The dreams of the young he-cub were similar to his mother's and sister's with the fact that they were peaceful, of a placid nature. His form outside of his dream twitched every now and then, his black lips pulling back to form a small grin which flashed his small white puppy teeth resting comfortably on healthy pink gums.
Kenjo, unlike his sister, liked his sleep. In fact, when he slept, it was as though he were nothing more than a log. Besides the fact that he was rather restless in his sleep, the cub managed to stay asleep long after his mother and sister arose with the sun. But even though he enjoyed sleeping, it didn't mean that he would go to bed without a fight. In fact, today even he managed to weazle his way out and ended up staying up a lot longer than usual, to the dismay of his parents. But hey, he was a cub, it was his duty to do such things.
The cub, spray painted with an equal coating of red and silver hues over his ivory pelt, merely twitched his ears slightly as his dragga yelled up a rally, and twitched again as his father alerted the pack to wake once again. He failed to hear his already awakened mother and sister, and was instead focused on the sight of a small cricket who was bouncing about his mind, taunting his dream self to chase it.
The dream Kenjo grinned, and once again the real cub let out a grin, a small whine forming at the back of his throat, legs twitching as his dream self chased after the bug. But then, his bi-hued eyes snapped open as a lick came to his forehead, and he grumbled.
"Aw, c'mon, I was getting to the good part..." he grumble, stretching and wiping the lick off of his forehead with his large paws, winking his one blue-green eye and glaring at his father with his golden yellow one.
However, the cub paused, feeling the tension in the air. His eyes looked towards his mother, searching her own blue-green eyes to find fear in them, but that was the usual. His mother was always skittish, no biggie there. He then looked at his sister and aunt, raising his brow. Kehré was utterly confused, and Kairi was...comforting their mother?
A strange scent hung in the rain outside of the den, and the cub wrinkled his nose, pressing his body against the warm stomach of his mother as a cool gust of wind entered its mouth. His auds cupped forward as he listened to his packmates' worried vocals.
Looks like the excitement he's been looking for was coming.

Having given his orders Draeg stood firmly beside the unconscious form of his daughter, tending to wounded neck as he waited patiently for the rest of the pack to gather. The situation looked dire but thanks to Shayla’s warning at least now Ge-Rad stood a fighting chance of driving the invaders from their home, with any luck they would be able to minimize the amount of bloodshed that would inevitably be spilt in the upcoming battle. A flicker of ivory catching his attention the amber varg turned his head just in time to see Mayan emerge into the clearing followed shortly by Koan, the latter varg hobbling along on three legs as he trailed after the old fortune teller. Upon catching sight of the battered fae Draeg breathed out a quick sigh of relief, having feared that she might have been attack while trying to join the pack he was relieved to see that Mayan remain uninjured. “As a matter of fact there is. I need you to tell me everything you can about Sarnes, it’ll help us a great deal if we have an idea of how they think and what their numbers are.” Draeg answered, noting the determination in her voice and offering an encouraging nod. “I know things have changed since you’ve left but just tell us what you can.”
Moving forward to inspect Shayla Koan immediately began examining her wounds, barking out orders and showing more concern for his stepsister then Draeg had ever seen. Head tilting to the side slightly Draeg cast the battered warrior a dry look, a bit put off that Koan didn’t seem to consider him enough of a healer to tend to his own daughter. However at the same time he was surprised to see just how verse Koan was in the art in of healing, the amber varg never really having pegged his son as the healing type. Still he suppose it made sense that the grizzled warrior would have some rudimentary knowledge on how to treat and mend wounds, he had taken Lydair as his mate after all and as pack healer chances were that she had probably taught him enough to take care of himself in a crisis situation. Given the way her mate often ended up getting himself hurt Draeg figured that had probably been a wise move on Lydair’s part.
He watch as Shako disappear into the den, amber eyes following the ivory beta as he left to gather the rest of the pack. He knew that it must be hard for Shako to face Sarnes after learning that his sister had become Drappa of the marsh pack, it didn’t take a genius to tell that they had been close. But that had been before they had both gone their separate ways and joined different packs, different packs that through a cruel twist of fate had become bitter enemies shortly after the amber varg‘s family had taken up residence in Ge-Rad. Shaking his head Draeg sighed, yet another family torn to ruin due to the inconsiderate nature of his actions.
