Fenris' rays beat down on all of the vargs in Transylvania. The heat was unbearable, and any lera out side in the sun was as good as dead. Frostpool was panting heavily as she trotted through her home in the forest. She stopped and sniffed the air.
There was a scent of an unfamiliar varg. She shrugged and walked towards the river. She could hear the heartbeat of the river a mile away. She had been walking, but the heat was making her dizzy, so she started to sprint. She imagined the water's cold walls closing on her, erasing the heat from her memory.
She hummed to herself as she ran along. Soon, she was standing in front of the river. She sniffed the air and jumped in. The water cooled her off instantly. She brought her head up above the water and swam over to the bank. She climbed out.
Birds were chirping and gnats were flying around her head. She had eaten a little bit earlier, and her stomach had begun to growl. She ignored it. The noise of the rushing water had deafened her, so if there was anything going to attack, she wouldn't know it. Frost laid down on the banks and dreamt of her past.
"Frostpool, let's go play!" my young brother had yelled. I pounced after him, my clumsy steps taking me go all over. My mother and father were discussing things in our den. They had permitted us to go near the salt water. I loved the smell of the salt air.
"What are we going to do?" I yelled after him. He didn't reply and kept on walking along. The day wasn't too hot, it was just perfect. I sighed and sprinted after him.

The humid air stood heavy ontop of the river. A young Varg could be seen, his brown pelt soaked with sweat from the heat of the day, his toung hung from the side of his jaws. He could feel the breeze rush from the river not too far away, he could also smell another Varg in the area. Though he was too desired to find water he ignored it thinking it could even be just Fernis playing tricks on him in the sun.
Blitz Finaly made it to a clearing where the river came into a bank on the side. He tumbled over to the eged and lapped up as much water as he could. It tasted sweet, cold, but most of all refreashing. The mann started to pant for air for getting to breath between laps. A black fly circled him, Blitz nipped at it and stepped into the river.
He layed down in it relaxing from his long days of walking from the land beyond the forset. The Kerl looked happily up at the blazing sun, it shinned bright upon all the Lera. He saw a long sized fish swim off near and he pounced through the river after it barking happily.
Suddenly he heard a splsh from down the river. The mann slowly lifted his head to see a young Fae in the river. Blitz got up and shook off the water from his coat.As a kerl he had not seen anyone in many days, he was excited to meet someone new. Blitz barked to get her attention, and wagged his tail.

Frost jumped up from her quick nap at the sound of a bark. She shook herself and walked slowly up to the mann. She hadn't seen anyone in days, so she was slightly wary. The mann before her was quite handsome indeed, and she was embarrased, for her coat was shaggy and not its usual white sheen.
"Um, hello. My name is Frostpool. But you can call me Frost if you'd like." Frost smiled and lapped up the river water beside her. She had forgotten that it was nasty water and she gagged and coughed and choked. She started laughing and hoped the mann would not think her a fool.
"Sorry! Don't think me a fool...I'm merely a klutz. Um, what is your name?" Frost said, laughing. She sat on her rump and waited for a reply from the handsome mann in front of her.

The Fae walked calmly up to him, she seemed pretty shy, but BLitzen didnt care. "It is nice to meet you Frost! I'm BLitzen, but I like Blitz better." Blitz tried not to laugh and the toubled Fae spit, "No, no its okay.. I have my moments like that all the time, don't be sorry!" The mann smiled and splashed the water around near where a fish was. "You smell like a Koran," He smiled. "I wish to join a pack like that one day!"
Fernis seemed to even cool down just a bit and Blitz smiled at the Fae, he had always longed to find a friend, for he was a social pup and is always outgoing and rarley cauntious about danger. Frost seemed nice though, so he had no worries.
BLitz looked far out to the middle of the river, he would only not travel there, for few wolves even would unless they were strong enough to withstand the currents. "Well," Blitz said running up the rivers current. "Want to play?" Then he sprang past Frost laughing then he loked back to see if she was fallowing, when he suddenly tripped over a medium sized rock and floated back down with the current. "Haha, I geuss im a clutz too" He then laughed, "There is nothing wrong with it though!" He said trying to make to Fae not be so embarassed.

"Well, Blitz, sure I'd like to play. I haven't played in ages." Frost laughed as Blitz tripped over a rock. She tried to hid her laughter.
"Well, Blitz, I guess we all have our moments." Frost dove out into the middle of the water. She wasn't afraid of the current. If it swept her away, she had someone to help her and she also could swim very well. She beckoned to Blitz.
For once, she was glad that she was making a new friend.

