Takhi looked at the two pups and thought of her own. Maybe she should not have mentioned the pack of Sarnes. Their sense of smell was weak when it came to determining who is from what pack. They had yet to learn of such things. She was corrupting their minds with false guarantees that all of those wolves were not bad. The truth is that they were, except maybe to their own kind. She had no idea for she had not been among their ranks for too long. She had realized that she was no better than the wolves who speak of Wolfbane and try to convince stupid Vargs that he will come after them. That was rubbish, nothing but foolish lies to keep all in fear. But wasn’t she doing the same?
“Well, yes we are all different, but a lot of us have been blessed or curse with the same experiences. But let’s get off the topic of my pack for now,” she said, a kind smile spreading over her maw. She wanted to discontinue these false assurances that Sarnes were not all bad. Suppose they believed her and then approached the cannibal, Red February? These two pups would both be swallowed whole. She shivered slightly and tried not to think about it. Takhi hadn’t noticed that Shadow had been touched by sadness as Della revealed that her adoptive mother was Alice and that everything was going great, that is, until Della asked Takhi what was the matter. They were both still very young and they still looked upon adults for protection, teachings, and answers. Her ears perked as this pup looked to the ebon fae. Taking her bi-hued orbs off of the earth toned cub and looked at the black and white one.
Somehow she almost knew what had troubled the little one. She had no one to call “mother.” “Well, I believe hat she is a little upset that you have been successfully adopted, but she has not.” The rain had grown cold, still pouring from the swollen clouds in the sky, The Gods’ tear cascading down onto the creatures that worshipped them. I slight chill ran down Takhi’s body, all throughout her hide, as her coat remained damp, now slowly freezing due t the drop in temperature. Lightning flashed in the background continuously with thunder following. The fae shook her head to release some of the moisture out of her pelt.