Kairi’s appearance did not go unnoticed by Draeg, the amber varg watching the red warrioress as she slipped by and silently made her way into the pack den without so much as a second glance. Lip twitching he let out a slight snarl, angered by the lead warrior’s overall lack of concern over a fellow packmate as well as her indifference towards the present situation. As if it wasn’t bad enough that she openly despised him Kairi always never seemed to be around, disappearing for moons at a time only to reappear during a crisis and even then she offered little help or assistance to anyone other than her brother. It irked him how she always seemed to come and go as she pleased without any regard for him or the pack, it didn’t help that she didn’t really seem to care about anyone in Ge-Rad other than Shako and more recently Yelae. To make matters worse no one ever seemed to know where she went when she disappeared or whether the red drappa even stayed in Ge-Rad, Draeg didn’t like it.
Having accomplished his appointed task Shako emerged from the den, the ivory beta taking his rightful place beside Draeg and offering his council to the amber varg. “I know.” he growled, looking around at the small warband. “Is this all we have?” Staring out at the small procession of varg gathered around him the amber male couldn’t help but feel a profound sense of hopelessness wash over him. Just five varg? Was that it, was that really all there was? When had Ge-Rad gotten so small? Not even half their number was all that lay assembled before him. Where was everyone else?
Kaemon’s emergence from the terrestrial hollow did little to improve Draeg’s mood, knowing that even with six varg at his disposal the chances of all seven of them being able to drive out the combined forces of Sarnes and the Balkar were dangerously low. How had it come to this, four of his number missing, three noncombatants pups, two varg incapacitated, his lead warrior unwilling to participate, and now Koan was telling Kaemon to stay behind! “Koan I really don’t think that’s going to be an option.” he intervened, stepping between the pair. “Yelae won’t be able to join us today and we don’t have the numbers to keep leaving varg behind.” Turning to Shako he snarled. “Get Kairi up here, I don’t care what her problems with me are I’ll be damned if she thinks I’m going to let her stay here with Yelae after disappearing for weeks on end! I’ll leave someone behind to take care of her and the pups but we need every able bodied we can get and unfortunately that means your sister is too valuable to be left behind. Once that‘s done everyone prepare to move out.”
((kinda sucks, lost my muse not even halfway through))

Having been on the other side of Ge-rad terra the ebony fae hadn't heard the call right away. Her night rounds had gone with little luck of being peaceful and she had tried to catch up on some sleep. But obvously that wasn't going to happen today. Her auds has barely picked up the faint call, but she knew that something was going on.
Getting to her paws she took off in the direction the call had come from, frantic with the thought that she was late and would be punished. She was still upset about Draeg not believing her that that ebon bitch was bad news. However that was the past and she was trying to forget that. He was her uncle and cared for her, but still...
Trees and brush flew by the femme as she dashed toward the call. Her legs seemed to carry her effortlessly through the terra, though her mind was frantic with the thought that she was late and in trouble for that.As she neared the group of vargs blood hit her nares with a force much like that of a hoof to the skull.
She skidded to a halt as she emerged to the group, most of the pack was present, including her mother. As she looked around she noticed that Shayla was badly hurt and unconcious, the blood... "What's going on?" she asked, seeing that Kaemon was there. But something kept her from smiliing at him, or anyone for that reason. The air, thick with tension. She looked to Draeg, waiting. What was going on?
She wanted to repeat her question, to ask however many times she could till someone answered, but the way everyone was, she was intimidated. She was a warrior, and like a warrior she would wait till she was told what to do.

The words were strange and almost foreign to the fae. They were under attack! Never had she thought that Ge-rad would be under attack! She looked back to Draeg, she was beta femme, but she was also nurse and there were pups and an injured varg to take care of. But as the conversation progressed it appeared that she would be staying behind. Suppose that they came under attack, perhaps she needed to stay here and make sure they had a place to hide. "I could stay here! I think it's best if I do. There are pups still and Shayla will need to be taken care of. " She wasn't sure if her duty had been decided, but she thought she should say something. "Ayasha can go."
