//Mist gave me permission to post here//
Many moons had passed since the chocolate and tan fae had seen the silvery fae that helped her when she was a lost and scared cub. Thinking back to that time Mayta couldn’t help but smile, she was no longer the emaciated, clumsy cub that she once was. When she was a cub, she had large ears and paws, and it seemed like every few steps she took, she ended up tripping over her own paws. The cub was nothing but skin and bones when Mist first found her, her loose skin sagged down over her paws when she sat, nothing like a healthy cub should be. Now, however, thanks to Mist and her dear adoptive sister Sorcha, Mayta had turned into a lovely young fae. Her once large ears, now sat properly on her skull and her large paws, fit perfectly on her long slender legs. Mayta was a tall, slender fae, built for speed and agility. Her favorite part though was her long, fluffy tail that now swayed happily behind her as she quickly covered the wooded terrain towards Deor.
The excitement had begun to build inside the two tone fae, she was in search of her dear friend Mist. She knew where to find her, but she also knew that Deor’s lands large and vast and it might take a while to find her or rather for Mist to get to her at the Deorian boarder. In an attempt to speed things up, she quickened her pace, as her paws pounded the snowy ground; they left indents in a smeared image of her paws. Her ears were pinned to her head and her tail was straight back so that her body made a perfect straight line as she ran, her long pelt flowed as the wind intertwined with it, making her look like a flash of browns through the trees.
In no time at all, the Deorian boarder hit her like a smack in the face. Mayta slowed her pace and carefully watched where she stepped, she did not want to go further and cause any trouble for herself. Though Deor and Ge-Rad were strong allies, you never know how might show up and be in a grouchy mood. Her tail still swaying behind her, she placed her two front paws up on a falling snow covered tree, lifting and slender muzzle to the sky, her chocolate lips parted ways, letting out a beautiful song, calling Tratto’s Blessing to the silvery Drappa. Lowering her muzzle she smiled, “Mist will not believe her eyes when she sees me and sees how much I’ve grown.” Chuckling to herself she rest back on her haunches, the only thing left for her to do now was wait. She sat up straight, her chest stuck out proud with her auds perked and her emerald speckled orbs watching intently for someone to arrive, hoping that it would be her dear friend Mist.

Lifting her nose out from its warm place underneath her tail as she hears a sweet call of Tratto's Blessing, Mist pricks up her ears and listens carefully. There is something familiar in that voice. Tilting her head as she tries to recall who's voice it might be, the Drappa's eyes widen as she pictures a gangly brown cub. The tiny fae in her memory could not have let forth such a lovely blessing as this, but it has been months since she last saw Mayta. Perhaps... Getting up, slightly more slowly than she normally would, the reason for which is evident as her pup-grown stomach is clearly seen, Mist shakes herself and heads toward the border. Lifting her own maw to the sky she howls out a reply to the young fae. Mayta will not have long to wait. Mist, though well along in her pregnancy, is still fleet of paw, and knows every inch of Deor as well as she knows anything. The inches of snow crunch faintly beneath the grey fae's paws as she lopes steadily toward her dear little friend.
The day is relatively warm, likely hovering just below freezing, and though there is still much time until spring truly comes, there is a hint of warmer days to come in the playful breeze that tugs and dances through the fae's silver-ash grey fur. A smile shines on her lovely face as she thinks of her mate, and of the cubs within her. Her children will see their new world in the beautiful purity of spring. They will be part of the joy of new life in the true beginning of the year. Taking a deep breath, Mist pictures Dak, and sets her mind to the fact that she must go find him after this meeting with Mayta. It is not as if he has been away or she hasn't seen him in a long time, but she suddenly misses him. The love in his emerald eyes when he sees her, and the unmistakable tone in his voice when he says her name, are far too easy to take for granted, and with this promise of new life she has with him, Mist is determined not to let a day go by without truly realizing how much she loves him, and how much he means to her.
For now, though, she is going to catch up with Mayta... Pausing in her stride, Mist lifts her nose to the faint breeze and scents the air for the young fae's direction. Smiling as she catches it, Mist barks softly to let the other fae know she is coming, and almost there. She continues on, and rounds a heap of boulders, and slows as she sees a graceful young fae. Blinking in amazement a smile begins to shine on her face. "Mayta! Is it really you, darling? How much you've grown!" Padding forward she leans her muzzle forward to nuzzle the brown fae gently, and then pulls back to look at her, smiling brightly. "How are you? It really has been far too long..." In her enthusiasm, she does not think of the fact that Mayta will not have known she was having cubs, and only of her own surprise at how much the "cub" has grown. It does not cross her mind that her little friend will be very surprised to see how much she has "grown" as well...
((OOC: *winces* I'm really rusty... so sorry m'dear!))

