Feeling relaxed and amused by the whole situation, Kacia lost interest in her meal and settled back on her haunches comfortably. With wide eyes she watched the new varg curiously, every once in a while glancing at Dane as he spoke. Everything about the day seemed to glow making the smile stain her maw in place of the herla meat. Feeling Fenris' heat on her pelt instead of the bitter cold accompanied by a full stomach and the two he-vargs left her feeling perfectly happily. It even occupied her mind so it did not wonder to her haunting past.
Suprising herself although probably unbeknowest to the others, she decided to not add what her name meant to Dane's introduction to the handsome varg. Observing Dane's behavior toward her as well as words by both she couldn't help but feel special at her treatment by Dane. With that thought dancing in her mind she spoke, ears perked happily and nose concentrating on the two male's smells.
"Perhaps it is luck then. We just happened to stumble on the same path. Curiosity made me follow the duel eyed sass-mouth. Oh, and pleasure to meet you."
Returning the introductory nod Kacia's words were spoken softly as if, if she were too loud the perfect day would be destroyed. She joined the light teasing as she glanced around the surrounding, letting her ears flutter for danger. Her bright eyes illuminated like rare gems in the sun, and for a moment she herself might have considered herself beautiful, a thought that rarely if ever crossed her mind. It didn't bother her, she was just an average varg in her eyes and it did not affect her goals in life but only nagged at her lonliness occasionlly. Kacia shook the negativity from her mind as she continued to smile, looking back brightly at both Dane and Dakota.
"You can have some of this herla if you want. There's plenty and I think we're both full... Dakota."
She seemed to add his name as an afterthought but her voice was delicate and gentle yet full of strength and wonder as she pronounced it. Glancing at the larger, lighter pelted , Dane she eyed him to see if he agreed. Afterall he was becoming her friend so she didn't want to step on his paws.

Revealing his white fangs, his lips curled into a smile once again. "Good to see you too, Dakota.." He really was happy to be reunited with his old friend, and was equally as happy to have found a new one- all in the same day no less. Dakota's charming disposition was cheery as usual, adding to the already bright afternoon.
Following Kacia's example, he too sat back on his haunches with his black-accented tail curling comfortably around his legs. With his head cocked slightly, he cast a smile in Kacia's direction, noticing for the first time how beautiful she really was. He couldn't imagine how other varg could make fun of her for the lopsided appearance her torn ear gave her, but then again, some lera were surprisingly shallow...Dane was able to see past physical appearances right down to her personality and attitude that seemed to match his to a tee. Her scent filled his nostrils like a sweet nectar, both relaxing him and leaving him content. It seemed with the two varg before hi, he would never have to be alone again, nor would he want to.
He grinned at Kacia's accurate description of him, and was pleased to see that she and Dakota seemed to be getting along rather well. Glancing at Dakota again, he nodded towards the herla carcass. "Oh, by all means- help yourself. I'm through, enjoy while it's still warm." This kind gesture was quite a contrast to when he had first met Dakota. Dane had seemed to guard his kill of rabbit with his very life, and now, he was offering it wholeheartedly. It just went to show what a little kindness could do to melt a cold heart.

Dakota's bright green eyes danced as he watched the 2 varg in front of him. He was glad that Dane had found another companion, and a she-wolf no less. The fae seemed almost a little unsure of her looks but Dakota could see the strength inside of her warm eyes.
Grinning he turned to Kacia. "That reminds me of my first encounter with Dane. I was younger then, he turned out to really be my only connection to other varg. And in many instances I would probaly credit him with keeping me from going insane. I don't know if he remembers that though", he said winking at the older male. "I think I kept alot of my feeling on the inside around that time." Lightening up he flashed another smile and exclaimed "But who wants to talk about that, it can't be too interesting."
At the varg's offer he looked over at the somewhat discarded Herla carcuss. The vixen he had just eaten wasn't small but he was none the less still hungry. Nodding gratefully he opened his ebony jaws wide and took a bite out of the kill. Sounds of pleasure escaped his mouth as he let the warm meat slide down his throat. It had seemed like ages since he had enjoyed Herla meat, as a kerl it was difficult to take down such large pray by yourself.
After he had enjoyed his fill Dakota sat back and looked around him. The threes and brush that surrounded the little vally made for a pretty scene and for Dakota the trees seemed to protect him from anything bad that lurked in the dark parts of the forest. The area had always seemed to provide some sort of safe haven for the young black varg. He had always felt at home no matter where he was at, and at the moment the feeling seemed to be twice as strong. Dakota couldn't help but feel like he had found his family all over agian.

