It wasn't often that the weather reflect back one's own feelings, but on this Spring midmorning, there was no denying that the radiating sun wasn't mirroring the elation that was swelling within the breast of a certain dragga. It was with a sense of pure euphoria that he had found himself mere steps from the boundary of the pack he would soon come to cherish: Deor. The word had been throbbing through his anxious mind all day; though he had been accepted, he had yet to really set foot into the packlands, choosing instead to rendezvous slightly ahead of time with a pair of faes, Capella and Ryku. While the latter had been accepted before himself, and had already had time to make the acquaintance of several of the pack's older members, Daxton and Capella had made a pact of sorts to encounter Deor together- that way, neither of them would have to tackle the task by themselves. Apprehension was a warm tingle of sorts that had been warbling mentally all day; while saying that Dax was shy would be a flat-out fabrication, he thought himself a fool when it came to initial impressions, and he was about to create several of those. Still, Capella was a definite remedy for this; the femme produced a calming effect of sorts, though he hadn't failed to embarrass himself in front of her countless times, even in the relatively short time they had known each other. Yet, despite this brevity, he found himself being repeatedly drawn to her, and since Dax had parted her company a few suns ago, he had been nothing forward to nothing else but their reunion.
Her lovely features passed before his mind's eye and he grinned, wagging his tail furiously. The past few hours he had spent in an emotional limbo- would she even show up? Had she changed her mind?- but he had firmly told himself that she would do no such thing, and that she would found a way to tell him if she had decided to wait longer, or change packs altogether. Besides, they had both been accepted- in fact, they were sharing a rank- and he felt that they were friends enough to not desert each other, especially at such a crucial point in both their lives. Though a wolf doesn't have a certain way to tell time, they do have circadian clocks, and he was beginning to worry with the fact that it seemed a bit late. Where was she? He whined softly, ears pricking and his brow deeply creased. Anxiety was making him footloose; he sidestepped, moving away from the strong musk of the territory line, and then closer to it, bobbing back and forth like a bird. Perhaps she was having trouble finding him. That would make sense, he told himself quickly. Especially if the wind wasn't in her favor...Deor's scent is so strong, mine could be covered up. Hesitating only for a moment, Daxton lifted his silvery muzzle and let a howl slip from his lips, light tenor voice ricocheting through the forest.
The howl was meant for Capella, but he knew that Ryku might recognize it as well- she, too, was supposed to meet him here. Dax was excited for the two to meet, his favorite drappas. They were both on equal footing in his book, and while they were on opposite spectrums behavior and attitude-wise, his initiation into Deor would be all the better with the black-felted fae present. Feeling slightly relieved (and ascertained that one, if not both, faes would appear), Dax forced himself to settle down, nervous energy clouding everything else. Soon, he would be able to be productive- truly productive- because, as he was co-nurse with Capella and Mist would be bearing cubs soon, he would have a whole litter of cubs to interact with.

Capella the Loving Having parted ways several suns ago with the interesting young male, Capella found herself lost in a cloud of loneliness. It was strange that she had yet to recall such a feeling before, except after the loss of her young and previous mate. Now that she again found herself out of the company of others, she felt lost and empty. The lightly hued female had prided herself on her composure. She was calm and collected and rarely allowed herself to be anything but stern and collected, however, upon the meeting of Dax, she had felt the tough walls melt away and allowed herself to be more at ease around him. He had even drawn her so far from her shell as to engage him in a game of speed. She had not rough housed like that since she had been a youngster and found it refreshing. Although she would allow no other to see her in such a disheveled state, she knew deep down that Dax would not find her disgusting her coat was out of line.
What came to mind at the thought of his name was his startling eyes, intimidating at first, yet calming after you truly got to know him. He was something that allowed you to forget the troubles and always seemed to have a lighthearted air about him. She smiled softly, allowing her mind to drift back over the past few days as she weaved her way about trees, her path taking her in the direction of the distant boarder of Deor. Deor… The pack was to be her new home and she was thrilled at having learned of her acceptance and duty within the pack. She would be the pack Nurse, alongside Dax. Pups, she would be allowed to interact with the young of the pack. Her heart leapt. She would again get to see the trusting eyes of pups and hear their soft whimpers and whines for attention. What a joy it would be to be a part of their lives. For a moment she paused, a great sense of panic and anxiousness settling over her soul like a thick vale of mist. Would the pack truly accept her? True the leaders had granted her entrance, but would the other members welcome her? Would they enjoy her company? She found that the fear only grew as she neared the rendezvous site.
Such foolishness. She silently chided herself, hardening her gaze and forcing her legs to carry her faster. Though she had the distinct Deor scent to follow, she hadn’t needed to worry. Out of the silence of the forest arose a familiar tune, one that brought a soft smile to her lips and a twinkle in her eyes. Laughing, she set out in a easy run, closing the distance quickly. It was not difficult to locate him after the call, for she had not been to terribly far from him in the first place. Ahead she could make out his form and she realized suddenly, that she was approaching from behind. Falling into a soft, easy walk she approached silently, her steps cushioned by the newborn crash that was beginning to carpet the area. Smirking mischievously, she closed the distance in a few quick bounds, gently nipping at his shoulder as she glided by him. “I hope I’m not too late.”