//Sorry for the wait. And don't know if you have much to go on, if you need me to add something let me know.//
The chocolaty fae waits patiently, her emerald speckled golden orbs taking in the beauty around her. When she was just a cub, she remembered how Mist had described her home. As true as her words were, words have never seemed to be able to describe true beauty no matter how much one tried, and such was the case with Deor. Mayta was only just broken the boarder of the seemingly endless land and it took her breath away. She had a beautiful home herself, fool of wonder and excitement, and while the lands of Ge-Rad were just as beautiful in their own right, the two lands differed in their beauty.
Soon her auds perk as a friendly howl creeps into them and a giant smile comes across her maw. Mist had heard her call and would soon be by her side. The two tone fae began to remember their time together when she was just a tiny cub and how she always had to play catch up to her, and she knew that Mist would be with her in no time. Her tail wagged excitedly back and forth, she couldn’t wait to see the silvery Drappa, the one that had helped save her life. Soon and happy bark sounded from the distance, soon she would be face to face with the Drappa. Her front paws placed on the fallen log, she straightened her body, proudly stuck out her chest and peered off in the direction the barks had come from, Mayta was proud of what she had become and wanted Mist to be just as proud of her. Her chocolate maw parted ways, and a welcoming bark emitted from her throat so the golden orbed fae knew she was anxiously awaiting her arrival.
Moments later the gray fae entered her sight, and her eyes widened in astonishment. “Mist! Look at you! You’re so pleasantly plump and glowing!” She ran towards Mist nuzzling her and licking her muzzle. Stepping back, she walked around the fae, her emerald speckles dancing in excitement. “You look amazing and so happy! Tell me, when are you due, and more importantly who is the lucky father to be?” In all the excitement of the pregnant Drappa’s appearance she totally skipped over everything Mist had said to her and she hadn’t heard of any news that new cubs were to be born in Deor. She had been so busy training with the sapphire and emerald kaleidoscope fae of Ge-Rad that she had hardly had any time to venture outside of her lands. Today she was very glad she had, for good news had come of it, Mist was going to be a mother again.

An amused and happy smile appears readily on Mist's face as she first sees Mayta, and it only grows wider as the brown fae questions her in an enthusiastically bubbly tone. Chuckling softly she waits for Mayta to finish her questions before replying, and when she does, it is in a rather calmer, though no less happy, way. She nuzzles the younger fae fondly in return, her eyes dancing merrily. "Hello darling. Mhm, you've found out my wonderful news! I'm so glad you decided to come visit me! Nodding at the chocolate fae's observations she tilts her head and looks down at herself, laughing softly as she does what Mayta said. "I'm happy to say that I am... happy. Life is just, really wonderful right now. And, oh, little Mayta, it's wonderful to see you! I know you're not "little" anymore, my dear, but I imagine I'll think of you that way for a while longer. It really is amazing how much can change in a relatively short time. You've... well, we've both grown so much!" Laughing again at these last few words Mist leans forward again to nuzzle her "little" friend, and then settles back gently on her haunches to answer the rest of Mayta's questions.
"Hmm, I'm not sure the exact date of when I'm due, but sometime in the next week or so, I'd imagine. These cubs will soon be ready to meet the world!" Tilting her head, she shifts positions slightly to more easily accomodate the extra weight of her children. Her eyes seem to sparkle and dance as she thinks of her mate and she smiles happily as she answers. "The 'lucky father-to-be' is my mate, Dakota Spirit. He's Deor's Beta. I would love you to meet him sometime, dear Mayta. Perhaps when our cubs are born. Will you come?" She pauses for a moment before speaking again, changing her mind about that last question. "How long were you planning on being away from Ge-Rad? I was just thinking... if you'd like to stay here until the cubs are born and go home after that, you would be more than welcome. It just depends on if you'd be missed at home. I wouldn't want to cause Sorcha or Draeg or anyone to worry about you." Swishing her tail slowly behind her she smiles gently at the young fae in front of her and tilts her head, taking in many of the things that have changed about her little friend since they last saw each other. "What about you, dear? Have you been well? You look well - and happy... is Ge-Rad what you hoped it would be?"

The tan and chocolate fae was gleeful and giddy, bubbling over with happiness for Mist. As the Drappa mentions how Mayta has grown she immediately stands and turns around in a circle so that she can get a good look at how much she has grown from a clumsy cub and a young beautiful fae. A giant smile is placed on her maw and a sigh of contentment escapes her chest as her once savior nuzzles her tenderly. Mayta quickly nuzzles the gray mother-to-be back and gently sits back on her haunches, her long bushy tail wagging rapidly behind her listening to all of Mist’s wonderful news.
Listening to the Drappa’s tale was like listening to a fairy tale, everything seemed so perfect. Mist had found what seems to be an amazing mann, and soon they would welcome beautiful pups into the world.
“Oh Mist! I would love to meet him, he seems to make you so happy, I must meet him! And of course, I will most certainly stay until the pups are born; I wouldn’t miss it, especially since they will be welcomed to the beauties of life so soon!”
Mayta jumped to her paws and padded over to Mist, nuzzling her once more before resting back on her haunches, this time much closer to who she at one time considered her “mom”. A smile seemed to be permanently affixed to her maw and happiness floated in the air. A cool breeze danced through the tall swaying trees bringing lots of different smells with it, Mayta’s onyx nose twitched back in forth and she deeply inhaled taking all the newness that Deor held. The Drappa’s sweet and happy voice entered her auds bringing her back; her golden speckled emerald gaze met the golden gaze of Mist.
“Oh Mist! Ge-Rad is wonderful! It’s so beautiful, the rolling meadows, the pond and the cover of the forest, I have the best of all worlds! And Sorcha and I have so much fun! Draeg is a wonderful Dragga, he keeps us all safe. Oh! And guess what!!! You are looking at Ge-Rad’s new scout in training! Have you ever met the fae that goes by the name of Krystal? She’s ebony and ivory with emerald and sapphire kaleidoscope orbs. She is the lead scout and emissary of Ge-Rad and she is teaching me everything she knows. She showed me all of the land and….oh well you don’t need to hear all that.”
Mayta began to giggle, she had a tendency to get carried away with everything of her knew duty.
“So tell me, have you and Dakota Spirit picked out any names yet for the pups? You are so lucky Mist, I am so happy for you!...”
