[glow=blue,2,300]'Ixy... promise me something...' The dirty silver fae turned her gaze on her sister hesitantly. 'Anything' The ebony female returned the gaze- but with a soft loving look, 'you'll take care of the cubs and yourself' With a slim smile creeping over her muzzle Ixy replied 'of course i will- you know i would never let anything happen to any of them' Now it was the black wolf's turn to smile. 'I will miss you very much and i wish it didnt have to end this way... but I'll always be looking down on you. I trust you Ixy and i know with my departure you will hold to your promise...
Looking up to the sky with sad eyes, the same silver female wandered back to a place she vaguely remembered. She couldn't help but be drawn back home- it was almost impossible for her to leave in the first place. She had failed- agian. But this time was different- this time she failed Shato. She couldnt imagin anything worse in the world than that. Once Shato had passed away, Ixy had fled List and run away. She ran for days, barely stopping. Shato was her only family member, without her Ixy was more alone than ever. She couldn't go back to list- she wouldnt be able to go there for a very long time. She decided to go to Koran instead. She knew everything had changed while she was away- she just hoped Tarkah was still there...
Lifting a dreary muzzle to the blue skies Ixy asked tratoos permission to visit her old friends[/glow]

The blue skies were deadly bright blue. A cloudless day it seemed, perfect summer weather. But why was the day so bright when mourn was in the air?
Deep in the labrynths of koran existed an ivory she varg. Once proud and strong she was, as if she were invulnerable. Unbreakable. Until one found her weakness. In the depths of the Koran dens a lump of white lay, swrawled. The form of the wolf a fluffy arctic femme. Here head on her paws as her mind was plagued deep in thought. She was thinkign back, to just the other day when her mate had returned. She had been harsh to him, gave him a cold shoulder. Tarkah growled and rolled away in distraught.
Tarkah closed her eyes tighly when she heard a howl. Ears flipped up as she cocked her head in wonder. This wolf she had not heard before. Tarkah slowly got up onto her feet and shook out her feet. Wit ha tired yawn she began to pad towards the bringing of the howl.
Tarkah growled as she trottted closer to the borders. Her hackles rised to meet the intruder as her claws dug into the soft earth. Tarkah barked to the wolf. Her golden eyes pinned onto her form as they bore into her. But a lock of familiarity struck her senses. Tarkah frwned and looked to the she wolf, "W-who are you?" Tarkah barked as her scent wafted into her nasal cavities.
(WELCOME BACK IXY! sorry I m not in the posting moood lately)

The scent was unmistakable to Andre, who bore it himself. As the wind carried traces of pine, loam, and his fellow Koran Vargs to his nose, he caught a whiff of something that made his heart skip a beat. The red varg knew it instantly as the scent of Frecne. Although it was mingled with others, there was no debating on the subject. One of Andre's old packmates had crossed the borders into his land.
A long female howl rose over the trees and flew on the same wind that had carried the scent, and the Dragga's Auds stood on end. He began with a slow trot, which quickly changed into an all-out run as his heart raced. Dark pads abused the loamy earth as a graying red muzzle pointed in the direction of the call. Low foliage parted by pressure against the flanks of the passing varg.
Andre kept his eye keen, and turned his head to and fro as he ran, to get a full view of the surroundings with his lone orb. The low-growth began to thin as he neared the borders of Koran land, and grew closer to the plains which enveloped the west side of the territory. As the red varg broke through into a clearing he saw blurrily the shape of a large female varg. Heat shimmered and distorted the day as the sun, unblocked by clouds, baked down upon the lands. As Andre drew closer, the image became more clear. A lone gray Fem stood gazing into Koran as though in deep thought.
Andre's mind immediatly flashed back to try and recall the Fems who called themselves Frecne. There had been Cabby, and Demon. Vaguely, Andre remembered a female named Brownen who had been old when he had been just a pup. And there had been Saphira, the second daughter of Kanis. And of course his friend from long ago, Shatocwwn, who was now deceased, from what he had heard. And then there had been others he could not remember, But was sure they were not this one. Andre closed his eyes, and wrinkled his brow in thought.
Yes. There had been one more. A fem who was a sister to Shato. Another friend of mine long gone. She had called herself something short. The dragga opened his eye and bit his lower lip as his mind grumbled with thought. Ixy. Yes, this Fem that stands before me now is Ixy.
A long smile crept across his face as he barked to her, and heard a similar hail to his left. Andre's head turned as he saw Tarkah similarly greating the Fem. But it seemed that Tarkah did not know who she was. Andre's smile widened, and for once he actually felt happy. Memories of his past swept back to the forefront of his mind, and he padded slowly over to Tarkah to tell her who the intruder was.

