Stargazer's Wish
The sun was high, the bird song was loud, the mountain was shrouded in mist. The sun was setting, the birds were fleeing from the night to the comfort of their nests, they feared the creatures which may make them their pray for the nights hunting. The sun was dying, bleeding its colours into the sky, the moon arose on the other side, taking its place. The shrill calls of the fox broke the silence as it hunted for its meal. The rustling of the bushes as it crept through the darkness. White tipped tail swishing as it stalked the air itself. The night seemed to buzz wih life, just like the day. The fabeled Moon Goddes called Misorat was supposed to be stalking the earth this night. The animals buzzed with exitement as it was the first time in centuries this had happened. Miosrat was well known as the great orb godess, or the moon and moonlight godess. A wolf form she took these night she roamed the earth, searching, just searching. The form of a gray wolf, a greuy wolf with darker grey markings upon her pelt. All animals loved her, for bringing light to the night, letting them see when the hunt another.
The night crept on, seeming longer than a usual night that one had never experienced before. Some feared this night, thinging that Misorat would bring death and misery to their world of peace. But Misorat meant no harm, no harm to any. Maybe this was just a legend, or was it true? Nobody, or no thing knew of this. No creature exept the Stargazer had seen Misorat, and the Stargazer was a shy and never showed itself, only to the bird and herbivore animals, not to the wolf nor fox. The Stargazer was silver in hue, golden eyes glitter under the long silver strands which covered its neck and forehead. Long powerful legs and back. Yes this creature was of fantasy, but the leaf eaters had seen her, been with her and heard her stories of the gods and godesses. Some went every night to find comfort in her protected clearing, sometimes them hunters would try and attack the defenceless animals when she was not there. But tonight.... she was.
She lay in the middle of the clearing, her legs tucked near her body for warmth in the cool crisp night on which history would be made. The animals gathered as the story tellng was to begin, and she had a good story to tell. The empty moon ung in the middle of the sky, hanging alone, the Stargazer could tell that Misorat ha left to roam th earth to search for something. The animals came, rabbits, squirrels, birds. A doe with her fawn came along this night, the doe had been a past visitor, and had learned that the Stargazer was a good toryteller, and her stories were true. The all gathered around her, waiting for the story to begin. An image was produced, it floated in the air and everybody gasped. It twas of the land about them, and the Stargazer in the middle, waiting, but the stories wern't going to happen that night.
The night was cold, the air crisp and cool. the Stargazer lay alone, her golden eyes closed as she waited, and waited. For what? She didn't know herself. The moon was empty above her, its gloom was surrounded by mist, making it more eery than ever. The mist surrounded the forestry about her, all exept from the clearing where she lay. The grass was thick with dew already, and the morn had not yet come. Twas midnight, and all was still, the exeption of the shriek from an animal in pain or from that of a fox. The Stargazers eyes opened, slowly, to see the form of a grey wolf next to her, black markings upon its hue, moon like eyes glittered as it bowed before the Stargazer, whm admired it every night. She had waited so long to meet the one whom was so fond of the stars and herself. Twas Misorat, the first ever to encounter this strange and wonderful godess of the moon and moonlight. Calmly, the godess greeted the Stargazer by bowing, the stargazer lowered her head. This was a magical moment, the whole clearing lit up, the whole forest nearly lit up. The wolven lifted her muzzle and howled to the moon, singing her song and the colourless fog turned a mystical purple, The stargazer was of no colour at this moment, pearly white was her hue. But now, the godess had brought the colour silver to her hue, now the Stargazer was truly like the stars she admired and wished to know more about. The godess growled a soft thankyou and leaped into the air, two large grey wings carried her back to her home in the moon. The Stargazer watched, happy that se had experienced the one thing nobody else had seen.

The vision faded away, it took most of the night to show to the animals, they were all amazed by this, they had seen that the Stargazer had really seen the moon godess Misorat, and they all beleived it. They never dissaproved of her showings in the moonlight. It shone directly on the group, they were all amzaed, they stared at the orb like glow and smiled, conent, they would sleep in safety for the rest of the night, until dawn came. Bringing the sun to take Misorat's place in the sky. But until then, the Stargazer would leave the animals in the clearing, to be safe. Whilst she returned to the mountain top to sleep peacefully, conent in knowing that she had proved to te animals that the godess really did exist. Before returning to her cave of diamonds, the Stargazer would take to the edge of a rock platform and look out at the forest below, with slight mist covering the trees, the moonlight was shone on her and she reared. This Stargazer was special, yes, she was the Unicorn Stargazer, the only on of her kind. Her silver horn glowed as the moonlight fed its power. The Stargazer let out her song into the forest, all stopped to hear, all stopped to look. But none saw. She had returned to her diamond cave to await the next night, and the next story........
