As Lykos walked toward the mountains he spotted a varg running up the mountains Lykos couldn't get a good look at the varg but it didn't look like any kerl he's ever seen. Soon more wolves were running up the mountain which Lykos immediately knew meant that they were a pack.
Lykos ran toward the mountain hoping to join the pack. As he came to the edge of the woods he spotted a rabbit right in front of him it was stunned and didn't know what to do so it didn't move at all. Lykos had an idea, if he killed the rabbit and gave it to the pack he would have a better chance of getting in. He ran straight toward the rabbit and grabbed it by its neck and bit down having blood ooze from the now lifeless body, and Lykos knew that he got lucky this time.
As Lykos ran up the hill the pack stopped and what looked to be the dragga and drappa turned and snarled at him, Lykos stopped in his tracks and tossed the rabbit in-front of the dragga. "I seek Tratto's Blessing and to also join your pack, please take my gift and decide."Lykos was never this close to the List Pack before, or if he was he never knew they were there. The List pack is very silent and Lykos has been looking for them for weeks.
(I'm not usually one for god moding like that...but I'll bite at least for a little while until Sudak and Gryffin decide to respond...)
The day had drug on drearily, and the ebony mann had gone off on his own that morning in search of breakfast. The trees had parted, creating illusionary shadows on the walls of the mountain, creating the image of the pack plodding and loping on when in reality it was only one mann. The ebony figure paused for a breif moment, sniffing the air that hung where he stood. The scents of List flew deep within his nostrils, the smell of robins and peckers dancing in the air, while the sounds of a hare's leap echoed in his ears. It was a pleasent day, almost one to make the young male grin.
A snap of a tree branch was made, thudding and loping paws heard in the distance. These were not the paws that normally graced Lists' boundaries and Orion knew it. For most of the pack was silent in their step; this intruder hardly knew what stealth meant it seemed. A growl echoed from the large ebon mann's throat, his teeth bared as the newcomer came into sight. He held with him a peace offering, tossing it forward and speaking to Orion as if he were the Dragga of the Shadowed pack of List. Orion merely cocked a brow at the youngster, stepping over the bloody heap at his paws and circling him menacingly.
Orion was not an adolescent any longer. He had grown into a fine young varg, muscled and tall. His gold tinged feathers on his feet and back line were the only other pigment his fur seemed to carry; a relic of his mother's bloodline. Eyes of the purest gold stung deep within the kerl's own, a menacing look. Orion held no position of power with List, but he wasn't afraid to make it seem otherwise to a lonesome kerl.
"Who are you?" His baritone voice rumbled, ivory fangs gleaming in the passing daylight. His voice was not only intimidating, but it was soft as well. He stood tall and proud in front of this newcomer, his shadow falling onto the trees lightly with each step he took. "What makes you think a kerl like you is worthy of joining a pack like List?" his voice was a deep savage growl; it would be wise to answer the brute quickly, and humbly lest a fight break out between the two...

Lykos looked at what he was sure of as the Dragga because of his strong and proud features although this varg did look quite young for a Dragga. He noticed how this so called Dragga looked a lot like himself although Lykos was a little smaller and more muscular then this varg but the biggest difference was their eyes, Lykos had sea-green eyes. As Lykos thought of the similarities between him and this wolf, the ebony male asked him a question. "I am Lykos" replied Lykos quickly because he knew that this might start a fight.
The dragga then asked him another question, a question that could get Lykos in the pack, so he choose his words very carefully "I am very strong and quick, I have great hunting and exploring skills and I will be loyal to the pack that is willing to accept me." Lykos said "I also know the life of a kerl so I know the harness of the wild and freedom of the wolf." added Lykos thinking that that added to his answer.
Orion merely watched the male with little interest. He circled the young varg, glowering at him as if on the seat of his chair, waiting for the right word to be uttered that would give him permission to rip at the intruder. A snort escaped his nostrils of ebony and soon after the varg had mentioned his name and his purpose, Orion moved away from him, his tail high in a domineering stance. This pup had no idea who he was dealing with; it was just his luck that Orion was in a good mood that day.