[glow=blue,2,300]( much thanks Tarkah- o and you dont have to explain the non-posting mood, it happens to the best of us lol)
Lowering her ears, Ixys colbat eyes softened. She didn't want to intrude- Tarkah probably did not remember her but from a brief introduction during a certain storm all of frecne would have remembered. She did not want to cause any trouble so she dipped her muzzle out of respect. 'You probably don't recognize an old wolf like me- I was much younger when we first met. Don't be alarmed- I was a good friend of Mavericks..." Just saying his name made it surreal. Everyone she had known was gone...
When Andre's familiar face came bounding to join Tarkah it was almost shocking. So some of us are left she wondered. 'Andre? thank tor your still here!' she nearly yipped. She hadn't seen her friend in a while- she had heard about his leaving before shato passed. She hoped he was back to stay this time... she was[/glow]

//I could resist posting to this thread, especially when it stirs up memories. *cuddles with Ixy* You mentioned Shato like you're affected!!//
Even if it was not Amadahy’s duty to patrol the borders of Koran, she still found herself stalking rounds at it’s perimeters each evening. It soothed her to scent different lands that she was not restricted to, though didn’t belong to. Amadahy had returned to Koran with no proposals crossing her mind to leave it once more, but then again, she always felt a faint calling in her heart. Particularly on the eve of Ixy’s return, the calling to roam the lands as a Kerl was quite zealous. At the time Amadahy had still been pacing the boundaries with a dreamy twinkle upon her olive spheres. Sign of ruminations creased her brow when an unfamiliar scent struck her nares. It had the musk of a pack that Amadahy couldn’t name, even if it was vaguely familiar…
Amadahy crept into the thicket to peer at the stranger, knowing it wasn’t her place to welcome a stranger that asked blessings to enter. She quietly awaited for her parents’ arrival, but decided to hang back from making her own appearance. Auds flicking upright, the sikla prayed to snare the words of greeting as soon as both Tarkah and Andre entered the vicinity, coincidentally almost at the same moment. It was clear that this stranger was acquainted with her mother, even if the ivory Drappa didn’t recall. The speculation that the tall grey femora was making the story up didn’t even cross Amadahy’s thoughts, for the foreign varg was confident and gave off too good of an aura as far as Amadahy could tell. Besides, her father was grinning, which meant he probably knew her as well. Little did the omega know that the scarlet dragga had once carried the same aroma as Ixy. Just as many other alphas once carried the musk of Ge-rad as this mysterious pack.
Hesitantly, Amadahy stepped out from the underbrush. “Err, hello. Sorry if I’m interrupting, Mama,” she squeaked in a cautious whisper and using a cub-like dubbance for Tarkah. She was still trying to win the fae’s approval back, but she didn’t know she was always sucking up in such an annoyingly childish manner. “What is your name?” Amadahy inquired as she turned to the stranger with a faint wag of her tail. Maybe she’s be the next one to take her away from this place for a while…

[Glow=blue,2,300]Ixy could tell Tarkah didn't quite remember her. She was going to try and explain- but a small she wolf made a sudden and unexpected appearance. The latter looked form Andre to Tarkah, and then the miniature. 'My name?' she inquired, rather distilled. This cub seemed to give off a glow, the same glow Ixy herself used to have- timid but willful. 'Ixy- what is yours?' [/glow]

Tarkah blinked at the silver she woolf before her when a rustle caught her attention. Tarkah turned her gaze to see a red varg padding into the clearing. Tarkah gave a gruff growl and turned her head away from him and back towars the foreign fae. Tarkah glared as Andre came closer but still the alpha did not move and her ear closest to him twitched as she heard the words he told her.
Tarkah swung her gaze towards the femor though a large smile was on her lips and her tail had begun to swish to and fro. "Ixy!" Tarkah yipped. She had remembered Ixy as a good friend. But the talk of Maverick made Tarkah dip her muzzle, "I'm afraid Ixy, I do not know where my brother has gone" she sighed, "Niether Keechak nor Maverick is here in this valley, and I fear the worst..."
Tarkah looked up again with a smile though, "But it is good to know that at least one friendly face has returned amongst these lands" she said as a rustle and soft steps were heard. Tarkah turned her gaze to see her precious Amadahy pad in. A warm smile broadened on her ebon lips as her young daughter padded upto her. Tarkah whined warmly and licked her pup affectionatly on her muzzle, "Don't worry you are not intruding." Tarkah spoekwith a wag of her tail.
Tarkah looked up as Ixy reunited with her old friend Andre. Tarkah could not help but smile. Though she was clearly angered and frustrated by her mate Tarkah still loved him dearly.
She barked and nuzzled Ixy gently on her muzzle, "What brings you here in Koran?" Tarkah questioned. She had not seen Ixy for the longest while. She knew that Ixy was or had been a List varg. but why was she here now?
(Sorry! sucky ucky post)

