Romania, where the Carpathian mountains scorched the sky. A lone wolf could be spotted from the base of it, running and feeling the wind of her fur. Her name was Talar, a sleek wolf pup. She looked as if she were running from somthing. Scratches and scars covered her muzzle as she escaped to the hills.
Scenting an old trail of another wolf, Talar headed in the opposite direction. She was scared, and her stomach tightened. She had been running for constant days on end with out food or rest. She once again sniffed the breeze, it felt as something close was watching her. Talar looked up above to see an eagle fly over her. Talar snorted and walked on. Only a while ago did a human village invade her packs' land seeking revengance for taking a few of their sheep. They had chased out the pack, maybe killing some of her family too, but at this point Talar was too tired and confused to know if any of her pack was still alive. She slumped down on the ground next to a willow tree and dosed off without thought. Not even hearing the footsteps coming up to her.

Fellack feasted on an old corpse of a sheep. It wasn't very satisfying, but it was food nonetheless. Fellack had been wandering Romania for several days now, he was lost, hungry, cold, and a Kerl. He had always dreamt of living the life of a Kerl, but now that he was he looked upon it as a curse. Fellack bounded up a steep hill, a black wolf against green grass, a pup around the age of just 9 months. And he climbed and climbed, looking for a place to settle, he spotted a young Varg sleeping next to a willow tree, and a human at her side. Seeing the weapon in the human's hands, Fellack issued a threatening growl that would alert both the human and the varg. It was the only chance the Varg might have.

Talar dreamed of many things, but it all came to an end with a strict growl that made her wake in just a moment. Then Above her she saw a large pitch fork coming at her, without hesitation Talar quickly sprang out of the way as it just missed her tail by a sliver. Shocked and startled she let out a low deep growl which made the young human hesitate to go any further. The human boy, startled by the two approaching wolves took a few steps back. Talar tilted her head to the side, but not taking her eyes off of the human in front of her. "My Tor!.., That was close, and I thank you for what you did." Talar remembered this scent from the human, the same from the village of her dead pack not to far away. Fernis rose to the skies brightening up the morning air signaling daylight. "There might be more coming, I hope not but....Its not like them to hunt alone. By the way, I am Talar."

Fellack took a step closer. Tarlar, the young fae that stood before him, seemed friendly. Not the hostile type. So, Fellack opened up a little. "Well met, Tarlar. They call me Fellack, and I have wandered here throughout my travels. I saw the man approach, and I took a risk to warn you." Fellack hesitated a smile. "I guess it payed off." Fellack took a moment to think about the possibilities. Yes, he would do it. With a short I'll be right back growl, Fellack sprinted off towards the hill, tearing up the grass with his paws. A moment later Fellack returned with some of the sheep he had found. "Now that I've met you, I've recognized your scent on this sheep." he gently nudged it forwards with his scarred muzzle. "I believe this is yours?"

The young she-wolf smiled, It is a great pleasure to meet you Fellack, and thank you again, I guess I wasn't being too aware there was I? She spoke as Fernis was beating down on the land before them. Then the young mann growled lightly and sped off, saying he would be right back. Talar looked out to make sure no other humans were making their way here, but she doubted it. The mountain seemed to vast for such parties of humans. The Tarlar heard a rush through the grass and looked back to see Fellack come back with a large chunk of sheep in his jaws. He set it down and nudged it to her. Thank you, she smiled and gratefully took off a chunk of meat, It is very kind of you. Talar pushed over what was left of it over to Fellack, What happened to your old pack Kerl, if you dont mind me asking?

Fellack whimpered at the mention of his old pack. "No, I don't mind," he said, "My father was taken on the day of my birth 2 years ago, and very recently my family disappeared from our usual home. I'm trying to find them, but so far it's been unsuccessful, but the life of adventure proves to be quite fun." He turned his muzzle up to the sky. Fellack suddenly grew weak and collapsed within seconds. His body sunk down with a sudden snap, an arrow through his leg. He was unconscious, blood swelling over his body. Sure enough, behind Fellack was the human with the pitch fork, along with a group of 20 other men.