"Lykos huh?" He replied, his baritone vocals a mocking chuckle out of his muzzle. A sinister grin rose over his handsome features, and his brow remained cocked at the youngster. "Well now...doesn't that sound rehearsed..." He goated on, hearing the reasoning behind Lyko's visit. Oh sure, Orion had heard it all before. 'I'm strong and brave and Great in a pack!'; please...when it came down to it, none could really show their colors proudly.
"Well, who am I to say who is allowed and who isn't...That's not my decision." Slowly, the ebony mann began plodding off in the direction he had been going before being so rudely interrupted. "If you want acceptance...You'll need it from Sudak or Gryffin." He had gone a few paces forward, his paws a silent shadow on the ground before he turned to look at his copy a little further behind. "Well...are you coming Little Lykos?"

Lykos noticed that this varg's tail was raised but Lykos was ready for a fight he needed to even if the wolf could overpower him. His words were mocking Lykos which he was not used to when he meet other vargs in his traveling. The varg spoke once more ' rehearsed ' Lykos wasn't sure if that was sarcasm or just a normal statement. "I have met many vargs in my short time of traveling and have thought of joining a pack since I left my birth pack, and this pack appealed to me the most."replied Lykos thinking something was up.
Once more the ebony mann spoke and what he said surprised Lykos, "Are you not the Dragga of List?" asked Lykos with his brain trying to comprehend all of what was happening. Lykos was intelligent but for some reason he couldn't think right and there were a lot of questions that were unanswered. Lykos came up with a question that would stop the confusion "Who are Sudak and Gryffin are they the Dragga and Drappa and if so then why haven't you told me that you were not Dragga." asked Lykos a little angry at the big varg.
A coy grin spread across that ebony muzzle. Oh? Was he just understanding then? The brute of black merely paused until Lykos was slightly closer to him. His teeth were gleaming. His eyes were bright and sparkling, a remnant of his parted mother. He continued to look quizzically at the young intruder, more and more wondering what Sudak and Gryffin would do to the young lad.
"I'm sure you have...Many vargs live in the area and the surrounding... I know, I've met many of them too before I came home." He growled, his tail remaining high to the newcomer. Although he himself was not a high ranking mann of List, he was still of higher rank then Lykos and as such, treated the younger mann in a subordinate fashion. It wasn't to be cruel, though that may have been his initial intent, but it was to test the stability of the young black adolescent who thought himself worthy of joining List.
"I never said that I was...You assumed that. Assuming will get you killed if your not careful Little Lykos.." he growled again, moving forward through the trees, a silent black shadow with tinges of gold in his thick silky coat. Orion would give his name in due time. For now, it was unnecessary for Lykos to know his name, so the black prince of List would not give it out unless specifically asked. And even then, it would only be at Orion's discretion. For now, he continued to answer the younger Mann's curious questions, leading him deeper into List's territories, in the direction of the main meeting area near the den site. This would be the most likely area for Gryffin and Sudak to return to, so here is where he would be able to greet them. That, and he was on his way there anyway..
"Yes, Sudak and Gryffin are the Dragga and Drappa of List. You will need their approval to join in our ranks.." A split second after Orion uttered the word, he stopped and turned to the man, a snarl on his lips. "But don't think you can dare act insubordinate to me Little Lykos. As far as I'm concerned, you are trespassing in MY territory too, and I thoroughly outrank you...And believe me..I have no problem running a runt like you off if need be." the last statement was not only a threat it was a warning. Lykos would do well not to try anything foolish while in Orion's company...

After the varg spoke Lykos realized he had just been threatened but Lykos did not think much of his threat and decided to make a rude reply. "Assuming may get me killed but that has not happened yet, and I am no runt" said Lykos his piercing green eyes staring at Orion. Lykos, now knowing that this varg was not Dragga of the pack did not respect the wolf that much even though the wolf was more experienced and a little bigger then himself who was full grown. Lykos had a question though since he had addressed himself and this varg hadn't "May I ask your name varg." asked Lykos still waiting for the Dragga and Drappa to arrive.
