ooc- sorry X-/
The pounding in her ears was still racing against time, looking above her head at a small leak. Talar looked into the wet sheet of water, where is Ayasha? She thought then saw a black figure of hope just at that moment surge into the shelter. Talar moved over a bit for her to fit in as she dropped the leg next to Talar's. She gulped as Ayasha claimed they should go further on their way to the dens, floods could be bad, and if water seeped into a den, that would be worse though Talar said nothing of it assuming the Faes knew too much about it being worried.
Then as quick as she came, Ayasha left with the leg. She really didn't feel like leaving, but duties to the pack came and she turned around to Uskia and nodded hopefully. Picking up the rain and disappearing into the sheet of silver rain, not caring to stop she looked ahead to the small path where Ayasha had gone, had she lost her already? Well Talar didn't waist any time and darted through the rain, pelting her like needles as the wind picked up. I hope we are going the right way. She prayed queasily in her heard with assurance. Why did there just have to be rain now? On she went not looking back for Uskiya, her legs shook violently and she pulled and tore through the mud slowing her down. Perhaps this wasn't a good idea, anyways she took on not seeing Ayasha on the track she began to wonder if she was heading the right way, but it wasn't as if she could turn back.
The mud got thicker when she stopped under a not-so-good shelter just to take a breath and look back. She screwed up her nose as she sniffed the ground, "Well at least I'm on the right track." Talar claimed once again picking up the leg and headed off, he soaked pelt and muddied feet weighing her down. Ahead she swore she saw a black figure and called out a muffled, "Ayasha-" through the leg. The black fae wasn't moving quick and Talar looked down, her legs were halfway buried in mud trying to reach her belly. talar had never been her before though yet she knew she didn't want to be here at this time.
Pulling herself as best she could to reach Ayasha a ways ahead she looked on the edges of the forest for any partial solid grounds to rest, Talar was becoming terribly tired looking ahead wishing they were back at the dens so desperately.

Uskiya knew that this resting spot would only be momentary and that her daughter would head out into the rain once again. But it surprised her that Ayasha didn't even take a moment to rest but instead plunged out into the rain. Talar was quick to follow and it was then that the nurse of Ge-rad knew something bad would happen. It was this carelessness that had often gotten her into trouble before. But now she had to rescue the others.
She followed closely behind Talar, or at least as closely as the pounding rain and mud would allow. "Ayasha!" Uskiya called out as she followed the scent of her daughter. She had left the leg behind, knowing that they would be lucky to get one home to the pups. But sometimes life wouldn't allow luxurary. This was one of those times. It didn't take long for Uskiya to reach the other vargs, but unlike them she strayed away from the mud and skirted the pool that the two vargs were now in.
"I hope you both are all right. We need to find a large stick to pull you out with, and I'm afraid that the food for the pups will have to be forgotten. Unless you'd like to forfeit your lives instead." Uskiya didn't wait for a response but instead looked around for something they could use as leverage. Unfortunately the winter had been deadly to Ge-rad and sticks of large size were hard to find. Glancing back she inspected the mud. There was a point near Ayasha and a point near Talar that was dry and steady. She could try and pull them both out. But she still needed some sort of leverage.
"Of course! We can use the deer legs to help pull you both out." Uskiya looked back up to the sky but the rain still poured. The dry patches near the mud were quickly becoming wet and it was only a matter of time before they too sank. "Quickly, Talar. Can you move yourself at all?" Uskiya asked, coming closer to where Talar was.

[[[Super, super, super, sorry fer da 4month late post, and the shortness of it! :/ ]]] Uskiya was right, there was a shortage of sticks, and all over Talar was seemingly wondering where to somehow grab even a small branch in reach and be able to pull herself out. Then Uskiya suggested the deer legs. Brilliant! "Of course! I can try!" Talar tried eagerly to move her legs and even though the plasterd mud stick, she eventually got one foreleg free and onto solid ground while she tried to leage the rest of her body out of it. Yuck, now it is all over! She though as she pulled her last leg out after many attempts at getting out, the rain kept pouring which made the mud more, but more loose so it was easier to swim around in. Then she took a quick shake and darted to her leg that she had been previously carrying, only dropped a few feet back.
"Awashwa!-grab thwa stiwf!" She mumbled directly over the cold and wet deer leg in her mouth and hanging over the egde of a stable part of the ground. Yet the mud puddle was growing bigger, and quicker too. She closed her eyes bracing herself, please, please get out qick! What an adventure on your first few days in the pack!

