Emerald orbs gazed out from a slender ebony face. The winter had proven to be a rather easy one, unlike the year before. But the lands of Ge-rad weren't quite out of the cold weather. There were still remnants of the icy winter. Ayasha let the cool breeze pass through her coat barely noticing the chill. It seemed like it was merely a day ago that she and Kaemon had admitted something to themselves. It also seemed that only yesterday she had become Draeg's adopted daughter. It was this that she began to muse about. She had started out as the neglected youth of Ge-rad and then became the fiery conflicted fae, and Draeg's niece and now she was his daughter. Her life, as far as she could tell had been full of relationships with others that waned and in some cases ended. It seemed now though, that she was fairly stable in her life and in Ge-rad.
Ge-rad had been through quite alot, and she had been there for a lot of it. There were so many pack mates that she recalled, but barely any of them remained. Kaemon and her were the only pups left of the litter first born in Ge-rad. Looking back, the past two years of her life, the only two years of her life, she felt like everything that had lead up to now was just a memory. They weren't events in her life, they were images. For only being two, she had been through a lot. None of that mattered now, she was here because this was her home. She was here because she wanted to be reconnected to the ones she loved. Yes, Ayasha was capable of loving.
Throwing her head back she let out a long howl. One that had been held in her chest and throat for too long. She called out to Ge-rad, to her family that she missed. She wanted to see her sister again, wanted to see Kaemon again. She wanted to tell Draeg that he had always been there for her. She wanted to tell Shayla, that even though they didn't agree, she was still part of this pack. Ayasha was, and had been, tired of fighting. She was tired of going against everything and always pushing. For once, she was ready to let things happen and not fight the current of the river. Yeah, it sounded stupid to her too, sounded dumb and like some saying an old varg would tell a pup. But truthfully, fighting gets tiresome. And after fighting for two years, she was exhausted.
Her call ended in a downward tone. The lands of Ge-rad echoed her song before it finally disappeared. In all actuality she didn't care if anyone answered her call. She just wanted to say 'I'm home'. She had wanted to say that for a while. Wanted to be swept away in this feeling that finally she could accept life. But she wouldn't mind the company of her sister. They had been apart for so long. Family ties were the most important, and those were the one's Ayasha found the hardest.
