*Farrah can't think of a way to compensate her immense steadily growing jealousy, so she decides to chase her tail instead* I'm so jealous! Actually, I live in SC (in case there are some people around who don't know where most of the redneck population lives, it's South Carolina!) so we really don't have alot of wolves; just foxes...and squirrels...and raccoons...anyhowl... What are the other pups' names...besides Amaroq? And how in the world did your Aunt and Uncle get a license to keep the wolves captive and sell them? I would like to know because my cousin and I plan to one day move to Nevada and breed wild wolves and mustangs (at a distance, somewhat...kinda like a reserve so there are no opposing forces) to be released into the wild. She is obsessed with horses and I with wolves (and large cats, but I don't know how soon the government will let that happen!!) so we just figured (again, it's my redneck heritage come back to haunt me!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!) that we could buy a huge mansion somewhere practically unpopulated (hopefully in the U.S. but I do have relatives in Transylvania [one of my incentives for reading the Sight in the first place and eventually coming to the Sight's site] and it's not very populated and [as you know] houses wolves of all kinds) area and have an awesome farm of exotic/endangered/threatened/fuzzy/cuddly/cute/weird/I think you get my drift animals and produce. But that's just us, I guess. [glow=purple,2,3,00]Ok first off, my aunt and uncle don't "Sell" the wolves, sorto speak. What they do is breed wolves and keep a very healthy very pure bloodline for ranges, reserves, zoos etc...Then, Yellowstone, or a zoo, or a wildlife reserve will trade money for the wolves of that season or a couple puppies, or an adult or two, sometimes half the pack. The money is just compensation for the time and effort it takes to raise the wolves in a semi wild atmosphere. So, my aunt and uncle aren't profiting from the money given to them, but the money that is given to them 'sponsors' if you will they're continued help in breeding more wolves, and raising more packs for these zoos, ranges, reserves etc... So, technically, they're not selling the wolves. My aunt and uncle are adament about never selling a wolf puppy to a family as a pet. My aunt has turned down so many offers, it's rediculous. She turned down an offer of 2k for a pair of wolf puppies that were going to go to a family of three children, two dogs, and a cat, and she said no, because wolves are not like dogs, they're wild animals, and though some of the wolves in her pack live indoors, it's only temporary until they are finally released into the wild, or out into their own pack's pasture to gain pack dinamics. The only wolves at the moment that are in the house, is Sequoia and her puppies, and mah cuddle buddy two's 2 years old, Bristol. and he sleeps on mah bed and everythin Decifer that how you wish. Ok, now secondly, the names of the puppies are as follows. Girl 1: (She was the first one out of the shoot lol) Is Amaroq, cause she was born on Amaroq's birthday I believe that's why I named her after the wolf here. Boy 2: (second one out) Dizz (it's short for disaster....-.-' he's caused, alone, about 200$ damage to my aunt and uncle's house by breaking things like, dishes, vases, a leg...-.-' My uncle tripped on him and fell down the stairs and sprained his ankle XD) Girl 3: (Third one out!) Sushi (my aunt was having sushi one night and the phone rang, and she got up to go and get the phone and this little girl jumped up onto the couch and ate all the sushi on my aunt's plate....-.-' It was kinda funny when my aunt came back and saw her sushi dinner gone, and the girl on the couch trying to lick off a peice of seaweed that was stuck on the top of her nose.) Girl 4: (Last living one out of the pen!) Layolah (My uncle was listening to a soundtrack called "Wolves" and one of the tribal songs was called Layolah or something like that, and the little girl was snuggled up asleep on his foot and every time he moved to slip her off, she growled in her sleep and clung on with her little paws....it was so cute. So yah. That's their names, and the reason's why. Enjoy guys and gals! ~*Fiory*~[/glow]

[glow=purple,2,3,00]I figured I should report, that we've lost one.....Layolah, my darling little sweetheart puppy.....got sick and died.......so now we're down to three pups left........ *sniffles and cries* At least she's in heaven now I suppose..... Amaroq is doing well still, we think that she's going to be the alpha of the three, Layolah had been the omega, the shy, gentle weaker of them, Dizz is definatly trying to rival his sister, and Sushi's kinda just letting them duke it out, eating popcorn on the sidelines......Sequoia's soo stressed out, she almost didn't feed the pups yesterday, and she also almost killed Dizz when picking him up because she picked him up to hard, and then dropped him by accident down the stairs because he yelped....So, now she's not allowed to see her puppies anymore, which is really sad, cause she's such a great mom and we feel so bad for her that she's so greivious and stressed out....But I think she'll do better with the rest of the pack, getting back into the swing of pack living...Toby absoulutly misses her, and it's good that she's going back for longer hours now because Millie was beginning to show signs of stepping up the ladder of command.....Anyhow, I just thought I'd update ya'll..... OH! I forgot! Good news peoples! After all that bad news, three new adolescents are coming into the breeding program, two girls and a boy, around the age of Bristol (my bedtime cuddle bug lol) and my aunt, uncle and I are thinking of introducing them to Bristol, and having two packs going instead of just one.....Not sure how Toby'll agree to that, cause he and Bristol are best buds in the pack, but we'll see. I'll have pictures and names up later...I might need Sudak to post them again, cause I'm dumb and blonde and I don't know how. :-P Lol Take Care everyone. ~*Fiory*~[/glow]

