The raw stench of blood was what really ached and gnawed at her senses the most, second came the dull throbbing pain in her side. Honestly did those mutts live for nothing then killing... well they lived with humans so why wouldn't they? A heavy sigh escaped a dull brown and deep red muzzle while tired violet eyes flickered here and there, where was she now? Not having a single idea her ears flicked back in discomfort, hoping silently that any she encountered would be a friend and nothing more.
A whimper, full of despair and pain, clawed it's way from her jaws and dissipated into the cool air and faded forever into the endless stream known as time. Time... the enemy of all and yet the helper of many.... time is what made pups grow and yet time is what makes wounds grow as well... rarely does an old wound heal with just time alone. Shaking nostalgia from her mind she quietly limped onward, ignoring the dripping blood trail she left behind.
It wasn't long before another wave of agony destroyed any thought process that had emerged from her brain, her vision swimming and the idea of a nap sounded so nice right now. Without a second thought the femme let out another sigh before finally letting her paws topple out from under her like they desired to and fell to the soft and warm dirt with a content but pain riddled sigh, eyes staring blankly ahead... unaware of her surroundings.

The midnight fae slowly rose from her nap on a beautiful spring day. It was a little warm for so early in the spring which worried the ebon she-varg, with her dark pelt she didn't do well in heat. A long yawn came across her maw, her ivory daggers glistening in the rays of Fenris. Her large paws stretched out in front of her slender bodice, digging her claws in the the warm ground. Her fluffy tail swished back and forth on a lazy day. She took in her lovely surroundings, she loved her new home in the Listern lands. Though she knew she was under close watch by the great Drappa, one mistake and she would be exiled. A sigh rose from her chest, Ayame knew she couldn't mess up, she had to prove her worth to the tri-hued Drappa. A slight breeze slowly ruffled her downy pelt, her muzzle lifted to the sky, her nostrils moving back and forth, making sure to take in every scent around her. Suddenly her ears perked, the scent sticky blood engulfed her senses.
"What is that, no herla have been seen around here lately" She lifted her muzzle again to take the strong scent in again "That's no herla blood, that's varg blood."
Nothing but panic showed in her fiery hues, she hoped that no members on pack had been injured. She immediately rose to her large paws, and charged in the direction of the scent of blood. She pounded the ground, running as fast as she could, her muscles rippling under the ebon pelt. She came to sudden stop, causing a dust cloud to surround her. Looking frantically around for anyone that might be hurt, then in the distance she spotted a young pup.
"What's that pup doing all the way up here?"
Ayame knew that it couldn't be the ivory mann and tri-hued fae's pups, they were still young but a little older than her. And no other pups had been born to the List pack that she knew of. She made her way to the pup, sniffing her, she was covered in thick red blood. Slowly her warm pink tongue started to lick some of the blood from the young pups pelt, trying to gently wake the wounded pup.
"What could have possible happened to cause so much blood? Please wake little, please don't give up."
She nudged the little one hoping the young she-varg would wake.

What? What was that.... someone was speaking to her now, though it was faint to her ears. Through the darkness of her own exhaustion the she wolf heard the word pup and a faint growl rose from her black lips "I... am no pup." she murmured tiredly, weakly as though like a dying herla her eyes opened and stared at the one adressing her.
For a split second in this time she forgot her wound and, somehow finding the strength within her tired bones, she forced herself back onto her paws and ignored the blood softly splattering the ground when she did. Tired violet eyes turned to the wolf who had found her and a curiousity entered her eyes, who was this wolf who had found her? Glace had been unsure of where she had wandered, he judgement and thoughts having been clouded by the pain of her wounds and soon she remembered. Curse those dogs, working for the humans like little slaves and then attacking wolves without remorse for their own actions, just as long as they got meat.
Snapping from her anger the she wolf turned her attention back to the other and sighed softly, ears flicking back before she spoke quietly "Who are you?"

