New Skin ? Made by Kadin, as part of the Koran Updates. [Kadin @ 1. 26 . 07]
After being admitted into the Koran pack by Kai, Snowflame had decided to take the time to look around her pack's territory. Her pale grey pelt glistened in the setting sun, the last warming rays vanquished by the horizon. In its place came the half moon, its brightness making the youngster look eerie and ghost-like as she scoured the forest.
Her ice blue eyes studied the area, and in her mind she made a map of where everything was, so that she could familiarise herself with these new surroundings. Her muddy right paw snapped a twig, and she froze, alert. The ivory faemme glanced down and noticed the twig, and she cursed herself for her stupidity. Her maw stretched in a grin as it dawned on her that she was finally in a pack, and she was not alone. Her heart pounded as something snapped, but it was not her, but behind her. Her ears alert, she turned, and snarled menacingly, but her nose told her it was just a hare. Her stomach rumbled anxiously, and she felt the saliva in her mouth run.
Snowflame crouched low to the damp, moonlit forest floor, her paws moving steadily, but quietly. She spotted a little hare, sitting dead still in the brambles. She paused, noticing that its hole lay between itself and the fae. She licked her maw, the excitement of the hunt ebbing away at her. She paused, then as she got closer, she made her move.
Her muscles in her leg pumped with adreneline as she chased the fast hare through the trees, knowing that it was definately slow. Sure enough, it began to tire, and she pounced, hitting it hard to the ground, and bit eagerly into its small and tender neck. Blood oozed into her mouth, and her eyes held a deep menace. Drops of blood squirted onto the ground, and over her maw, but she did not care.
The fae ate some of the brownish coloured hare, before thrusting it away from her (not too far) and laying sleepily onto the ground. Maybe some other varg can enjoy a little hare thought Snowflame, and she raised her stained muzzle into the air and invited others to enjoy some Lera.

The sun was a welcoming warmth, since winter had ended the lands were starting to regain their green beauty though everything was still new and growing it was still a sign of warmer days to come. The nights were still chilled but when Fenris' rays graced the lands and heated them it was a real pleasure to just curl up on a heated rock and soak those rays up. That was exactly what the young lead hunter had decided to do, during the afternoon hours though he had then wandered off to meet some of his packmates.
Now he was heading back towards the heart of the pack to curl up in his den and relax for the night maybe make a hunting trip in the morning, do his job for his pack and ensure that the ones that were up and around had some food in them, a small sigh escaping his maw as he glanced at the sky a half moon started to rise and a small wind casted a scent towards him, then a sudden call, pushing his chocolate ears forward he wondered who the call was from, it was somewhat late in the night. Looking around the curiosity that still lingered in his system got the better of him and he trotted towards the sound, his eyes soon catching the source of the sound. Pushing through the bush and weaving through some tree's he soon stood not to far off, tail twitching lightly, he lowered his head a bit taking in her features making sure he wouldn't surprise her "Hello there" soft, soothing vocals echoed as he slowly approached more, though stopped a few good meters away and sat back on dusted grey haunches.
(I don't mind, and sorry for this: not on my top form today)
The fae turned round to face the young male, and she grinned in delight. Her light banner was wagging happily, and her blue eyes sparkled with the delight of having met a fellow pack member.
"Hello. My name is Snowflame. I'm new to Koran, and I am looking around the territory to get my bearings."
She raised her head proudly, and pointed her maw at the half-eaten hare. She tried not to sound cocky as she growled, " I have never really caught anything before. Usually I scavenge, because my family died before I was taught how to hunt..." she trailed off, absently licking a muddied paw.
She gazed around, then added quickly, " May I ask your name?" She sighed silently in relief, trying not to appear rude, and waited patiently for her fellow's response.

He nodded lightly listening to her, so she was a fellow member of Koran but new to the lands like he had been so long ago "It is a pleasure to meet you Snowflame" his soft soothing vocals drifted from his maw as he approached closer and sat not to far from her, his dark brown and grey pelt shining in the moonlight, nodding slightly "Not bad, hares can be tricky to catch unless you know what you're doing" he let his words be said in a friendly manner "I left my family at a young age, and pretty much grew up here in Koran learning all I could on my own and with the help of my fellow packmates" He smiled, as a gentle breeze blew past them "Of course how rude of me to forget, I am Takuto the lead hunter for Koran" he stood wagging his tail dipping his maw in a polite bow, looking back up he seemed to be in thought before speaking once again "Well seeing as you're new Snowflame...would you like some company wandering the lands? I could do my best at giving you a tour so to speak of our home here" he had learned the lands from the exploration he had done as a young cub perfecting his skills still, and would help any new member learn the layout it would be a lot easier for knowledgeable paws to accompany inexperienced ones "I promise I don't bite, but I do tend to talk" he smiled once more his chocolate eyes brightly shining with a new found energy.
Snowflame grinned in delight at Takuto's offer, and she bowed her head at him before growling happily, "Thank you. It would be better if I had somebody to show me around." She grinned happily, her eyes sparkling.
Her blood stained maw lowered as she licked a muddy paw, glancing every so now and again at Takuto. She thought of what he had said, that he was the lead hunter. Thinking of her new pack reminded her of her old pack, her family, and the horror of that day that changed her life. She shivered as she remembered seeing her dead family, their eyes gazing out and life less.
Snowflame decided to tell Takuto about her past. "My pack was murdered by the Balkar, and only my brother and myself managed to survive. Except..." she trailed off, absently gazing anywhere but Takuto. Her pale pelt reflected in the moonlight, and she sighed wearily before turning to Takuto.
"My brother and myself escaped to the mountains, but he got lost...and I tried to look for him but I couldn't find him, and that was the last I saw of him.".
Snowflame felt embarrased about revealing so much, and she knew it must show. She focused her attention on the ground, pretending to be looking at something.

