It was then that Ayasha realized what she had done. She ahd summoned the power of....a playful dragga. Of course, Ayasha knew little of playing. But she could catch on swiftly. She had seen her brotehr and sister do it, her mother with Skep. There had been countless othe rpups who did so. Aunt Lydair's pups played. Draeg's, every pup had to know how to play. Even she, somewhere in that tough soul she had to know how to play. It was imprinted as a learning instinct. Her mother had even tried to teach her, her mother who stood alone most days. Shaking her head Ayasha readied herself for the attack.
Before she could move a brown mass of fur hurled itself into her vision before colliding with her. REgaining her feet quickly Ayasha went on the offensive and dived in and out like a bird. Keeping out of reach with her small form.
"too old to keep up?" She chided.
After yet another attack Ayasha circled before coming to face Draeg. "And no, I don't plan on breeding anytime soon. I'm a kerl, I have everything to lose. Even if he was perfect for me, nothing's gaurantedd, look at my father? Oh wait you can't, he's never around." She growled, but even then she was in a play mode. Her words were not in play, but her body was. Was this some sort of sign to her that she wasn't ready for the life she was leading? Had she missed out on something?

Soaring through the air he collided into her, sending them both rolling across the field in a flurry of fur and playful nips. The amber varg couldn’t recall ever hearing of Ayasha become involved in a game of play as a pup let alone in her current state, having felt alone and neglected by the rest of her family Draeg knew that she had probably pushed everyone that had tried to get close to her away and in doing so missed out on a very important part of any pups development.
Although to some play might have seemed like nothing more then a useless waste of time and discouraged it there were many lera that knew the true value of such an investment, for to the lera play was far more than a simple pastime but rather it was a way of life. Varg held play in particularly high regard and frequently engaged each other in playful scuffles and mock fights on near day to day basis, playing sharpened a pups mind and allowed them to master the skill they would require later in life in order to survive, it strengthened the bond between siblings and packmates and was often used to relieve stress, play had even become a form of courting amongst potential mates. To Draeg, seeing Ayasha participating in a simple game with him was the first step in mending the damage her family had inadvertently done and getting her to reconcile with her father.
Ayasha quickly tore away from his grasp, taking advantage of her small size to dart back and forth between the amber varg as she went on the offensive. “What is your obsession with taunting me about my age?” he barked, swiping a playful paw at the younger varg as she came around for another pass. “Do I really come off as old?”
Continuing their little game Draeg gave chase to his appointed niece and godchild, yipping wildly and nipping playfully at her heals. Ayasha suddenly whirled around to face him and Draeg to come to a screeching halt, his tongue shooting out to catch the tip of her ebon muzzle before darting away from the attractive young femme. “I’m glad to hear it, and I’m sure your parents will be too once I tell them. Personally I always hoped that one of my good for nothing sons would‘ve made a move for you, but it seems that the wanderlust was a little too strong for them to ignore. More’s the pity.” he growled back, though he couldn’t help but frown upon at Ayasha’s negative feelings towards her father. “I can’t really argue with you there, still he is my friend and your father so I would appreciate it if you wouldn’t speak of him in such a manner around me…and maybe you could show him just a little bit of respect for me.”

Pushing away her negative feeling when Draeg reprimanded her, Ayasha trotted once angain and began circling the dragga.
"One of your sons, really?" She gave a chuckle, remembering the playgroups that the mother vargs would have to try and get some breathing time. She could recall some of Draeg's sons. But it had been so long since she had seen one.
"Old?" She questioned jockingly, circling the resting varg. "If I thought you were old I would've gone in for the kill a long time ago." She threw her head up and laughed. Glancing back at Draeg once her snickering had ceased she eyed him. Thinking to herself. How could she knock him over when he was so obviously more powerful than her.
"Look over there!" She barked, hoping that he would look away as she propelled herself through the air to collide with the dragga and knock him to the ground. Her being the victor in this puppy game that she had never played before.