Lykos was hoping to get into this pack because he has lived near it for a while and he was starting to get impatiant with all waiting he has been doing. "Do you perhaps know when Sudak and Gryffin will get here?" asked Lykos starting to think back to his past for some random reason. Lykos didn't know much about his past because of a head injury he got when he ran away from his birth pack. He did remember that another pack had attacked his pack when he was young, Lykos hit his head on a rock or maybe he was pushed he didn't know. Lykos got away though and has been a kerl ever since, he eaten rabbits and some fish he had killed to survive. He was a great hunter even as a pup he was able to hunt with ease.
The morning fog slowly began lifting over the rolling and jagged edges that were List. One unfamiliar with this territory would indeed have a troubled time navigating their way, and as such easily inherit the role of prey over predator. Ghostly visions could easily begin to haunt a varg in this mist, mind tricks, unexplained howls, all of which many a varg had succumbed to in these mountains. On this morning the ghostly form of Sudak stalked the borders of the Listern pack. Pad by pad he trailed his territories boundaries, senses fully attentive as would be needed in such an environment. Not many lera stirred with such a bank over the mountain tops, they had elected to slumber a bit longer, yearning for the sun to burn off this treacherous mist; a wise choice for the Dragga’s stomach turned with hunger.
All seemed to be well along the border besides for one upset before the completion of his patrol, a pad print not of a Listern varg, and by the way the print dragged through the mushy terra Sudak could tell it wasn’t one of high stature by any means. With a growl emitting from under his breath and his lips slowly quivering he began to pad after the trail. It didn’t take long before he caught the contrasted form of Lykos in the dense fog. Among him was Orion, the young mann whom he still hadn’t had much interaction with since his return. Sudak lowered his already masked, ivory form closer to the terra as his claws dug into the moistened floor. This intruder hadn’t bothered to ask tratto’s blessing before entering which was mistake number one, but Sudak would give him the benefit of a doubt.
Sudak nodded at Orion’s threat, he was completely justified to be as threatening as he was, if not more so. With the question of a name Sudak stalked into the scene from behind Lykos, his tall, built, ivory form slowly fading in from the mist. Even as he was close the gathered one would have trouble seeing his form against the lightly contrasted scene. His icy blue eyes were one of the only features that slightly stood out. A deep growl emitting from his maw was the first sign of Sudak’s presence as he entered.
”A name is of no importance to you!” barked the Dragga.
Sudak entered a circling manner around the ebon intruder, eyes not breaking but for a second to acknowledge Orion.
”What makes you think you can just wander into my territory without so much as a howl? Did you think you would get away with this so easily?” The ivory mann’s teeth bared at Lykos, his pink gums gleaming, saturated with the mist.
Lykos heard a growl coming from behind and slowly turned around as the varg began to speak. The varg was tall with a nice build, and a pure white coat but what Lykos noticed first on the wolf were his icy blue eyes which he was careful not to look directly into otherwise he might start a fight between him and this wolf which might cancel any chance Lykos had of getting into the pack. Judging by the way this varg spoke to him and by his body structure Lykos figured this must be the Dragga of List. 'His territory' thought Lykos this must be the dragga called Sudak. Lykos picked up the rabbit he was carrying since he talked to the black pelted varg, and gave it to the dragga while bowing his head. "You must be the dragga Sudak, I apoligize for not asking you for Tratto's blessing because I mistook this varg for the dragga of this pack so please take my gift, it is a fresh kill." replied Lykos to the dragga. "So now I ask for Tratto's Blessing and if you would be kind enough to allow me into your pack." finished Lykos in a deep fearless voice.