Catching herself watching Dakota with curious eyes she looked away as the newly arrived black varg began to eat his fill of the herla. The breeze blew through again making her feel so alive as well a part of her old pack again so with the smell of the coming spring in the air, her mind momentarily wondered to her lost pack as it did so very often. Silently she questioned if she would ever find that type of love as well as security, friendship, and many other things again. Perhaps she would but would she want that again? What if she lost them again? The thoughts bothered her so she focused on Dakota's brief story of he and Dane's first meeting. Kacia could almost picture it before her as if she was witnessing the event.
Dane, sulking or snarling at a younger black varg who seemed to only want companionship from the latter. The scene made her smile reappear as she now saw them both before her in reality. Knowing Dane for only a short while, she felt as if they had been friends forever. Kacia hoped he felt the same but now was not the time to ask but even if it was appropriate the words would probably never be uttered by her. The new varg interested her with his bouncy spirit, bright emerald eyes, deep black pelt, and livening scent. Feeling almsot embarrassed at this realization, Kacia wondered if Dane would notice. Surely not, afterall no male was that observant or thoughtful on such matters. Almost suddenly her thoughts vanished as she decided to engage in more conversation.
"Sounds like you two were quite the couple. I can't picture Dane around a younger version of you, Dakota. No offense I hope." Kacia teased the two varg, swishing her tail, looking quite confident of herself but in a playful manner that dared them to mock her.

Looking at Dakota, his mismatched eyes shone with the flood of memories rushing through his mind. The gleeful tone in Dakota's voice lightened the already floating mood as the voices of the three Varg rose into the afternoon sky. Their laughter and reminiscing seemed to spread over the entire land, adding to the streams of sunshine beating down on their pelts and filling their hearts with warmth.
As the black Varg stuffed his maw with large chunks of herla meat, Dane imagined his stomach as being a bottomless pit that stretched into the furthest reaches of eternity...The first encounter he spoke of was fresh in Dane's sharp mind, as if it had happened but suns ago. A small chuckle escaped the throat of the lightly-colored varg as he listened to Dakota's words. "Yes, Dakota here was lucky enough to run into me after I had made a kill... I was feeling quite hostile, to say the least...and our first impressions of eachother weren't the best.." His memory flashed back to the day when he had snarled so viciously at the black wolf. What would have happened had a fight broken out between them? He decided not to dwell on that, but to continue on his train of thought. "I don't know what it was that made me open up to this one...I guess you could say you saved a bit of my sanity as well. What was left of it anyway.." Hearing Dakota's last words, he knew that he too kept most of his feelings inside. He had still never discussed his past with anyone but Dakota, and even then he did not venture into too much detail.
Turning his attention back to the moment at hand, he maintained the smile on his handsome face, flashing his gaze to Kacia once more. Besides his parents, he had never known what it was like to be a part of a pack. Why, even his parents had been kerl, and with Dane added into the picture, they were only a pack of three. Despite his lack of experience in this area, he couldn't help but feel the slightest sense of security and belonging here, amongst his two friends.

A deep laugh escaped Dakota's jaws as he listened to Dane recount the events of their meeting in greater detail. Not wanting Kacia to feel left out he quickly turned his head twards her and grined. "Yes. I guess we were for a little while. No offense taken though, I can be annoying I am sure. Dane was probaly pretty annoyed when I first started following him."
Feeling a little restless Dakota stood up to streatch his legs. Systematically he streatched each ebony leg out and trotted in a small circle around the two other varg. The extra meat in his belly was now filling him with renewed energy and the light breeze that was blowing through the area made his dark coat on end. Throwing his heavy head in the air he breathed in a few deep breaths of the cool wild air and smiled contentadly, the tips of his white fangs were showing under his dark lips and and when they sun glinted agianst them flashs of white would shine in the varg's eyes. "Isn't this weather wonderful...I think its my favorite time during the seasons. I have never been one to handle the heat very well...."