Falling into step with Ayasha as she began making another circuit around him the amber varg eyed his adversary warily, watching her movements intently and carefully studying her mannerisms as he got a better feel for her technique. It wouldn’t be too difficult for him to overtake her, he was nearly twice her size and far more experienced in terms of combat, mock or otherwise, but he held back, wanting to see just how well Ayasha could handle herself in combat. Chuckling at her skepticism he took her jibes in stride, raising an amused brow and maintaining a steady pace as he continued his rotation. “Yes, as a matter of fact I think you and Lycaon would’ve made a cute couple if he hadn‘t decided to strike out on his own.”
She began to study him which Draeg had to admit pleased him a great deal, knowing that by doing so the fae was showing that she had a good head on her shoulders as well as enough sense to think things through instead of relying solely on sheer brute force. Her parents would be proud. He wondered how she would react to the current situation she had gotten herself into, knowing that she had sense enough not take him on directly but curious as to what strategy she would use against him. She barked, making a feeble attempt to distract him, and Draeg found that he had to muster all of his willpower not to roll his eyes and scoff at her choice of words. Only a pup would think of something so obvious. Still he managed a quick glance over his shoulder for her benefit, anticipating her pounce and silently counting down the seconds until she touchdown in his mind. ‘Three…two…one.’ He ducked his head just as Ayasha shot herself forward sending her flying over him, lifting his muzzle as her waist passed over his head to deal her a sharp nip before she came skidding back down to the ground. “To obvious.” he growled, backpedaling from the ashen femme. “Don’t bait yourself, bait your opponent. His weaknesses are your best advantage so use them. Try again!” It was clear that Ayasha didn’t need to depend on a pack in order to survive however from the look of it her fighting skills needed a little work, but with a little help and the proper Draeg was certain that she would be a formidable match for any varg. Kerl or otherwise. Why not get in some practice while she was still here?

(((sorry for the delay)))
Ayasha smiled thoughtfully at being with a varg from her own pack, someone who might have known. But it was pointless now. She came to a thud, realizing how childish her attempt had been. Had she really figured that it would work.
Shaking her fur off she stood, ebaressed at her attempt. Nodding she padded around Draeg once more before stopping. She tried to remember something that might help her. Something her father might have said. But he hadn't said much to her. Once again she circled, watching to see if he would tense up, that would be her cue that he was going to attack.
She picked up her pace as she circled, spinning around to go the other way. Maybe she could throw him off by her moves. Suddenly Ayasha found herself flat on the ground. Atleast an attacker wouldn't expect that.
"It's no use Draeg." she sighed getting to her feet.

Seeing that she wasn’t any worse for wear Draeg quickly fell back into step with his young opponent as she began circling him again, eager to see how she would respond to his criticism and find out what her next move would be. He tensed momentarily as Ayasha’s movement gradually began to slow before finally grinding to a halt in midst ride. Was it another trick? Draeg knew all too well that Ayasha could simply be attempting to lull him into a false sense of security before attacking again, was she trying to catch him off guard in hopes of discovering an opening in his defenses? However watching her it quickly became apparent that she was lost in thought, as though struggling to remember some pivotal piece of information that might aid her in her assault on the large alpha.
Seeing this Draeg couldn’t help feeling sorry for the fae as he watched on sympathetically it saddened him to think of everything Ayasha had missed out on due to her solitary nature and her father’s frequent absence throughout her life. She had none of the fond memories a pup should have of her father like learning how to hunt, he hadn’t taught her how to track herla across miles of rugged terrain or how to designate a target from amidst a throng of countless lera. Rather she had taught herself, watching the pack and practicing on her own until she had perfected her own unique style of hunting. There had been no sage advice, no firm warning or scolding lecture, she had went without the comforting words and reassurance of her peers. Cal had never fond over her or gone out of his way to give her any special treatment or more attention than either of her siblings like Draeg had occasionally done with Lycaon and Shayla. She had simply been left to her own devices, neglected, ignored, and emotionally abandoned. Draeg reasoned that perhaps that was why he was spending time with her now, Ayasha’s bitter disposition reflected on his failure to tend to the individual needs of each of the pack personally.
She seemed to give up after a moment, lavender gaze settling back down upon his amber form as she slowly began circling him once again. Again Draeg mirrored her movement, speeding his pace when she did and whirling around when she spun to through him off. Her movements seemed to be becoming even more and more unpredictable as she continued searching for a way to get past his defenses and score a solid blow against him. Suddenly Ayasha collapsed causing Draeg to let out a surprised yip as he rushed forward to see if she was alright. He wasn’t sure what had happened, one moment she was circling him and the next she was down on her belly with her paws sprawled out across the ground. Had she gotten dizzy from circling so many times or simply just tripped, more importantly was she alright? As he neared the downed femme Draeg couldn’t help but let out a small sigh of relief as Ayasha slowly started rising to her feet. “Ayasha are you alright?” he growled worriedly, pinning his ears as he listen to her defeated sigh before scowling and batting at her ear. “Only if you give up, come on and try again!”