HAHA, I'll be here when you need me Fiory. Two packs would be interesting. But hey it would be kind of Ironic having Bristol run a pack, you should name the alpha female Fiory then we'd have the List pack in real life

[glow=purple,2,3,00]Hmm I've actually never counted XD I know we've got a few, lemme see..We've got... Toby-Alpha Male Sequoia-Alpha Female Millie-The Wallet-stealing brat :-P Bristol-My Cuddle Buddy! Moab-New Adolescent Male we just got, Bandit-New Adolescent Female we just got.. Yuka-" " Allegra-She sneezes like, all the time...x.x' I think she's allergic to me or something, it's kinda entertaining.. Amaroq-One of 3 pups. Disaster (Dizz)-Male of the three pups Sushi- *bows* :-P Da Sushi mistwess..who ha. :-P jk And that's 11 right there....though we're planning on getting two more. (ish gonna die..cause they're puppies! ) So yah, it'll be 13. I actually have more pictures of them now, (not of the new arrivals on their way, but of everybody else and some school shots) and yah, they'll be below here with little excerts and junk. Enjoy! i28.photobucket.com/albums/c205/FioryTrinity/Wolf%20Pictures/41379def.jpg[/img] This is Bristol, Toby and Sequoia in the back..Just..chillin I guess..*shrugs* Millie and Sequoia dukin' it out... Here's Moab at school with the kiddies...he's such a ham...-.-' This is Millie and mah bad boy Disaster (Dizz) Now, I think Bristol let one go, and Moab caught on or something, and Bristol's just denying it in this picture..Still, it was a funny look Moab was giving for like, five minutes. :-P Ok, now this is Moab in the gym before the assembly this morning...x.x' He found one of the volleyballs and started kicking it around and his buddy Dundee (my aunts border collie) who had just gotten spayed (as you can tell by the picture and her shaveded bellyness) began running around trying to get the ball with Moab. It was quite entertaining, and this was the better of the 3 pictures I got of them. :-P My puppies are funny little things. I hope you guys enjoyed the pictures, more updates as soon as I can. [glow=purple,2,3,00]Lol Silent, I'm glad you like the pictures, but sorry I'll have to say I'd keep the wolves over the horse... Thanks for the repeated offers though hun. lol Well, I hope you guys are in for a treat cause I sure was yesterday afternoon when I got a call that our 2 pups had arrived early (We weren't expecting them to be shipped to us until after the new year) so yes! I kinda went home a little early yesterday and when it was still sunny out I took these photos for ya. Plus! I found a picture of me in there too. XD Sorry to blind you all with my uglyness, but yah... So! Here are the pictures! (Sushi's in here too cause she came over with Dallas and Tex, the new puppies. They are like, 4 days younger then Sushi, Amaroq and Dizz) Sushi! It's Tex! She's the mellow one of the two...she's such a doll. This is Dallas, another boy for our group. He's a funny little bugger I tell ya.. And that would be Dallas terrorizing Tex..-.-' Sushi...watching TV...XD And what else would she be watching? Pff of course...She's watching, Animal Planet...XD This is Dallas, trying to eat Tex's head....-.-' Told you he was a funny little bugger... Dallas is on the left, Tex is on the right. Dallas is male, Tex is female. No relation to each other. Here my aunt is trying to take a few pictures and Dallas won't stop pestering Tex long enough...*sigh* Ok, so this is Sequoia, Toby, Me and Allegra in the back. Why is her name Allegra? Well cause everytime I'm around, she sneezes...If I walk by, she sneezes..She could be dead asleep...if I so much as got anywhere near her, she'd wake up, sneeze, and then go back to sleep...XD So yah, her name, is Allegra. :-P teehehehe[/glow]

OH MY FGOD! They are SOOOOO Sweet. Are you sure you don't wanna swap? Ill swap Dippy Gyppy for Tex if ya want Just joking, I luv my pupsters! But I soooo want a wolfy. They are soooooo cute! I wish I wish upon a star that Fiory would be so kind and send a wolfy to England! Supposedly wolves are coming back to Scotland, I can't wait! You must be the luckiest girl ever to have an Aunt and Uncle that has a lovbe of wolves and breeds them! I wish that my mum would let me have one! But she says "We already have a little wolfy which howls at night when he needs the toilet!" Reffering the my colliedog yp who sings when he feels like it! They are all soooo cute!

[glow=purple,2,3,00]Hmmm England huh? *will have to check....<---could be possibly sending wolves that way next once the parks around are full and all*I'm not sure but I'll have to ask my aunt and uncle if our wolves are going international or if they're staying strictly in the US... And I consider myself incredibly lucky. I mean, who else can say that they raise and release wolves with their aunt and uncle every weekend (or so )..Not many I tell ya....Though it's sad, cause we don't actually own these wolves, we're just kindof, housing them....Eventually the pups will probably be taken to refuges and zoos to continue the species so we can keep a strong bloodline going... And just in case anyone was wondering, Dallas and Tex, were shipped from Houston, Texas...hence, they're names...If we had been given the chance, I would have named them off of people from the site here, but yah, we didn't get that option...[/glow]
