"You're never selfish," she murmured in Shako's ears as a response, understanding the importance of family to her mate. Her family was long gone, almost a forgotten memory, but for Shako family seemed to tug at him all around, and he never seemed at rest with the fact of Shunke...
"I love you..." she stated as quietly as the first statement, before returning her attention to the group, ears growing hot out of embarassment. She had interrrupted something, she knew of it, and it was nowhere in her position as acceptable. The least she could do was remain quiet as Shako and the others carried on. Kairi came in soon afterwards, and though she knew very little of this she-Varg, (both have been rather elusive and their paths crossed little) she knew of her name and the fact that she was Shako's adopted sister. She nodded her maw in greeting, and then carried on to do so towards Bane when she was introduced to Shako's brother. She took a quick moment to examine him, for after all, Cwen had given him a placement in the pack.
She allowed herself to lean on her mate slightly, however not so much that she would loose her balance if he decided to move from that spot, but just enough to ensure that he was there. The burning in her ears, out of embarassment from earlier, has just subsided when Shako had dropped the question, and the burning returned again, this time it was patial with hope as well as embarassment.
The two had discussed such matters before, some months ago when the pack did not seem ready for another litter, for already Uskiya and Lydair had been expecting and given birth, and neither Shako nor Yelae was ready for such a title as parentage, her mate did not wish to rush things. Of course, Yelae had felt a certain ticking of her maternal clock, if that was what it was called, not so long ago, and now that Shako with his inquiry stated he was ready, Yelae was more than ever.
Of course, there was the fact of the Alphas. Cwen had stated not long ago that the pack, though recently declining in numbers due to dispatching members, was still rather large, and a new litter of cubs could pose as too much to handle, considering the fact that winter was shortly coming. Also there was the fact of her position. Despite the fact that Shako was Beta, it could not help the fact that Yelae was a Sikla, and that was frowned upon by most packs for a Sikla to breed.
Her eyes warilly looked towards Draeg for his answer, as well as towards Cwen, and to Yelae, as a she-Varg in her prime who was more than happy to become a mother, it seemed to take a long time for an answer. Draeg looked at Yelae for a moment, and her blue-green eyes caught his, and she brought her eyes to stare at the ground with much interest, shuffling her paws. After another minute or two, Draeg stated the pair's answer, and Yelae could not be more than happy to hear that they had received the Alpha's blessing. Of course, being the demure female that she was, only a small, happy smile was placed across her maw, but anyone who knew her well enough would know her true feelings.
//That sucked, I know, but I'm pleased that I squeazed that post out.//
