If you choose neither I'll get you...I mean *cough cough*...welcome to the annual and expected cat versus dog debate! I'm your host, Farrah! Yay me!
I voted cat because, though I love my big fat lab, he's slobbery and asks stupid CONSTANTLY! My cats seem to perceive my feelings, and are quick to comfort me when something's wrong. Dearest doggy, however, deems fit to drool on me.
Well, there's my input. Please vote, 'cause the real reason I did this was 'cause there hadn't been an active debate in AGES!!!

I like dogs, but since i dont own any pets, and i never did, since the two fish i got from a fair died during the ice storm. So yeah il vote neither, JUST for you Farrah.
and for the sake of arguing. Cats are the most overrated thing a person can own

I vote cats. I used to have a wonderful dog, who would drool, and cuddle with me whenever I'd go out to see him. Then he died and now I have a little rat dog that doesn't listen even when I'm speaking normally to her. I call her, she turns around- that brat.
So, then there's my six feline campanions. The ones who I trust and who I actually tell all my secrets to. They also know when I am feeling ragged and down, and seem to know that a session of purring in my ear and making me pet them makes me feel a whole lot better. My little fluffy pillows all get my vote <some of my cats are very furry>.

Just for me? Why thank you, Ziev! . . . . . . Wait a second!!!!!!!!! *readies frying pan...just for Ziev* I can't believe you called my darlings overrated!!! *sad face* That cut me deep, Ziev. That cut me deep. . . . . . . 6 feline companions! Whoa buddy! Wish I had that many...all of my kitties have either run away or died over the years except for two. I had Iggy, but dad made us declaw him 'cause he scratched up the car, and when the wild dogs came after him, he couldn't climb to save his life. Then, there was Tommi Cat...we didn't know her gender until we'd had her for 4 weeks since their gender really doesn't 'show up' till they're 8 weeks old...we found her in someone's car engine...she went missing from my old house and never came back. Friday (or Friday the Thirteenth) got hit by a car, lived, got hit by a car again, lived, and then decided that he didn't like our street since he got hit twice, so he moved to some old peoples' house down the street...he's fat now...I had plenty more cats in between, but those were just the ones I am typing about to bore you to death. Now I just have my Phish Phish and my Figaro. About the rat dog, I've never really liked small dogs. You should try a big dog...they're more affectionate and can SOMETIMES ON THE RARE OCCASION be better than most cats. Just a hint.
