A young white and black varg was walking along the balkar pack lands looking for the first. The young varg was called WhiteFang he came from the north looking to join the balkar. WhiteFang knew he had what it takes to be in balkar he has been training most of his life to fight. When whiteFang was done walking around seeing that no one was around. He sat down and lifted his maw into the air and holwed. When he was done he waited for the first to come or another member of the balkar. WhiteFang sat there and thought about the postion he was in he had walked on to the balkar pack lands and he did it with out permission. He could be badly hurt or even killed for this. But stilled he waited for some one to come and answer.

[glow=red,2,300]*A mono note was played above the forest's snowy canopy and the red pelted First stopped in his tracks, lifted his head and tail in a dominant stance as his auds perked forward to listen to the howl. A stranger has wandered into his lands and his burning ember orbs flashed with a merciless anger as he growled deeply, turning swiftly from where he stood and bounded off into the dead, thick undergrowth where, thanks to his perfectly blending pelt, he was invisable - a reason why he was a great stalker of those he tracked and hunted. It was not long before the scent of the stranger passed his dilating nasal and the white male came into his sightline. Leoh gave a silent snarl as he slowed his movement and became deadly silent within the wilted bracken, his steps were light and soundless - he was in fact the deadly hunter. As he neared the edge of the forest's shelter he stood up and stepped out onto the thick, snowy clearing where WhiteFang rested within. Leoh was small, short stocky legs kept him perfectly balanced. Though he seemed a pushover, he was incredibly durable and fast - surving something most vargs couldn't imagine. "You rest here with little fear and worry in your stance varg. Why have you crossed the borders of my territory? If it is a challange you look for, do not wish to hope - a pack is not something you would gain if you fought me.." Leoh's vocals quivered as his voice emitted hi white rimmed maw, deep and full of an unseen anger and hurt that caused him great pains within the bowls of his guts. No wold could even dream to think of the restless..sleepless nights he endured..*[/glow]

WhiteFang turned his head around when he heard the first address him. WhiteFang turns and studys the firsts apperance.
You must be the first of balkar. My name is WhiteFang I have come on your land to ask for permission to jion your pack. I did not come here looking for a fight but if I have too I will
WhiteFang looks around too see if any other balkar was around trying to ambush him. When he sees no one the he turns his gaze back to the Leohlic.

[glow=red,2,300]*Leoh glared back towards WhiteFang and he growled deeply, a stream of mist emitting his shimmering black nasal as he took a step forward, beginning a steady walk around the white pelted male, observing each muzcle and his stance. This wolf seemed strong, yet his stance was still too dominant for Leoh's liking - it was as if he was still trying to challange the First. But he let it slip and as he rounded off to his front Leoh stood tall, even though his size defined that. "You wish to join the Balkar huh? I shall let you into our ranks, but under strict supervision of not jsut myself, but by others. You are the newset ranking wolf now, and you are seen as a stress reliever. If others attack you, you must let them - fight back onto if they mean to kill you. Welcome to the Balkar.." With that Leoh took a step back and to the side, almsot as if he were offering the land to this wolf - but in fact he revieled the appearance of a far larger and older male who now made his way from the thick undergrowth. He went by the name of Fren and was the oldest ranking member of the Balkar today - he had lived through Morgra's rein and Tamra's, and now he even struggled on to see the reign on Leohlic..*[/glow]
[glow=blue,2,300]*Fren growled deeply as a wry grimace spread across his scarred and tattered maw, making him look disfigured and partially mutated - it was enough to scare the life out of little cubs, though one known as Alasia found him rather amusing...which was an odd case for Fren and the memory would never leave his mind of that odd occasion. The grey pelted male walked proudly towards WhiteFang and and stood before him, looking down with steely grey orbs. "Welcome to the Balkar WhiteFang, i'm sure your time here will be well spent. I am Fren, your tutor for now...if you have any questions then ask myself...do not bother the First, for his duties are often large and long spent." With a quick flex of his torn ear he looked round to see the crimson pelted First gone - away back onto his job of scouting and hunting for the pack. It was just the youth and the elderly now..*[/glow]

WhiteFang studys the new wolf who was hidding behind Leohlic. He looks over him to see that this was not a wolf to mess with all of his scars most have been in a lot of fights.
Why do I need a tutor I know how to fight and I know how to hunt why is there a reason I need to have some wolf watch over me and teach me stuff?
Whitefang stands and waits for an answer from the older varg. WhiteFang knew he might have been disrespectful to the older varg but he wanted an answer and he was not backing down after the long way he had come so far.