Daxton had simply settled himself down to wait after his call and he was far more content than he had been just a few short moments ago; he did not doubt that he would soon be joined by delightful company (and, happily, he was correct). Lifting his head up, he allowed his lids to fall close over sparkling eyes, warmth bathing his skull; he knew that such a pleasant day was a luxury in the beginnings of Spring and he was one to live in the moment as best he could. Little did he know that the fae he had been hoping to see was mere yards behind him as he was doing so, and he was still ignorant of the fact until there was a rather simultaneous mix of air buffering his flank, a well-known voice in his ear, and a playful nip at his shoulder. His eyes snapped open, a blissful grin spilling across his blunt muzzle. “Capella!” He cried happily, scrambling to his paws and bounding after her. Laughing heartily (and with his lush tail wagging with a pent-up fury), Dax brushed his maw across her cheek, gently nipping at her ear. He pranced back and forth, energy finally spilling out, and while he would usually try and restrain himself in her presence, he had missed her. The price of her absence?: Daxton was now unintentionally being rather overwhelming. He quickly realized this, however, and stepped back, leaving a distance that could be regarded as 'comfortable' between them. “I missed you,” he began rather sheepishly, a sort of apology for his unreservedness. “I was afraid you had forgotten about me for a minute there.”
Ginger banner still wagging relentlessly, Daxton sat, one paw above the ground and twitching, as if trying to channel his enthusiasm into a repetitive motion. His blue eyes gleamed as they gazed at Capella, reflecting the silly grin that had commandeered his features. “I think it'll be okay, don't you? I mean, it's not often a pair of wolves get to share a rank like this. Mist must have liked us, at least a little bit. The cubs'll be here soon, don't you think? And then we can play with them. And when their eyes open, maybe we can watch them while Mist goes on a hunt, or something. I love them.” The words came out quickly, a jumble of phrases that were likely misidentified or misinterpreted, and he peered at Capella to see if there was a miscommunication of sorts, and he chuckled, flicking his tail about himself and lowering his paw. “Just so you're aware, a friend of mine should be meeting us here as well; she's been in Deor for a while already and knows her way around. Her name's Ryku; I think the two of you will get along.” Or, so he hoped. He had known that introducing them to each other might step on some toes, but it would be even more difficult being in a pack together if the two drappas disliked each other.
Daxton, you see, was not aware that either fae had any sort of feelings for him at all. He was rather dimwitted in that regard.

The black-pelted fae padded the territory of Deor her new home. Chalos had recently accepted her into the pack so she thought it was time to pad the pack lands. The golden on her right front ankle and back left ankle shimmered in Fenris’ light and jingled as her trot became as fast as a jog. Her limbs carried her over the land swiftly as her pink tongue lolled out of her maw. Her amber hues searched the area of other varg hoping to run into another Deor member she had not yet meant. The ebon pelt clashed with the green of spring around the lands. The she-varg slowed down as sounds of rustling came from the east of Deor. Though she remembered Dax’s offer.
The fae padded in its direction thinking it was a member. Maybe Dax! She hadn’t seen Dax since they got caught in the horrid storm together. It felt like there was a disturbance in the air that lingered about. It made the ebony femme uncomfortable and sent her into a bolt. Her onyx fur rippled along her body and her muscles tensed up as she swerved around the labyrinth of forest in front of the varg. The femme had no idea why the sudden panic sent her into a bolt though she was almost scared of what lay ahead of her in the brush. What if it wasn’t a pack member but an intruder? What if it was a pack member? Questions like those filled the fae’s mind as she practically ran into a tree.
The fae had just meant Homicide who had trespassed into Deor by mistake. He was a cute cub and the fae adored him. They had slowly begun to get to know each other when she remembered Dax and his invitation. So she took her leave as the cub made his way out of the territory. The oddly colored varg reminded her of Koiji’s oddly colored tail. A frown creased over her black lips as the black-pelted she-varg strutted across the small clearing passing by the pack dens. Dakota had instructed her to scout the boarders and now that she was done she searched for the blue-eyed male. He had an interesting personality and made the ebony femme at ease. She remembered the playful pick-up line that he had given her. She snickered at the thought. Golden orbs watched the outline of the boarder her keen amber eyes dilated to catch every speack of light. Being a scout she was more aware of her surrondings.