He listened as she spoke to him, tail curling slightly at the tip and a light shudder ran down his back that breeze was a bit chilly still "No problem Snowflame, it would be my honor to show you the packlands" he felt a small sense of pride being able to help out another packmate in such a manner. Takuto listened to her story nodding slightly "I lived in the mountains with a small pack, I decided it was best I left them...." he trailed off "When I returned months later, just curious to see all who were left I discovered that my father had killed most of my immediate family my sister and mother" he scratched an ear, standing he trotted over and nudged her shoulder gently in a comforting manner "Though my cousin is still alive and lives in the Deor pack...I always wonder where my brother and three sisters that were alive had run off to" his sisters Lunar,Cricket and brother Curin had made a small appearance once or twice but then decided to leave again. He smiled sitting near her still in a friendly pose and manner hoping to help make her feel better and welcome, knowing sometimes it was hard for young ones to let memories go "Just remember that you're safe and have a wonderful family looking out for you now, and maybe one day you'll find your brother keep that bit of hope alive" he stretched out his front legs "Now lets get moving before it gets to late and we accidentally wake another member from their rest" wagging his tail he stood once more, his scared flank brushing past her before he turned "There is much to see"
The fae felt comforted by Takuto's words, and she knew that he knew how she felt. She gazed up at him, and her ice blue eyes studied his bold face, before she turned her head away and unsteadily got to her paws. Her pale pelt glistened, and she stretched, her muscles shuddering, and then yawned, showing her pinky tongue. She walked next to Takuto, and she said,
"How many pack members are there? I am just curious." she bent to examine a twig, before waiting for Takuto to lead the way, her banner raised high in excitment.
(ooc: sorry it is so short)

The yearling male thought for a moment and finally just shrugged "I've met few members, I'm not sure of an exact number though" he answered now thinking through the faces he'd past, faces his young eyes looked at and stored in memory "I know there is a fair amount of members here though, and some new faces I still have yet to meet" his tail twitching slightly as he started forward keeping a slow pace for the younger fae, his long legs could easily put him to far ahead of her and he didn't want that "But if you need anyone to come to your aid, well then you can call me I won't hesitate to rescue you" he grinned looking back "From anything, painful memories of the past, hunting duties, or vargs that are picking on you" he looked back ahead of him "I'm not just this packs lead hunter, I am a part of it's family as are you now and well...I look out for my family in anyway I can" he wagged his tail "Even took on a bear once...luckily my friend and I escaped with our lives" he figured conversation would fit here, since she was new, knew little of him and the lands it was a great way to get to know one another and their feelings towards packlife, Takuto's grey paws gently taking steps "So what have you seen so far Snowflame?" ((^^ it's fine Snowflame mines not much better sorry 'bout that))
The young fae trotted behind Takuto, waving her tail slightly. She gasped in surprise as he said that he had once taken on a bear, and at that moment, Snowflame thought him to be brave. She was glad to know that Koran was just like having a family, they looked out for each other. Her pale paws trudged the ground, her breathing coming in small pants, and she replied to Takuto's question,
"I have just been in the forest, but I know there is also a valley." she raised her maw to scent the air around her, Tor's light shining kindly down onto her. She kept pace with the older mann, but soon she began to get tired, and she started to lag behind, even though the mann was going slow for her. She stumbled, nearly falling, and had to hurry to make up lost ground. She narrowly dodged a rock sticking out of the ground, and she grtowled silently at herself to hurry.
She caught up with the mann and asked, "I am not too familiar with the alpha female, for Kai let me join, but may I ask what is her name?".