[glow=blue,2,300]*Fren growled deeply and frowned at the smaller male, holding back his teeth for the disrespect he had been given to the new recruit - he had more patience than Leohlic, and a lot of the time he prefered to keep it that way otherwise many Balkar would be dead by now. "I am your tutor because though you claim to know how to fight, that is not all you need to know to become a true Balkar. You must know the territory, know the vargs, know when and who to attack. And also those to respect and speak to with a much more demanded tongue..." With that he snarled and lifted his paw, bringing it down sharply towards WhiteFang - not to hurt him badly, more as a warning for his cheek. If he were to become a Balakr, he msut follow rules and respect his elders, speaking with much more disipline than a Kerl...*[/glow]

Whitefang takes the attack and looks sharplyat the wolf.
So when am I going to start to learn all of this? Is there some kind of training or are you going to teach me this anywhere?
Whitefangs waits for an answer from his older varg.

[glow=blue,2,300]*Fren grinned as he watched the youth take the attack - at least he had learnt something already from Leohlic. Calmly he growled and looked back round to the great mountains that towered aobve the forest, the Carpathian range where many souls were lost to land slides, mud slides or general starvation and weather. But not the Balkar, they thrived under the mountain's shelter and on top of the mounatin's thick skin. Looking back to WhiteFang Fren spoke with a deep, gruff voice, one of knowledge and understanding. "Up there is wherer you train and learn to fight and stalk. Often we hold hunting trips up there for the mountain goats - but that will happen in the spring when they are giving birth, we do not want to risk injuries or exhaustion through the winter. For now we hunt in the low lands where we may scavenge for ourselves seeing as larger prey is scarce." He turned his back on the white varg and began to pad trough the deep drifts of snow towards a paw trodden path through the thick covering of trees before he looked back at the youngster, signalling him to follow. He would teach him the knowledge and ways of the Balkar - but this woudln't take long...WhiteFang would just have to learn to be mor paitent.*[/glow]

Whitefang listens closely to what the older varg said. He then follows after him.Walking behind him out of respect for the older vargs strength.Whitefang follows after him wondering where he was taking but whitefang was to exicted about joining balkar to even think about it. But then he remembered where he was and became alert yet again ready for an kind of attack.

[glow=blue,2,300]*Fern noted to himself that WhiteFang was learning fast, and was pleased to see him fall in line behind himself, the larger and more dominant of the two NightHunters. Still he kept up his pace and sighed deeply to himself, enjoying the cold winters day. Great bursts of Fenris' sunrays weedled their way through the bare branches of disiduous trees. There was nothing in particular Fern could actually say at this point apart from tell him what kind of plants grew and what animals thrived within the borders of the Balkar's territory...but instead he knew that would only bore the cub, and it wasn't exactly what most wolves wished to know - apart from possibly the species of lera they were capable of hunting when conditions were better. It did not take Fren long to reach a heavily thorned and overgrown path junction where he stopped and turned round to meet the gaze of WhiteFang. Growling deeply he stared into the youth's eyes, pushing him almost to look away in submission - and if he didn't, then he could soon learn. "This pathway leads to the Balkar's Den. Seeing as a Den is where bitches give birth and raise their young and the Balkar is a male only pack, it became unused and now the path to where it leads is blocked up almsot entirely by bracken and other shrubs. Now it is off limit to everyone bar the First and who he allows to go near it...he has some secrets and hidden emotions that he won't let die there..." Fern growled and frowned, looking up and towards the dense leaf litter and bracken. He was sure he knew what it was that Leoh kept hidden there...but it was a sad truth that he thought best not to share with others. Looking back to WhiteFang's curious muzzle he growled deeply and shook the feeling off, pushing himself forward back onto the snow hidden track, his ears perked forward and grey eyes watching ahead. "...don't ask, just keep moving.." There wasn't much more to teach, jsut make sure he knew the size and the entrances to the pack's territory and then lead him to the Assembly Point, Leoh would deal with him after that..*

