The sunlight was lazily drifting in through the treetops of the wonderful lands of Deor. Fenris' angry eye only pierced through some of the leaves, which were now thick since they had grown back into the places that they were in the year before. To a newcomer though, the leaves were a new feature, for one who hadn't been a member of this pack for long, she had never seen the trees in this glorious state. The wind ruffled them slightly, and the little cub that was finding her way along the pathways of the forest that she was now able to call home couldn't help but revel in the glory of her new surroundings. She'd been happy here for many suns now, and had only seen trouble enter the lands once, when she had been brought home somehow by a cannibal. She shuddered as she thought of that day, wondering if she'd ever have the misfortune to meet that horrid Mann again. She hoped most sincerely not.
Despite her love of adventuring, Koiji wasn't a trouble maker. Any trouble she'd gotten involved in was purely coincidental, she always tried to keep her nose clean, even if the going was tough. She was a sweet cub by nature, and wished for nothing more than peacefulness.
At least today, her love of exploring had taken her into the pack lands, and not away from them, as sometimes it had. She loved finding new things and meeting new vargs, and from what she had met of the pack, they were all wolves that she would get on with. She stopped and sat in the part of the woods that she now found herself in, and sat down. She thought for a moment of how many creatures she had actually met since she had moved to this area. Because originally she had come from the lands near the Valley of Kosov, and had traveled here after her birth pack had been attacked by a rebel pack. She may not have known much of the world then, but she knew enough to figure out that some wolves were not to be trusted.
Koiji yawned slowly, the heat of the mid afternoon was slowly getting to her, and she felt sleepy. She knew that the pack dens weren't too far away, but it was too nice to go there. so she stayed where she was, basking in the sunlight. Her head turned at a sound in the bushes behind her, looking back to see who it was she stared, her icy blue hues quickly trying to detect the movement. She thought nothing of it after a moment or so had passed, and then she turned her thoughts back to daydreaming. That was another of her hobbies, when she was older, she would have liked to be a story teller, she could've had some fun there. But she was set on becoming a scout like her adopted mum Silve, and she hoped that when the time came and she was old enough to work, she would be allowed to protect the land she loved.

From where Delilah sat, she felt like she could see everything in the lands of Deor. See the trees continue for feet after feet, yard after yards. See the dens were her pack-mates slept; see her alpha's dens; see the clearing spread around her, a place where the pack conversed in soft conversation. She could see the leaves from the trees, high up above, blocking some of the piercing light of Fenris from touching to forest floor, the ground where Deorians paws stepped for years. If she had been on the edge of Deor, she might have seen the dark area of the woods or perhaps the sparkling wonder of the river. Places she had never been. However, she was on the edge of the clearing in her home, Deor, and had yet to see the world out it. It would be a journey, though, when she did, and she could marvel in sights and smells and just feel free. Like she had felt in many of her dreams.
But today, right now, was not a dream. Not with the eye of Fenris so high up in the sky, not with the heat striking her ebony pelt. It was too real to be a dream. And far too bright, she decided with a swing of her puppy-like head, for all her dreams had been centered around a Darkness for some time now. A Darkness that lurked in the trees around her, watching her every move, stalking her.... When she'd told Ryu, her ivory brother, about it he had said that her imagination was just running wild. Perhaps he was right. But these dream of Darkness of just that, of Darkness and Delilah was sure that her mind-- subconscious or conscious-- could come up with this kind of Evil.
Pulling her head out of the clouds (so to speak), Delilah shook her head sharply to clear her thoughts and scanned the area around her. Her icy blue orbs spotted a figure not too far away. Cocking her head to the side, she rose to her paws, studying the ivory varg before her. Ryu? her mind thought first, but this couldn't be him. His fur was more of a cream hue and he did not have a reddish tint to his tail, but who then? The ivory varg was snow-white and unfamiliar to Delilah. The new member of Deor then? Excitement and curiosity surged through Delilah's veins and she bounded forward. Stopping a foot behind the varg, she cocked her head, remaining as silent as possible, only vaguely aware that her ebony-ivory mixed coat was giving her away.

