A wonderer By nature, a varg with light brown fur and a hint of red streaks flowing down his flanks, and a missing right fang. The wolf looked to the sky and was amazed to see a full moon. It was still somewhat day light as it entered dusk. The air around him was beginning to become fogy and in the moist air he fancied he saw another varg. Bloodfang knew that he was entering a new packs territory. He knew he was supposed to ask for trattos blessing. But he hesitated. He had never been so far from home and he was unclear of how the varg around him would react to a stranger. Just then the fog lifted a little and he could see the full shadow of another varg. It was almost mystic. Looking out between the trees and boulders to a kind of ghost like figure in the distance. Bloodfang was almost compelled to run away in fear. but as he was about to run away he noticed a sound. It was a twig snapping. He looked around franticly to see who was drawing near. But he realized that it was him who stepped on the twig. He was sure the strange varg noticed him by now. The shadow grew larger and larger in the mist just as BloodFangs fear did inside of him. It was now that he could see the varg in front of him standing not two tree branches lengths away. "I ask you Tratto's Blessing" said bloodfang trying to sound as unafraid and as confidently as he could. By this time the moon was directly overhead and the mist hung low to the ground. There was no sounds of lera or other varg. But the sent of a pack near by was a strong one. "My name is BloodFang" he said to the strange apparition like varg "Who are you"? But just then a faint wind moved the mist away from the face of the stranger. "Could it be that you are the Drappa named Tarkah?

"No, young one. I am not the Drappa..." Phantom said softly, emerging from the brush. Her scruffy, dark brown fur ruffled lightly in the wind and her blackened ears pricked with interest at the cub. She had been restless, spending yet another sleepless night patrolling the area, when she had heard the cry of Tratto's Blessing. Instinctively, she came to answer it.
"I am Phantom," she paused, and smiled, "the second Drappa. I'm the Beta of this pack." She dipped her head in greeting, her hard yellow eyes shimmering in the moonlight. Then she trotted forward a few paces. Her thin body seemed to float across the snow as she padded silently. Phantom's ghostly appearance lived up to her name.
"What is it you seek here, BloodFang?"

Bloodfang hesitated again as phantom looked at him. But not because of fear, but because it felt like so long ago when his pack was murdered by man that he almost forgot. witch is exactly what he was trying to do. He didn't want to remember the stupidest decision he has ever made, to kill a human cub to save himself from starvation. A decision that affected his entire pack.
"I have killed and eaten a human cub to save myself from starvation , and in a fit of vengeance the humans killed my pack. I am the only surviver, and there is not a day that goes by that i don't regret what i have done. So I wondered for weeks through the seemingly endless miles of snow looking for somewhere to call home" said bloodfang. The wind was beginning to pick up as it blew the mist completely away. Bloodfang could see now the wiriness in phantom's eyes. She was tired and so was he. And hungry for that matter. And if there was one thing Bloodfang could not stand it was hunger. With the sensation of hunger comes the memories of the boy running for his life with a starving wolf on his tail and the death of his pack because of it. These where memories that bloodfang tries desperately to forget but knowing that he can't is maddening. "Phantom, can I stay here for the night"? asked bloodfang. "I have nowhere elce to go"...

"If you are looking for a place to stay you have chosen the right pack!" The blue tinged she-wolf emerged from the braken and brambles, her eyes a deep shade of emerald that glowed with solemn kindness. She smiled at the young dragga. "My name is Kahuri, I am the storyteller of the pack." Her bushey tassel couldn't help wagging softly. She turned to Phantom nodding in respect. "Nice to see ya Phantom. You look tired..." But there was a moment of hesitaion as she caught on with the youth's tale. Her grin faded away. "That's... terrible. So young, yet so many hardships have already befallen you." Kahuri lowerd her head, peering into the wolf's eyes. "Don't worry, coming here is a good choice. We will take care of you, and you will be safe."