The she-varg began to move slightly and a growl rose from her chest. The ebon fae decided to step back and wait. Her fiery orbs now filled with concern and wonder for the new found varg. Blood still seemed to be flowing, too much blood where Ayame was concerned. She still had never heard of or met this varg before, and to be in the mountainous Listern lands and hurt was never good. The injured she-varg, then slowly rose to her paws, and blood splattered everywhere. They looked like some kind of canine bites and scratches, but she couldn't be certain.
"My name is Ayame, you are in the great lands of List. Who are you and how did you end up here, and what has happened to you?"
The midnight fae knew that she was not part of List, and couldn't pick out the scent of any other pack. But she also knew she must be careful, you never knew when the enemy was lying at your feet. She watchd the injured varg closely for any sudden movement, she trusted no one except Sudak, she didn't even trust the trihued Drappa yet. She then let out a howl, alerting all List pack members, Ayame knew better than to handle this on her own right now, she would wait here watching the new varg, until others arrived.
//yeah, not my best, sorry//

The younger she wolf blinked slowly as the other, Ayame, let out her howl to call the rest of the pact. If the ebony fae had been expecting an attack or something in response from the howl it never came. Instead only tired violet orbs stared at her while triangular ears flicked softly at her questions. Slowly the she wolf settled on her haunches while trying to ignore the pain in her side, it wasn't that easy and soon she spoke "My name is Glace.... I was chased here by dogs.. how I lost them I don't know." she smiled ruefully for a few moments then leaned sideways a little as though losing her balance but soon caught herself. Growling a little the she wolf shook her head angrily, trying to keep herself from falling over.

The stream gurgled and burped, it's levels rising to compensate for the melting snow and ice. Gryffin lowered her head, lips breaking the water surface as she lapped up the ice cold refreshment. An obnoxious sound came to her senses. Gryffin lifted her head, crimson ears perking as she spotted the reason for such noise. The honking grew in intensity as the v shaped flock of geese soared overhead.
Gryffin watched quietly as they dissappeared into nothing more then a speck on the horizon. Giving a shake she started walking once more, turning her back to the slow flowing stream.
The day was quieter than usual, of course save the busy chattering of wildlife. Spring was in full fligh. Gryffin let out a low sigh as she took to her surroundings. The spring breeze shuffled the land and swept through the trees. Surprisingly it brought something unexpected to Gryffin. Eyes widdened as she sniffed again. The scent of coppery blood came to her senses. Tongue protruded to lick her nose so she could take a better wiff. It was truly the scent of blood, but it belonged to varg. A growl escaped Gryffin's lips as she made her way toward the scent, no sooner later did a high howl pierce the treetops sending a flock of crows high into the sky. Gryffin's body rose as she became alert. Paws worked to bring her toward the howl.
What she came upon grew to be a surprise. The tri hued femme gave a gruff bark as she came upon the scene. What she saw was the newest member Ayame and a small youngster that Gryffin knew nothing about. Though she came in time to hear the pup's explanation. "You mean the human village at the beginning of List's borders... It was more of a statement ten a question. Gryffin had remembered when she was a cub how children had come and taken her to their den. There the hunters and their dogs had chased List. But that would be another story for another day...
Gryffin growled. "Which mean you might have very well lead the dogs deeper into List's territory." Gryffin let out a huff, the pack could not afford an attack from the human village, not so early in the year. She contemplated for a few seconds to leave the cub here, she was what the dog's were looking for and after they had found their prey they would leave. A growl escaped her throat. Still she was too young to be left alone. Perhaps if she was a yearling that would have been a different story.
She looked to the cub, "Where's your pack?