A sly cunning smile spread widely upon the femme when she thought of what Dax had said to her about meeting him in Deor. Then her onyx ears picked up the sound of a strong howl of calling. The fae recognized the call and her smile widened. Her muscles carried her faster across the land than catching Dax’s scent crossed with another fae. Could this be the fae…? Capella the one Dax talked about meeting with. The ebon femme could only hope as she slowed her pace. Her amber eyes caught a blur from the side of the eyes socket. Turning her head she caught the sounds of varg conversing. A familiar voice rang through her ears. Dax! She padded toward the sound and hesitating at the trees in front of her she moved gracefully across the space between the three. A joyful smile crept upon her maw widely her tail wagging furiously. Her golden bangles jingled along the way. “Sorry if I’m late.” She said feeling just a bit of embarrassment. “I got caught up with a cub, Homicide.” She added looking back up to the other fae and smiled sweetly. “I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure of meeting you. I’m Ryku.” She said gesturing toward the ivory colored fae.

Capella the Loving Capella gave a shake of her head at the nip to her ear, golden eyes alight with joy as she stepped back, ready to confront him if he made a move towards her again. It was not out of hostility that she threw up her tail in a challenge to him. Instead of bearing her teeth, she grinned, ears flicked forwards. Her eyes followed him as he pranced to and fro, finding the display he was putting on to be unbelievably amusing. What had wound him up to such a state? She quickly dismissed the thought, deciding that it was merely his nature and found that his overjoyed display heart lifting. It was not a common thing to come across someone that was so pleased at her arrival. His words hurt her only slightly, brow furrowing. She was not one to abandon a friend. If she had changed her mind, she would have sought him out to tell him. She gave a slight snort, lifting her front leg to paw at him. “I missed you too. And you should know better. I would never forget about you. I promised I would be here.
She saw him settle a comfortable distance away, regretting the separation, but not allowing the disappointment to show. Instead, she smiled at his expression and the erratic movements of his tail. The mention of their rank only brought a bigger smile to her slender muzzle, her own tail swaying slightly behind her before settling gently on the ground. She had struggled for a moment to understand him, his words having been rushed out as though he were attempting to say everything in one single breath. She gave a slight nod, showing her agreement to his words. Indeed, she looked forwards to helping in the care of the pups. It didn’t matter if they were her’s or not. They were still a joy to be around and she would love them with all her heart. “I agree. I look forwards to the pups and being a part of their lives. I feel honored to have been given the rank and it’s even better that I get to share it with you.” Again he spoke, mentioning the upcoming arrival of a friend. A shiver of unease rippled through her body. Normally she felt little anxiety when meeting a new wolf, yet for some reason, the mention of his friend unsettled her.
”I am sure that we will get along perfectly. It’ll be nice to meet another member of Deor and one who already knows her way around. She can give us a tour. It seemed just as she finished her sentence, Ryku appeared. She gave a soft smile, but said nothing, allowing her to first greet Dax. She then spoke to Capella and she dipped her head in a polite greeting. “It is a pleasure to meet you. If Dax hasn’t already told you, I am Capella. And there is no need to worry. You weren’t late at all. I just arrived only moments before, myself.

Daxton chuckled, his trademark grin (in all of its inclusiveness, as per usual. What could he say; he was naturally happy) strewn across his boxy snout, though this was followed by a goodnatured whimper as Capella looked slightly miffed at his words. “I take it back!” He whined, lowering himself to the ground and shuffling in that manner until he was nearly underneath her, complete lack of seriousness trouncing his actions. With another rather guilt-tripping whine he gazed at Capella with seemingly doleful eyes and gave the underside of her muzzle a few hesitant licks before another smirk drew itself across his features and he rolled to his side and onto his willowy limbs. “Forgive me yet?” Dax chirped with a chuckle, padding ahead of Capella and gently flicking her nose with the tip of his tail. “I am glad you showed up, though; I'm afraid I got rather used to your presence and without you I was about as useful as that river you toppled into. I spent all my time moping around, you know. Depression, see. Still, there was no one around for me to embarrass myself in front of, so I suppose that was a perk of sorts.”
He felt the mood change swiftly to a more serious stain and, as usual, he gave the fae his complete attention, nodding first in response to her nod and then again to her words, though he flushed with the heat of bashfulness. “I think it's safe to say that we're in agreement about that one. I've never shared a rank with anyone before,” he added as an afterthought, though his tail thumped against the ground. As he was sharing this, he realized with a smile that there was a third scent on the wind, besides his and Capella's- and it was one he recognized. The onyx femme quickly transversed the space between the trio; the sound of her clinking bracelets a familiar (and happily so) sound and an apology dashing from her lips. Daxton stood, grinning (and emitting a bark of ”Ryku!”), and padded towards her, though he frowned at the random cub's name. “Homicide?” He wondered aloud. “What a pleasant name.” His words were obviously sarcastic, of course, though he quickly forgot and returned to properly greeting Ryku.
Tail flicking to and fro, he pawed playfully at her flank. “How've you been? Is Mist still with cubs?” With a grin, he turned to Capella, readying himself to introduce the two when introductions were suddenly made without him having to put any effort towards it at all. Standing between the two drappas with a wagging tail, he glanced back and forth between them, blue eyes flickering. Well, he told himself cheerfully. So far, so good. Despite this apparent goodness of their meeting, a little voice in the back of his mind was telling him to be careful; while he liked to think he knew something about femmes, he also knew that, in all honesty, what knowledge he believed he head was negligible at best. And so he sat down, the passive referee. “Perhaps we should have a little run-through of Deor soon? Ryku, would you mind taking us on a tour? I'm sure that Capella and I both would appreciate it.”