Scar appeared once again from no where, he had known whitefang for a long time, he had so far trained him, taught him everything he needed to know. The last time he saw Whitefang, Scar was in an erratic way, threatening to throw himself from the top of Wolfbanes castle, this was a ploy however to see how Whitefang reacted, to die that way would be shaming. He made his presence known
If i may, Fren, i shall look after this one if you will, make sure he keeps his nose out of business thats not his own, i know him, i know how he thinks, what he's likely to do. So if i may

[glow=blue,2,300]*A sound within the bushes reached Fren's auds and they flexed back as his nose began to scent the air furiously, catching the scent of the Balkar dubbed Scar just seconds before he showed himself to the two. Fren's lips curled back into a devilish snarl, already mutated muzzle turning truly disfigured as he growled dangerously to Scar. His position in the pack, and not to mention his authority, would not be challanged by this balkar, who was many times younger than himself. Leoh had appointed this task to himself alone, and he would not give it up to show himself as a weaker wolf. If Scar knew better as a NightHunter - he would back down from Fren and leave the two in peace for their teaching to continue. He had little left to teach him, and after that it was the rest of the Balkar who would pitch in to watch the newest member to their group - but for now, Scar would have to leave. Turning his body round fully he approached Scar, towering over the smaller wolf his aging breathe rattled and ran past Scar's. He was not in a good mood, and the pain that was growing in the joints of his spine everyday made Fren far more ill-tempred than he once was. "Be wise Scar, leave the cub with me till i am finished and then you may have your share. I have not finished my teachings. Wait at the Assembly point..." He continued to snarl as he turned and bent down to nip at WhiteFangs heels, driving him forward through the forest to their next place of teachings. The great lake that formed on the outskirts of the Balkar's land - where it first came to be Leohlic's time to join the Balkar - lay at the bottom of the great mountain that rose up from the territory. For many lera it was the spot to come and drink, to quench their dreadful thirst. This was their main hunting grounds, and it would do WhiteFang good to know where to gather when Leoh announces a hunt..*[/glow]

Whitefang watches as Scar comes up and starts talking to the older varg. WhiteFang stands back and decides not to jump in. It was the older vargs that were talking and that he should stay out because of his respect of both of them. When it seemed that the both of them were done talking and that fren was the one who was going to teach him. He walks ahead of him because of the older vargs nips. When the two reach the hunting grounds whitefang turns around to fren and starts to speak.
I know how to hunt so why did you take me here. Do you use these grounds for a meeting place also?

Scar looks at Fren and agrees, it was foolish really, his prejudgement he had believed the teching to be complete, for now however he walked away back into the shadows he once emerged from, leaving as if he was never there. A Trait of every Balkar.

[glow=blue,2,300]*Fren looked down at WhiteFang as they neared the great Lake. He had mentioned nothing about hunting, yet the cub already seemed to know what Fren was intending to say. He growled deeply and sat back on his haunches - still taller than WhiteFang his lips twitched with annoyance before he passed it by and looked out across it's frozen exterior, remembering the fun the pack once had in swimming on hot summer days or hunting the dim-witted herla by it's banks. A flinting smile passed his mangled lips before he shook it off and then turned back to the young Night Hunter. "It's a good thing you can hunt young one, otherwise you might not have gotten here at all. I was not wishing to teach you the skills in hunting - for that would take too long and frankly, i'd rather be hunting you than teaching you." His gruff voice told the youth it all - he was not happy with his duty, but he went through with it anyway. He was seen as an old grump now...not the old and far more placid Balkar who was once known and respected by all. "But anyway. I brought you here to show you our pack's main hunting grounds - or at least where we assemble before a hunt. Leohlic will either lead us up the mountains when food down here within the forest is scarce, or if the herds are abundant here we shall leave from the meeting place and partake in hunting around the lake." With his final word said he got up and stretched his old joints, each one echoing with a sicekning crack as he grunted and began to walk past WhiteFang, his grey eyes showing his age and the yeaars of experience he had endured with it...not to mention the leaders he had followed - being one himself at am point, for a short period of time before Tratto moved in. Turning to glance at WhiteFang he growled deeply and sighed, stopping for a breif moment to speak then carried on his walk, leaving WhiteFang with the decission to follow or to stay behind. "I've finished my teachings. You can either follow me back to the Assemly Point or you can stay and just find your own way there. but i'm sure your little friend Scar is dying to see you..." *[/glow]
