Beams of light inched there way further and further along the sides of the Carpathian Mountains till they crested the lofty peaks and peered their prospecting eyes over the land that was List. The treetops seemed to bend ever so slightly towards the warmth that the light of Fenris provided to them. Their luscious foliage spreading their arms as if to welcome the god with no resistence at all. The waving fields of the rich emerald grass claws away at the sky above reaching for the few mists of clouds that occupied the multi-hued morning vastness. However through all the tranquility four figures stood out as they were anything but tranquill. The forms of three young varg and that of an ivory adult mann fresh on their paws, nipping at each of them at intervals keeping them up to his set pace. His pelt as shimmering as the winter snow that seemed so long gone as the summer heat began to beat it's way down on the land.
The cubs first task of becoming a true Listern varg had begun and their endurance would be tested to its brink of collapse. Sudak had covered these lands many a time and could pick out every lera's burrow and nest with his eyes shut. The softening grass beat beneath is paws as the group raced their way across the vast open valley. The mountain ridges on each side seemed to reach out and scream for the heavens. While the valley seemed to be the closest the land would come to residing within the reach of Wolfbane. The variance of the land was astonishing even to the farmiliar eyes of Sudak. The pack generally would only come here to hunt but today's mission was different for the putnar. Today was the day the young of List would begin to fulfill their destiny. To begin the rest of their lives from this moment on. How they proved their worth this day would determine their role and place within, or outside of the changing pack.
As the pack darted their way over vastness before them they inched their way closer to the plan Sudak had awaiting them. Patches of land beneath their paws began to be replaced with holes that would be used by some form of lera it seemed. Caution must be used at this point as not to place a paw in the incorrect spot as this could cause a terrible injury to the swift moving varg. With an extra leap of engery Sudak raced his way to the side of Drathlic and gave him a deathly stare. Exhaustion was clearly evident in each of the cubs but that would be no excuse for any of them. With a menacing bark Sudak gave his first order to the fearful cub.
"Kill it!"
Just as if on cue a lera in the form of a rabbit sprang from one of the numerous holes and began to dart in fear of the putnar swiftly closing on it's position. Sudak shifted his glare now to the remaining cubs, Sora and Renn. You two remain barking on his heels. Do what you must to keep him on the hunt. If he gives up, you don't let up on him for I wont let up on any of you in return.
Their second task had been ordered now the fullfillment was up to them. Would they be strong enough to overcome their fears, their wants, and their loves, or would the beta have to literally rip them of those emotions himself.
The trio and their trainer had been running most of the morning now, and however fit Drathlic was, the endurance was beginning to run quite dry. His long, muscular legs helped to propel the young male forward and with the end of every lunged stride his back arched perfectly before his hind legs kicked off from the ground once more to help drive him forward at the pace Sudak wished for them to run at. Drathlic ran by his good friend Renn's side, though at times - due to the tiring strides - one would over take the other and vise versa, or even Sora would manage to nip in between them at times. No matter - it wasn't as if the male was going to have a chance to speak with his friend at all. This as warrior training and if he wanted to be counted worthy of the pack, he had to get his act together.
On they ran, and after another few feet Drathlic's cyan eyes caught the ivory figure of his Beta leaning in towards him, his own blue gaze savage and sinister. Much unlike the Sudak Drathlic once knew only a sun ago. Almost stumbling down a slight dip, Drathlic tore his gaze away from Sudak and focused back on the path before them - knowing that if he were to stumble and fall it would make him a mockery - and that's not what he wished for. Kill it! shouted the cruel voice in Drathlic's aud and his hues widened suddenly as a rabbit tore out from a patch of long grass and sped away across the valley before them. Drathlic's auds perked and he was now being nipped and barked at by his good friend Renn and the little wench of Sudak's daughter Sora to chase this lera. The young male's heart began to accelerate furiously now and he thought at any moment it was bound to simply break out from his chest. He had killed lera before, he had to. The ruddy male was too terrified of Ravens to go anywhere near carcasses and carrion that they may feed off, so the young male would only eat at pack kills or eat from a fresh lera that he had to kill himself. It was never pleasant, for the taste and smell of blood ran deep into his memories and only brought out terrifying scars that would never leave him from his cubhood. Yet if this is what Sudak wanted, then that's what he'd get. Finding a new lease of energy within his already burning muscles, Drathlic's hind legs kicked off furiously from the emerald blades below their running forms and he tore off across the expanse of grassland after the fearful lera. Leaping and bounding over the dangerous potholes, Drathlic chased the rabbit and swerved with every turn it took, closing the space between them until he was merely inches from it. The chance of him succeeding in this kill was quite small due to his already exhausted lungs and limbs, but the exhiliration and determination set by Sudak and the two who were at his heels was unspeakable. With a final leap, the young ruddy pelted male soared through the air for a mere second before throwing down his paws into the rabbit's back and cracking it's spine with a sickening blow. Swiftly following his paws were his teeth, and with a quick bite to the back of the rabbit's neck, it was dead. Taking this moment to come to a stop, Drathlic trotted on after his kill before coming to final hault and peered round to where the lera lay and the others were just behind him. Panting heavily, his chest heaving as though it were fit to burst. Passing Sudak a quick glance, the young male hoped he had done well in his task...otherwise who knew what the consiquences could be?