"Haha, yes we do."Blitzen said seeing the fish swarm underneith his nose. He Fallowed Frost up the river, bounding up the current after fish. He dunked his head under and brought his head back up splashing water all over the Fae.
Then he laughed, "Sorry bout' that" and Blitz got up onto the shore and shook his pelt. He was surley refreashed from the mucky water, but he decided to jump back in anyways.
"So, how are you Frost?" Blitz said hoping she wasn't upset about splashing her with water.

Frost laughed as Blitz splashed her. It felt good. She watched as he ran up to the bank, shook his pelt, and got back in. She was really starting to grow on this varg.
"It's quite alright," Frostpool said. She laughed and replied to his question,"I'm very good. I've lived out these days very happily. And you?" Frost remembered that he had said something about Koran, but she figured she'd ask him later.

The mann was glad to have met a new friend and wagged his tail rappidly, "Oh, well that is great! Me?" Blitz said thinking about being a kerl and his life as a cub beyond the forest, "Well, its fine. Could be better" Blitz laughed, he loved to remember playing with his other siblings near the gathering rock.
Blitzen had playfull barked at his brother nibbling his ear as Blitz pushed him off, I bet you can't beat me! He said running away into the darkness of his imagination.
Blitzen shook his coat and let out a big streatch, then a dragonfly had landed on his nose. BLitzen yipped and it flew off, as he jumped up snapping his jaws to it. Missing unfortunatly, but again Blitz didn't mind, it was all for fun and the joy of it.

Frost laughed at Blitz as he yipped at the dragonfly that landed on his nose. Frost felt joy that she had made a new friend. Blitz, even though he was merely a pup, was growing strongly on Frost. It reminded her of how moss grows on the northern side of most trees.
Frost laughed and bounded further and further downstream. The current started to get stronger, and she yelled for Blitz to stay back, but the river water overtook her and she went under. She started inhaling water and one thought struck her: I'm going to die! This thought freaked her out and she managed to thrust her head above water and spit it out. She gagged and took a breath before she went back under.
This was sort of pitiful, for one she was an ok swimmer, and two, the river wasn't that deep. Or at least, it wasn't where she was. She knew that if she didn't get out of this trecherous current soon, she would be swept to the deeper area of the river and she would most definitely drown. Her fear was probably rolling off of her in great waves, and she hoped this would make Blitz stay where he was.
She knew this would be stupid. Taking herself and a mere cub out into the strongest part of the river would have bad consequences. As long as Blitz stayed in shallow water and didn't get swept away by the current, she wouldn't care what happened to herself.
Frost stuck her head up and shouted to Blitz to get on the banks. Just to instill some reassurance in him, she yelled that she would be fine and she would try to get out herself. But it probably sounded like, "Ish besh fine gurgle gurgle gurgle gurgle gest oush myshelgurgle". Frost's head went under and she stopped fighting and followed the current to wherever it was trying to take her.

All seemed fine, a good day under Fernis actually. It then all turned when Blitz went to see Frost suddenly be taken away by the river with gasps, gulps, and yelps. "Frost!!" He yelled. She was telling him something, but water over-took her breath and when she talked water would spill in. Blitz quickly scanned the bank, He had a fair Idea, it needed to be fast!
He jumped on the shore and chased Frost down with the stream, yelling her name, "Don't give up Frost, dont give up!" He looked ahead to see where the current was taking her, before her about ten strides was a little bank where the river could drop her off, but-... After that rocks struck up from the water, rapids came after that. "Frost! Frost, can you hear me!?" He yelled. "Don't waist your energy! Wait till the river pulls you closer to the bank ahead! Then use your strength to get to shore!" Blitz yelled, he didn't dare tell her what came after that little, bank Blitz put all his faith into.
His heart sank, he hoped despiratly that she heard him seeing her talking, but not making out what she could be saying. Please, he thought, please...dont let this happen to my friend. He still ran with her, all of the thought made his feet speed up to catch up, running on the shore line against the river.