Ayasha growled at herself for being so foolish. Since when did a wolf like her make such stupid decisions. She should've know that trying to out run the storm would only make things worse. But that didn't really matter anymore because now she had to find a way out. Luckily Uskiya and Talar were above the mud and even though Talar had fallen she was making her way out. As Talar made her way out Ayasha tried to position herself so that she could get out easily. As the she varg approached Ayasha threw her deer leg out from the mud onto solid ground in hopes of still taking it to her pups.
As she struggled to reach the deer leg in Talar's mouth Ayasha could feel herself sinking deeper. It had to be now or it would be never. She scraped at the mud with her paws trying to find some purchase but they just swept right through. It was beginning to feel hopeless but the young mother couldn't give up on her pups. She would have to get out. With one last effort she flung herself forward and latched onto the other end of the deer leg. Her lunge forward had caused her to be deeper in the mud but at least she had something to hold onto. "Pull!" Ayasha mumbled as she dug her legs into the mud.
//Sorry for the short post. But I figured I should get something up//

Talar could feel the desperate determination burning off of Ayasha, it was strong and hopeful. This was Talar's chance, she had to proove she'd get down and stuck in the mudd, do anything to help a packmate, because that is all she wanted all along, people to trust, and people to make her feel like she was where she belonged, Ayasha, I wont give up. Talar thought as she held the deer leg firmly in her mouth, if talar would start to glid into the mud, it would be up to Uskiya to help both of them. Then Talar felt a tug at the other end of the deer leg, and with one massive heave, Talar strained back, her claws tearing the rain-soaked ground, and she moved her feet constantly backward to try and prevent creating a mudhole of her own. Ayasha called Pull and it was on, them against nature. All of her efferts had been weared down from frist the long journey, then the hunt, now this and back home. She prayed she'd come back hopfulley nice and asleep.
Now wasn't the time for that, the puddle was growing bigger, back as Talar's eyes were closed shut, she knew Ayasha was working her way out, pulling her weight. She had faith in Ayasha, talar had only known her less than a day, but she'd do anything for those pups. thouse Talar however, slightly was starting backward, a good sign.

Uskiya watched from the edge of the mud hole. The day had gone from a successful hunt to this. It seemed almost unbelievable that this would've come from a rain storm in the lands of Ge-rad. But the important thing now was that her daughter was stuck in the mud and Talar was doing her best to get her out. Uskiya continued watching, barely breathing as the two struggled to get out. Uskiya knew that she herself couldn't get too close or her weight might sink her into the mud. Both Talar and Ayasha were lighter than Uskiya. Composition of muscles and weight placement were important here. Not that her inability made her feel any better for standing around. As she watched Uskiya noticed that Talar's footing was beginning to slide. The mud would soon begin to cover her paws and legs. Something needed to be done so that Talar wouldn't sink in with Ayasha.
Frantically Uskiya looked around for something that would help Talar. Off to the left was a flatter piece of bark that had flaked off in the winter and now lay bitter and hard in the pouring rain. Quickly Uskiya dashed to the piece of bark and gripping it in her mouth she slowly dragged it over to where Talar was. She set it down a few inches behind Talar. "Talar, step backwards onto this piece of bark. If you don't you may slip and fall in with Ayasha. The ground isn't solid enough to hold the both of you."
Uskiya stepped backwards and waited for Talar to step onto the piece of bark. Still feeling useless she looked around for something else that may help to get Ayasha out. Unfortunately there weren't any vines or anything to toss to Ayasha. The only thing they could use was the deer leg which Uskiya knew would only hold for so long. They were going against time and it began to seem that perhaps the gods didn't want them to win. Was this some strange form of punishment thrown upon the land of Ge-rad? Uskiya shook her head. That was foolish to think. Uskiya knew that it wasn't so simple as that.

