Summer was indeed Zwi’s favorit season. The land was full of bright vivid colors, making her own vivid pelt blending with the land. It was a time she could hunt and stalk, feel more at ease, more like a real wolf. Camouflaged, invisible in her surroundings. One thing she did not like about summer was the heat. For now she was taking refuge from the scorching sun in the shade of the forest. She loved the forest. It seemed to be the place where her best friendships started.
Jack, the blood red and ebon mann with eyes that reminded her of the night sky. The one who was convince he was a monster, a monster that she could not see. They had only meet once, but since then she could not get him off her mind. Just the thought of him stirring up emotions she was not sure she understood. And many she did. Those she felt the most, regret and sadness for the way she acted. And now she wished so hard that she could see him again, to apologies to him for her actions. But if it didn’t happen, she knew she could live with that. She was getting better. Even able to have the short romp with the young Fae she had meet a while back in the mountains. The other one she meet here was responsible for that.
Silvanus, a sweet ebon mann with the twisted leg. The night she spent with him just outside the abandoned human den had opened her back up after the brief illness of her mind. She wondered where he was now too. Was he safe? Had his wounds healed at all? She was so torn up, body and mind, and she wasn’t completely sure her company had helped him like it had her. She would have to find him again one day too, to thank him if for no other reason but that.
Breaking in all the intoxicating aromas the forest had to offer, Her mind traveled back to all the time she spent her. Chasings smells, and finding friends. And running away from them too. Golden orbs took in all the sights they could. She had make it to one of the thickest parts of the forest now. It all looked so familiar but so different. The lush greens blending together, the blue sky peeking through in patches, eye catching against the sun lit leaves of the trees. She walked in and out of the beams of light shinging down. Feeling the heat of the sun warm her pelt. What does the sun smell like? It was the thought that only a pup could make, something she hadn’t had in a long time. But as stupid as it was, she stepped into a beam, the light warming her face. She close her eyes and inhaled slowly.
That’s strange. Sunlight smells very familiar. Her lids shot open, eyes darting about. That wasn’t the smell of sunlight, that was the smell of him. If he was here she had to find him. Jack. her thoughts screamed. Jack, Jack, Jack! Jack where are you? she lifted her muzzle to the air and sniffed again. Maybe it was just her imagination. Maybe it wasn’t his smell.
But it was, and she had the trail now. She would not run away from him this time. She would apologies, and put these uneasy feelings to rest. She continued along the trail. The forest was thinning now, she could see farther and move faster.
Was that red in the distance? It was, and black, on a large form. It was him! She had done it! Found him at last!
Jack! Jack, Jack, Jack! her mind screamed some more. And finaly her voiced joined in.
“Jack!”
She was so completely and utterly blinded by happiness as she approached, that she didn’t see the slight darkness in his eyes that wasn’t there before.
(( sorry I'm a bit rusty! >.< ))

It was the usual here in these blasted woods. Ruddy, cramped and annoyingly cheery. Honestly how could anyone stand those confounded birds was a thought he would rather not contest in his mind for far too long. Large bloody paws sunk into the warmed soil of the forest floor, his mind whirring and buzzing with the elation of his latest kill. A small and rather helpless fawn. The poor little thing had taken a stumble and twisted it's back ankle, bleating for it's mother and some little hope of shelter, HA!. The stupid should know to hide and remain hidden until they could run and run far, their predator would always be nearby, always hunting, always stalking and always hungry for blood.
Body shuddering the large brute pulled himself up a small incline in the deep soil, cursing his large build for a minute. But his mind jumped as did his auditories as he thought he heard a sound in the distance followed by the swiftness of running paws. Perhaps he was losing it... there was no one here but him for now and if anyone dare come near him after he had just feasted.... they would regret it. Blood lust pounded through his veins, screaming, laughing and wriggling in utter ecstasy from the kill. Mind reeling when he heard the sound again the brute spun on his heels.
And saw her.
