Okay, so I'm sorta newbie here on the sight. I've read old posts and found that I guess there was an old 'the sight' website...What happened and what was it like? I'm very curious.

Yes there was another TS, TS1 as us oldies like to call it. Some members got a little cocky and I want to say some admins didn't take enough action to correct the issue and proboards shut down the site one night without warning. Basically everything was lost and everybody was left in the dark to try and find the new TS when it was recovered. It was all because of a TOS (terms of service) violation. The reason why most of the admins are as strict as we are now. Don't want to see it happen again.

I never knew the exact reason it was deleted, I just know it somehow violated the new TOS. Some sort of obnoxious argumentation among members or something. But.. It was awesome. So amazingly awesome.

Nah not really. To be honest, it was -almost- just like this TS. Mostly, we (those from TS1) were all younger, posted more, and were a generally smaller, more tightly-knit group. I think that last one was why we like to look back on TS1 days - that was when the member list was in double digits and all of us 'TS veterans' were a lot closer, it seems, than the nearly 800 members today.
