It's hard. On the one hand most of what she did in the first book was pretty justifiable, she got blamed for a crime she technically didn't commit and sent into exile with no real trial simply because Brassa wanted to cover her own ass and wouldn't speak out in her defense until it was too little too late. Then she was driven away by only kin she had years later because they were afraid of her and again Brassa was too ashamed to admit her innocence.
I can honestly see myself doing most of what she did if I was placed in that particular situation. However crossed the line when she decided to start killing off all the pups she had accumulated throughout the course of the book. Morality pretty much went on a downward spiral for her after that.
However I think she redeemed herself in Fell by helping him out, even if she did have to manipulate him to do it. Even so I though the way she popped up in the ending was awesome.
Final verdict.
Morgra, great villian but ultimately not as evil as she was made out to be.

It wasn't really her fault that that cub died, but putting the wolves through all that, well, it's not fair on them really is it? But she shouldn't have been exiled. That was a bit unfair 'cause if Brassa had spoken up, she wouldn't have turned as bad as she did y'know?

I don't think she's evil. It was sad when she died. She got to be so cruel because of her pack. I'm not pointing fingers, but her pack should be to blame. If Brassa had said something they would have understood. (hopefully)

I think Morgra certainly became evil. I can understand the impact of being exiled - but what she did is inexcusable in my mind. She killed young cubs and tried to destroy anyone around her. Yes Morgra had an injustice put against her, but ultimately she DID know what she was doing and did understand the consequences. Ultimately it had to be her that stood the punishment for these sins, regardless of what had driven her too them.

Well honestly, it can be argued that she was evil... But then the point of her upbringing and corrosion as a result arise. We know she was not an initially evil character, but that she was shunned and hurt repeatedly by the ones she cared about the most. That is, before she was exiled and found her own fate. I mean, when you have those feelings of distrust and betrayal like that growing in you for such a long long time... She sought to find her place, not as a Varg since her exile, but to become something more.. Something the others couldn't be a part of... Something she could cherish in her lonely existence... (It rhymes with 'Orld 'Omination) ... (jk) ... But seriously, she was an essential and deep character. Yes she did kill in order to obtain her goal... And she did kill innocent cubs... However, AND I'M NOT SAYING IT'S OKAY, but, she hadn't exactly been living on the bright side for most of her life, and every time she tried, she was rejected, and..... I personally, can't really condemn her for such intense, insatiable emotions and desires... but... yes, her actions and overlying intents were selfish, twisted, and evil. But these words lose meaning when so strongly affected...

you feel happy for her at the end going to wolfy heaven, but some of the things she did were really bad, like the killing of the cubs and others, but still i pity her.

After the life she had, I pity her. I mean when Brassa didn't admit that it wasn't Morgra's fault, and that is really unfair on her, and when she had to live a Kerl's life, that was also unfair on her part, and the fact she couldn't have cubs and most of the wolves that knew her were terrified of her, well, that can't be easy on a soul. But what she did to get her revenge is pretty unforgivable. Killing innocent cubs that had never done her a wrong, and stuff like that aren't nice to witness I wouldn't think. But when Pall denied her entry to her pack, that was a little harsh, but then again, she did have her cubs in mind at the time, and they come first. I still pity her, she's one of those misunderstood characters. If she had been given a second chance when they exiled her, she'd have probably not gone the way she did. But all the same, I love her charcter in the book, she was really one of those characters that you've got to love to hate :]

I think that morga turned evil but she wasn't always evil. It wasn't fair that she was exiled and had to live as a kerl. but I think that killing the cubs was terrible! I can't choose if she's good or bad.

WARNING SPOILER I pity her. The only reason I also loath her is because she handled her misfortune and pain with applying it to others. Seriously- Plotting against Fell even AFTER death? She's got a strong vendetta against them.

In my opinion, Morgra was never evil to begin with. She was simply a misunderstood wolf of the times. She had been betrayed in her birth pack by those she trusted, she was bullied and beaten down by other wolves, was unable to have a family of her own, and lived with a bunch of burly draggas. Seriously, who wouldn't be a little bit nuts after all the above? Evil is definately the wrong word to use - she was just impacted a little too much by the misery and hatred that constantly followed her around in her life. In my opinion, I think Morgra was the one who was cursed; she was the one who was left to fend for herself. And no one should really be left to do that... -insert Awhhh here-
By the way, I've not read Fell yet, so I have no idea what happens with Morgra in that, even though I know she is in it to some degree or another. This opinion is purely based on the book, The Sight, and the fact I may be a little bit obsessed.

I pity her too. She was very misunderstood and she just found her own way of coping, although wrong in itself, who can really judge her? Especially as she turned out to show her true colors at the end of 'Fell' by helping him defeat the humans. I think by then she had realized what she had done was wrong, and turned it around with a final act of love towards Fell and her own kind. I like how Larka forgave her too.

It's sad, that she and Larka died at the end of TS, but in the book Fell, it really shows that she wasn't such a bad wolf, but really, a misunderstood soul. Being exiled would have put a lot of hate in her heart, and I see why. Being unjustly accused would make anyone turn evil. I mean, Look at what Fell almost came to be, and just because he almost died cause he thought no one helped him. I do pity Morgra, if Brassa hadn't accused her like that, Brassa maybe wouldn't have died of guilt, and Morgra wouldn't have caused anything of that to happen. No, Morgra wasn't evil, she hated that she was unjustly accused, and so turned evil, but when she died, and looked back at what she had done, she knew it was horrible. Morgra wasn't evil, I pity her though. But at least she found a spot in Wolfy heaven up there somewere