She looked at her daughter, though she still saw her as young, she knew that she could be okay. She would be more help out in the battle than here anyway. Hopefully Draeg saw that. But she also knew that Ge-rad needed all vargs that they could get, perhaps Uskiya should go and fight. She was torn between duties, how would she fight and still help Shayla. If Lydair was here she could help Shayla, and then it would be no question as to what the grey furred fae would do.
"Draeg, what do you need me to do? I can fight, or I can stay here." She spoke again, this time with a firmer voice, things seemed to be spiraling out of hand quickly and everyone was frantic. They needed to remain strong if anything was going to happen. They would need as many vargs as they could get, but it appeared that Ge-rad was looking small.

Surveying the pack one last time the amber dragga took on a more dominant stance, lifting his body to its full extent and mimicking his late Drappa’s old stance. Amber gaze falling upon each member he examine every one of the individual varg gather before him in sequence, appraising his pack like any decent general as though trying to determine which one to leave behind as sentry for Yelae and the pups. Of course Draeg had already decided on who was going to remain behind, however he didn’t want it to seem like he hadn’t given the thought any real consideration hence the slight delay. Knowing that Ge-Rad couldn’t afford to spare any more than a single varg Draeg had decided on sticking with his original decision and leave Uskiya behind, knowing that the beta fae’s skills as healer and pack nurse would made her the best choice to stay behind and guard the den. Gesturing to the beta fae he offered a slight nod, acknowledging her as she stepped forward to volunteer her services and learn his decision. “Uskiya I want you to stay here and look after Yelae and the pups. Tend to Shayla as best you can and see if you can get her to regain consciousness.” he growled, turning to face her. “If things get bad you and Yelae grab the pups and head for Deor, tell Chalos I sent you and you should be fine.”
Ears perking to sounds of someone approaching he arched his back, lips pulling back in a fierce snarl and baring his fangs menacingly. He stopped upon seeing Ayasha emerge from the brush, rushing over to his niece to inspect her and give her a relieved lick. “Ayasha! Thank Fenris you’re safe.” he growled, nuzzling her affectionately. Retracing his muzzle he allow her some room to breath, letting out a slight sigh as she questioned him. “We’re being invaded, Ge-Rad is under attack.”

(OOC: I’m sorry about being absent for awhile. This post won’t be very good, I have little idea on what’s going on, and I haven’t read through the thread, but I got permission to join in. Please bear with my post if some things don’t make sense, like weather, actions and such. They’ll get better as I learn more of what is going on I promise.)
It was a time of great turmoil and distress for the Ge-Radian’s. Much had occurred in such a short period of time. Much that a bi-colored femora was ignorant about. But was that for the best? On this night, darkness was unusually thick; a black void covered the lands Krystal called home. On this night, a former Zanguzen slept, far from the comfort and safety of the Ge-Rad dens. A Ge-Radian the bi-colored fae may be, but far from such facts she felt at the moment. The course of these moons had been an up and down roller coaster ride for Krystal. A path that consisted of conflicted family members, broken hearts, a new mother and sister, and the secrets of her lineage revealed. But most of these events only served to further push away a fae who had only longed for what had been lacking for so long in her life. The feel of what it was like to be apart of a family. Too feel the love and ties of a true pack, and be looked upon as a daughter of Ge-Rad.
But perhaps such a wonderful future was not meant for a wolf whose roots stretched back to an iniquitous pack of assassins and mercenaries. Ever since the moon upon the arrival of Zukozu came too pass, Krystal had chosen to annex herself from normal Ge-Rad activities. Though she stayed within the boarders of the lands, the former Zanguzen hadn’t been seen by others for suns. Krystal had found an abandon den deep within the labyrinth of redwoods that made up the Ge-Rad forest. There Krystal stayed for suns, with only her thoughts to accompany the lonesome warrior. Many of those thoughts included the option to leave behind Ge-Rad, for who would miss the bi-colored mistake of life? Who in Ge-Rad would care enough for her existence to so much as question her disappearance? Like a deadly poison, these thoughts seeped into her mind and dripped into her body, sucking the life out of a beautiful fae who felt her very existence unappreciated, as if it didn’t matter if Tor decided to take the ebon and ivory fae’s life here and now.
