//.Autumn Afternoon.//(Trile and Whoever Else)

[Lydair]

A small, slender Varg trotted through the forest, her small paws lifting with every light step she took; her shoulders bobbed and hips bunched as she padded within her new pack terra, Ge-Rad. She had yet to meet her drappa and dragga; yet to explore its deepest boundaries or hunt on its lush lands. The sun that shone so fiercely above her lit the way through the shadows and trees; the light punched holes and Fenris' flaming orb was clearly visible.
Although the she-Varg was slender and lithe, a picture of adolescence, she was, in reality, ten seasons old. Her cyan orbs glinted with intelligence, wisdom, and cunning as she stalked silently through her new terra, nostrils flaring as she scented the air, tasting its hues of life.

Her back was a lovely mix of a deep cobalt- almost a black, yet tinges of blue lit its ends. Her pelt, thick and plushy, soaked in the sun, and her tongue lolled from her mouth- the heat was not so fierce today, she decided, but she moved into the shade anyway. The white that breeched the beautiful black-clue ran all down her shoulders and hips, clawed up her throat and covered her small belly and chest. The light reflected from her fur, from her large, glinting azure orbs- they held such a mysterious glint to them, none, not herself, her deceased brother, or her dam could unscramble the anomolous gaze.
Sighing, she lay down, legs sprawling behind her as she enjoyed the day. Her ears prerked and twitched as she lay her thin, short muzzle on her dainty paws, waiting for the company of another Varg. Above her, the sky was afire with streaks of a ruddy orange, a glistening pink- she could not fathom where it ended, for all of her intelligence and wisdom age had brought. Liftign her head, a light, soft, and lovely howl erupted from her maw- it was quiet, its tones mixing with the wind, and she doubted any would hear it, but it was a pack-call none-the-less.

Her head once again came to rest on her petite white paws; her thin yet muscular limbs curled towards her as she felt the cool leaves press against her belly and chest. Yawnign widely, Lydair's eyes scanned the trees, waiting for the presence of another.

A large, white and gray Varg padded through the trees of the Ge-Rad boundaries. He wondered who else would make an appearance in the pack, since a new Dragga and Drappa had took it over.

His silver fading paws treaded heavily on the leaves below him, for his body was not petite. The Autumn wind blew through his thickening fur, a sure sign of Autumn. Along with his winter coat developing, the once vividly pronounced silver on his underbelly and below was now fading, blending in with his white coat. His silver markings around his gold eyes, on hi muzzle and down his neck were also fading. Another sure sign winter was around the corner.

As the breeze blew again, Shakó could smell the scent of another Varg. The scent was fain, but he was sure he smelt Ge-Rad. Padding onward, his gold eyes laid upon an small, femme half-Varg. Her coat was made up of a blackish color, along with a lighter gray and white on her underbelly.

Shakó watched from a distance as the Varg sighed, and seemed to take in the day. His curiosity of this new Varg burned within him, letting him step out of shadow into the Varg's line of sight. "Hello," he said happily. "I never seen you here. What's your name?" his tail wagged slightly, as his fading-gray lips curved into a grin.

[Trile]