ooc: Ugh. I think I'm failing right now and I think I'm all out of order. XD I just post when I see there's a reply other then my own. -fails- Sorry if its annoying or confusing. Capella the Loving At Dax’s whimpers, Capella had turned her head away as though irritated with him, feathery tale flicking back and forth in jerky short movements, quiet like the way a cat might when agitated. However, it was easy to see within the golden gleam of her eyes what her true mood was. There was no anger there, no irritation. Instead, there was an unmistakable glow of happiness. She merely snorted at his words, flicking her nose in the area, but drew back slightly startled by the licks to her under jaw, but then leveled a serious stare on Dax’s face, before grinning back at him. She just couldn’t find it in her heart to feel any annoyance towards the male. His bright eyes and light hearted attitude lifted away any cloud of gloom that hung about her heart. As he spoke of his relief of her showing, she smiled slightly, trying to suppress the grin that threatened to spread across her narrow cream hued muzzle. The wind picked up momentarily, bringing a chill to the area where they had reclined. For a brief moment, the visible scar across her muzzle ached, reminding her that it was indeed, still there.
Her attention turned once again to Dax, suppressing another smile as he took on a state of bashfulness, though it was difficult to tell by merely glancing at him. It was after Ryku arrived and the introductions had been given that she felt a strange silence fall over the three, her golden eyes lowering slightly in thought as she attempted to think up some sort of topic for a conversation. Instead, Dax managed to start something himself, questioning to new female on Mist and the state she was in. The mention of pups reminded her of the joy that was awaiting her just across the border and she became suddenly anxious, wanting to get on the way. She said nothing, as he spoke to Ryku, allowing herself to settle back slightly to give proper space to both while remaining noticeable and in range for whatever words might drift her way.
Again, Dax took it upon himself to question the female, allowing Capella the ease of not having to be the one to speak. Indeed, she had no problems speaking to wolves she did not know, but felt it better that he do it since he had already had the chance of meeting Ryku prior to their meeting. As he brought up the suggestion of a tour, Capella’s heart soared. Shortly they would be within the borders of Deor and there would be no turning back. It was the beginning of her new life and one that she would no doubt enjoy. There was already a stationed pack that was already well settled in their pack lands. There was no threat of it falling apart, unless, Gods forbid, something terrible befell the land and stripped them of their resources. At the mention of her name, Capella merely nodded, showing that she did, in fact, agree and would dearly appreciate a tour.
It was only then that Capella, as she remained in her bubble of silence, that she allowed her mind to drift back to Ryku’s arrival. She had seen Dax’s excited greeting of the black female, though it did little to bother Capella. For all she knew, they were dear friends… And then her mind began to wander. Perhaps she was incorrect. Maybe there was something there that she wasn’t seeing. Peering closer at the two, she attempted to discern any signs that might state that they two were more than simple friends. There was a good possibility. If she recalled, Dax had known Ryku a tad longer then he had herself. Shaking her head, she tossed the thought away from her mind. It was silly to dwell on such feelings. Dax and her were friends and for the time being, that’s all they were. True, she had felt a strange connection with the male, enjoying his companionship and his almost adolescent behavior, but that didn’t mean she loved the male. Wanting to laugh, but knowing that she would appear foolish, she merely smiled, once again setting her attention back on the two wolves before her. “Indeed. I would appreciate a tour.

The she-wolf felt a little unsettled by Capella but shook it off quickly. A smile spread across her maw as she looked at Dax’s happy face. Ryku playfully nipped his ear and snickered at his remark about Homicide. Dax then started to talk about Mist and ask questions about her pups and her. The ebon fae’s amber eyes danced with joy as he smiled at the two femme. Fenris’s ray hit her bangles and reflected light making in bounce off into the sky. “If fine Dax and how have you two been?” she asked her voice gentle. She recalled the last time she had seen her. Her amber eyes flashed back between the two and she had heard the two conversing “And Mist hasn’t bared her pups but she’s getting there though.” earlier and gestures that they might be more than friends might be apparent. Ryku shook away the thought and why would she care anyway? She had just meant Dax she couldn’t be developing feelings for him, well strong feelings of love anyway. The golden-hued femme stayed away from the thought and turned back to her friends.
The black-pelted she-varg’s smile faded for a fraction of a second when a faint scent drifted off the edge or Deor. It was a strange scent but she ignored it and smiled back at the two. Capella had seemed unsettled by her own appearance but seemed to shrug it off quickly. Ryku had no problem getting along with others… usually. Though her and Capella had gotten along so far. Dax dropped the question about giving them a tour. The amber femme smiled sweetly. “I’d love to.” She answered and poked her head up. The scent had drifted back and it was her job to keep an eye out. She quickly searched the area behind her and saw nothing so bounded back toward Dax and Capella. “Sorry something has gotten me ever since I was with that cub but its nothing.” She smiled.