The peacefulness of her surroundings put Koiji at ease. Deor certainly was a great place to live, what with all the wonderful sights and sounds to be seen and heard. It was no wonder that the cub was so happy. She was also unaware of the presence of another about her age. She knew that there were other cubs in Deor, but she hadn't had the fortune to come across them yet. She knew that pretty much all of the cubs that were in Deor (apart from herself) had been born into the pack, and that kind of made her feel like an odd ball. She looked about the glade she found herself in, a relaxed and content expression on her litte maw. She fancied, much like Delilah, who was making her way up behind her, she could see much of the land that she could call her home.
She watched as a little butterfly soared past her, it's wings with patterns that looked as if they had been painted onto them. The cub wanted to chase it, to see if it would let itself be caught, but something told her not to. She didn't know that Delilah was making her way up behind her. Koiji panted slightly, the heat of the day was making her sleepy, and she didn't feel too much like wandering today, but she might. If she had a friend to do so with.
She was daydreaming about exploring the vast world that envelpeod the packlands, what lay in the land beyond the forest, and if her family members from her old pack might still be about. She'd once heard of a place called the sea, and her curious nature wanted to know what this magical sounding place really was. Koiji's curiousity often got the better of her, as sometimes from the past had showed. Meeting Genocide, and discovering that he was a cold killing cannibal, and running into Ayame that time hadn't proved that good either... She went to lick the scar she had sustained as a reminder of how she should hate the List pack. It was a strange marking, in the shape of a star. She gotten it when Ayame had thrown her down onto some very pointy rocks. Pulling her thoughts back to the present, she looked about her surroundings again. This time noticing the small ebony/ivory cub that had settled close by. "Oh hello!" She said wagging her tail. "I'm Koiji, and who are you?"
Sorry for the wait on this post, and it sucks too x3

//OOC: This thread is when Delilah is still, like, 8 or 10 months old. //
"Hiya!" she said with a lopsided grin, when the ivory pup about her age noticed her. Yes, this was someone she had never met, so a new member of Deor then. Vaguely, she remembered her pack-mates talking about a new member in hushed whispers, the one named Koiji, the adopted pup of Silve. And this was her. The new member. Smile staying in place, she commented, "Nice to meet ya, Koiji." She said the name again, frowned for a second, then the tilted smile reappeared with ease. "That's a pretty name ya got. Koiji." Rising from her sitting position, she padded a few steps close to this Koiji, hesitant, yet yearning to play with someone new. At Koiji's side she said pleasantly, "I'm Delilah of Deor. Daughter of Mist and Chayton." She puffed out her ivory chest in self-gratification.
"You're gonna like it here, Koiji," she continued with an easy grin, not having to fake her enjoyment at all. "I mean, if you haven't already figured that out." Frowning, she looked down at her paws, studying their mix-hued texture, thinking. She wanted so badly to play a game, instead of just sitting here doing nothing. Her pelt was twitching with anticipation, but she couldn't say it outright. Looking up, back at the white varg beside her, she smiled her easy smile that always came quick and said, "Everyone is nice here. It's much better then a lonely life as a kerl." She wrinkled her nose at the thought, remembering Nio and his snippy words.
"Not that I would know," she mumbled under her breath, almost to herself. After all, she had been born and raised in Deor and had only ventured out once. But from the way Nio spoke, she had inferred that a life as a kerl was a hard and lonely one.