It has been a long time since bloodfang was shown any real kindness. The young varg instantly had alot of respect for Kahuri. She seemed as if she could tell him all there is to know about the world and then some. And when he looked into her emerald eyes all of his fears had abandoned his mind. But there was still the haunting memory that looms over his head every time he thinks about his past. How his family was hunted down by the humans. "Humans, I hate them, they are an abomination" thought bloodfang.
As bloodfang stared up at the moon overhead he started to yawn. He hadn't slept in a day and a half during his travels. The whites of his eyes where completely blood shot, and he could hardly stand strait. And his hunger only continued to grow by the moment. But he was to tired to do anything about it.
"Thank you Kahuri and Phantom for taking me in. I am eternally grateful for your hospitality" Bloodfang said with the beginnings of a smile on his muzzle. And with that he seen a patch of moss on the ground just under a birch tree that looked like a comfortable place to sleep. But as he was padding over to it he had a sudden realization. The men who killed his pack might have seen him escape and they might be looking for him. But he has traveled so far so fast that he didn't think there would be any real danger. After all, the chances of finding him where slim to none. But still there was a chance none the less so he ran back to Kahuri and Phantom and told them about the possibility of danger...

Phantom listened to the young varg's story with open ears. When he told her of his terrible deed, the dark beta shivered and shook her head. "That was a terrible thing... but you had no other choice. One must survive..."
Phantom smiled as the wise storyteller padded up to them. "Hello Kahuri," she said with a wag of her tail. "Heh, yeah, I am tired. I haven't been sleeping well."
She turned back to the cub, who was heading toward a birch tree to sleep. Phantom turned to Kahuri again. "We should get Tarkah. She'll want to meet him..."
Bloodfang bounded up to them again, and told them of what might happen. Phantom knew what he was saying was possible, but it wasn't very likely.
"You've traveled too long and too far for them to catch you now, Bloodfang. Man may be cruel, but He wouldn't waste his time going after one varg. C'mon now, you can rest wherever you like. I can fetch you something to eat, if you'd like. You look half-starved."

"Thanks Phantom, but I can wait until tomorrow to eat. And I suppose you are right. What man would go out of his way just to hunt one specific varg?" Bloodfang's suspicions subsided a little and he made his way back to the moss covered ground. And as he sat down he started wondering again "That human cub looked alot like the man who seen me. Perhaps he was the boy's father? And if its one thing I know for sure, Man can be extremely vengeful especially toward the wild wolf". "But what am I worried about, I am at least 40 miles away from where it all happened" Bloodfang muttered to himself.
That night Bloodfang had a nightmare, but not the average kind. This was that once in a lifetime super nightmare where you prey to die in the middle of your slumber because the pain feels so real. It was one of his family and the human. He had similar nightmares after his family was massacred. Except this one was particularly bad. At first the dream started pleasantly, but then it turned dark. His mother was telling him that she would never leave him, she loved him to much and his father was beside her the nodding his head. Then they where walking in the woods in a somewhat average day when it started to get so dark and so fogy that he could no longer see the trees, It was just black and mist. And when bloodfang looked to his side to see if his mother was still there, She was gone and so was his father. But then he seen something in the distance. It was a army of men waring pelts made out of wolf skins. That sight was terrifying enough but then he seen something he would never forget for as long as he lived. It was his pack, His brothers, sisters, and his dear dragga and drappa. The men where skinning them alive, and while they where doing it they where laughing. But his dear family was writhing out in agony as their skins where being pulled off their backs by 4 horses. And when he heard their cries for help bloodfang prayed for death just to escape the pain of loss.
And with that Bloodfang shot up out of his sleep and with the most mournful howl he has ever made he shook the heavens in which tor and fenris lived in hopes that his family could hear him up there. He was covered in swet, and he was shaking almost uncontrollably. His eyes where so bloodshot it was hard to see the whites at all, It was just red. He could hardly see and he was so out of breath that his mind could not register his thoughts properly. So in a sense he was temporarily lame...
Sry for the absence... my computer fried *tosses it out of the window*