Frost barely heard what Blitz was saying, but she did understand what he was trying to say. She looked ahead of her and saw that there was indeed a little bank for her to climb up on. But, she missed the rocks that were soon after the bank.
She couged and spluttered the mucky river water, but she knew that she'd rather swallow river water than never to swallow water again. She stopped kicking and fighting the water and let the current carry her. She neared the bank and prepared to climb on shore.
She stuck her front paws out and dug her claws into the damp earth. She pulled with all of her might and finally she got her back legs on the ground. Her body teetered dangerously, and then she collapsed from exhaustion. She panted heavily, and waited for Blitz to come.
She looked ahead of her, and she realized how much danger she really was in. There were rocks ahead of her, and they were big and pointy. She breathed a sigh of relief and closed her eyes. They felt as heavy as the rocks probably were.

Pannic struck Blitz, and hard too. He looked over to see Frost still panicking. He wondered if she heard him even, then he saw he body relax as the river took her. Blitzen Sighed in relief, she listened! However, could she make it to the bank okay? The bank was nearing and so were the rocks, Blitz tried to keep up with the currents but he was still far behind her. A little up-break in hill was ahead and she disapeared along with it, he could not see whether she had made it or not.
The mann bit his toung as he reached sight of the bank over the little hill, almost scared to look he bacame eager and ran as fast as his legs could take him. He was tired from the sun already, but he didn't try to take it that way. He finally reached the hill and with a great weight lifted off of his sholders he saw Frost lying on the bank next to the water. "FROST!" He said so much glad to see her, and glad that he didn't loose her.
Once Blitz reached her he noticed that her eyes were closed and she looked as if she were dead, his heart sunk. Then Frost's rib cage gentaly went up and down, a sign of well breathing after gulping all of that water. She looked tired, Blitz didn't blame her. She needed to rest, and he walked over to her and layed next to her. Blitz took in a deep breath then yawned, his eyes closed heavily too. In his mind he looked back, he felt doubt in saving Frost, but he did it. He helped her, it was a new feeling to Blitz, he never had felt of any use in his home pack. He felt inportant now, and glad to be Frost's friend. He smiled and drifted into sleep.

Frost didn't open her eyes as she heard Blitz yell her name and thencome over. But soon, she heard the sounds of him resting. She didn't want to bother him, so she stayed where she was. She knew she should rest, but she now had adrenaline pumping through her veins, so she had to get up.
Her muscles quivered and screamed in pain, but she ignored it. She looked at Blitz, and she could tell that he was tired. She leaned down and licked his muzzle as a sign of affection. She felt a connection to him now, but she thought of it as gratitude for him. Deep inside her, she knew what it really was. But, she hadn't connected with that part of her innerself yet.
She walked to the edge of the forest and started pacing. She knew that soon her muscles would give out and she would collapse, but right now she didn't care. She smiled to herself and let herself pass out. She knew it was better this way.

Fernis fadded in the sky, Blitz didn't wittness this but woke up soon when the day was pretty far into the setting West. He backed up onto his haunches and stretched back with a long ease. What just happend? BLitz thought looking around, he had just forgetten all of what recently happend that day, like it was a dream. Then he snapped back into reality. Frost got caught in the river today, Frost? He thought seeing the place in the sand where she had last been. It startled him.
"Frost?...." He quietly said. Walking around, after not only a few seconds he found her passed out on the ground. Blitzen noticed much footprints in the eath, going back and fourth, like she was pacing. He smiled looking down at her. "Frost, you sure are a funny one." He said quietly, not trying to wake her up.
He looked around, he smelt a Lera nearby, he could scence it right after he noticed his stomach growling at him for some food. The you pup walked over to a tree it seemed to be in. Like a pup he quietly whined at it. Then looked back at Frost, the young, pretty pup laying there. He had decided to make a quick little hunt before she would awaken next. Blitz sped off into the woods with his tong hanging out of his jowls.
About an hour later, he came back with a small lemming in his mouth, peering over to the young Fae and bring it over to her. Carfully he nudged it over.

Frost awoke to Blitz pushing a lemming to her. She smiled and gratefully accepted it. But, realizing that Blitz must be hungry, she ripped it in half and threw the other half at Blitz playfully. She smiled and ripped into the food hungrily.
After her quick nap, her muscles didn't hurt so much. But, now that the adrenaline was gone, she needed energy. She smiled savagely as the warm blood trickled into her mouth. She hated for Blitz to see her this way, but she knew he understood.
Again, that strange feeling was tugging away at her mind, but she again took it as gratitude towards Blitz. She didn't want to know what she really was feeling for him, even though she knew it was true. But, of course, this was the inner layer of Frost. The outer layer had absolutely no idea that her feelings were deeper than gratitude towards Blitz.