//OOC;; Tis Okay, I'm making Koiji go grown up soon too ^_^ Sorry for the wait on this Btw, my activity lately has been sucky as you know x3 ///~ Koiji was pretty pleased to take into account that Delilah was happy to meet her, then again, she did get on with most Vargs, given the odd exception. Like that time she'd met Genocide. But that was in the past now. And just begging to be forgotten. She grinned brightly at the ebony/ivory cub beside her, she'd heard Mist tell her of her cubs at one point, Delilah, and Ryu she re-called, and immediately thought that this must be Delilah. Her grin extended as she carried on, it's always nice to be able to get new friends. "Nice to meet you too!" She said, the grin still firmly in place. "Why thanks, stranger, am I right in thinking you Delilah then?" She didn't need to wait for the reply, when the other cub introduced herself, Koiji knew. "Your name's cool! Delilah.. Say, could I call you Lilah?" She grinned at her, playing about with the words. She knew that there were a few cubs in Deor, but she hadn't met many of them, she also knew that they had all been born into Deor, and that kinda made her feel like an oddball.
Delilah's grin was making Koiji feel more and more relaxed, and her own was easily held in place, seeing as she felt excited to have someone of her own age as a friend. "Thanks Delilah," She says, the grin growing bigger if that's even possible. "I do, so far at any rate. I hope to stay here anyway, it's lovely here." Koiji's grin turned to a doggy sort of one; tongue lolling gently from the side of her maw. She could feel something in the air, like an wave of anticipation, and she couldn't help wondering if Delilah wanted to play. The cub felt a little hypo all of a sudden, wanting to move. When Delilah commented about a Kerl, she suddenly remembered, before she'd met Silve, she'd been thinking of herself as a Kerl. Although Silve had convinced her otherwise about her actually being one, Koiji remembered that time she was alone, it hadn't been good. "When I was wandering before I met Silve," She re-called, furrowing her brow a bit. "I thought of myself as a Kerl, but then I got adopted and well, look at me now!" A laugh rumbled it's way from her maw now, this sort of topic wasn't one that would normally get laughed at, but when Koiji thought about it, it seemed so ridiculous to her. And now she was glad she had Deor to belong to. She'd never be cut out for Kerl life.
She giggled again at Delilah's next comment, not that she'd meant to, but she followed it up with one of her own. "Silve once told me your only ever a Kerl if you consider yourself truly alone in the world, and for a while ago I did. I can't imagine why now, I'd only been on my own for about two weeks, and the feeling of loneliness you get is just... well, sorry I must be boring yo with that really..." She trailed off looking at her paws. When she felt it was a good time to lift her head again, she couldn't help herself asking something that had been sitting on her head for a while now. "Say, Lilah, you wanna play chase?" She asked and rose to her sooty paws. Shaking out the rest of her icy pelt. [/center] //Sorry again about the wait, and the utter lameness of this post =P

//OOC: Again, sorry for the wait. I didn't really think it would take me this long... but, it did, so sorry. =)
With her lopsided child-like grin still in place, the young Deorian-blooded faemme settled into an inpatient sit, her ebony tassel twitching constantly, her bi-hued paws kneading the soft earth beneath them, nails digging into the dark-brown soil. Anticipation bit at her belly and she was itching to run and play, like most normal pups her age would feel. However, in her eyes, running off and playing with a complete stranger could end up being dangerous and hectic. She'd learned that from experience as well as the knowledge of her father, Chayton. But, if Koiji was a member of Deor, was she a stranger? If she was part of her home, her family of Deorians, then she wouldn't be dangerous to play with. After all, it wasn't like Delilah was out in Kerl's lands; she was home. And this was Koiji's home too then? Delilah kept the grin on her face as she thought it through, deciding that yes, Koiji was welcome in her heart as a friend.
"I don't mind at all if you call me Lilah. I like that name," Delilah said, her eyes sparkling with the excitement that surged through her veins as she voiced her new nickname. "No one's ever called me Lilah before, but I like it. A lot." Delilah giggled childishly at the name. The nickname seemed to fit her, just like her real name did. Her hyper attitude circled around her name, fitting evenly into her little care-free life and the nickname Lilah fit into it too. The young faemme had never felt as happy as she did now, with a new friend before her. She hadn't been as happy when she had played with Ryu time and time again, nor when she talking to her parents Mist and Chayton. Her best friend had always been a male; did that alter her personality with a boyish attitude? Delilah had never met another young female her age, except for well, the one beside her.