A fae it seemed. An oddly colored fae at that and she was approaching fast. Such a stupid one....what would she want from him? What stupid desire would cause her to move closer and why did she seem so happy to see him? Growling quietly his legs spread, bracing, muscles quivering with obvious brute power. Shivering he watched her, royal blues flashing with dark impending doom and still burning blood lust from the kill. She was out of her mind.
"What do you want Fae? I'm in no mood for pettiness." he snapped, voice gruff and harsh, eyes piercing into Zwi's own, as if trying to own her very soul. Deep within the brute's mind, without his knowing, a presence stirred. It had been disturbed from it's slumber in this dark foreboding place. Shaking it's head the being silently looked through the eyes of the body that should have been his...and he could have felt his heart stop if he had one in this state.
'Zwi?! Oh no...Zwi! Zwi! No! Get away from here! ZWI!!!' the being shouted out into the echoing darkness of his prison, but the only one who heard him was himself. Agony ripping the void of the darkness that belonged to him as he realized this. Thrashing, attempting to escape but in vain, he continued to scream in the darkness of the mind, unheard by the outside world
'ZWI!!!'

Zwi reached him finally. So excited she could jump out of her own skin. Her skin prickled and her fur rose. She passed it off as excitement, unaware it was her body trying to tell her she was not talking to who she thought she was. It was telling her to run away, find Jack another day, for this was not him. But she ignored it. She did however stop about 10 feet from him. So excited to see him but unsure how to close the last little gap to him.
She stopped there, delicate paws and long legs, dancing, shifting her body from side to side slightly. Along with her dancing paws, her tail pointed towards the sky, bushy and wiggling slightly. Her excitement generated so much energy she could not contain it. The mann spoke, but the words were muted, her heart pounding in her ears. However, his stance confused her. Why wasn’t he as glad to see her, as she was to see him? “Jack! Jack, its me, its Zwi!” the words poured out of her mouth so fast it would be a wonder if he could understand them. “Oh Jack it's so good to see you again! I’m so sorry about what I did last time, I didn’t mean it! Jack please forgive me!” Her eyes were glazed over some, afraid he might not accept her apology, that he will hate her for this. That he wouldn't accept the apology she worked so hard to find and give! Afraid of something so small compared to what she should be afraid of.
She had no idea the danger she had just put herself in. The monster that stood before her was the monster Jack had mentioned, the one she could not see before. But she was about to see. She was about to see the exact thing she refused to acknowledge Jack was. Or rather, the thing that had taken over his body, the thing he could not stop.
But rather then listening to the small signs her body was giving off. Rather then reading into his posture more. Rather then looking into his eyes and seeing what was really there, and running from it. She just stood there, not really looking at anything. Just waiting for what she hoped to be acceptance of her apology.
((I have the feeling these are gonna get a bit shorter and shorter as they go! =X sorry!))

(Thats alright)
Inside his darkened prison Jack swore he could have started sobbing, if it weren't for the fact he did not possess a body at the right moment. Instead he pounded on the invisible walls of the dark void that he was trapped in, trying desperately to get out, to break free, to stop this. Still trying to reach her he kept screaming 'Zwi! Of course I forgive you Zwi! I'll forgive you as many times as it takes but please! Please! Run now! Run as far as your legs can take you! Just run!!' still it was in vain, she could not hear him, no one could...not even this monster.
Royal blue eyes flashed and his fur bristled, ears flicking back while ebon lipped jowls turned up in an amused sneer. A low chuckle started rumbling in his chest only to tear up his throat and out of his powerful jaws. Paws flexing in the dirt, for more grip, he stopped his laughter and flexed his shoulders "Jack?" he asked in his deep, gruff and un-Jack like voice "How is it you know the name I once went by fae? No one knows that...No one." he flexed again, body bracing.