Ever since she was with Homicide she felt strange. Like there was something in the air that was wrong. Something was going to happen. Maybe Ryku was just being parodied but she just wanted to make sure it was just her. Nothing around her came as a threat so she turned to Dax for a moment smiled wider and started to walk. She moved with cunning grace. Slowing my pace I looked back at the two and smiled. “Are you two coming?” I asked teasingly. I knew Dax could take a joke but I didn’t know if Capella could or not so I waited there a moment staring back at the two with amber hues.

OOC: I'm so sorry it took so long, and that it's so short. I have another couple replies to do, and only a short span of time to do them in...I tried giving you guys at least something to work with. >.< After this week, school will lighten up a bit, promise.
Dax was beginning to feel a prickle of unease; the faes weren't really meshing as quickly as he had hoped, but it wasn't to be expected. Still, both himself and Capella would be trying their best to dovetail in with the remainder of Deor very soon, and while he couldn't read Capella's mind by any stretch of the imagination he was aware that she was likely feeling some anxiety toward the idea of meeting Deor's senior members- Dax was, definitely. What had previously a boundless, nervous energy had transformed into something more anxious; his cerulean eyes had begun to dart from femme to femme, and his ears were in a frenzy.
He chuckled and shoved her gently away with a playful paw as Ryku nipped at his ear, nodding before her had even began speaking. “I've been good- we've been looking forward to joining, haven't we, Capella?” He angled his gaze toward the silvery femme with a grin. “Though she did take a tumble into the river; if I hadn't of jumped in and saved her, who knows what would have happened.” His laugh had began before the sentence was complete and he winked at her; he hadn't even found her until she was already sopping wet, though the incident only increased his worry about her. Still sitting, Dax scooted himself backwards until he was within reach of Capella before he nipped her flank teasingly. “You seem much drier now, though.”
His gaze had only just reverted back to Ryku when he saw her face fall, and in response his own grin began to fade until the obsidian drappa seemed to regain her composure and agree to give them a sort of guided tour around their new packlands. Thumping his tail against the ground, Dax cocked his head, looking rather bemused as she suddenly stood up and began inspecting the immediate area around her before returning back before himself and Capella. “Something the matter?” he asked, glancing first towards Capella and then over Ryku's shoulder toward the bracken behind her. Despite his sudden suspicion the fae apologized and assured the duo that everything was fine, and so he merely shrugged, lifting himself to his paws as she began walking away, into Deor's depths. An excited gleam in his eye, he turned to Capella. “We're Deor wolves now,” he whispered to her, pressing his flank against hers. “Our new lives are about to begin.”
Ryku was some length ahead of them when she stopped, playfully questioning their willingness to follow. Dax snorted and upped his pace, ginger tail swinging behind him. “So, Ryku, where to first?” Slowing, he moved back into place beside Capella. Ryku may have known Deor's borders and internal layout, but the silver fae did not, and he wasn't about to leave her behind.

ooc: Short? What are you talking about? It was great. If you want to talk about short and crappy posts, look at mine. Ugh. I'm in a rush cause I have to get back to class. I have a test today, but I'm pretty ready for it. Its Mythology and I've aced all my tests so far in there. Capella the Loving The growing tension unsettled Capella, her fur bristling every so slightly along her slouders and spine. There was no need for the tension, but it was there none the less and she knew that half of it was because they were now teetering on the very borders of their home. The very idea still kept her head spinning. Just beyond the trees would be wolves---Deorian Wolves that would eventually come to know her and Dax and hopefully, though there was still a hint of fear in the back of her mind, they would accept them as family. She had recalled such a feeling when she had bounded off from her birth pack, allowing one final glance back towards her parents’ stricken faces. It was both fear and excitement. The fear that things might not turn out the way they are expected and the excitement of starting out on a whole new adventure. A new life. She was on the edge of beginning a new life and although the memory of her mate and pups still weighed heavily on her mind, she knew that this is exactly what they would have wanted for her. Finally, allowing a brief glance towards Dax and Ryku, she smiled, forcing whatever fear she felt out of her mind.
For the most part, as Ryku and Dax traded words, Capella remained silence, her gaze lingering the trees and imagining the pack that dwelled just out of sight. At their very first meeting, Capella has liked Mist almost instantly. She was a pleasant female, one who went out of her way to make others feel comfortable, despite the rank she held. She recalled the Leader’s sagging belly, heavy with young. Soon there would be new pups within the pack. What better time than to join then when new life was being brought in? She wanted to laugh, but instead, she surpressed the laughter and allowed a mere smile. Her was stirred from her thoughts when Dax’s voice cut in and she, embarrassed, nodded her head, unsure of exactly what he had said. As he continued, she focused her attention on the two, determined not to allow the conversation to slip her attention again. As he spoke of her fall into the river, the terrible memory flashed before her eyes, sending a shiver down her spine. Despite the unmatched fear that she had felt at that moment, she allowed a smile, her golden gaze meeting Dax’s own cerulean gaze. She saw his wink and wanted to scold him for making up such tall tales, but instead she laughed and gave a slight nod. “I do recall that the fall you claim that I had was because I was saying your hide. Not the other way around. She returned his wink with one of her own and allowed her feathery tail to slap against his haunch at his comment on her once damp coat.
