Blood sprayed the cave floor. Fellack slashed his paws left, right, and kicked high into the Varg's muzzle. 3 others lay on the canyon, sprawled legs, open eyes; all three dead. With a final corrupted blow, Fellack's eyes, now glowing red, glared at his attacker as his muzzle made a final rip at the throat. I told you I would kill you... Fellack was about to put his claws into the dying Varg's chest as a disembodied voice woke him up with a jolt. "Fellack, wake up." Fellack jolted from his dream to see the wet, a little bloody, face of Tarlar staring at him. He turned his head not to make eye contact. And within her eyes he could see his own: a firm blue- not red: It was just a dream. "What happened to you?"Fellack spoke as he noticed the lightly washed blood on her face.

Talar looked down at Fellack, his eyes looked stressed and pale. Like he just had a bad dream. "What happened to you?" Fellack said. Talar thought of something fast, "I was trying to.....um- I fell in the river in hit my head, but I'm fine. Don't worry." Talar had said. She didn't want to tell Fellack the truth, because she was scared the truth might break them apart even more. Talar didn't want to loose him as a friend, from being so lonely. Then again, she didn't want to endanger him. "But we should get off the mountain, head for the west. I saw something coming our way earlier."
She could trust him, but she feared to know just as much as he did.

Fellack squinted at the bright sun. He recognized within the stammer of her voice the reflection of his own lies: She wasn't telling the truth. But it didn't matter. If what she was saying was true, there was a hostile nearby and that meant they had to go. He just left it with a subtle hint that he knew she wasn't telling everything: " Your blood is a little light for a Varg." Fellack began with Tarlar now the long journey west across the mountain. Fellack seemed calm as he walked, but inside his nerves were on fire. The way they headed was to the wolves he had called earlier- there would be blood shed: The Varg West of here were the ones who took his father.

Talar ignored what Fellack had said and set of running into the west. She looked at him and it was as if he was warry about somthing...Or someone. All she was thinking of was getting off of the mountain. Talar sighed deep inside of her. It was a human she had killed last night,.... long, long ago. She began in her head. ~~~~~~~~~~lost in thought``` Talar had a pup of her own once. It was a bad hunting season with less food, so Tor gave Talar a single, special gift. She lived happily in her pack until a new member came, she was quite odd, one day they set off with the new-com\mer to babysit it while they had gone hunting. Then When they came back the new-comer was gone, and Talars pup was nearly dead. Talar blamed Tor for letting this creature come in to kill her pup, she didn't belive in her, she betrayed her. So Talar went to wolfbane, she brought her dying pup with her. She claimed wolfbane to save her pup, she couldn't bare to see it die. Wolfbane agreed the pact, but there was a catch, Wolfbane ordered she couldn't keep it herself, so he gave the pup life and turned it into a human baby. There she had to live under wolfbanes command till she died. So Talar set the baby near the human village(the one from the last moon) and left it cying bitterly and she cussed as she went back to her pack. The pack asked what happend and Talar lied saying she burried the pup. Weeks later Talar went back to the village and spied on her daughter, when suddenly a human caught her and chased her off. The humans claimed she tried to steal and kill the baby so they fallowed her and killed her pack that night. It was all her fault too, now her family was dead..... ~~~~~~~~````` "Fellack," she finally said after a long whie," I can't lie to you....." they were still running, "Last night I went into the human village to kill a baby and its adopted family, I-.. I did it because of an old pact. Tor would band me to hell if I kept that evil in this world. You may not understand what I am saying, but it is okay..." Talar looked down sadly, the only way to break her curse was to get rid of what started it in the first place, she had to killher own pup.

The next day was a hot, muggy one, Fellack panted as heat blistered the skin under his black, shaggy coat. Fellack heard Tarlar's story overtime, listening intently and asking questions at the points he needed an answer to. At the end, Fellack stopped. He turned to Tarlar, and once looked into her eyes, and Fellack's too: Saddened and sorry. "I don't know how to say this but..." Fellack mustered a smile. "I know you did the right thing. What you must have gone through seems unbearable, but Tor would give his forgiveness if he knew what you had to go through in redemption. I would have done the same thing." Fellack breathed deep, Fenris was setting, and Tor rose to greet the cleansed. "I too, have done wrong by the persuasion of Wolfbane. I thought I could use his protection; I didn't need anyone else. For a month or more I strode, heart black and intentions wild- my mind set on vengeance for my family. Now I know one thing is true." Fellack looked towards the stars that protruded from the night sky. "Always keep ones close to you and never sway from your path you have been destined to lead. And never, never, stop what you have started." With that Fellack sprinted off towards the edge of the mountainside. A low, tender howl erupted from Fellack's lungs as he leaped into the darkness of the night and vanished alone over the hilly rocks.