Trile sat rather nervously outside the freshly dug den behind him and stared at everything around him. The crisp breeze was one of which he had known for a very long time, and as it blew his long, white coat about him he sniffed deeply. It carried the dry smell of the pines all around him and other scents of the forest that he knew all to well, having never been in any open place during his short life. The sky was as telltale blue as ever, and the blinding edges of the sun that were able to shine into the forest were as familiar as his own paw. But somehow everything seemed new and different to him, and he kept looking around warily, as if expecting something to jump at him. Trile had been born in the forest with his littermates Kop, Shayla, and Lycaon to Cwen and Draeg. He had been raised in the den beside his brothers and sister and his mothers warm belly. The constant scent of his father had always surrounded him, and he had known nothing but the darkness for a long time. Than he had discovered the forest outside of his birth spot and he had stepped into the light and began to learn of all things of the Earth. As soon as he was used to adventuring outside of the dark den, he had wrestled constantly with Kop to assert his dominance, arguing with him but enjoying his company and facing the dangers of cub hood together. He had played and laughed with Shayla and watched her suspiciously as her cunning strengthened and she threatened to pummel Trile every day out of sure wit. He had never been sure of Lycaon, so mostly he ignored his mute brother and listened almost scornfully to the stories Huts had to tell. It had soon become clear that he loved the ones to do with hunting, and he had come to long to be big enough to go on his first hunt. But four or so moons seemed a very long time to wait. But he still knew so little than, so he had continued to live within the protection of Cwen and Draeg, though he had never been close to either, and rather feared them both. Trile had grown up to death, and though he had never really understood, when Huts was gone it was no big shock to him, and he had been glad to leave her decaying body behind to the falling leaves and the cackling birds. But all of a sudden Trile found himself the son of a Dragga and Drappa, and he was now surrounded by strange wolves that were his pack mates. It was all so sudden, and as he looked around at the familiar terrain, knowing he had not been born anywhere near here, he felt strangely detached from it all.

Trile was growing edgy; he didn’t like being alone all by himself for long amounts of time. But he stayed where he was, waiting for someone to come to him. He hoped for his mother or Kop or Shayla, but he would be glad to see even one of those strange new Ge-Rad wolves! But as the cub waited nothing came to assure him that all was right, and soon he got up restlessly, casting a shifty look behind them. “Fine, I’ll find them,” he growled rather bad temperedly, but his eyes held a bit of fear in them. He didn’t know where his family had gone, so he chose a direction randomly, hoping it would lead him to them, and began to pad amongst the shadows.

As he went Trile noticed something he hadn’t: there was a strange yet faint smell about this place. He investigated, sniffing bushes and trees and along certain spots on the needle covered ground, catching hints of it in different places. Finally, he realized what it must be. “Wolves,” he breathed, snuffling along an old dead log. But all of these scents were faint, as if the weather of time was driving them all away. But as he sniffed a large rock, he thought that many moons ago some other pack had lived here before Ge-Rad, and he wandered who and why they were gone. War, famine? The first sounded much more interesting, so to drive away his anxiety he began to imagine the pack that had once been here falling apart at the cruel, merciless jaws of there rivals.

It sustained him for a long time, but he had not seen hide nor hair of Draeg, Cwen, Kop, Lycaon, or Shayla. He kept on getting distracted from his fantasy to wander rather nervously if he was even in Ge-Rad anymore. Trile had never been superstitious, instead he was very logical and down to earth, and so he did not even bother to wander if the rival pack in his story had killed his own family. To make himself feel better, he went back to his thoughts with forced adieu. Nothing interesting happened until he got to the part where a white Delta was the only one standing, surrounded by five murderous wolves and ready to fight to the end. It was than as he was passing by an unusual bush that a howl came ringing from just the other side of the clearing. Trile jumped and, seized by his instinct which was telling him to flee, and gave a huge, involuntary shudder as he went to run and tried to hold himself back. His blood pumped wildly along with his beating heart as he crouched to the ground, his eyes alert, fixed on the bushes where the other wolf must lie. He knew the sound of his own blood family, and whoever this voice belonged to, it wasn’t one of them. The seconds ticked by, and he wondered if it was friend or foe. He hoped harder than ever that it was just one of his new pack mates. But if he sat here for forever how would he know, and he would probably be spotted soon enough anyway, and maybe the wolf new where his parents were. Trile had always been very aware of his own limbs since the time he was very young, and he crept forward towards the bushes with new boldness in his tread. He would know immediately if it was a Ge-Rad Varg. Trile did not hear anything until another wolf’s voice, this time a males, sounded. He froze again, undecided if it were familiar or not. After a moments hesitation he stuck his nose into the bush, its branches shaking slightly, and stared at the hybrid Lydair, and the white male Shako. Trile nearly laughed in relief and stepped out into the clearing, the bush rustling considerably.