Her own gaze followed Dax’s resting on Ryku as she rose and inspected the area. However, Dax voiced exactly what she had been thinking. Was there something that she had missed? Perhaps danger? She allowed a quick glance around the immediate area, but saw nothing to concern herself with. Instead, she rose, stretching ever so slightly and then moved along after Ryku and Dax. Again, he turned and spoke to her, her golden eyes, holding only a slight hint of anxiety, softening ever so slightly at his words. True. It was a beginning to a new life. A new pack. A new family. Her tail gave a few short sways as she fell into pace with Dax, her gaze flickering here and there as they traveled, attempting to take in everything and anything. She wanted to know her new home inside and out.

OOC: you wanna see a short post look at mine! i'm sorry its short and poor quality. Rushed The femme’s muzzle looked to the ground feeling the unease of the other her fur bristled slightly but kept her composer for she didn’t want to make the wrong impression on Capella. Her amber eyes then darted back up to the two varg and her smile widened as her eyes danced with excitement and yet there was a hint of… tension. It was a small spark in her golden orbs. It was the only hint that she was unsettled but she carefully kept it hidden. Her tail hit the ground. The black-pelted fae hoped that the members of Deor would welcome Dax and Capella with open arms. The femme thought of how happy Koiji would be. The ebon she-wolf knew she would be overjoyed to have new members in the pack. Koiji liked meeting new varg though something struck a chord in Ryku’s mind.
Ayame had told her that she had given Koiji a scar. “Well I’m glad you both decided to join.” Her voice was gentle and happy. At Dax’s remark then Capella correcting it Ryku snickered and shook her head at Dax. Recalling their last talk she smiled. “Dax I thought we agreed on no more lies?” she teased playfully. She sat on her haunches and smiled happily and bigger. Her right ear fell to the side and her left one stayed up in a rather comical sight. This was the femme’s intrigued face though it made Dax laughs the last time she had done this.
Ryku smiled happily at them and sat on her haunches while she waited for Capella and Dax to catch up. When they did Dax asked where to first. She pondered this for a moment. They could go to the pack dens so they can meet Chalos and see Mist again. Her amber eyes smiled though she couldn’t care where they went to first. “Well we could go to the clearing or the pack dens to see Mist and Chalos.” She said gently smiling. Her amber eyes danced as her ears stayed the same.

Daxton was now doing his best to soothe his body from acting on the unsettling feelings that had began to cloy the previously jovial atmosphere ; he knew that lurching to and fro and outwardly fighting his own mental tug-of-war would not help the situation and so he forced himself to root to one spot, eyeing the grass reproachfully and for not apparent reason. Still, if either fae was feeling the effects they were concealing it well behind broad smiles, a sight that caused Dax to exchange his own (albeit rather wayward) grin and wag his ginger tail. How foolish he had been to even suspect that there might be ill intentions from either femme. He was never really one to jump to rash conclusions, and the fact that he had thought so facetiously of either Capella or Ryku was enough to make him gaze remorsefully at either fae in turn. Still, he realized that neither of them possessed the power to read minds (or, so he had been lead to believe so far) and with a mental string of curses he quickly dropped his gaze back to his own paws, tail twitching in personal annoyance and his eyes hardening. Afraid one of them had caught his oddly embarrassed glances moments ago, he turned on them now with one that was far more shallow, and relatively vacant. Perhaps it would balance them out. Or, perhaps he was only being foolish again. And hungry. That would definitely explain his lack of...brainpower.
Dax knew that Capella wasn't naturally shy- she had immediately taken to his presence when they had originally met- and so he wasn't sure why she was being so quiet, and keeping to herself, despite his verbal prodding. And, so, he tilted his head in his direction, flashing her a look that spoke something along the lines of, You alright?, before his attention returned to Ryku. “Trust me, I'm glad too. I can't put into words how much of a relief it is to be back in the presence of...others. To have a home again.” He sighed happily, casting the black-pelted fae a happy smile. From beside him, Capella's gentle voice cut through and he immediately snapped his head around, unable to fully concentrate on one drappa for too long, simply because the other would speak. Still, he held her gaze for a longer moment, smile softening, before he let an eventual chuckle tumble from his black lips as she offered him her own sly wink and turned his own words against him. “Oh, yes, that's right. In my hurry to find you, I fell headlong into a river and you got there just in time to pull my limp form from the water's grip. How can I ever repay you?” His voice was overly dramatic, and his grin emphasized it. A third voice clipped against his ears, and Dax glanced toward Ryku, features holding his typical sheepishness. “I'm sorry,” He mumbled, flattening his ears and pushing out his forelegs until he sank to the ground with his short muzzle resting on too-large paws, looking from femme to femme with a rather irisistible puppyish look in his cerulean eyes. “It seems I'm just making all sorts of mistakes today...” Ryku adopted a sort of droll huh? look, one ear falling to the side and the other remaining pricked. The grizzled mann grinned; she had remembered their last encounter well.