Talar looked back at him as he explained, she agreed completley. Never had she opened up to tell anyone her story, ever. Well that night they howled to the moon. Talar felt a sudden lift off of her sholders, it felt good to speak what was on her mind. Her spirit lifted over the days, they cept traveling west. The days got more mumid as the Traveld west toward the Danube river.
Over they hunted deer together and saw limited humans over the days, but managed to avoid them. When one day they suddenly smelt the scent of another pack of Varg. "Do you smell that?"

Fellack rose his head to great the smell. "I do. Quickly, hide behind the bushes. It's them." Fellack stepped forward to hide Tarlar from the oncoming pack of wolves. The smell of blood and death followed the pack. It was them, the pack whom had come at Fellack's call not a few suns ago. "Reghka." Fellack addressed the wolf in front, a strong, grey wolf with scars ripping down his muzzle. "What do you want now?" "Wolfbane's calendar is much past due. Where is the human cub?" Reghka addressed, stepping forward to meet Fellack's eyes. "By Tor! I don't work for you anymore! I will kill you now like you did my fami..." There was a rustle in the bushes. "Slaughter the intruder in the bushes! I'll take care of the unbeliever!"Barked Reghka as he lunged with open mouth towards Fellack's neck.

Talar did as she was told, she hid quickly behind the bush and waited. She saw the other Varg come up to Fell and she listened. It was spring and flowers were bluming like crazy, infact one was right under her nose. She tried to hold it in but a sneeze came out and rattled the bush, "Shiz, I think they heard me." She looked up to see the lead dragga looking strait at her and order his troops to get them. They came right for her, and at the same time Fellack was being jumped at by the lead wolf.
"For the love of Tor, there are ten of them!" Talar didn't want to abandon Fell but she had to for just a moment. She had an idea. Talar sprang out of the bushes and jumped over the oncoming Varg. They all fallowed her as she raced to the peak of the mountain, she was heading for a strange like help of some sort. Then as quickly as she could trying to trick them between obsticals, they were suprisingly good at running and caught up with her.
Once Talar reached the peak of the mountain she spotted over the land, then not so far away humans were out hunting on the side of the mountain. She had to think fast to get there attention. Then Talar let out a loud strict howl. All the humans looked up at the wolf and came to them racing and yelling. Then the Varg approached her and she stopped to look at them, her back foot on the edge of the peak, one false move and she could fall to her death beyond.
"If I go down, you are comming down with me, you see thoughs humans, they are comming for you. They arn't like the ones you faught off before, these are trained warriors. No matter what you are all doomed. Even if it means I'm going with you!" Talar bravely said raising her head and tail higher then ever before. She dearly hoped Fell was okay. The rant of humans got louder. Then Talar looked behind her seeing the drop off of the mountainuos cliff. She stalled them till the humans got closer. Then when one of the wolves decided to stike at her, she took a step back and disapeared off the peak of the mountain.

Reghka lunged at Fellack's neck: jaws open wide revealing a row of sharp, blood-stained teeth and a desire in the dragga's eyes to kill. Fellack shot to the left, avoiding the blow of Reghka by less than an inch. Fellack tried a counter and parried his claws at the wolf's side, ripping open a patch of flesh, blood oozing over the ground. Reghka regained from his missed attack and spun to meet his paw with Fellack's muzzle, knocking Fellack to the ground with a large thump! And Reghka pounced upon Fellack, jaws tearing at his neck, drawing the helpless black Varg's blood to mix with his, a frenzy of claws, teeth, tails, and splashes of blood. As Fellack almost gave out to the Varg gods greeting him to join them, an instinctive idea came into his head. Fellack bit back, bit into Reghka's muzzle with such a force that an audible snap could be heard from across the forest surrounding the mountainside. And with that snap, the hostile Dragga's lower jaw snapped right off, pools of blood following it crashing to the ground. Reghka stood there, stunned, before falling limply to the ground. The fight was over. But that didn't mean the battle wasn't. Fellack immediately wasted no time getting up, regaining a bit of his consciousness, and with a surge of adrenaline rushed to where he could smell Tarlar's scent strong in the breeze. He gasped. The scent of humans could be smelled, too. Fellack arrived in time to hear Tarlar's threatening words as she backed off the cliff, her tail limply floating for a second before her body gave way over the mountainside. Fellack howled in anger and fear for the fae, his friend, and the wolf that meant so much to him. And Fellack was greeted by the shouts of others- humans, as his own howl subsided.

Talar heard a crack as she had landed on her front leg only 10 feet under where she had fallen to trick the oncoming Varg. So that it appeared she fallen to her death, when really Talar did not. I think i broke it she thought looking to her leg she landed on, whining in pain. Talar got up on the three remaining legs she had left and crawled over against the wall so she couldn't be seen.
One of the Vargs that had chased her looked over the egde to see nothing but small empty ledges and the ground thousands of feet below. "She is finnished, now go back to Reghka before the humans come."
That was close, she thought. Then she heard a howl from Fellack, was he okay, well at least he was still alive! He was close, and she could feel it. The human scent got stronger too, she had to get him out of here. But how? She couldn't as much walk, most part even get off of the ledge she landed on. Was Reghka dead? Where the humans already advancing? So many questions ran through her mind it drove her crazy.
After a while, when she knew the other pack had gone, Talar wispered upwards,"Fellack, you still there?" Talar wined hoping that he didn't think she died and left for his own safety. Only moments before she had fallen, she saw Fellack watch her. It nearly broke her with saddness to have him see that. Then the smell of humans fadded, maybe they fallowed the other pack? she thought gladly sighing with relief.