[Lydair]

Lydair's ears perked as the bracken beside her trembled and rustled, but as she did she whipped her head around, lip curling back as another Varg stepped from the shadows. the faint scent of Ge-rad clung to the male's fur, adn she relaxed; muscles that had bunched and tenses loosened condsiderably; her tail curled around her body from the arc it had suddenly shot to. Her own tail wagged slightly as the white mann-Varg spoke to her with a smile, and she gave him a smile in return, stretching her long yet muscular limbs out before her and resting her dainty head on small, white paws."Good day to you, he-Varg," she chirped, voice light, soft, and silken on the wind. The flora danced aroudn her as it flirted with the trees, and Lydair felt the urge to hunt, to run, anything but lay here, however fine and glorious the day seemed.
"I am Lydair- Ge-Rad's healer fae." She barked sweetly, cyan orbs gleaming with friendliness- and, as always, that odd spark that never disappeared. The brambles and bushes aroudn her rustled again and her head swung to face them, ears perked and head cocked. Her maw exploded intoa grin as a tiny nose peeekd through the bushes and a cub stepped out, his tail wagging and creamy pelt gleaming in the sun. Lydair grinned and thumped her tail against the ground. "Hello, Trile...how are you today?" Lydair licked her muzzle and closed her eyes, thinking of juicy herla and warm, fresh meat, but she sighed...she could go hutning later, with the pack.

Shakó nodded at Lydair, showing he under stood. At first, he was a little wary about her, because of her reacion when he first spoke. But he realized he must have scared her, since her words were warm and welcoming. He silently chuckled a little, for he knew she was in Ge-Rad, and she seemed to think quite highly of her position by the way she answered him. "Good day to you, Lydair."

He was about to return his name, but the rustling of a bush caught his auds. Perking his ears at the sound, his hackles raised a bit. Inhailing the air around him, Shako could smell another Varg, one who also had the scent of Ge-Rad. Stepping out of the bushes, Shakó saw the creamy white coat of a young pup. But the action of Lydair, his name was Trile and was no foe.

Shakó's hackles relaxed, and he was able to breath freely once more. "Hello, Trile, is it?" he said, in a sort of questioning tone. "My name is Shakó. I'm one of the Ge-Rad warriors," he added in a friendly tone, looking back at the hungry- eyed Lydair.

[Trile]

Trile, being as young as he was, did not notice Shako’s hackles bristle, but the air seemed to tense slightly and he froze, rather unsure. Than Lydair smiled at him, and he smiled back, wagging his tail at the familiar face. “I’m fine,” he growled. There was a prolonged, uncomfortable silence and he was starting to think he should have waited for his family and never come here. He threw a glance at the large, white Shako to see what he was thinking. However the white cub could not read his placid eyes. “Shako…, I think I’ve seen you before, when you joined.” He growled, nodding his head up at the wolf and dipping his tail in respect. A Ge-Rad warrior? He thought back to his fantasy and than looked more closely at Shako. He was very big and strong, so fighting must be more of a talent for him than other wolves. Trile could fight, but beneath his huge mass of fur he was thin and small, the perfect build for hunting. He could hold his own against his brother though, and he liked dodging and jumping at Kop, imagining he was some great herla that was to be taken down.

[Lydair]

Lydair's ears and tail twitched as she gazed at Shako, azure orbs sparkling and her maw crinkled into a smile for the two Vargs. Lydair was considerably smaller than the large, muscular shako, but beneath her thick coat her own muscles rippled as she moved to sit closer to Trile and Shako. "A warrior?" she barked, impressed. "My..." she fumbled for her words before continuing. "My brother was a warrior..." She crouched down, cyan eyes grinning as her gaze switched to Trile. "And you are our hunter, Trile?" she half-teased; she could see him becoming a promising hunter when he grew.
Lydair was indeed proud of her role in Ge-Rad; only one healer was expected and she was chosen to be it. She had learned from her mother at an early age, just at 6 weeks, and since then her knowledge of the medicinal herbs in Translyvania had increased; her wisdom had grown and, although she was rather young, her eyes gleamed with intelligence, cunning, and wisdom.