Interested by his fiery spirit, Kacia watched Dakota's actions with intensity. She let the smile on her maw stay as it was placed, a flash of light gleamed in her almond eyes. What a strange varg he was, this Dakota. Glancing at Dane to see what he was going to do, she too stood up, stretching her legs with a large luxurious yawn. Shaking her fur, Kacia sneezed, clearing her senses of the stink of herla. She licked her maw, glancing around the area wondering what they should do next. Personally she was ready for a nice long nap, yet the spunky Dakota seemed ready for action. Perhaps Dane was tired as well so the popular vote would draw them together for a cozy slumber.
Kacia yanwed once more producing a slight puppy like squeak as she did so. Embarrassed she looked down for a moment before trotting around to the other side of the dead herla to scent the air. "It is rather nice. I prefer the warm weather though. I guess an ebony pelt may make it uncomfortable." She turned to nod at Dakota, quite unneccesarily so she turned to look back out across the valley. Suddenly she felt slightly uncomfortable out in the open so she turned to go closer to the forest, the edge of which held the fallen herla in bloody arms.
Thinking of what she must do she realized she may not be with Dane and Dakota much longer. She had to make her way to the lands of the Balkar. Kacia had busniness to attend to and time was always fleeting. If the boys wished for a nap she would stay but if they wished to travel on she would be forced to say her good-byes. The idea of which actually saddened her considerably. Kacia wondered if it was noticeable as she stood with her paws in the snow, staring at them blankly. Auds back, tail down, she scented the air again to see if there was anything new or interesting on the wind but alas there wasn't.

"Aye," he said in response to Dakota. "I despise hot weather. My fur clumps together and it's a rather trying experience..." He wondered what he was going to do once summer arrived to the forest of Transylvania. Though still colder than most summers around the world, it was still more than he could stand. Perhaps he would just stand in the middle of a cool lake for a few months, until summer had passed? The dark fur along his back was a prime target for the unrelenting sun, and like Dakota's pelt, it devoured heat quickly. Stretching his cream-colored legs out before him, his shoulders made a pop that seemed to echo throughout the forest. Opening his maw wide revealed his sharpened fangs as he gave a hearty yawn. The hunt, including the chase and eating of the massive meal, had left him feeling rather drowsy. He looked at Dakota who seemed ready to run laps around the whole forest, then to Kacia who seemed tired and restless all at the same time. "You got somewhere to go, Kacia?" he questioned bluntly, though in his heart he was more than a bit concerned at the thought of her leaving so soon. He had just met her for Fenris' sake! Perhaps he would follow her if her intent was indeed to leave. He was sure Dakota could do with a bit of adventure as well. ((I am SO sorry this took so long guys, and that it's such a short post. Noticing the reactions of the 2 varg around him Dakota quickly decided that he would continue to relaxe where he was at. He didn't want them to feel pressured to do anything especally when they both looked a little on the tired side. The only reason the black varg wasn't experiancing the same thing is because he often spent his free time sleeping. It was one of the blessings and curses of being a kerl for him. He had plenty of time to sleep and relax, but it only served to remind him how alone his life was.
Picking a soft grassy spot on the ground Dakota dropped his bulky body onto the earth and streatched his long ebony legs out in front of him. Looking from face to face of the 2 compainians Dakota wondered what would be thier next reaction. Hearing Dane's question to Kacia he looked over at the pretty fae. Was she leaving?, he wondered. If so would Dane go with her? What would he himself do? These questions clowded his mind as he silently waited for Kacia's response.
((Sorry for the short post...))

(sorry for the wait, life's been rough)
Observing the two varg with all of her senses, Kacia couldn't help but feel numb. Numb, because she knew she had to leave them even though she almost felt warmth in their company and also numb because she knew they could not go with her. Yawing widely, showing her bright teeth in the light of Fenris as well as stretching her toned body again, Kacia kept her eyes away from Dakota and Dane. Focusing her almond orbs on the distance across the field she sighed silently, scenting the air which carried a scent of the herla that her and Dane had hunted not too long ago. The day was beginning to crawl into darkness along with the idea of Kacia's travelling alone again. It was necessary though so she reminded herself of her goal before taking a step forward.
Pausing she looked back at Dakota and Dane, licking her maw of the very last particles of the juicy herla that left her longing for a luxurious den to nap in. Resisting the urge to sleep or stay longer within the company of the two varg who she came to like or rather appreciate the company of, especially Dane whom she'd known longer, she spoke to them. "I'm sorry to say but I must get moving. I have things that I need to accomplish and business to attend to." Pausing she looked from Dakota to Dane and then back to the ebony Dakota again. Fixing her gaze on him to address him personally. "It was a pleasure making your aquaintance and perhaps we will meet again."
Taking several more steps through the crunching snow, Kacia stopped again, flicking her auds as she turned her attention to Dane. Clenching her maw she blinked hard before mustering herself to say her farewell. It was peculiar in some ways at how hard it was to leave him behind so she consoled herself with thoughts of their meeting again. "Thank you for the shared catch, Dane. You're an interesting varg who I expect to see around. I'm sorry I can not stay longer." Wishing to leave she forced herself to stay in place to hear any words they wish to say to her.

