Snowfeather crept silently out of his den and left behind his pups and mate to greet the crisp morning. Snow was up earlier than the rest of the pack, which is nothing out of the ordinary. Snow had two favorite times of day; late at night when the crescent moon shone brightly in the sky, and the crisp morning before the world awoke from their soft slumber. Over the past couple months, his pups had grown so very much. Morrow had described her feelings to her father on what she wanted to do with her life and that she had decided that she wanted to follow the footsteps of her father, mother, and the many Koran healers before him. Snow, thinking to himself, decided that today would be an excellent day on which to begin to instruct his pup on the proper healing methods.
Snow padded gently into the den and woke Morrow gingerly. "Come on little one, today will be the day on which you learn of your future." [/color]

Morrow wimpered sleepily as she felt a gentle nudge. Her eyes fluttered, then closed again. it was her father's voice that finally pulled her out of her dreams. She blinked, her dark blue eyes gazing up at her father. She stood on her paws, and stretched out her legs.
"What is it, Papa?" Morrow asked, following Snow out of the den. "Fenris has barely risen. Why are we awake so early?"

Snow spoke softly and jokingly to his daughter "Hush my dear, do not wake your mother, you know how she can be in the morning." Snow led Morrow quietly thourgh the wood of Koran. "Many moons ago, as a kerl, I came across these woods. Here i found a pack, newly started, and in need of new pack-mates. I joined as a pup and soon grew to be the pack's first healer." Snow continued to walk forward as Morrow ran between his legs. Although she is a very precocious pup, she still has many pup qualities. Once Snow had found a good spot well into the woods of Koran, he layed himself down and invited his daughter to join him. "Come little one, sit beside me." he beconed. "In this world, there are many wolves. And even greater than the number of our varg bretheren, are the dangers that threaten them. There are not many ways to stop these dangers from taking their effect, however, the job of a helaer is to heal the wounds that the danger causes. A healer is respectful and listens to instinct. Healers do not panic. We are the calmest of the group. Now, before I teach you anything more, i must ask you this question. When you are a healer, the lives that surround you lie in jeopardy. Do you posess the responsibility, and state of mind to deal with this in the best possible manner?"

Full of energy, Morrow, started the stroll by darting in and out of her father's tree-like legs. But, soon picking up the seriousness of his workds, she calmed herself, quickly, and simply walked beside him as he talked. Soon, he beconed her to lay with him beneath a the trees. She obeyed, and gently flopped herself beside her father.
As Snow spoke of his time in Koran and the heavy responibility of healing, Morrow listened intently. The job of a healer was very inticing to her. She loved all life deeply, and she wanted to help the pack, and possibly other vargs, survive whatever plagued them. But, she wanted to follow in her father's pawprints as well. She wanted to make Snow the proudest papa in the world.
At his question, Morrow tipped her ears in thought. "Hmm.. well, I do. I mean, I hope I do, anyway," she said quietly. "Do you think I do, Papa?"

"Yes Morrow, i believe you can. However, you must decide this for yourself. I know you want to help our friends, and i believe that you will one day make a great healer." Snow searched deep within Morrow's eyes. They were filled with the compassionate will, yet deep in those pools he saw the dream of the day tugging at her focus. Morrow reminded Snow much of himself as a pup. She would grow up to be just like him. "Well then, let's get this started."
Snow rose to his feet and beckoned Morrow follow him. "As we walk among the Koran territory i will show you the dangers and uses of the remedies used by all healers before us. Ah, why don't we start here." Snow sat down beside a patch of strong scented peppermint. He knew Morrow would not know what this was, but he also knew she would remember the strong scent forever. "Do you have any idea what herb this is daughter?"

Morrow's tail began to sway as Snow told her what he thought. She gazed back into her father's face, and her eyes sparkled as she saw the pride and hope for her future in Snow's eyes.
She followed him, and when he questioned her about the herb, Morrow furrowed her brow at it. She hadn't a clue at what it was, but she knew that she was here to learn about it and all the other herbs that grew in Koran.
"I don't know, Pappa," Morrow answered. She dipped her head and sniffed the plant. "It smells strong. Does that mean it's a strong medicine?"