Talar stood in wonder, feeling very sorry for the young wolf.Days have passed as she remembered thoughs of her gone pack. Talar lightly wined as she heard the story. "Well I'm-----" she got cut of by the sudden jerk of an arrow fly pass them and into Fellacks leg. The snap of his leg filled the cold air. ,FELLACK!" she yelled seeing the arrow mounted in his leg. Then she look to see the humans and let out a deep growl.
Talar stood infront of Fellack, there wasn't much she could do, but she wouldn't let this happen to her again. The humans seemed to ruin her life one at a time. Where ever she was, they were too, she put eveyone in danger. Talar snarled frozen as the humans advanced, "Fellack, Fellack! If you can hear me, please get up and run! I will try to hold them off as long as I can! I'll meet back with you later." A dark-haired human came up shooting more arrows, Talar swiftly dodged them and came forward in the face on. She jumped up to the dark haired human and broke his arrow with her teeth, she pounced on him and toar out his troat, gashing blood everywhere. The humans were closing in on her, they were yelling and ranting at her sticking their sharp wepons at her. A few times shecould hold them off, but there were many, she got stabbed several times in the leg. Her last chance was to flee. The Vargs law to know when to fight or flee.
but she just broke another law, she killed a human being..... "For Tor's sake," she cussed under her breath breaking to the ground, this was it, she couldn't hold them off, there were even to many to escape and run.

As all hope seemed to be lost, the humans advanced to finish to Fellack what they had started. There was only one problem- Fellack was gone. Left in his place was a splintered arrow and a good amount of blood. But there was no trail of blood, he didn't walk away. He just... disappeared. That was the last thought of 4 humans, for in that second they were individually grounded to the earth by 3 other wolves who seemed to appear out of nowhere. The humans were pounced on, chests ripped open, and their throats slit, blood oozing down their leather clothing. And Fellack stood there, limping forwards. A wolf passed by behind him, offering a bidding of farewell. Fellack nodded to the strange wolf before it dissipated into the night. He had called for help. The remaining humans, incredulous of what they had just witnessed, took one final look at their slaughtered friends, and sprinted away, leaving behind their weapons. Fellack turned to Tarlar and smiled.

Talar gasped as she looked over to see Fellack gone. Maybe he was gone. Talar ripped her teeth at a human trying to create an opening. It worked and as blood spattered everywhere on the flied. Human blood mixed with the blood of varg in the dew of the grass. But before Talar was about to run of, if she had any strength left. The strangest thing she had ever seen happened.
Some of the humans rose from the ground, like something was holding them up. Talar stood there in awe, but at the same time in horror. Then at the same time the struggling humans had their necks slit and they were dead. Then they were dropped to the ground with blood soaking their clothing. Talar stood trembling in front of the dead humans as the others ran off.
"What j-just happened?" Talar said, her voice shaking., "Who was that!?" In front of her Fellack stood nodding to the mysterious stranger that had entered to save them. Talar smelt the scent of human blood rising to her nose. Fellack smiled at her. Talar sat down, the wound on her ached but she didn't seem to notice as they quickly healed away in seconds.
Then Talar took a deep breath and smiled back at the Mann standing in front of her,"Thank you, again, for saving my life." then she stared down at his injured leg, "But are you okay? I can help you, but first, we shall leave." Talar looked up at fernis in the sky, he was shallowing on the earth, " I can't take much more death...." Then Talar smiled lightly at him once more and took of in a light trot to the side of the mountain, Talar looked back at Fellack signaling him to fallow if he could.

Fellack turned around to face Tarlar now."It wasn't me who helped you. It was..." Fellack paused. Should he tell her? No, not yet. "My friend. He uhmm..." Fellack looked down at his blood-soaked paws. How could he say this? "Knows me?" Fellack turned and scented the ground. "Come. We've been here too long, we should go before more arrive. Just, stay clear from canyons and ravines." Fellack hesitated. "I have a bad experience with them." Without another word, Fellack began the long, enduring climb up to nowhere. He was on the move again. It felt good to have someone here though. He just.. didn't know if he could trust her. Would he betray his friends? Betray the ones he knew would betray him? Next time he saw that wolf, blood WOULD be shed.