His grin slowly turned into a sadistic smirk. Slowly he began to approach the smaller femme, his massive form now much more intimidating now that the original gentle owner of the body was no longer in command, he seemed more deadly...more like a monster. But he stopped when he was five paces from her, royal blues flashing with their blood lust and darkness.
He stared at her, sizing her up, seeing just what it would take to take her down, to break her, to devour her piece by piece until there was nothing left.
Oh this would be such fun.

Zwi starred confused. How did she know? What sort of question was that? He told her… didn’t he? Her racing heart started to show, the pounding in her ears quieted, and she was able to see clearly again. The was something different about him. Some thing wrong. What was this? There was no way he could have changed so much in the moons they were apart? Could he? She did hadn’t she? Fell into that pit of disperse, mind ill with loneliness and regret. Could he can succumbed to a similar fate, having no one to pull him back out of it? Maybe that was all he needed, some one to pull him out of it. “How do I know? Jack to told me. You told me in these woods moons ago! We’ve been apart for a while, and I’m sorry, I ran away and I didn’t mean to, my legs were working on their own! But, Jack, you told me. You told me your name and what you do. And I told you then I wasn’t afraid, but I acted so differently and I didn’t mean to! Please, please don’t hate me for it. Please stop acting like this!”
She did not know if her words could reach him, but she felt something fall and twist deep in her stomach as he began to close the gap between them. Her Royal eyes more clearly visible. The evil in him more visible. Her tail lowered, and her ears dipped some. Her paws stayed locked in the ground, but her body shifted back slightly as he approached her. “Jack?” her words were quiet, barley whispered. “Jack what’s wrong with you?” her voice still soft. Something was definitely different, and her heart started to race again, but not from excitement. She was beginning to realize the situation she was in was not a good one. Her golden eyes darted away from him for just a split second, taking in her surroundings, as best she could in that slight glance. Her instincts were finally kicking in full throttle, working out an escape plan as she starred into his eyes.
The gap between them was so small now. So this is why she stopped so far from him. Would that gap be enough for her to turn and run? Or would it be faster to try and run past him, make him turn around. No, if she ran past he could take a swing at her. There was another way. But was she strong enough to-
NO! What was she thinking! This was Jack right? Even if he was acting different now, it was still him, he could still come through…
“Jack?”
Automatically she began taking small steps backwards, and somewhere in her delusional mind she hoped he did not take any more steps forward.

He came to a halt, ears pricking forward at her words while he listened to her prattle on and on about speaking to him, about how he had told her is name...how stupid. He had never seen this female before and honestly she was beginning to get upon his last nerve, delving herself into a deeper pit of trouble and despair. Growling he felt his ears flicker back again and his eyes narrowed sharply "I do not know you....Jack...peh...that weakling died years ago...I am no longer Jack...just Genocide." he snarled then, black lips curling up, his body seizing and tensing, he was going to pounce.
'NO!!!!'flailing in the dark prison now Jack backed up and began to ram himself into the barrier that separated him from the world, from Zwi, he had to stop this, he had to warn her, he had to!! Fruitlessly he continued to ram into the wall between this consciousness and the next, something must be done, something had to be done! 'Zwi! Zwi!!' finally with the last of his strength he slammed his head into that barrier, a loud cracking sound was heard as a thin crack appeared in the air and immediately he began to scream.
Out in the conscious world Genocide froze suddenly, his eyes focused on Zwi while those evil royal blues glazed over. His jaw fell slack just a little before he began to let out small strangled noises, apparently struggling to speak. Suddenly Jack's familiar voice spoke through unmoving jaws, he had little time...so little time! "Zwi! Please Zwi, Run! Run now! I can't... I can't control him for much longer! Just run! run!!" with that Genocide jerked and shook his head, grunting.
Shaking he snapped his eyes back to her, no longer glazed and now burning with evil hate "You! What did you do to me a moment ago?!" he snarled, ears flicking and fur bristling. What had this little whelp done a second ago?! He had been ready to pounce only for it to go black for a second... she would tell him.... or she would suffer greatly for her ignorance and stupidity.