Krystal slept, unable to move her form as the weight of depression kept the elegant fae pinned. Everything Krystal had ever been told by her Zanguzen brethren looked as if it were coming to pass, and though the bi-colored fae had never thought about her appearance before this moon, it seemed like the taunting of her brothers was indeed true. Hideous, unsightly, revolting, repulsive, wretched, heathen, horrid, mistake of nature, mistake of life, mistake of Tor, this poison consumed Krystal, such a shame indeed. For unknowing too the bi-hued femora, she was in fact very beautiful. But without the love of a family to cleanse the venom that devoured away at Krystal’s soul, she was left with nothing more then these taunting images. Void of the warmth of family love, void of the warmth of a loving mate, these wonderful, blissful pleasures of life, gifts handed down by Tor and Fenris to their children, were never gift wrapped for a bi-hued warrior who sought nothing more then the affection of family. Perhaps maybe even one day, the affection of a mate.
A cry broke the silence of the darkened night, a cry that went unheard by a silent sleeper. Her breaths soft, the rise and fall of her chest almost went unnoticed, as Krystal lay in a state of sleep that looked almost lifeless. But there was indeed life left in the former Zanguzen. Her legs and nose twitched, auds and tail stirred in the darkness of the den. And soon, sapphire and emerald orbs would awaken to a dark world. But it was not Draeg’s cry that had stirred the sleeping Zanguzen. Hunger was the result of Krystal’s awakening, and the need for sustenance was enough to bring renewed life into the warrior. With great effort, the Ge-Radian fae rose, her movements slow as her ebon paws took the tired fae out of the seclusion of the den and into the forest. Krystal knew she had to eat something; anything she could catch would suffice. But the forest was empty, void of any creatures. The very feel of Ge-Rad felt different on this moon. The sky was darker; an all ready ominous labyrinth gave off a more menacing self presence. As if the very land itself was crying out to Krystal, warning her to stay back, to stay away.
Instinctively she disobeyed such warnings, and slowly, intuition led the bi-colored Ge-Radian toward the dens that should have been her home. The journey was sluggish and slow going. Many times along the way, Krystal thought about turning around. But she couldn’t ignore this feeling. Couldn’t ignore the presence of fear and danger that hung over the lands she shared with a family she felt didn’t want her around. But what would they say to the former Zanguzen? Especially after missing for several suns? Krystal knew at the very least, she would be welcomed by Uskiya and Ayasha, but what about the others? What about Draeg? Ever since that day at Draeg’s hidden den, their close-nit friendship had never been the same. The amber Dragga’s golden eyes seemed distant since that day, and perhaps the damage done could never be undone, a wound that could never be healed, a heart that could never find warmth. These emotions were lay too rest as Krystal neared the dens, and soon she came into view of the gathered wolves. Just what would happen next, only Tor and Fenris knew, but jugging by the expressions shown on everyone’s faces, something was indeed wrong in the family of Ge-Rad.

The ivory and silver male turned to Draeg with a nod, he knew that his call was much better than his own. After all, Kairi was a worrioress, and the lead warrior of the pack. “Right,” Shakó murmured, turning back into the den to face Kairi. Then again, Shakó didn’t know if Kairi would even listen, for she was rather unwilling to answer to Draeg, ever since the pack had been taken over. Still, he knew he had to try, and Kairi was more prone to listen to him than Draeg anyways. “Kairi, I’m sorry, but the pack is looking a little small right now… We need everyone who can to come help. Uskiya was told to look after Yelae, the cubs and Shayla.” Shakó said, looking at all four of his family. He didn’t want to say anything too dangerous in front of Yelae and the awake cubs, for the fact that he was afraid of frightening them. “Please Kairi,” he said finally, hoping that she would understand. After all, no one more than him wanted Kairi there, to guard his mate and cubs, but he knew that couldn’t be. “Yelae, if things get rough, grab the cubs and Shayla and head for Deor. Uskiya was told to do the same,” Shakó finished, giving a quick lick on the head to each of his cubs and mate before turning tail once again.
Before Shakó could return, however, Koan confronted him. Despite there history, Shakó was rather surprised Koan would even bother talking to him, none the less acknowledge his existence. “I know,” Shakó replied, unaware that he really was panicking so much. To tell the truth, Shakó was held together rather nicely, if one was to compare him to the night his mate gave birth. “But if you expect me to remain completely calm, it’s just not going to happen. The instincts of danger burn within my veins, and I think it’s safe to say within everyone else too,” Shakó finished. He did respect what Koan was doing.