Silver paws flew over the dampened earth, leaving an almost invisible track of where she had once been. The fog cloaked her well as she made her way towards her packs meeting area. She had not been away long, in fact not at all. She had resided within the lesser known parts of the Listern Mountains and taking her rest in the cramped badger sets that littered the wooded area near the borders. Her mind had wandered over the overall happenings of te time since she returned to her home. How many varg had been lost to the wild and how many had, like her, disappeared from the lands of Transylvannia. Renn, her golden friend, had been one of those whom had just vanished with no warning. Another being Sora, the sharp tounged daughter of the Dragga and Drappa. Arias, son of List had gone to the packs allies to prove himself to his father. A tragic loss being her beloved Drathlic, lost to the rivers swell whilst defending his pack bravely. She would not forget him soon.
Her heart pined for the rugged mann whom had once roamed the lands as Beta. The one who had introduced her to the pack in the first place, he had stolen her heart and he kept it still, wherever he may be. Oh why did you leave me? The plea rang so loud within her mind as she ran forth through the slowly lightening mist, getting closer to her destination. Her thoughts then turned on when she had left him, he must have felt the same way. For a while, until he found love in Ge-Rads daughter Shayla. An image flashed into her brain, one of ebon hue with ears of golden. Fiory, she had not forgotten her either, just hidden within the recesses of her brain. The great Stargazing Drappa, one of kind heart and strong soul. How List will miss her.
Her pace had not slackened, in fact, the memory of the lost had spurred her on to greater speeds. Paws now seemed as though earth could not touch them as her form drew closer to the small congregation that now, vaguely, introduced their sounds to her ears. The last utterance was one from unknown yet the one before was unmistakingley of the ivory Dragga, Sudak. She slammed on the brakes. Strong muscles drawing her quickly to a stop just behind the ebon form of Orion. Golden orbs shot around the varg that stood before her, she kept down wind and just out of their sight as she studied them carefully. One was the great form of her Dragga, the other two were of ebon covering. One whom did not scent of Listern pack, instead reeked of the Kerl life. The other, marked with them of the stargazer confused her. Was this the ld Drappa that now stood before her? No. This was a male. Yet the markings were so familiar. She stood within the grasp of the curling mist, blending into their tones with such ease, pondering this varg before her.
Ah, such perfect timing his Dragga had. No sooner had Orion opened his thin muzzle did the ivory form of Sudak appear out of the mists. His words were gruff and harsh, as a Dragga's should be when confronting an intruder of his pack lands. A twitch in the wind was all the noise between Orion and Sudak, so to show respect as the ivory mann spoke Orion remained silent.
For a while, Orion merely listened in on the conversation between alpha and intruder, thinking back on a few other matters that had plagued him before. He wondered if the rest of the pack was anywhere nearby, or if he would even meet them all at all. He knew there were a few that he had not become acquainted to, yet he did not know where they might have been. His mind settled on the daughter of the alpha pair; Where had Aiyu gone? She seemed to disappear as of late, and his heart worried for her safety. The wind lightly shifted, and as the scents of the rolling mountains and sycamore pines flooded his nostrils, a new scent also wafted in as gently as a falling autumn leaf.
What was this new scent, he wondered, inhaling breath to catch it again. The rank of List was everywhere in the area so it was hard to judge whether or not it was friend or foe. Though after a moment or two, Orion decided it had to be one of the pack, being that it smelled of List more then an intruder's stink. What he also realized, was it was very close by. Golden hues looked round for a moment, before they turned towards Sudak and the intrusive Little Lykos.
"It is good to see you Dragga...I assume you can take care of Little Lykos on your own...I apologize for my leave, but there is something that is troubling me...Excuse me" And with that, Orion turned round to leave, a bow of his head given out of respect, though for Lykos it may have appeared to be the guillotine dropping on his chances in List, being alone with the Alpha Male. At any rate, Orion turned his attention away from the confrontation that did not require his attendance anda focused more on the strange scent that had wafted in. List? Well yes of course it was. Male? No...this one was Female. Aiyu? No, it was not as sweetly scented as she was, it was much different. Not as harsh as Gryffin, but with the same amount of strength. His ebony paws moved in silence toward the host of such a perfume, his tail half raised while his nostrils searched. Searching eyes, a sunshine gold hue glanced in a few suggesting directions, while ears swivelled to pick up any sound made.
