It had happened. He had done it. It was over. For so long he had pondered upon the question that came to him when he chose her as his mate, and he had decided. For so long he ran with the Balkar, but now, but now that was gone. He left the Nigth Hunters. Drake walked boldly into the Koran depths again. It search of her. To tell the only one he could, and would ever love. Midnight. All the time with the pack was now gone, sprouting form a leage of evil males to a simple Kerl. But what was the point to care any more. That was the past, however it was hard to forget such things.
Anyhow, Drake now walked the land with a new stride. But was it one of pride? Was this something to be proud of? It was a painful choice, yet it awoke a strange confidence within him. Maybe, maybe there was a chance for him to start a new life. To get another chance?
The scent of the pack fillled his nares as he came deeper in the Koran's realm. This was a daring act, but it was almost desparate. His tattered head with a torn left ear swung from side to side as he searched every shadow. He still smelled and resembled a Balkar, so there was still a chance that the memerbs may decide he is an enemy and attack. But it was a chance he was willing to make. Some how he would persuade them, or simply tell the truth and hope that there was a chane they would believe him. Midnight would help him, he atleast knew that. But there was another reason, Kahuri. His sister and enemy. What would she do? With even greater caution Drake continued, growing even more tense by the minute.