Ayasha sighed and stood up, looking at Draeh with a different look. This was the most fatherly contact she had had, and Draeg wasn't even her father.
"Why are you helping me so much?" She asked. "I mean when I have been so bitter to everyone? " She scuffed a paw over the dirt and let out a sigh.
Suddenly Ayasha began to think of her sister, her sister who she hadn't seen in a while. she looked away for a moment, a feeling of lonliness creeping over her. Chilaili had been the one who had never given up on her, and now it seemed Ayasha needed her.............but she wasn't around. She had dissapeared like the wind that stole Ayasha's childhood away from her. Ayash knew that her family had loved her, but there was something wrong withher family. Something that had lead to this, this constant anger and seperation. If only she knew why, why what happened happened.
Her brother too had left, no where to be found. Sometimes she feared him dead. But she didn't deserve him anymore, she had pulled him, taken away all his life and love and given nothing back in return. Perhaps she could fix things. Maybe if she gave her love to Ajax and Xenos she could feel some peace.
"Draeg, why is it now that I realize how stupid I was that everyone is gone? Did they finally give up on me? Are you the only one left who hoped that I could maybe change?"

Backing away from the downed femme and allowing Ayasha a chance to get up the amber varg gave her ear an affectionate lick, signifying his relief at seeing that she was alright despite her unexpected fall. Meeting her gaze he sighed, falling back onto his haunches so that he was seated comfortably before Ayasha. “Ayasha listen to me, I have been Dragga of Ge-Rad since before you were born. Before that I was raising a family and taking in stray pups.” he growled gently, leaning forward to nuzzle her gently. “I was there the day you were born and I have watched you grow into the beautiful young fae you are today, you’re almost like a second daughter to me. My only regret was that I wasn’t there for you when you needed me to be, but regardless of how you’ve acted or what you’ve said in the past you will always be part of this pack and this family.”
A smirk playing his features Draeg rose to his feet, shaking the loose debris of grass and dry leaves that clung to his pelt. “Now I know for a fact that your family hasn’t given up on you.” he continued. “Skep left Ge-Rad for the same reason my pups did, as much as your brother may have loved it here he wanted more out of life. You can only stay in one place so long before getting restless and the need for adventure consumes you. And as for your sister…” Pausing momentarily Draeg rolled his shoulders into a light shrug, flicking his exceedingly bushy tail behind him. “Well before she disappeared your aunt Lydair used to tell me that my Trile was rather fond of Chilaili, and I haven’t seen either Trile or your sister in quite some time.”
((urgh, my muse is gone))

ayasha smiled. "Draeg.." She couldn't think of what to say to him. She may not have known it, but he had been there. She licked him on his cheek and stood up.
"I guess now I finally feel like I can really leave. Though it saddens me to do so." She looked at Draeg. " My brother, though I don't know where he is now, I know he cared for me. He still does. Chilaili? I guess I should've seen it coming, that Trile had his eye on her." She laughed.
"I wish I could come back and live here again." She paused. "But right now I have so much to discover. Draeg, I know I haven't been the best, and I never told you how I thought you were my father." She smiled and laughed. "the first male scent I smelled was yours, from your fur. As I got older I realized that you weren't." She gave a play bow and slapped the ground before prancing around him. "But you'll always be like a father to me." She trotted away and turned.
"I'll come back and visit, trust me!" She lept into the air before turning and leaving Ge-rad. She didn't know when she would return, how long it would be till she saw him again. She didn't know.