Fellack's mind swirled with pain. His throat, his chest, his heart, his soul. All hurt now. Running through his saline tears splashing into his open wounds Fellack lunged towards the remaining three wolves. He would leave none alive.
*********************************************************************** The night grew dark and cold, and the smell of the humans was slowly diminishing into the night. Three now moldering Varg corpses lay smashed by the forces of gravity at the mountainside, thousands of feet below a long fall. A foot fell harshly on one of the grey wolf's body, and lifted onto the ground. There stood a black, slender Varg, scars now ripped across his chest and muzzle open, flowing freely with blood. Fellack was broken inside and out. As he was about to lay down in the pile of corpses, to join them with Tor, Fenris, Tarlar, and his family, he heard a soft whisper- he made out his name, and he painfully howled a sorrow response. Please, please, be Tarlar! Fellack thought as he limped painfully forward.

The night grew and Talar wimpered in pain as she lay there on the rock looking around for even the slightest footholds on the mountain to come up.
Talar smelt the stentch of many dead Varg, after her wisper she heard a whining sort of howl. Was that him? Talar thought, Or was that one of them scum form earlier? but Talar reconized the whine and she said again a bit louder, "Fell-Fellack! I am still alive! Please you got to help me...pleas-se...."Talars voice broke.

Fellack's head jolted up. So it IS Tarlar! But as Fellack listened more he realized she was in pain. And it was bad; with that whatever adrenaline left in Fellack pushed him flying towards her, and to meet up with Tarlar, leg sprawled in front of her against the cold rock. Fellack whined at Tarlar's broken leg: suddenly his cuts, wounds, and scars didn't mean much anymore. A wolf with a broken leg could mean easy death. If another raid were to happen, if something happened to Fellack and she was on her own, she couldn't hunt! "We are both hurt, but I think I know what we can do. I remember in fables as a cub- Sky Mountain, it was called- a place of healing and purification of sins. We can go there- we must heal!" Fellack whimpered at no response from the shattered Fae. She was unconscious, and hurting badly. With all of his strength Fellack lifted Tarlar onto his back, his body quivering but standing, her's limp with pain and broken words. He would begin the trip to Sky Mountain with Tarlar: whether it killed him or not.

Talar woke up lightly noticing that she had fainted, Talar woke up slightly openning her eyes bit-by-bit. Her leg, it still hurt but a wolf isn't a wolf when it can't walk, she slightly remembered seeing a human dog scum walking with only three legs before. "Fellack stop!" She cried and she slid of his back and onto three legs, "You are more hurt than me, I think I can manage to walk myself." Talar then walked on her three legs dragging her fourth ever so slightly.
Sky mountain? isn't that a myth. Talar thought, then she remembered just then what she did two suns ago, the power of wolfbane she had used. It came with her curse. ~~~2 suns ago~~~~~~ In front of her Fellack stood nodding to the mysterious stranger that had entered to save them. Talar smelt the scent of human blood rising to her nose. Fellack smiled at her. Talar sat down, the wound on her ached but she didn't seem to notice as they quickly healed away in seconds. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The problem was, Talar needed to be able to think clearly, she couldn't right now. Also, how far away could this mountain be, they might as well kill themselves just tying to get there. Talar layed down, "Go ahead, I'll catch up later." Talar said, she needed to think, try to heal it herself. Talar was to determined to even be close to dying. She pushed her leg on the ground and popped the bone back in place and she yelped in pain, HEAL! HEAL! she kept thinking. But nothing was working. Then she thought about the time, turning to wolfbane, whose side are you on? The voice seemed to say.
"Wolfbane's." She said. Then Talar stood up and walked on all fours, she had to catch up with Fellack to help him, if she could.

Fellack stopped. Tarlar slid off his back and onto the ground. "Go ahead, I'll catch up later." Tarlar said, and within seconds Fellack watched in awe as her leg snapped back into place. Fellack growled as she got up. "I told you to be done with her!!!" Fellack growled at the stars looming above. "I WON'T LET YOU TAKE ANOTHER!" Fellack whirled at Tarlar. His mind was swimming. "Each time you use him, you make him stronger! Do you not think I know of his powers?!" Fellack growled a deep growl as he advanced towards Tarlar. "We will travel to Sky Mountain, and be TRULY healed. Wolfbane shall leave our souls when we are truly healed." Fellack didn't say another word as he advanced up the mountain. He was hurting inside: he didn't like to get angry at Tarlar, but she had cut their time short. Wolfbane was coming, and he was bringing backup.