Fenris’ hot bright rays baked down on the she-vargs ebon pelt, making her very uncomfortable. A sigh rose from her chest, a light breeze blew, and with if carried the bark of the tri hued Drappa. As Gryffin approached, Ayame bowed her head in respect, and then rose to let her fiery hues meet the emerald gaze of the Drappa. She could see the concern, yet annoyance on the strong tri hued fae’s face,
“Hello Gryffin. I came across this pup and thought it best to call for help.”
Ayame was desperately seeking the approval from the great Drappa of List; she wanted to prove to her that she was worthy to be part of List. Her gaze then returned to the bleeding she-varg she had found passed out from exhaustion. She still seemed very weak. Hearing Gryffin speak of the human village sent Ayames’ blood pumping, humans had never meant good. They had always seemed to hurt and destroy most vargs she had met along her travels as a kerl, Glace was no different. The dogs had injured her, and were probably still on the hunt.
The Drappa then asked the question the onyx fae was dying to know, where was this young pups pack, where had she wondered off from, why was she all alone. Ayame was on full alert, listening and sniffing for every sound or scent that might mean danger. This was now her pack, her family and her home; she would not sit by and go under attack from some mongrel dogs. A growl rose from her chest and her tail flickered back and forth with anger, ready to fight if she had to.

The injured femme flickered her gaze betweent he two wolves silently, ears lightly flicking at their words while her mind idealy wandered to places only known to her. Soon however she was brought back by the question of her pack and her ears flicked back, violet eyes narrowing slightly before she ground out in an annoyed voice "I don't have a pack." upon hearing the other's concern about the dogs she replied cooly "I lost the dogs a while back... their gone."

Cold emerald orbs searched the for any hidden secrets the cub might have held. Auburn tassel fickered as she began to scent the ground, the smell of coppery blood met her nostrils.
She turned to look at the ebon fae giving a small nod. "Very well" She supposed that Ayame wouldn't have been a wolf to have brought outsiders into the packlands. Gryffin contemplated on what could be done, she could simply just chase the cub away, but the dogs would be searching for their prize, and no doubt the cub with her injuries wouldnt be able to run very far... and would in the end lead the dogs back into List territory.
Gryffin let out a low growl. So this pup was an orphan? or was she a castaway, shunned by her own pack? Gryffin eyes her suspiciously. At the pups simple reply Gryffin scoffed "Don't be a fool, you might have lost them but they are forever searching, they will find you" Gryffin mumbled under her breath. After the dogs would find her then they would be even more excited to search out the potential pack.
Gryffin let her cold emerald eyes to bore into the injured pup, then turned to Ayame "Take her to the spare dens west of the main pack dens, she can rest there until she gets better" She let her pink tongue lick her chops slowly. If she let the cub stay hidden then the dogs would leave aswell. Gryffin turned to Ayame "Pick the cub up, and lets go... If you, pup, resist then we'll simply leave you at the door of the human dens.." Gryffin barked simply.
Letting the cub walk would only leave a stronger scent and blood trail. Her nose wiggled to take in any signs of oncoming mongrels before turning and focusing her eyes on the two wolves before her.

The ebon fae watched mindfully of her Drappa, making sure to follow her lead. She didn’t move a muscle; she just listened to what the tri hued fae had to say to the injured icy cub. The smell of blood engulfed her senses; the poor cub was still bleeding. A gentle breeze blew, ruffling the sleek midnight pelt of the fae, and she worried that the dogs would soon pick up the scent of the draining blood. A worried look entered her fiery hues; she feared that the dogs would come into List territory chasing her and her pack mates from dusk till dawn.
Ayame wondered where the young pup was from, and why she didn’t have a pack. It made her reminisce about her cub hood and how she lost her pack and family. She shook her head back and forth trying to force the thoughts from her mind. Her gaze returned to the tri hued Drappa, awaiting her instructions of what was to happen next.
As her Drappa spoke her auds perked to attention to make sure she heard everything that was barked, she was glad that she was willing to help the cub…at least for now. And with the command to take the pup by the scruff to the western den she was up and moving to get the cub, hoping she would not put of a fight she wanted her to survive, though she didn’t know how bad the wounds were due to all the blood that escaped the gashes in her blood stained pelt.