Dax glanced down at his paws and inwardly smiled as he realized that he was padding in perfect sync with the silvery femme next to him, though after he realized the fact he had to concentrate to continue. He flicked his ginger tail against hers with every other step, as if mentally keeping beat and also reassuring himself that he wasn't doing this alone; that he had others with him in this endeavor. Still engrossed in keeping time with Capella, he answered Ryku with his eyes down at his paws, though he had heard every word. “Wherever you would like to go is fine- didn't you say you knew other packmembers already, besides Mist and the Dragga?”

Capella the Loving Capella had lost herself in the gentle rhythm of their steps, her tale for the most part swaying to and fro with each graceful step, the muscles beneath her light working in unison like a well oiled machine. In truth, that’s exactly what she was—though instead of steal nuts and bolts she was comprised of strong joints and ligaments. Her frame was not steal body work, but instead strong healthy bone covered in healthy muscles finished off with a glossy coat of intermingling hues of creams and light silvers. She was a wonderful example of her kind and what nature was capable of. She could hunt and survive and she had done so since birth and she would continue to do so until her days finally ended and she was forced to walk the Dark Road and live eternally within the beautiful meadows of the afterlife. She had kept her golden gaze lowered as they walked, glancing up every now and then just to make sure she was not going to walk into anything.
For the most part as she walked, she allowed her mind to drift, falling back on the days of her past and her mind calling up wonderfully sharp images of her mother, of her father. She could see hear her siblings laughter and the deep, rumbling voice of her father as he gently scolded them for wandering too far away or harassing the old badger that lived in the rotten old stump near the river. A small smile graced her cream hued muzzle but only for a fleeting moment. The joyful memories faded, replaced by the horrifyingly realistic image of her starved pups, dead at her side and then of her mate, his body already picked at by the nasty, heartless scavengers that haunt the sky. The pain she had felt at that moment had been indescribable and she had lifted her head and tilted her muzzle to the sky and let loose a cry that all creatures could recognize. She had mourned her loss, but she had not lingered long. There was nothing she could have done and so she had moved on. Capella gave a slight start, her mind being violently pulled back to the present by Dax’s words. She had only caught the last of what he was saying and it was enough to allow her to know he had been speaking of the incident at the river. She gave no spoken reply, but instead a gentle smile. She had lifted her gaze to Ryku as she spoke to Dax and then again shifted her attention to Dax himself. She wanted to chuckle at his display, but she remained silent upon seeing Ryku. It was a thin between them, a joke from their past encounter and one that she would not intrude upon.
As they continued on their way, she became aware of the contact between them, his tail sweeping against her own with every other step. For a moment, she glanced towards him, though he was engrossed with something. With what, she could not tell. She smiled herself, though only faintly before allowing her expression to fade back to a mask of thoughtfulness. She glanced up only once more to watch Ryku and listen to Dax’s question, but as usually, she remained silent. Where they went, as long as they were within the boundaries of Deor, mattered litter to her. Eventually, though, she hoped to see Mist once more or at least be present when the birth happened. She wanted to be there outside or at least close enough to the den to hear the soft whines of new life. Her mask was interrupted and distorted by a joyful smile. She was a Deorian nurse and a proud one at that. She would be there to lend aid to the raising and education of the future leaders of the pack. She would love them with all her heart as though they were her own. She would give her life to protect them and see to it that they got the very best chance at life possible. She would see to it that they got their fill of meat when they left their mother’s milk, even if it means giving up her own share. What mattered most was that they survive—young as they were, they had a lot more to live for then herself. She had lived a fine life and one that she did not regret. She was content now and would, without question, give away the remaining time she had left on the earth for them. She wondered, curiously, how the rest of the pack felt about the pups. No doubt they felt a similar growing affection for the unborn young Mist carried. A wolf pack was that way, at least to her understanding. She had spent a good deal of time under her mother’s care, however, when she and her siblings were old enough to leave the den, the entire pack took part in their rearing. A pack was a family. Blood or not, she knew she would grow to love the Deorian wolves as she had loved her birth pack.
As the joyous thoughts raced through her mind, the tension that had been seeping off of her vanished and her body relaxed falling into a more natural, calm posture. She carried herself now with a sense of pride, her golden eyes bright and dazzling, and her steps falling far more lightly on the earth as they traveled. She started seeing the forest more closely, picking out the different shrubs and taking note of the intricate weaving of the roots at bases of trees. Her sensitive ears picked up on the soft beating of wings in the air as birds silently took flight as the three wolves passed beneath their homes. Home… She was finally home.