Her own frusterated growl came lurking form her mouth as she tugged, still stepping back, they had to make it, or what else, just stay stuck here till the mud dries, no! Talar started to get frantic, and tired out. Then from behind she heard the voice of Uskiya, she couldn't pick out what she was communticating to her for Talar had been too hard concentrated on her delio. Scrambling, she knew that Uskiya must've done somthing miraculous, due to the hope in her voice, desperate but sure anything might work.
Then, stepping back once more Talar felt solid under her feet, a rough, and somewhat strong substance that seemed to flat across the mud like snowshoes on well... snow! Yes! Oh Tor, oh Uskiya! thanks for this blessing. who'd ever think bark!? Wonderful! Talar was too dazed from the work, that this was like finding water in a desert. And it was a nice weight off of Talar's shoulders, even though it was a bit slippery it extended Ayasha's chance of getting out, and Talar's chance of not getting too much further in. Then there was one last tug after about many more, the bark had set its place and Talar's footsteps backwards have been motivated quite far in a bound of minutes. And her soaked pelt was begining to shiver. Hope finally reached at the end of the back where Talar could feel wet, but completley solid ground, and at this point she slightly could know that Ayasha was almost out. One last tug, and she flew backwards, and then Talar knew she could let go, she couldn't pull anymore, the young Sikla's legs feeling like Jello, and each breath coming out moments too quickly, she laid down on a close patch of grass, this time making sure not to get into that terrain anymore. "Uskiya, thanks... thanks.." She panted between each breath, "I'm okay, is Ayasha? I think I just need to breathe for a moment, and I'll be there in a moment, to get to the pups..." Talar closed her eyes for a moment, the ripped up leg wouldn't seem to satisfying anymore, but it would have to do, in the scares lands. Talar then sat up, smiled. She truley felt already, she did belong here.

The thoughts that were running through Ayasha's head weren't that of the pups, or her mate or her pack and not even of her own life. Ayasha was thinking of when she ventured to the stone castle and lost her first love. This memory came out of nowhere and kind of surprised her. It wasn't that she was remembering him but she was thinking of the same sort of realization she came to when she watched him kill himself. That realization was what she was having now. Not of him but of life. All life has to come to an end and she had never questioned when that would be for her. Not that she questioned it now either. But the whole thing seemed so absurd.
Ayasha watched as Talar and Uskiya worked together to get a better hold so that they could drag Ayasha out. As Talar continue to pull Ayasha could feel herself slowly moving through the mud. Once Talar's paws were on the bark Ayasha launched herself forward and in an almost comical way they both flew from the mud. Ayasha tumbled a bit before coming to a halt and shaking her head as the world spun in front of her. Slowly when things stabalized she lifted her head and smiled at Talar. "Thank Tor you came on this hunt with us." Ayasha smiled and looked down to her pelt covered in mud. That feeling had gone but she hadn't stopped thinking about it. If all life had to die, then what could be said of the gods? Weren't they living? Weren't her deceased pack members living with the gods? She shook her head and stood on shaky paws.
"It seems foolish to bring the deer leg home now. But at the same time we went through all this for that stupid deer leg." Ayasha let out a laugh. If this wasn't some sort of humorous gesture on the part of nature she wasn't sure what would be. But it didn't matter now. It was time to head back, at least as soon as they were all ready to.

Ayasha was okay, and Talar's tired panting soon turned to a joyous laughter, laughter and stupid luck how they've just made it through a most thick mud, a most thrilling hunt, and each other. She liked this new land and she found hope in the two fae's around her, she liked that. "Thank Tor you came on this hunt with us." Talar looked to see it was Ayasha that said that, Talar smiled, about to say thanks, but that almost felt awkward in this situation, so talar just slightly bowed her head. Lied there for a moment, breathing. The deer leg looked almost as beaten as they did, Talar stood up, faintly shaking, and looked around as the last and final drops of rain settled on the surface of the muddy puddles. The slender rippled also, fading.
"Well, it would be more silly to come home to the pack, all muddy like this and have no deer leg to prove that we wern't just playin' around in the mud." Talar giggled. She shook her fur, trying to get the exas junk off. Wow, what a great impression! Her mind reeeled, but, then again she let it go for once. And flicked her tail, "Ready to go?" she said and scoped for another rout around the muddy banks. Her body suddenly rushed in a new, found energy, she thought she'd be whipped, but now. She just wanted to see the camp, and explore the world of Ge-Rad some other day. She juanted off, slowly, wanting Ayasha or Uskiya to take the lead, for still, she didn't know the way. Aww... sloppy but heartwarming! lol