Wow Phantom, that picture is sort of... Creepy
A soft smile spread across Kahuri's muzzle. "You are very welcome Bloodfang, it is no problem at all." She turned to Phantom nodding, "Yes, we should probably fetch Tarkah, I can do so is you want to stay." Just then Bloodfang hurried back over to the two she-wolves, there was fear in his eyes. Her auds strained forward at his words, and there was a moment of discomfort inside her too, yet is sizzled away. "Quite true, that happened a while back if I'm correct, why would they continue?" She stepped forward and gently nudged his with her muzzle, just go and get some rest, By Tor you look as if you haven't slept in ages." Poor thing. She sighed as the young dragga had gone, He'll be safe now. She nodded to herself then returned to Phantom. "Should we stay here for the night? Or go fetch Tarkah?" She asked the beta, sitting down on her haunches and scrabbling at a stone with her paw. She wasn't sure how long she had been sitting there, or if she had fallen asleep or not. Whatever occurred Kahuri suddenly found her ears filling with a long, desperate cry. Her head jerked in the direction of Bloodfang before she got up and bounded towards him. "Bloodfang! Bloodfang! Are you alright?" She called, looking around for danger immediately. She positioned herself protectively in front of him, yet saw nothing. Slowly she turned around, peering at him with concern. "Was it, a dream?"

Tarkah stirred, her backlegs twitching as she rollved over onto her side. Her eyelids were shut tight as she dreamed and slept. Her backfeet kicked evry so often as she squinted.
Tarkah shivered. Trying to focus on what she was seeign in that vivid dream off flashes of images, long long time ago. There was a pack a family. Tarkah saw herself, being bowled over by a larger white male pup. 'Maverick stop it!' " Tarkah had muttered outloud. Suddenly she could see her parents face's both scolding and loving. THen another flash and Tarkah found herself standing in the same spot, but no one was there, everything was gone. But then she heard her name, echoing luring her in. Tarkah turned to catch a glimpse of a majestic white he wolf. It was her brother Maverick. 'Maverick!' Tarkah whined in her sleep. Tarkah ran as her paws swiped the air. She was runnign closer to the white shape but the shape began to fade away. 'goood bye Tarkah' the white wolf spoke. 'Noo brother!'Tarkah barked before being engulfed by black and a bitter coldness.
Tarkah lifted her head, she was shivering from head to tail as she got up from her den. It was dry as she waddled from her dry leaved nest to the entrance of the den. Golden eyes pierced the night. It was still dark, and the sky still filled with stars. "Oh Tor, what has happened to Maverick. I haven't had that dream in ages, why now?" She muttered before jumping up. A mournful and painful howl was sent into the air. And the howl had made Tarkah's spien shiver with worry. In a flash thewhtie drappa was hurlign herself into the midnight terrain. ***
Tarkah panted , her tail curling as she looked about. THere she saw the vivid forms of Kahuri and Phantom, highlighted under the cool pale essence of moonlight. But there by the two was a pup. Tarkah curious loped towards them before yawning. "Good morning ladies" Tarkah spoke before cockign her head at the little male pup. She looked up, "Now who do we have here?" Tarkah asked softly, lowerign her muzzle to give the pup a gentle nudge. Tarkah frowned and cocked an ear. He golden eyes falling onto the momentarily petrified pup, his eyes bloodshot. Tarkah scented the pup and nudged his silky puppy fur gently with her nose. Tarkah twitched and licked her lips. She had scented human scent on the pup, but it smelled to be far away and had been a logn time ago.
So the white drappa sat on her haunches and looekd to Phantom and Kahuri, "Oh dear what has happened?" Tarkah asked in a whisper, clearly askign about the history of the mysterious pup.
(sorry bad spelling, no tiem to spell check >.<)

Her tassel rose at sight of the white Drappa cresting a hill not to far off. It was Tarkah! But Kahuri already could see the worry in her eyes, she must have heard the call. The blue tinged she-wolf smiled weakly, dipping her head in respect then looked over at Bloodfang. “This, is Bloodfang. He is hoping to join the Koran.” By now she couldn’t wagging her tail, a new member! She couldn’t wait to show him around the land and introducing him to the other members, well at least almost all of them, Demon- was not all the time that pleasant. A brief moment of silence fell over the four, Kahuri made an effort to break it. “I don’t think there is any danger. It was just a dream, right Bloodfang?” She did hope that was it, she wasn’t in much of a mood for a fight. Especially with the cold nibbling at her toes until he could feel them no longer.