The black femme smiled as tension began to fade away from her body and her legs carried her gracefully across the earth. She smiled thinking about how she had made it in life. She had gotten to be a grown fae and got into her own pack. Sure she wanted a mate and pups but those could wait. Her amber orbs searched across the lands as she thought about her pups years coming into her mind. It was a warm day in the meadow. The young fae padded through the tree line expecting the worst but seeing nothing she bolted into the meadow happily. Her black tail wagged excitedly as her soft gold eyes danced playfully. Something caught her eyes as she snapped her head to the left.A beautiful butterfly was hovering around.
She smiled and got low to the inspecting its colors. It was outlined black and had huge yellow wings with ivory spots and red outlining it. The grey pup stalked the insect and carefully watched it. She examined the pose of the butterfly as she locked on. The cub then pounced playfully at the bug batting at it in play. Her chocolate eyes sparkled in the early morning.
Chasing the butterfly around the meadow the cub giggled and her tail swished around excitedly. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth and the trees that framed the meadow loomed over head. Her small paws bounded her off the ground in huge leaps getting close to the butterfly but not close enough to harm the bug; just close enough to make it fly off to a different spot.
Then it took off into the air which made the young drappa race after it. She jumped up trying to reach it but it just got higher into the air. It flew off but the cub spotted a rock. It was tall enough for her to reach the butterfly and it was easy enough for her to climb on. She pondered all the possibilities of what could happen and the bad scenarios too. Thinking nothing of it the fae padded over to it as she examined it like the butterfly.
Then the femme broke from her thoughts when Dax made a comical face at her. Ryku laughed at his pose and rolled her eyes happily. The ebon fae thought about the others she knew here. Only two other which were Koiji and Silve but she did not know where they were. Hearing Dax ask her a question Ryku thought again. The golden orbed fae seemed deep in thought as she remembered the possibilities of where she could take the two. “Well I know Koiji and Silve. That’s about it.” Her voice seemed like it was far away. Like Ryku’s body was there but her soul was somewhere else. The onyx femme broke out of thought again and smiled at the two. “Capella where do you wish to go?” Ryku directed her talk toward the lighter fae smiling happily.

ooc: Ugh. Sorry for the shortness and, well, just sorry in general for the post. I know its not of very good quality and the length could get a little better, but I totally blanked. Hopefully I can start putting out better posts. Capella the Loving Capella allowed her pause to slow until finally, she stopped, golden eyes lifting towards the sky as several of the birds who had been roosting in the trees took flight, wanting to put as much distance between themselves and the three wolves below. For a brief moment she was no longer within the borders of Deor, but back home, in the thick forests of her puphood. A dark male stepped in front of her, dark eyes questioning and his ears pulled back in slight concern. There was a strong sense of familiarity that Capella felt upon seeing the handsome male. She knew his strong, wise face and his gentle eyes. He stepped forwards, slowly closing the distance between them, yet as he drew closer, Capella felt herself stepping to meet him, her soft feathery tail swaying. Before she could speak, however, another form stepped out beside the dark male.
He was a good deal lighter in color then the other male and his warm hazel eyes gleaming mischievously while his slender muzzle twisting in a grin. Again, Capella was struck with a sense of familiarity upon seeing the other male. ”Capella? Why are you just standing there? Come on, we’re going to miss the hunt! The lighter colored male sprang away, disappearing into the undergrowth of the forest. The darker male smiled softly and then turned and followed after the lighter male, calling over his shoulder, Come on or you’ll end up with the bad sections of the kill. And then he too, was gone. Capella whined softly, stepping forwards to follow after the two, but she realized that they hadn’t truly been there. Instead, her gaze settled on the handsome face of Dax and then shifted it forwards to study Ryku’s face.
Suddenly feeling rather foolish for having drifted off in day dreams and she lowered her golden gaze towards the ground, studying the growing grass beneath her paws. For the most part she had been content on remaining silent, listening to the conversation between Ryku and Dax. True, it wasn’t exactly like her to remain in such a cloud of silence, but there were times where she enjoyed listening rather than talking. It allowed a chance for her to get to know the other two. She was enjoying the stroll, allowing the other to converse while she took in the surroundings. She was surprised however, when Ryku voice broke the silence and directed a question to her. Where did she want to go? She wanted to laugh, but she allowed a mere smile to touch her lips, her golden eyes questioning. It would be nearly impossible for her to actually choose a destination with the little knowledge she possessed of the territory. Allowing the silence to continue, she let her mind fly over the possibilities. Was there a water source in the area that they could easily access? That would be good to know. But as she thought more of it, the more she realized that she wasn’t exactly to keen on seeing water at the moment.
Growing somewhat frustrated with the question hanging over her head, her ears twitched backwards and she sighed softly. She was about to answer Ryku’s question with a slight shrug and a ‘I have no real destination in mind at the moment.’ When suddenly she was struck by a wonderful idea, one that was, at least in her mind, important to know. Lifting her gaze to meet Ryku’s she smiled. “I would like to know where the pack sleeps. I think it’ll be important to know where the pack gathers in the evenings.