Talar noticed something was strange with this varg, she thought as she ran swiftly beside the mountain next to him. He just didn't seem right, he was hiding something, "But what?" she accidentally said out loud. They way he stammered to tell her what that, that thing was. It felt in her gut something was to be found out sooner or later, but what was it about this wolf? Talar kept her distance not knowing even if she could trust him, Fallack, the wolf she knew for not even half a sun.
Fernis broke the sky into many of colors, as Tor came up in the other direction. The mountains looked eerie and dark as the sun passed behind them. Still the wolves ran together, not even knowing where they were going in the first place. Talar sniffed the air, and closed her eyes, "The sweet smell of goat, eh Fellack." Talar could scent almost anything hundreds of miles away, it was claimed she had a good nose, or maybe just something more, "Also, is your leg still hurting?"

"I..." Fellack stopped. He was so confused. No, he would trust her. He could trust her. "The wolves who I know took my parents. That was them." He glanced back over his shoulder and sighed. "I stupidly asked for their help, their protection. I promised to be loyal to them for my life. I'm a coward, and I'm sorry for all of this. But now... Fellack lifted his head into the air and sniffed the scent of sheep. "Once their gone, it can all be over. I don't want to make this about me- I want to help you. First time I saw you, not half a sun ago, I thought I could use you to help me. But now I realize that it is I who needs to help me." Fellack paused and mustered a smile. "But until we do happen to find them, they will not be our main priority. What we need to do is find someplace safe, away from the humans." Fellack continued walking in the direction of the hill. "Oh, and my leg is OK. Nothing serious. Are you alright?"

Talar gazed at Fellack and nodded understandingly,"Fellack, you are not a coward, remember that." Talar muttered looking down, "Don't be sorry, if you were a coward you wouldn't have helped me, both of the times I mistakingly got myself into some kind of stupidity-caused trouble". Then She listened car fully to Fellack, fallowing the scent of goat at the same time, "Fellack, you can't help me, my family is gone, I have nothing less to loose. Well perhaps this is just my act of penatance,...." Talar took a deep breath, "I have sinned. Fellack, I'm very sorry what has happened to you, I wish I could help but...." Talar looked far into the distance,"They are after me, but....not the humans I mean. There is a lot I haven't told you yet, what happened to my pack wasn't because of killing the sheep, Fellack, it was something more, now Tor her self is hunting me down."
Talar pointed with her muzzle to a safe place on the mountain too rough of terrain for any humans, "Go there, the humans can't get you. But I must leave you here, this is where I say goodbye."
She looked up to Fernis lowering in the sky, "Once the moon comes out, so will Tor, I am scared if you come with me, blood will be shed. This may sound really confusing, but please, go!"
Live your life as it is, bound to not anything at all....that is what my master taught me.."

Fellack whined. He whimpered a final goodbye, he wanted to help, but he didn't want to anger her- he must listen. He was confused- he thought he had the main problem, but as he listened to her story it became somewhat clear. He needed to help her. She just didn't need to know. And with that, Fellack slowly padded away. For the next sun he spent his time wandering around, looking for Tarlar. Since he had left, he could feel madness creep on him like a web. He began talking to himself, whimpering at random times, and wishing more than ever he could see another face. He sat in his prison-like cage, alone and afraid- afraid of death without friends. I will rot here he thought. He nibbled on his paw for an hour, and after a long time staring at the walls of the cave he slowly fell asleep.

Talar hated to say goodbye, even for who knows how long. As he gone, she watched Fellack trot of for a while then decided to go off before it was too late. This wouldn't be the last time she would see him though, Talar let out a signaling howl to let him know that too. And as the moon came up Talar headed down into the human village.
My past, she thought, none could ever understand. Then when she set off into the human village, she glared and waited till Tor reached her highest. Then that night, the moon turned Orange, the color like the time in fall, when the humans called it the Harvest moon. The only problem was, it was spring. She heard a little cry of a baby inside and Talar heart fell heavy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The next morning, Talar set off to find Fellack up into the mountain. It took her a while, her body was soar and covered with blood, though not her blood. You could barley see the grayness of her fur. Along her way Talar found a stream, cold water running off of the mountain. Though wolves hate to swim in the spring months where the water could bitterly kill you. She went in and came out as quick as she could to wash off the blood. She got out of the water and shook off the coldness.
She looked up to see Fernis, high in the sky. Then she remembered Tor last night, she would never forget the anger she saw as she looked into that heavy, orange haze. Talar took off once more to find a dark spot lying in the grass, it was morning though she silently walked up to him.
"Fell, wake up."