The white and gray male's golden eyes laid on the young Trile, as he dipped his tail in respect. Looking a bit confused, Shakó staightened his nesk ans shook his thick white mane. "There's no need to do that," he said to the young cub. Never before has any varg paid as much respect to Shako as Trile. To be honest, it mad his a bit unconfortable. "But when I first joined Ge-Rad, that was a long time ago. A different Dragga and Drappa, and different pack members. Of course, Kai came back, but I don't know about the others." He paused for a moment, as if to rack his brains. "Oh yeah, you must have seen me when I was requesting to continue to live within the Ge-Rad packlands," he said happily. And indeed he was, to be able to say within his own boundries.

Shakó's golden eyes turned their atention to Lydair now, who had spoken next. She mentioned her brother being a warrior, and his thought turned to his own brothers and sisters. "Yes," he said slowly. "the warrior blood runs deep in my vains. My mother and father, too have the same build, along with all the rest of our pack. Well, my birth pack. All muscular, and built like a true warrior; well, all except for one. . ." his voice trailed off, as his brain began to file through his memories again. His head dropped a little, and eyes gleaming with sadness. It was foolishness that seperated him, but her? His sister? That was cruel.
Oh, how he longed to see her again, and his mind's eye could see her beautiful ebony coat, and how gray it must look now due to the upcoming winter. she told him, when the first snowflake fell, they would meet again. He could hardly wait. "But even she is now a Nietan," he spoke again, and even though he let a grin slip onto his face, the sadness still lingered in his eyes.

[Trile]

Trile sat himself down on the ground as a chill breeze swept over him, just able to ripple his thick white fur. It could not penetrate to his skin though, and he was rather hot. Trile wished for cooler areas, and he often thought of the land his father came from. The young cub’s fur was much thicker than all of his siblings, and even the fall days made him feel slightly hot. But at this age little could dampen his curiosity and his will to play, so he kept right on up there with Kop and Shayla. Trile almost completely ignored his strange brother, unsure of what to make of him.

He looked up at Lydair, clearly pleased. He straightened a bit, a proud look entering his blue, amber mingled eyes. “Yes,” he growled, and then faltered a bit. “Well, I’ve never hunted before, and we are Putnar so we are all hunters, but I want to be really good at it. I can’t wait to go on my first hunt!” A hungry look filled his eyes and his tongue hung from his mouth eagerly. He couldn’t wait until he was big enough to join the Ge-Rad wolves in a pack hunt, taking down a moose or a red tail deer. He saw himself as an adult, fast and lithe, chasing down a rabbit. He began to salivate.

Trile didn’t notice Shako’s pain, but he pricked his ears up. “I’d fight if I had too, but Kop’s way better at it.” He thought rather resentfully about his strong brother. They were always at ends and were as different from each other as a crow and an eagle, yet at the same to rather alike. They were both very determined and obstinate, and both had a defiant streak about them. But Kop was more sensitive to others emotions, why’ll Trile barely noticed when one was upset or had complicated thoughts going on. Trile thought very simply and was very logical and realistic while Kop had more intricate thoughts and had belief. But they were wolves, and they were brothers.

[Lydair]

Lydair laughed, voice light but loud as her cyan orbs glittered with amusement. 'it will come soon, Trile, before you even know it. and you'll be up on your feet, workign your hardest to impress some fae..." She grinned and gently nudged the cream-pelted male wolf with her short, thin muzzle. "And Draeg will teach you how to hunt properly, I'm sure. By the time you will go, you'll be the finest hunter in Transylvania." Trile was not her cub, nor her sibling, but she felt much pride for the he-cub.
turning to Shako, her own orbs dimmed as she caught sight of the sadness that had clouded his golden orbs. "You seem like a true warrior, Shako." she spoke softly, tenor voice wispy. "What is wrong?" Lydair nuzzled the warrior gently, trying to bring him comfort. As eh continued speaking, this time of Sarnes, Lydair's eyes flared; she ahd heard of the viciious Vargs, no they could not be called that, for no true wolf would pick on her own kind- the brutal fools, the insane, that longed to call themsleves strong and powerful- in truth, they were cowards...