[glow=blue,2,300]Sitting on her haunches, the older of the wolves looked sympathetically at the snow pelted one known as Tarkah. 'i do hope you won't age as quickly as me dear' Ixy said with a sigh. It seemed that with each day she grew more tired and with each night more weary. 'This old wolf is just in need of a good rest is all.' she lied.

Post by Phantom on Jul 14, 2005 14:45:15 GMT -5
Phantom had been patrolling the Koran territories when she heard a call for Tratto's Blessing. It was answered by Tarkah a few minutes later. She began walking slowly toward the little congregation of vargs. Her yellow eyes were clouded over, and her steps where slow and heavy.
She was exhausted. Phantom hadn't gotten much sleep these past few moons. She had spent the time patrolling the borders, and making sure that Kadin was allright. Her beloved had finally returned, nearly dead. Sleep was a thing of the past for Phantom, for she had spent the night's laying by his side, awake and keeping a silent vigil.
Phantom raised her head, and tried not to look tired as she approached the Koran vargs and the newcomer. "Hello Tarkah, Andre," she said quietly, nodded her head in greeting and respect. Then she looked at the newcomer, a silver drappa. Phantom didn't remember, but she had met this wolf once, a long time ago.
"Hello there," she whispered, stifling a yawn. "Who might you be?"
Sorry this post sucks. I'm really tired...

[glow=blue,2,300]"Phantom?" traces of the fae's scent had entered the clearing as Ix turned her temple towards yet another newcomer. "Phantom? Is it really you?" Then a sinking realization took place inside her. This wolf she was speaking to would not yet recognize her. "Do you remember Ixy?" she asked with high hopes. "You, Snowwolf, and I used to spend days down at the river and in the meadow..long ago?" Please let her remember... [/glow]

Phantom shook her head gently, trying to rid herself of the fatigue she was feeling. In her tired mind, blurry images flashed before her. Scenes of long summer days, spent with Snowy, and silvery wolf. Happier times. Her tired eyes opened suddenly. She remembered
"Ix?" She smiled, her tail wagging. So yet another lost friend had returned. It feelings that surged through Phantom's system were indescribable. The past year had brought nothing but pain for Phantom. Now, suddenly, things were looking up.
"Yeah Ixy, it's me," she said quietly, still smiling weakly. She sat down on the dusty ground heavily. "It's been so long, too long! How are you?"
Gah. Short post...BEWARE! *runs off*

Tarkah smiled and padded forth and nuzzled Ixy's muzzle tenderly. It had been quite a long while since she had last seen or heard from the drappa Ixy. Tarkah stepped back, her ears flickered as she turned abruptly on her heels to where she had heard the rustles from the nearby vegetation. Tarkah's hackles rose in defense as she waited for something to appear.
She then sighed, a smile brimming her ebon lips as she saw who it was. "Phantom" she said in a warm tone. She then turned her gaze back onto Ixy. She looked tired and worn out from her travels. Tarkah let out a whine, "You of course need rest!" Tarkah said fussing over her. "You may stay in Koran." Tarkah said with a wide smile, liking the idea she had just cast. "For however Long you want, you are welcome over our borders" Tarkah said as she sat down and let the two reacquainting themselves.
Tarkah closed her eyes and let the summer breeze flow over her. As she saw the large smiles of joy on both Phantom and Ixy's maws Tarkah couldn't help but be happy as well.
(icky post... I'm having a major writers block)

[glow=blue,2,300][August was busy, busy, busy!! my apologies!! Now that school is back I am tied down to home and the computer.. <3] 'Thank you Tarkah...' The breeze was refreshing to her beaten and broken frame. "I don't want to intrude for lo-" but she stopped mid-sentence. This would be her last visit to friends before her passing- she was almost sure. "Just one last visit to see all my friends" she picked up, easing onto all fours. "Tarkah... I have never seen all of Koran... would you mind a tour?" Her eyes were asking for so much more but her hesitant words only strayed so far. I need to know...she begged silently. I need to know how many of us are still left... [/glow]
