A torrent of sleety rain poured out from the dark, looming clouds. The shadows of the mountains just to the south of the wide river fell down onto the sodden ground. The sun fought to stay in view, but the clouds threatened to block it out. Raindrops splashed into the fast flowing river, it's current now deadly to those who should fall prey to it. The hammering of rain on leaves made a good rhythm.
Laying miserably under the relative dryness of a tall, sturdy alder tree was a young faemme, her pale grey pelt glimmering hauntingly with tiny droplets of water. She had managed to escape the worst of the rain, but had to sacrifice a meal for it. The thought of the Herla herd nearby made her maw water and her stomach rumble. Her wiry legs were dirty with the mud which had occurred when she had run to shelter from the torrential downpour. Her head lay sullenly onto her muddied paws, and her banner barely wagged.
A whisper of wind crept towards her, and she growled in annoyance. The wind made her colder, but luckily the rain was starting to cease. Stretching her long legs, she yawned widely and revealed sharp and dangerous looking teeth, which gleamed mockingly. Snowflame sighed and raised her red tinged banner slightly as she padded out into the warmth of the Sun God Fenris. She trotted over to the river and careful lapped up some water, being careful not to fall in. She stretched again, and wandered along the river bank, her thoughts wandering.
She was one of the Vargs who believed in Tor and Fenris, and the Evil God Wolfbane. Snowflame scented a broken twig, and picked it up in her maw. She shook her head wildly and yapped excitedly when it fell out and landed into the river, where it bobbed up and down before swooshing downstream. She barked happily, and continued to follow the river. Snowflame had also heard about some Vargs believing in a God called Zostar, though she had only heard that as a rumour. She growled nervously as she heard a noise behind her, but when she turned she realised with relief that it was only a starling.

A cloud of rain just had passed the night before, Fernis broke through the clouds signaling morning. Talar, a kerl had found shelter in a nearby cave to sleep in for the night. She stayed dry but everything around her was soaked. Around her water droplets lightly dropped off of small leaves.
She had never been in a pack before, as a kerl she still was a young pup at the same time. She believed in Tor and Fernis when she was much a young pup, but now, her life being so miserable and alone. She felt a doubt of Tor and Fernis in her heart. Sometimes she wondered if they could even be real. Slowly she drifted toward wolfbane.
Her stomach growled hungrily, for food has been scares the past season, and it felt as if Tor was punishing her for being so pesky all of the time. The rain washed away all of the scent of anything left in the world around her, so Talar felt virtually alone. Like she had been for almost eternity it seemed.
Talar set off on her way into the forest once again, at least she could quench her thirst. But on the way she found fresh Varg prints in the mud from the past rainfall. Talar tilted her head and examined it, a female Varg? Being shy Talar just left the tracks alone and set off in her own direction to the river. Sitting at a little opening, Talar lapped up water from a stream when she heard a playful bark coming from across the river. She looked up to see a young Varg looking back at her. There eyes met, and Talar did not recognize this Varg, and her tail rose.

A deep curiousity for this newcomer arose in the pale grey fae, but it was followed closely by caution. Snowflame stared unblinking into the eyes of the other fae, and at once she had to suppress a giggle. The Sun God Fenris shone his rays of warming light onto the earth below, and making the ground sparkle with the droplets of water that remained from the torrential downpour.
With surprise, the cub found herself trotting over to the fae, and she gave a yap of delight when she came right next to her. Snowflame scented the cub, and gave her a lick on the cheek, and then curled up on the muddy ground and rolled about, getting plastered in brown, gooey mud. A sense of peace came to the fae, and she growled happily, " My name's Snowflame, what's your name?"
She rose to her paws and took another drink from the river, mud dripping off of her. A gentle breeze started to dry out the mud, and in some places it had already dried and cracked. But Snowflame didn't mind, not when there was somebody to play with.

The wolf giggled as Fernis started to glow hotter in the middle of the day. The cub trotted over to her and Talar scented her, "I am Talar, some call me Tar! Its nice to meet you!" Talar yipped happily. The cub rolled in the mud happily, it dripped all over the Fae, Talar laughed at the sight. Fernis beat hot on the day after the rain pour. The river was filled with life as was the forest around them.
"Where are you from?" Talar said standing at the edge of the water inspecting it for fish or frogs. "I like to hunt." Talar scrunched up her nose. Then suddenly she saw a small little Sonnie swimming up-stream in the river. Then Talar with an exciting bark jumped strait into the water making both mud and water splash everywhere over the land, including the Cub she just met, snowflame.
Talar dived under the water trying to get at the fish, but like every time she ended up not catching it. Talar didn't care, she just liked to scare it. Upstream she chased it barking happily. "C'mon Snowflame!" Talar yipped happily. Talar was soaking wet and shook and water sprayed everywhere.

Snowflame let out a torrent of laughter when she got soaked by Talar. She giggled and watched the fae try to catch some fish. A glint of happiness sparkled in her orbs, and her pale grey, muddied pelt begged to be wet. Snowflame ran on the river bank alongside the swimming fae, her tongue flopping out of her maw comically.
" My family was originally just North of the mountains, but technically i'm from the land beyond the forest," yapped Snowflame in delight, and threw herself into the river, sending it flying everywhere. She shook her fur and licked Talar's face, and growled happily, " Tar, where are you from?" the cub giggled and splashed about in the river, glad of the company. Already she was starting to like Talar, and hoped they would become firm friends.

Talar laughed as Snowflame jumped in after her. They chased each other up the river. Talar learned that the Fae she met was from beyond the forest. Talar thought that was cool, because infarct she was not from Transylvania at all either. Fernis burned in the sky happily over the two pups.
"I am from the land even further than beyond the forest. I am from the far north, culture is different there, humans even speak different and the varg run free across flat land, there are barley any mountains, they call themselves Ukraine." Talar giggled and nipped the Fae's ear playfully, "I bet I can beat you up the river!" Talar barked while springing up from the water and racing with her new friend snowflame.
Once Talar got nearly to the top she went onto her back and let the soft river flow her down the current, "I used to do this all the time! Try it Snowflame!" Talar giggled with her new friend.

Snowflame grinned widely, her pale pelt glistening, and said, " It sounds awesome there, Talar!" she grinned again, her happiness bubbling over everywhere. The fae followed her new friend up the river, her tongue flopping out of her mouth, and grinned in excitement as she watched Talar float down the river.
" That looks like fun!" she copied what Talar had done and giggled out loud as she floated down the river, her spirits high. Her eyes closed as she relaxed, the current taking her down the river. Suddenly, her head went back too far and water went into her nostrils, causing her to gag and splutter. She leapt out of the water and started to sneeze, water particles flying everywhere. Finally, she stopped spluttering and grinned wide.

Talar thought about the comment, back home, with ma, and pa, my siblings and the nurse. Traveling out my first time with my own parents, seeing tall wood stacked uopn another, glowing air filled inside of it. Then my first time, ever seeing thoughs creatures. Tall, long, no tail and they towered on their back hinds. Most unusual I thought it was, I have never seen a creature like that. Ma... what are thoughs. The young cub asked. Only creatures that you do not want to get in the way of my dear. Her mother replied."Well," talar started to say, " I think its more exiting in Transylvania here. Its lots differnt." Then Talar laughed and giggle as Snowflame falloed her, "Oops," Talar said as her friend got water up her nose. "You okay?" She giggled getting back on land to warm and shake out her soaked, wet fur. Fernis grew much hotter in the day, but water was still nice and refreashing in the summer. A gust of wind picked up and pused sand from the banks into Talars face. She sneezed and giggled washing it off in the river once more. Ma muse ist gone :(