He smiled lightly hearing her gasp, tail wagging lightly "Horrid creature, but we came away with our lives and that's all that's important" he was a little happy to know such a thing was dangerous thing, then again he remembered that the bear was so much bigger then he had been. His tail flicked lightly as they walked soon her foot falls were slower then his and almost non-existent he stopped and turned to her, sitting down he stretched his shoulders lightly "We can rest for a moment if you'd like" he nodded at her comment looking towards the valley "There is, and the forest is vast and very comforting once you get to know it like I have, the valley is a place I've only visited a couple of times..." his eyes came back to look at the fae, his tail gently wagging as she asked of the Drappa, he went into thought for a moment "Ah well, back when I joined Tarkah was the drappa, and then...a few months after that was when Kai became the beta" he smiled lightly "The drappa's name is Phantom I have yet to formally meet her, but she seems fair" he twitched his tail lightly thinking of what he knew of the new Drappa "Have you meet many of Koran since you joined?" he lay down, cleaning a paw lightly before looking back up at her.
The fae lay down near Takuto, her bright eyes scanning around her curiously. Phantom. Her Drappa's name was Phantom. Snowflame growled in content as her paws appreciated the rest.
" I haven't really seen anybody so far, but hopefully I will see more of my fellow pack members. I hope I like them," she pondered thoughtfully, her pinky tongue licking her maw absently. Her pale maw lifted into the air slightly as she growled thoughtfully, " Have you met all of the other Koran members, or just a few?" She absently dug a little hole in the ground with her front paw, and pushed a little rock into the hole and pushed the soil back into the hole with her maw. She growled and stretched.

Sabla trotted lazily through her packlands, the sunlight dappled on her back, giving her spots on her rustic fur. She was an odd color for a timberwolf, having traces of the wolves far to the south of Transylvannia, a species that contended with great felines for the herla. She shook her coat, scratching an ear softly. It was a fabulous day, the snow melting with the new warmth of spring. Both Fenris and Zostar were competing, as they do every year, and were warming the earth with their fued.
Sticking her nose to the air, she followed a faint scent of fellow Koranians, wishing to socialize after her recent disappearance to her homeland. She had been away for some time and felt quite isolated, almost detached, without Tarmalo nearby.
Spotting the familiar form of the pack's lead hunter, Takuto, and a new face, she slowed her feet into a walk. With a smile and a soft bark to prevent scaring the two vargs, she approached them, her black-tipped tail wagging slightly.
"Do you mind if I join?" she asked Takuto with a smile, "And who is this fine new face?"
"I'm Sabla. Who are you?"
"Me?" he asked. "My name is Tarmalo, nice to meetch ya Sabla."
He nodded lightly tail twitching some "The other members are wonderful vargs...from who I've met so far so I'm sure you'll like them" he smirked lightly "And they like you in return...though I don't speak for any but myself" stretching out his silver and tanned legs, curling his back ones close to him tail still flicking gently "I know I've made some valuable friendships here, and do my best to honor the ones I keep" nodding once a new scent on the wind grabbed his attention from Snowflame for a moment, the familiar voice barking at them as the other fae approached "It's fine Sabla to join us, the more the merrier of course" he grinned the infamous Takuto smile, one ear down while the other remained up "This young fae here is Snowflame, our newer additions to the pack" he gave a polite bow to the packs 'Jester' absently curling his leg under his chest "It's wonderful to see you Sabla, the winter kept you away as well?"
Snowflame grinned at the fae, and wagged her pale grey tail happily. She bowed her head as Takuto introduced her to the fae, Sabla.
Snowflame immediately liked Sabla, and she eagerly said, "Hello!" she lowered her maw to lick one of her paws, then returned her gaze to the older fae. Though how older was a mystery to her. She grinned like an idiot, slightly nervous about meeting another Varg, but otherwise she was joyful.
" Takuto was showing me around the place." she growled happily. She padded over to the fae and tentatively scented the fae's scent, so as to familiarise herself with it. She padded back, and waited.

Sabla grinned down at the eager, bouncing ball of fur called Snowfire. Spring truly was here. New life was evident everywhere, even among the vargs of Koran. She found it quite odd that they had 'bowed' to her. Quite odd indeed. It made her feel very old. She shook that thought off, instead returning the favor by tilting her head up, showing her throat as a sign of trust and friendship.
"It's wonderful to see you Sabla, the winter kept you away as well?" Takuto lightly incquired.
Sabla nodded, scratching an ear, for she was a very informal and laid-back wolf. "Indeed. I actually had a.... rather lively trip," she joked. "I visited my homeland. It took longer than I thought it would. I've just been wandering around, looking for my Tarmalo, and thought I would visit." She grinned, tensing her legs slightly, feeling an urge to run down the hillside.
She gave a sideways glance at Takuto, at Snowfire, then nipped Snowfire's tail lightly, screaming, "You're it!!" and exploding down the hill, tail waving like a flag behind her. Sabla laughed heartily, turning to see behind her. Her long legs tangled together in her momentary distraction and she tripped, stumbling and rolling on the hill.
Slightly dizzy, Sabla laughed, picked herself up, and attempted to run. She fell over, laughing, still dizzy.
