YAY! XD *ponders asking her little brother if he remembers the pronunceation*
EDIT: OOOOKay, so for Zhentee we have the Tee part right, But aparently ZH is a very soft j sound.. but it kinda starts off with a z... so its like a zjjjjentee O.< does that make ANY sence?

That's the problem with all these fancy words as our names >.< I'm always the worst at pronouncing things, so most of you will say my name COMPLETELY differently from me. See I know that 'Cwen' should be pronounces 'K-when' because the meaning in Old English is 'Queen'. It jsut makes sense. However I always say it like 'S-when' (when as in 'when we go to the park' btw)
I always said Fiory like 'Fi-or-y', like fiery with an 'o' instead of an 'e' like some other folk here.
Zhentee was always 'Zen-tee', lol. It can never be said with a 'j', it's jsut too weird now!
Draeg I always say 'Dr-a-g' the 'a' being said how you say it in the alphabet. Arias? Hmm...I said his name 'Ar-ee-ass'...and I know the dude in RL and I think that's how he says it as well. Not seem him in a while mind you...
Oh oh!! How about Leohlic? That's like 'Leo-lick' but I always said it with a sort of 'h' sound...'Leo-hilick' it's hard to write it how you say it for folk to udnerstand >.<
Shatocwnn I say 'Sha-toe-sin' like Bila and Zeph say. And Bila is 'Bee-lah' to me, lol. But hey, everyone pronounces things their own way I guess...
*stops her looong post now*

Very good idea for a thread this! And I have stickied it, because I reckon this could be useful.
Ok some of my charries that people might have had (and still) have trouble saying. So whether I say them wrong or what, weeelllll that's just life ^^ But that's how I like to say them.
Lyft - 'Lift' basically, lol. It means 'air' or something in Old English (and it was ME that showed Cwen that Old English online dictionary! So missy, you should thank me for that *prods*).
Carcharoth - 'Car-car-roth'
Zukozu - 'Zoo-co-zoo'
Layl - 'Lay-l' jsut how it's spelt really, lol.
Emmm...I have a few other charries but I think I've forgotten them ack I can always return ^^

WOHO!! I got my good 'ol Aunty Lyft's name right... I always pronounced it that way but I liked it since it does have something to do with air. Lift, like what an airplane uses to fly... I'm a pilot also so this was soooo cool when I saw it Too bad Lyft is no longer with us IC that is
I wasn't sure how every one was pronouncing Fiory's name by the way you're posting but for the longest time and even after she corrected me I tend to say her name "Fire - EE" (like the fire in the bonfire) then (a long E like in Tea) That would have been a good pronunciation but she's not the ummm. Bila what was your title as drappa again??? whatever it was that would fit it perfectly

I play Renn, Amore and Vampa, though the only one that can be a bit hard to figure out how to pronounce is Amore.
Amore (A-mor-ray) ~ Spanish for love I think.
I always pronounced Draeg as Dr-air-g as I was taught that a and e together when they're not joined up makes an 'air' sound.

*sniffs* I forgive you Shato. Hmm, I just always said Zen-tea and Zef-er. lol, someone told me, can't remember who, says Draeg's name as drag. *thinks it was Lydair* I prnounce it the same as Cwen. *stares at everyone* FINE, it's Bee-lah. Jeezes. *pouts* I came up with another name that mightbutprobalyisn't hard to pronounce: Aiyu! I always say A-u. I got all of Tor's right I think; Fiory really needs to post here.

Wh00tness! My thread got stickied! Doesn't that make me feel special!
Anyways, I can see why people pronounce Yelae with a long "a" at the end rather than a long "e". Sometimes even I get the pronunciation wrong...But in my username I made the combined "AE" (I do not have the proper name for it) and that, I believe, makes an "ee" sound, like in the word Eek! I got that from The Golden Compass for the word daemon, pronounce as "demon."
But wow, I've been pronouncing a ton of people's names wrong...especially Sudak's...I always thought it was "Suh" not "Sue..."

Hmm, Draeg... I pronounce that "Dr-a-eg" like Cwen... with the long A. I say Leohlic "leoh-lic" just the way it's spelled... Wai~ I'm forgiven by Bila. x33 I say Zef-er for Zephyr, like BEE-LA. *nags* I would pronounce Aiyu as "I-you" as in "I LOVE YOU". Ai means love in Japanese, ne? Oh, I pronounced Ixy "Ix-ee" like "pixie" without the p. I know that Ixy and I both pronounced Kanis "can-is" like a soda can 'cause it sounded better than "c-anus" which everyone else around us said. AND LUFIAN. I pronounced it "loof-ian" Red Feb's other name, Kiora, was "key-ora." And I think that's it. ;;

Wish I could combine a and ae and don't you mean from the His Dark Materials Trilogy? The books are Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife & The Amber Spyglass.

Yes Shato got Aiyu's name right... It is pronounced like " Eye - You " Pretty much I prounounced everything in your last post the same was as you Shato, except for Kanis... I said it like "Cane - is " with a long s sound on the end not like the word is but like a hiss.
I still have a problem with Draeg's name but I prounounce it, most of the time, like " Dra ( A like in apple ) eg ( like the word egg ) That one get's my tongue twisted sometimes

Yay! i got Cwenies name pronunced correctly, and I knew tourniquet from an Evanescent song... rightfully called: touniquet (the song is in your siggy! i just realized that mintues after I typed this). XP I think Chalos Autumn needs to put his pronunciation up, I always say it like Ch-ah-los, kind of like cello, but spelled with an a and a ch instead of ce... I keep autumn the way it is, like fall autumn.
I also pronunce Draeg with the long a kind of like "D-rae-guh" Zephyr I got right, mostly because my friend used that name a lot. I'd tell you how to pronunce BT, but I think you can figure it out.
Ritsuka, I forgot about her, but I'm sure she'll be going through some changes soon anyway: "rit-sue-kah" I think that speaks for itself. But wow, lots of people have interesting names. Was Tamra pronunced similarly to Tamara without the a between m and r? "tam-rah" ?