Grin never moving, Delilah said with enthusiasm, "I'm glad you like it here Koiji. I like it here too. I never ever ever want to leave." Icy-blue lanterns shone with pleasure and excitement as she stared ahead. "I'm glad you found a home here, with Silve. She's a wonderful wolf, she is!" Though Delilah had never met the scout of Deor, Koiji's adopted mother, she had heard stories about her and her wonderful personality. From those that had talked about her, Delilah could see an amazing varg. Never had Delilah heard anyone speak badly of the silver faemme. "You're very lucky to have a mother like Silve. But of course, I guess I'm lucky to have Mist for a mother as well..." her voice trailed off her a moment, lingering into silence.
Koiji stared up into a little speech, talking about something Silve had said. Delilah tried to listen as well as she could, but her attention kept drifting, changing, as her eyes spotted tiny butterflies moving a few feet a way. Her paws yearned to pounce on them, but she had to stay still and silent, listening to her new friend. When Koiji had finished and asked her if she wanted to play chase, Delilah almost squealed with joy. "Yes yes!" she explained with happiness. "Let's play!" The bi-hued pup bounced to her paws, tassel swerving like a motor. "Although you weren't really boring me," she lied and then smiled again. "I just really want to play!"

I'm sooooooo sorry for the wait =( I hope the post gives you something to go on =3 Sorry it's short as well x3[/i]
Koiji smiled, she felt proud for coming up with a new nickname for someone. She had a feeling that her and Delilah were gonna be great friends. Her grape and white tassle swished, an feeling of excitement gripping at her stomach, she knew that Lilah wanted to play, and so did she, she loved a game of tag, but she didn't want to bore Delilah, seeing as being bored was so horrid. Koiji's grin grew as her new friend talked about what she knew of her mother. "Yup, Silve is one brilliant mother, I love her to bits!" She said, nodding her head as if it was the simplest of things. She knew that Silve wasn't her real mother, but her adopted one. She didn't care though. Since she'd lost her original one, the silver scout had been so nice and caring to her. She still missed her original mum at times, but it didn't seem too bad when Silve was around. The icy white fae nodded when her friend spoke of Mist. The cub knew the Drappa well, and agreed that any cub that was born into her family was lucky as heck. She grinned and said so. "Of course you're lucky to have Mist, she's wonderful!" Her tone was reasuring, the little doggy grin on her maw widening if that was possible."Whats it like being one of the Drappa's pups anyway? It must rather exciting?" She asked, curious to know what Lilah thought of it.
Koiji could tell that her friend wasn't following, and that her urge to play was probably effecting her concentration. But she didn't mind, the responce she got when she asked if she'd like to play with her was good enough. Koiji sprung up and took a playful postition, butt in the air, tail wagging, playful grin on her face. "It's alright if I was boring you, Lilah, I can understand why. I'm more used to talking to adults than pups like me," She admitted sheepishly, bouncing slightly and hoping that she wasn't putting Delilah off her in anyway. "Anyhoo, wanna play tag? Or how about Hide and Seek?" Koiji asked, the enthusiasiam in her little voice growing. She knew that a game was needed. Besides, they could always talk later.
She bounced playfully on her paws, her pink tounge lolling slightly as she waited for Delilah's responce. Koiji's grin seemed to never end, the icy cub was always smiling, no matter what the suituation. Well, not always, seeing as some suituations called for a more serious stance and tone, but most of the time, she was a happy, active, lively little fellow, always seen with some sort of happy bounce in her stride. "Hehe, tag!" She called as she playfully pawed her friend, she didn't know if it was tag that she wanted to play, but the game could easily turn into something else if needed. She sprung back, waiting for Lilah's responsive swipe back, her grin growing again. The cub hadn't been this happy in a while. A new friend, a new home, a new mum. Things were certainly looking up.