"I am sorry.." Lydair spoke, sadness in her own tone. She disliked to see others saddneed, especcially friends like Shako. The hybrid stood up and padded over to the warrior; she lay down gingerly beside him, long tail flicking to wrap around her. Her long limbs folded as she lay more comfortably, gazing at the male, azure eyes gleamign with sorrow. She whined softly, barely audible, and licked Shako's muzzle gently...

Shako blush a little as Lydair's cool tounge licked his muzzle. "thanks for that," he said quietly. "It's just- my sister, my blood. I miss her, is all." His gold eyes lit up, as he looked at Lydair. she was indeed a caring Varg. "You mentioned a brother, surley you understand. . ."

Shako couldn't ignore Trile, as he told the tale of his siblings. "It sounds like you'll become a great hunter, Trile. Hopefully we'll all go on a pack hunt, I miss those the best. Indeed, it's the best way for a hunter to learn." shako wagged his tail a little, a pack hunt was right for him. He remembered watching his pack hunt, they way they took charge of the deer, it was just like a dance. "And every wolf has their place in their pack. Every Varg has their stong point, and yours is hunting." A smile flickered over his troubled face. "Keep up that attitude, and you'll become the best hunter for sure."

His golden eyes lingered back at Lydair, as he let his wet, pink tounge run over her muzzle.

[Lydair]

The hybrid frowned sadly, leaning against the he-Varg. "Yes..." She murmered, her own cyan orbs pooling with sadness. "I spoke of a brother...though he left this world long ago." She remembered the boldnes of Draug- he was kind and generous, and very loving- he had been her keeper when Desdemona had ran them out of her packlands. "Yes.." she repeated, sighing gently. She gazed back at Shako, azure eyes glistening. As a feeling coursed through her, sending shivers running along her body, straight to her paws, she felt confused and made herself tear her gaze from the white male.

Lydair smiled warmly at Shako as he spoke confidence to Trile and she let a grin curl her maw. "He will...He'll be the best hunter here, just wait." she murmered, letting her white muzzle fall on shako's back; her lids drooped and she yawned, revealing glinting fangs. Pulling away, her lips parted to speak to Shako again, but she nearly yelped in surprise as his tongue ran across her muzzle. Deciding she liekd the feeling, she sighed softly, not out of annoyance, but out of happiness, and settled her head on the warrior's back again, trying her hardest to not let the sun lull her into sleep.

Shako felt the warmth of the femme's body lax on his white back. It was a bit of comfort to him, it sent a wooping sensation surging through his body, through every nerve end he possesed. His eyes meet hers, the feeling seemed to leap into his very heart. She was sad, he could tell. "I'm sorry to hear that," he said sencerally.

He couldn't imagine what it must be like, losing one so close to the heart. But he knew he must comfort her, as he nudged his muzzle against the back of her neck, trying to comfort her. The feeling seemed to comfort him, to give him a new view on life.

[Lydair]

Lydair's small, round, white-trimmed ears flicked to catch the male's voice, and as he nuzzled her she knew she wouldn't get any sleep, not so soon. Pulling back, she spoke softly. "I cannot imagine- losing one, yet knowing that they are so close. I would not have seperated from Draug, even if a thousand packlands lay between me- unless he was dark, and a loner. but he was not. He was sweet, and kind..." She thought how closely Draug reminded her, at least with his caring personality- how much he reminded her of another wolf. Her orbs flashed green and her eyes darted away suddenly, making a mental telling of where Trile was. She knew of the danger he was in...

Lydair turned back to Shako, searching his unpentrable gaze for a brief moment before her garceful cranium slipped down, to lay at his feet. Her tail curled, slipping from first one side to the next before it lay comfortably beside her; she enjoyed her time with the bright-eyed male; she just hoped it wasn't too obvious.
