she was building herself back up - becoming more social and friendly with her fellow varg. Despite her awkward past in the Far Northlands, her original tundra home, the exiled she-varg was finding the forests of Transylvania just as comforting as the ice. For one thing, she had to say that the varg here weren't so bothered about where she came from, well, most weren't. And not many were suprised by her unusual markings, the black tora that ran down her spine and down her tail. Here was better than home. Now, this was home.
Pace changed to a slight trot, as she moved toward a tree, one that's branches towered much higher than the most outside the Packlands, in her opinion anyway. In the blink of an eye, she was within the branches, an odd white spectre hiding amongst the branches. The one thing she must have been proud of in her life, her exceptional speed and ability to 'climb' trees, and to travel through their branches. Her way of being free. Her way of being alone. Yet she didn't want to be alone, she wanted company on this cold winter's eve. Laying herself down over the branch, in a way similar to the big cats of Africa, she settled. Hopefully one of her pack would stroll along the same path soon, she needed the company..

A thick pelt rippled against the frosty breeze, making the young wolf whom it belonged to shiver excitedly. She too wore a coat of white. And, like the varg waiting in the trees, it was adorned with markings that contrasted the white. Light brown splashes mussied her ears, muzzle, and paws. Bright navy eyes were clear as marbles against her fur and the snow surrounding her.
Morrow sighed. She had been on her own all day, and lonelyness and boredome ached her. She couldn't gather herbs in the winter- most could not thrive in the cold- or even think up a story to pass the time. The young varg was glad to be back near the dens as Fenris decended into the western horizon.
She slowed her pace, sniffing at some fresh tracks. A pack mate had been here recently. She follwed them, nose to the ground. After a time the trail ended abruptly. Morrow lifted her head, puzzled. There were no other tracks near by, except her own. Wolves just don't vanish, she thought. Without thinking, she gazed up into the sweeping branches above. Silvery eyes stared back at her- the eyes of a wolf.
Scent told her that it was a varg of Koran, but she hadn't met many of the newer members. Perhaps this was one of them. The fact that the striped wolf was in the tree was perplexing to Morrow, but she didn't find it at all impossible.
Lifting her stained muzzle, she called out a greeting. "Hello," she yipped.

[I'll apologise in advance for this post - I have no muse whatsoever.]
Feline posture didn't change. The large wolf gazed down upon one of the Pack's other members, Morrow. She'd heard talk of her, daughter of Koran's great healer, Snow. As her form lay in the snow-covered branches of the trees, the black markings seemed emphasized in the growing shadows that were beginning to creep over the land as night descended.
As the greeting from the brown-tinted fae entered her auditories, she smiled and rose, leaping down so quickly the untrained eye would miss it. Her training as a cub was showing now, now it would come in use - even if she was so far away from her home in the Far Northlands.
Lowering her quite bulky form upon her haunches, the femme smiled again before replying.
"Good evening"

Morrow grinned as the other fea lept down from the branches and into the snow. Her tail wagged furiously as she said, "That was amazing! Where did you learn such a feat? I've never even heard of a varg who could scale trees."
This tora-gee wolf obviously was from the far north- that was given away by her thick pelt- but did all wolves of the arctic know how to climb trees, or was this single varg speacial? The healer-to-be cut off her thoughtful questions. Meeting another packmember was one of the worst times to be lost in silent queations.
"I'm Morrow," she growled in a friendly way.

A smile painted across her maw, as she watched the chocolate-stained fea through silvered spheres. All those who'd seen her in the trees seemed puzzled, she had to admit. To her it was normal, but being a 'chosen one' once upon a very long time ago, it was natural to her. Since she trained as a cub to do so, it was nothing unusual. And yet here in Transylvania, the varg had never seen a wolf capable of such an odd trick.
"Thank you.. I suppose you could say I learnt it a long time ago, as a cub.. That was when I lived in the North - my old Dragga and Drappa taught me, but I much prefer my life now - Tarkah is a much different leader than what I used to know. And I see that many have not"
A chuckle escaped her ivory jaws, and the Tora-gee rolled her shoulders back as she often did. 'Morrow eh? So this is Snow's daughter. I see their similarities'

//forgive the wait. my muse died and took me to hell with it.//
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Exerci."
Morrow couldn't help but let her tail wag. Besides her family, she only got to know one other member of Koran- Takuto, the brown and gray cub. The rest of Koran was somewhat of a mystery to her. Morrow spend most of her time training with her father or daydreaming new stories to tell. She wasn't an anti-social varg, just too keen on her work. Meeting a new face was like a cool breath of air to her- it was clarifying.
"So, um..." she licked her lips, trying to think. "How long have you been in Koran? Has tarkah given you a specific place yet?"

//Same here - I apologise for the wait ^^//
"It is nice to meet you, too, Morrow"
The cub was a pleasent young she-varg, she could see that she would grow to be a fine storyteller and member of Koran. Good natured, polite, a true Koran varg if ever she had met one. And yet, she seemed ever so excited to meet another Packmate, just like she had when she was younger. A smile painted her visage, and the fae let her own tail wag slighty - she was still very young at heart.
Letting her paws scrape at the ground, she thought into the future, and what she expected to see there. It was true, she expected to see Phantom and Kadin as great Leaders, and the current adolescents of Koran grown to be adept in their own special skills. Yes, everything would be pleasent here. Hopefully, there would be no huge battles to fight, but no body could ever see that sort of future - that was not for the varg to decide.
As Morrow asked her a question, the fae smiled once more before replying. "Well, I joined Koran as a mere cub, but I had to leave for.. family reasons. I recently came back, back to my home. And yes, Tarkah gave me the position of Lead Scout"
The she-varg was not one to boast of her position - she wasn't like that. The beliefs of the Hyucha ran through her veins - the beliefs of treating others equally, and that what others classs as a sikla, is one just as worthy as yourself. And so, she was reluctant to reveal her rank, just for the sake of the others around her - she never wanted to boast.