Soon after the arrival of Ayasha, came another familiar varg painted of ebon and ivory. Shakó hardly knew this varg, for being isolated for so long he hadn’t really had time to make a proper acquaintance. The only thing he knew was that Draeg trusted her, and she was a respected member of the pack. “Krystal” Shakó said upon approaching the fae and Draeg. “I’m sure you heard, the invasion, we need you to come help push the Balkar and Sarnes back,” Shakó said, as somewhat of a request and a demand. With Krystal, their numbers would be up to a fighting eight.

The time just seemed to slow as vargs began to crowd, as they tried to look for the reasons as to why Shayla had gotten to this state. Every second seemed to stretch longer but then, Shayla's words acting litk a catalyst had hurtled the varg's of Ge rad into full speed. And suddenly everything seemed to run much faster than the tanned hybrid could comphrend. Firefly shook the murky daze from her head as the words thundered and echoed in her ear drums. Ge rad was under Attack! A startled bark excaped her muzzle as she looked around the shocked faces of the ge radian wolves.
Firefly one of them looked to Draeg for any idea as to what to do next. Fly bit her tongue, she had to be brave, she had to be bold. Her eyes swept towards the corner of the den to where Yelae snuggled with her pups and their guardian Kairi, and she foudn the fuel that energized her will to fight. Firefly felt confidence flood her insides as she raised her head, for the first time to level herself if not just a tad above the betas. She was still wary of her position and this was no time to be confused with her own inner troubles. "Koan's right, never forget that we are of Ge rad". She padded towards Uskiya and Yelae giving each a warm nuzzle, words were said simply by the use of eye contact, and she prayed for their safety. Slowly she turned around and padded to the mouth of the entrance ready for the departure as she waited for Draeg to finish delivering out all his orders.

Kairi watched with emerald orbs as the vargs of Ge rad chattered about, and the lead warrioress took in every word with a click. She watched with a quiet eye as the dragga directed vargs to their position, and more wolves had arrived on the scene. Kai blinked slowly as she watched the frenzy about her.
Kairi looked down to see Kenjo, his eyes showing utter confusion at the going ons. The red she varg only gave the young cub a smile as he awoke, the tangy scent of blood clearly had reached his newly developed senses. Kairi looked up at the sound of her name. Her throat uttered with a growl of dis-contempt at the stab Draeg had given. She had rather felt her presence odd and she didn't see herself fitting into much of the pack life. And so she found herself most of the time scouring the Ge rad outskirts, away from the main ongoings, though recently she found herself stalking near Yelae's den seeing as her brother could use the extra eyes.
But it was a different situation now and the red fae snorted with a scoff. She'd go, but since Draeg was so rude about it, she would take her sweet little time. The fae rose to her feet, unaware now of what other orders were given to each wolf as she looked about and found Uskiya. The grey she wolf was one of the other, she wolf she found she could at least talk to. Kai knew that she would not be staying no matter how much she wanted to make sure Yelae and her cubs would be alright. But for some very odd reason Kairi was relieved that Draeg had chosen Uskiya out of all the other possible candidates to stay behind. Perhaps in hopes that Uskiya would be safer from the force of the battle.
She waited as the wolves started to file out of the den and huddle at the entrance. Kairi took a step when Shako returned, Kairi couldn't help but hide a grin to find Shako in such a strange predicament. "Aah no need for pleading" Kairi blinked giving her pelt a thorough shake. But if you need me thaaat much she gave a wry grin to Shako as she watched him send tender affections to his family before returning towards the entrance. Kairi sighed. It wasn't that she was not willing to listen to Draeg and leave, Kairi, wanted to protect this little family, may she be blood related or not, like how she wasn't able to protect her own blood family and soon after they broke apart with nothing left but Kairi herself.
Turning Kairi gave Yelae a nuzzle and licked each of the little pups. She turned and found herself facing Uskiya. "Be careful Uskiya" she whispered before giving the golden orbed femme a nuzzle. Kairi's emerald orbs found the form of her daughter Ayasha. "I'll watch out for her, I promises" Kairi whispered, shy of the the real self who she hardly portrayed. Head then returning to its rude hoist she padded towards the gathering, nose in the air in her own bratty demeanor.
