Just read it. Why settle for other peoples opinions when you can create your own. You shouldn't depend on whether someone says a book is good or bad to decide to read it. Make the choice on your own, have your own thoughts about it. And if you want to read The Sight and Fell again, read them again.

She was just asking for other people's opinions, Leif- nothing wrong with that. No need to be rude.
I've never read it myself, but I've heard from others it's rather good. Besides, it's good to get into something different once in a while instead of reading the same thing over and over again, not that there's anything wrong with that (I'm guilty of it myself). Another thing you could do is read the back to see if it's the kind of thing you're into. If you're short on money, why not rent it from the library?

Well sorry, it wasn't meant to be rude. I'm just saying to go out on a limb and try something new in a different way than you. And to not depend on other people for every bit of advice.

I have read evey book of DCD [except for alchemist of barbar) And well I really really love the sight and Fell, the telling pool was pretty good, but in firebringer, im not sure, to me it felt a little too.....well in the end he didnt seem like a hero to me, and wehn the little boy killed Sgorr for him, it really ruined the ending. So Im not sure what to think, it was a good book, but he could have done way better. Talar's opinion

Fire Bringer is almost as worthy as the Sight. I think that it is a great book, teaches great lessons of morale and trust, and really has a deep purpose to life and you get to really experience the lands of The Sight through the eyes of a Lera, which many find quite inciting. Overall, yes, I think you should get Fire Bringer. Also by reading it you get even more of a feel for DCD's craftsmanship throughout his lyrical verses and symbolism. I thought it was great. P.S. I too, have read every DCD book except for the alchemist one.... and shhhh, Talar. Try not to spoil it with the hole Sgorr thing.

Well, I read the sight before I read Firebringer. (I'm reading it and haven't finished it yet.) I feel that Firbringer and The Sight are echoes of each other. It seems to spoil The Sight, as it was wrote second and therefore, is the echo. But I read it first, so Firebringer was a disappointment to me. I have to drag myself through it because the plot seems the same, just with a different species. (and a lesser one, I might add) I dunno, I own it and I'm not impressed with it compared to The Sight.