((I godmod with permission in this post!))
That was it! That’s was jack! Zwi was sure she heard a difference in his voice. That or it wall all in her head. It very may well have been. Her stubbornness would have no other way to make her move then to let her hear the one person she wanted. Whichever it was, he was telling her to run. And she was about to, but then he spoke again. No not him but the him who was dangerous. What did you do to me? He was calling out. Zwi didn’t know what to say, she hadn’t done anything. “I-” but the words were stuck in her throat, she tried again squeezing her eyes shut “I didn’t-” But it was no use, what she said wouldn’t save her now, and with her eyes shut tight she began to move. Forward, which seemed stupid, don’t run towards the danger. She knew she couldn’t do this eyes shut, so she opened them to stare at the monster before her. She didn’t have much time to prepare for what she was doing, the gap between them so small, even with the steps back she took. But her future rode on this one move, and she would do her damndest to succeeded. With everything she had she ran at him, not away or to the sides but full on at him. It must have done something to him, because the slightest break in his steal glare ran across his face, if only for just a second. She was close enough now. She threw every thing she had into her hind legs, and with as much power as she could muster, she threw herself into the air, with her target being the patch of ground behind the Mann.
It was probably the wrong move. Who goes over their foe? Zwi apparently. It was a good thing she had such long legs and a light body or it probably wouldn’t have worked as well as it did. Or so she though. Neglected to realize that as she flew over him, her vital stomach would be defenseless, and the blood red varg took full advantage of this. He reached a paw up swiping at the fae, but the angle was weird, and he only grazed her stomach. It would be soar later, reddened and graze marks raised, but nothing too serious. It did cause her to stumble as she landed. But still unable to think clearly, her body worked on its own, launching her forward, running as fast as she ever had.
“Why you little-” the snarl ripped out of him like a roar as he took off after her. Zwi was fast, but could she out run him? She knew she couldn’t run forever, she would have to find a way to lose him. But how? She was afraid to look around too much. The forest was still a bit thick, and she could easily run into a tree. Maybe that would give her an advantage? She was thinner, sleeker, able to make it threw smaller gaps then him. She wondered how far ahead of him she was. She tried resisting the ears to look back. And when she did, she wished she hadn’t. The stumbled landing slowed down her head start, and he was right on her tail. How was he gaining on her? He was faster then she had anticipated. As she turned her head forward though, she saw something that would help. And old burrow or den of some kind at the base of a tree. It was large enough that she could get in, but the thick roots of the tree stopped it from becoming too wide. She would be able to get in and wouldn’t. or so she hoped.
She prayed this would work, and she veered towards the den, and also that it was uninhabited! It would be just her luck to dart into a hole with a live angry animal inside. Then again, fighting that animal would probably be easier then the one behind her, so she took the chance. She took one last look behind her, and he was closer still! She dived into the hole just as he was about to snap at her tail. Safe. Or was she? Genocide fought and struggled to get into the den after her. His monster jaws snapped and snarled in frustration. “You little- you can’t hide in there forever!” He pulled his head out and tried getting in with his claws. His claws slashed wildly inside the den, one catching Zwi on the nose slightly, as she was closer to the entrance then she should be. She backed up slowly. He was right of course. Why didn’t she think that through? She was stuck in here with him outside!
Or was she? She looked around, crouched and curled up in the semi-darkness. There was light coming in from the other side of the den. She looked back at Genocide, still thrashing, snapping and snarling. Nothing but tooth and claw in a furious rage. Could would she get away with slipping out the back? There was only one way to find out. She twisted back around and dug herself out of the hole in the back. It was a bit smaller, and she had to dig a little before she made it out. She prayed the rumbling dirt and rock wouldn’t alert him to her escape. “I’ll be waiting for you here when you get out!” he called to her. No, he had no idea she has slipped out. Thank Tor! Now she needed to get away.
She picked a direction, and ran.
