Typed this up in the middle of English Class, when I was suposed to be doing part of my Junior Paper. Meh. Well, kinda self explanitory, 'cept I refer myself as Shunké, not the poor mad one I play.
Oh, and not highly detailed. I could have done better. I just like the meaning, that's all.
The blistering winter wind struck the black fae’s face, as she desperately tried to cling onto life. Her unusual mismatched eyes gazed into the darkness, of what she saw as death. Such a life, such a horrid life the fae could never live down. The world grew colder, but the fae didn’t know how much longer she could hold on. As her knees went limp, she fell upon the soft cushion of snow, not a single tear fell from her cheek. Her eyes, they burned, but she would not let weakness overcome her, she would make sure no tear fell from her cheek. That would be the last thing the fae, Shunké, wanted.
As the cold winds kissed her short black fur, Shunké felt death hover around her. ‘is this going to be how it really ends?’ she thought, as her eyelids grew heavy. Her body seemed to go into fits, as it began to shake from the cold. ‘I thought it would be different.’
With a final twitch of her body, the fae’s body released the soul within. It was set free from the body to whom it was imprisoned, and only gained sadness. Her eyes had finally closed, only now Tor (Moon Godess) would really know if she was at peace.
Shunké opened her eyes, to a bright light. She was no longer cold, but she wasn’t warm either. It was bright, and white seemed to go on endlessly. Slowly, the fae rose to her paws, as she looked around. “What’s wrong, child?” a voice said.
“I’m sad,” Shunké answered.
“Why are you sad, child? You’re finally free?”
“But with what to look forward too?”
“A new life, perhaps.”
“But - I want to finish my old life. It wasn’t complete”
“Oh? And why do you think that?”
“Because- I was alone. I don’t want to die alone.”
For a moment, the world was silent. Shunké dipped her head, in assumption of had said something wrong. “I only want- the find my “Knight in Shining Armor”- my “Silver Wolf”.” Still, the voice did not speak until moments afterward.
“If that’s what you really want, my child.”
In Shunké’s eyes, the world became black again.
And once again, she found the strength to reopen her eyes, to the cold world. She whined in exhaustion of her physical body, but somehow found it in her to get up on her paws. Lifting her black head, the black fae let out a call of thanks to Tor. Her journey was not over, she was still in search of her “Silver Wolf”; the one who would find her.