As the ebony mann drew closer to the fae's hideaway, he stopped within a patch of sunlight to warm his fur. The golden rays pierced through the tree's canopy to flood the ebony mann's coat with warmth and light. His fur had a soft golden tinge to it, especially about his ears and the feathers upon the back of his legs. For a while, the brute paused, his eyes scanning the area for any sign of life, knowing full well that there was a varg besides him nearby.
"Hello? Care to show yourself, Shadow of the Mist?" His baritone vocals barked out quietly, as to not disturb Sudak and Lykos's conversation behind him. His curiosity peaked, wondering who would show their face. Wondering, who he would meet on this misty morning...
~+Forgotten Son to Bristol and Fiory+~+Nephew to the late Bila and Lyft+~+Brother to Denisha and Shatila+~+Returning to his Rightful Place in List+~
As Lykos watched the varg who's name he still did not know he smelled a new scent on the wind but didn't pay much attention to because everything around here smelled the same, the smell of List he thought. He couldn't help wondering if there was actually another varg watching him in the mountain mist, because every varg that he has met in the List so far have been silent which he justed noticed. Lykos was never really a silent kind of wolf, or at least not silent while he walked and ran, but he didn't talk that much. He could be very silent and was careful not to step on twigs when he moved around except when he started to think because he would sometimes zone out when nothing important was happening. He was a wolf that used strength and skill to do things not so much speed or silence, but then he wondered if that would cut it in the List pack so just in case he would be silent and stealthy when he was in the presence of a List member. If Lykos figured out that he would have to be silent then he would be silent for he was very adaptable because of his birth in the winter.
Silver muzzle parted slightly as the action seemed to cease slightly. The baritones of the males seemed to rumble to a cease after the Dragga Sudak had demanded to know information from this ebony Kerl. The other stayed silent. Golden eyes were stuck to that male, the one whom smelled so much like List, and looked so much like the lost stargazer whom had once ruled and kept order here. It was almost as though she was seeing double. Her mind raced, she had heard rumors about the death of Fiory, but rumors are not always correct. Her brain pondered the thoughts with much care and consideration of them assumptions.
She was careful not to stir any attention whilst doing so, though she could not help the change of the breeze which now wafted her scent towards the small group. She did not care much but she did not like to intrude on any situation that didn't need her. Sudak seemed to be handling this well, even this Fiory look-a-like seemed to have control over the situation. It was not long until one of them sensed her, her scent wafting to the nasal of Orion, who quickly and quietly excused himself to discover which of his packmates hid within the mist. On his way towards her, he paused within a patch of sunlight, causing the marjkings upon her pelt to confuse her more, this varg was definitely something to do with Fiory. Silent had never heard of any pup being born, or no one had ever told her. There was obviously a litter or two from the pair of Bristol and Fiory, but she had never heard of any tellings of these pups. Before she came to a conclusion, the mann seemed closer than ever. She stood just meters away in the thicker regions of the mist, his words met her auds and she stepped cautiously forth into a more visable position. The mist licked at her pelt as her paws drew her slightly out of their grasp, her golden hues meeting his own as she decided on the words to reply.
"Shadow of the Mist, I do not seem to be too shadowy now do I?" Her words came peppered with gentle humor as she glanced over at the nearby ebony and ivory. Silene reigned yet again between the two, her pause lengthened as she waited for his reply. Her golden hues still stuck upon the great ivory form of Sudak, before slowly closing as her head swung gently back towards the midnight mann that stood before her. She would not surrender her name so quickly, she would wait until he asked, her mind decided that quickly as she weighed up his body format and his size. A small curious growl rumbled within her throat as she gazed at him. Yes, a spitting image of Fiory. A story would be told from this, yet for now, she suffled her paws slightly as thoughts raced about in her head.