He could tell by the way she averted their eyes that she intended to leave. His heart, heavy with grief, seemed to sink to the very pit of his stomach. Fenris was taking his leave of the sky, and no doubt Tor would soon ascend to light the darkness. As Kacia walked back to them, he rose to his feet and hung his head slightly, as if he were a pup who had just been scolded by their parents.
He stood patiently, listening as she said her goodbye to Dakota, and looked up lamentably at her when she finally spoke to him. Ears pressed flat against his head expressed his sadness at her departure, When he spoke, he sounded more like a pitiful cub who was always being left out than the strong, brave kerl that others saw. "Can't we go with you?" he sounded hopeful, though he knew the answer was probably no. What would he do after she left? Hang around with Dakota? Go find somewhere to rest and take a nap? An adventure seemed much more appeasing, though he knew once again he would be left behind.
Despite his desire to follow Kacia to the edge of the forest, he came to grips with reality and accepted the femme would be leaving alone. A sigh escaped his maw as he looked at her to say his farewells. No, he would not say goodbye, for that would imply a permanent disconnection. Instead, he forced a smile to his face, becoming once again that charming, mysterious lone wolf. "Think naught of it," he said in response to the kill, "I'm sure we'll meet agian..."

Dakota's mind now remained locked between two waring emotions. He had barely gotten to know Kacia before she had announced that she must be on her way. And with Dane's questioning comment about joining the fae, the young male felt his adventuras spirit lifting agian. If given the chance he would definatly join in on where ever the she-wolf was headed. The the other side of his emotions would try and shine through. The idea that he had truspassed into the two varg's relationship kept flashing through his mind, and if that was the case he knew that it would be best to leave now and let them continue on their way. Dakota couldn't remember the last time he had contained such a conflict inside of him.
Shaking his blocky head lightly Dakota tryed to clear his foggy mind and bring his thoughts back to what the two varg in front of him were saying. "It was nice to meet you too...", he said to Kacia. His words trailed a little at the end, fading into the cool air around him. "It saddens me that you must leave so soon, but I will look forward to meeting you agian." Looking over at Dane, Dakota saw familiar emotions cross his handsome face. Based on their past encounter Dakota was sure he saw sarrow fill the varg's eyes, he seemed sad to be losing his companion. But then agian the ebony male quickly though, I could be wrong. If Dane had some unresolved feelings he would probaly speak up....
Unable to think of a way to fill the silance that now hung around them like a thick fog, Dakota simply shifted his green eyes between the faces of the wolves at his side. Waiting to see who would act first.

Noticing the eager, anticipating males watching her Kacia bottled her emotions like she was so apt at doing. This was something she had to do alone. She must make her way to the Balkar and... nevermind, that was for later. Swishing her tail she took a deep breath that seemed stifled with anxiety. Kacia couldn't help but feel almost ashamed for how attached she seemed to have become to Dane even though they had just met. Licking her maw, her eyes focused on Dakota and Dane she tried to at least explain her sudden departure.
"There are some things I must do and I really can't have any company. It just wouldn't work." She caught herself before saying she was sorry, not recalling if she had already or not but she felt it was not something to be sorry for. Afterall, saying such a thing made her feel weak or vulnerable. With that said she still could not move her paws in the opposite direction which she knew she needed to travel in. Letting the now chilled air fill her lungs she let herself memorize their scents, appearance, and personalities. They were special to her somehow and in a way she didn't quite understand herself.
Finally she abruptly turned on her cracked pads, moving her self away from them and toward her goal. Her goal to get to the Balkar and meet with Serg. Much was to be done and she let these thoughts flood her mind instead of dwelling on those she now left in her wake. Dane's look had hurt her, made her feel as if she should stay so the fact that it did so also bothered her. Bristling her fur she continued to stalk away making sure she did not look back, fearing that she would not leave if she did so. The light of Fenris sunk deeper into a palatte of remarkable hues that splashed the sky with light before Tor would assume her role. Why did the world seem to move so smoothly if inside she felt chaos?
