Emerald green eyes shone with brilliance as she searched through the land. Silent paws helped her speed through the underbrush as she made her way through the mountainous territory. It was hardship, true, to live amongst such terrain but the List members thrived. The winter that was passing had proved to be kinder to them than last ones. And this year they did not lose as much weight as the previous ones either.
Gryffin lowered her head, eyes spotting a large pawprint embedded deep into the snow. Her nose scented it, blinking as she recognized the scent of a Balkar. Her mind flew back, in a whirlwind of nostalgia. Of her father, and his proud and benevoilent gaze. And how jealous she was when her father had taken her two brothers away, dissappearing off towards the Balkar lands, leaving her behind to stare at nothing more then a dream. She had begged her mother to allow her to become a balkar, Tried to follow her father many times too. Now a pup in the balkar lands you say. True it was dangerous and Gryffin knew it. Oh boy when her father found out she had been scolded to no end. Luckily, the First of the nighthunters had found her first. She reminded herself of Tamra, her uncle and First of the balkar.
She looked away from the print, she had promised to keep List in line with the Balkar. It was time for a change. No longer will List be regarded as the underfed pack. One day, all of translavannia will fear List once again. accomplish what leohlic and shatocwnn had once done.
Gryffin gazed at the tracks, noting them to be Zievs. He had joined their pack at the beginning of winter, though had hardly been around much. Though with the dissappeared o their Dragga, it seemed that the pack was more disfigured then ever. It was like a pyramid of cards, The alphas making up the base of the pyramid. with the base's breaking the rest of the pyramid falls. That was what had happened with List.
Frustration and anger swelled up in the tri hued fae's chest, It seemed she had always ended up being left behind by the ones she began to hold close. With a growl she moved on...

An ivory Dragga shuffled his paws as he made his trek back towards the Listern dens, coming from the borders where he had been wandering searching for the rest of his pack with no luck. Coming across the scent of an addition to the pack that he wasn't quite sure he approved of yet. The ivory mann's maw curling to a snarl and eyes squinting as a growl erupted slowly from deep within his throat. Stronger the scent got as he neared paw prints lain through tundra. His glassy orbs following the path that weaved it's way through the Listern forest. The mann had recently returned from a time away from the pack, observing them from afar. He let the young ones grow on their own after his initial guidance had been given and seeing the tracks of Ziev in List quirked Sudak's stomach. A mann he had overlooked in his lands. Quickly setting off following one paw print after the other the icy Dragga known as Sudak emerged from a low brush line to see the retreating form of his mate Gryffin. Judging by her poise she was not in the best of moods, as he had plenty of experience with her, he knew these poises well. Slowing to a pad he gave a low unsure bark to alert her to his presence and his return. The two had not reunited after his unexpected absence and Sudak was eager and nervous at the same time, unsure how she would respond to all that had thence happened.
//ummm wow I know it sucked but I promise they'll be better as they go.. wasn't sure where to take it.//

The skies began to form into a grey overcast, a dull and almost sorrowful site, the grey draping over the beautiful lands that the vargs inhabited, in a shadow of nothingmore then just land.
White mits sunk into the melting drifts of snow and emerald hues blinked ungraciously. Gryffin turned to the left, a surprised to see a white hare raised on its heels. Their eyes met for a flash, both lera transfixed in the other being. Gryffin almost lost her wits, the hare was scarcley plump at all but she had never expected to be able to encounter such prey randomly. She felt her muscles beginning to tense as she readied her lunge, but the hypnosis of the two lera broke and the hare sped away. Gryffin snarl and took off in a leap, that ended within a few hops, she knew she would never be able to catch the fleet footed rodent. Without another word a sharp bark piercered her crimson auds.
Gryffin spun on her heels, hackles raised as frustration set in. Only till now did she realize how hungry she was. It seemed that with the narrow slip of a meal had only made her hungrier.
"Who the hell has the-" Gryffin growled as she lurched around to see who it was that decided to show themselves at such circumstance.
Gryffin stopped, mid sentance as she realized who it was that had called to her. Silence, it was as if someone had froze the scene. But in an instant a rumble of growls spewed from Gryffin's throat, though they stuttered, not knowing how to react to the sudden appearence of the snowy mann.
Gryffins heart sunk, while she did still feel affections for the male, she had felt even more abandoned then ever, stranded in their mountain home. The pack must have felt the leaders roles dwindling and they themselves had dwindled. She did not know what to say, or how to say it. Insted she decided to turn her muzzle to the wind, her view aimed at the peak of the mountain ridges ahead. They seemed like the mountains you saw in a painting, small and unreachable, almost fantasylike. "What are you doing here?" Came her voice, drowned out easily by the spring breeze.
[not that great oh well]

The winged lera sprung from their perches with the outburst and spinning of Gryffin's tri-hued form. They took flight in a blink of an eye, speeding into the heavens and soaring through the Listern valleys. The agitation of his mate startled him for a moment for he hadn't expected quite an abrupt response to a simple bark of greeting. Sudak stepped back with his auds and tail spearing to attention.
"By Tor's...", stumbled the icy mann over his own words, cutting the phrase in mid sentence. The curse had slipped from his maw in the startling moment.
With the onset silence Sudak slowly brought a smile to his maw, his heart slowing to its normal life-giving rhythm. His tail began to slowly wag from side to side at the site of the Alpha. The fact that she had survived this time and appeared uninjured joyed the icy dragga. This pleasant time was short lived however. Gryffin erupted with a series of stuttering growls sending chills down the manns spine and wiping the smile from his maw. His tail shot to the side with uncertainty. Looking from side to side Sudak searched for an escape route in case she decided to retaliate for his time gone. He didn't want to fight her.
Gryffin's inquisition reached his auds and puzzled the mann. This was his home none the less and had nearly always been. He indeed hadn't really left the lands but more so watched from a distance.
"Why wouldn't I be here? This is our pack, our family!", The mann rose his tail once again and regained his posture.
"I never did leave the pack Gryffin", a short pause filled the air "or you"
Sudak padded towards her, still keeping his guard. The fae looked deeply hurt and this hurt the ivory mann. His muscles aching as he cautiously approached. A worried look was taking the place of the surprised expression on his maw.
"I never would have let anything happen to you or the cubs"
The mann was now merely a paw's length from his mate as he stood staring into her eyes. Trying to understand the pain she must be feeling, what she must have felt. He raised his paw, not loosing his eye contact, and gently placed his along side hers so they touched ever so gently.
[Sorry it's so late.. I'm catching back up on some lost posts]