((Sorry if it seems a bit predictable and what not...also the post is a bit shaudy. But hey, at least I posted.))
Friends with ~ Renn, Silent, Shayla, Amore, Kop, Novex, Amber (Channon) Lost Love ~ Silent Loving Mate of ~ Shayla Member of ~ N/A
bla; it sucked. Sorry. >.< Thump. Ah. Thump. Ah. Her paws plodded heavily on the dry ground and her breath fell from her maw in a gasp. She had fallen far behind Sudak, Renn, and Drathlic and was trying desperately to catch them once again. Each stride was a slash of pain in her side; each breath seared her dry throat. They were all so much older than Sora; her huge bat-like ears didn’t even reach past their legs. She was too young to keep up at such a ruthless pace, but she was trying not to fall any farther behind.
“Come on, be faster! Don’t give up; you’re just as good as those scum,” she told herself, the words of her thoughts falling into rhythm with each blundering step. She closed her eyes against her protesting leg muscles and tried to urge herself on faster. A forepaw sunk into a concealed den hole, and Sora’s eyes snapped open as she easily found her footing again. She had been raised among the mountains; her instinct and her body were perfectly intoned with the surroundings.
Sora could catch the sounds beneath the earth’s crust with her sensitive auditories; she could strain to hear the dripping of a weak forest brook; she could pick out the fall of her pack mates steps from far distances. The rumble of the forest didn’t evade her; it was all around her. The wind played in the needles of the birch, the many noises of the Lera were always present, and the wolf pack resided quietly amidst the turmoil of the mountains.
But now only her ragged breathing sounded in her soft, downy ears as she tripped behind the others. The creatures beneath the soil went unnoticed by her. Sora was to worn out to even think how unjust Sudak was: he expected a cub of no more than three moons old to keep up with those who had seen more than twelve. It was even more insulting when a varg she had labeled weak was turning around and labeling her the same. If Sora hadn’t been too involved in galloping with every ounce of endurance she possessed through the wooded areas of her home than she would have wished fervently that she could rip his throat out.
Short lived excitement burst through her gut as the rabbit exploded from its hole. Sora even forgot how weary was for a few strides until once again she slowed to a heavy plod. Sudak commanded them all and resentment bit at her heart. With a heave of her sides, a shutting of the eyes, she followed the others. To her disappointment she couldn’t give Drathlic a good nip, only keep up until he had caught the rabbit. Tired and aching, Sora collapsed. She was just to young.
Tor help me, The silent plea echoed in Renn's mind, repeating istelf over and over again as she strained to keep up. Her muscles were screaming in agony, her breath so ragged and course that it hurt her throat, yet she still forced herself to keep going, to follow the white form of her Beta, Sudak, before her. Of her three companions, Sudak was best off, an adult and used to enduring runs like the one taking place. He knew the territory and was able to keep a steady pace as he ran. Off to one side was Renn's friend, Drathlic. The pair of youths ran alongisde each other, though they were to weak to match each other's pace and were constantly drawing ahead then falling behind. Sora was worst off. The young cub was trailing behind, and it was only her scent and the faint fall of her paws that told Renn the cub was okay. Still, it served Sora right. The little bitch was a pain in the neck, doing her best to stretch Renn to the limit and prove she was better than the golden faemme. Sora took no part in any friendship. Yet, this was bizarely to her advantage, for, due to Renn and Drathlic's clsoe friendship, the pair would be constantly picked on and forced to show each other their teeth, a way of 'toughening up' the, lets face it, Siklas. At least, Siklas compared to what List wanted as their aerage standard of Packmemebers. Now Fiory wished to follow the Cult of Wolfbane, and bring List abck to what it once was, a ferocious close-knit Pack that was as powerful as their allies, the Balkar.
Renn's sensitive nose picked up a familiar scent. It was Lera, but not a Putnar, a prey animal, one that would give a solitary wolf a good meal. It was a rabbit. The brown beast leapt out of hiding and began to tear away. Kill it! Sudak thundered, turning his mad gaze on Drathlic. Renn's heart screamed inside her. Though the golden pelted faemme had been injured and cared for by Ge-Rad when Drathlic had made his first kill and his fear of blood became apparent, but the faemme had alwasy been able to tell this about him. It had been obvious when they first met that Drathlic was scared of something, and, gradually, Renn had figured out that it was death, or rather, blood. What if Drathlic couldn't do it? What then? Previously, Sudak had threatened to kick Renn out of List for defending the wounded Kerl, and later on her good friend, Alkiera, could he do the same thing to Drathlic?
You two remain barking on his heels. Do what you must to keep him on the hunt. If he gives up, don't let up on him for I won't let up on any of you when you return.
Sora was still behind them, barely able to keep up with Drathlic and Renn, let alone actually nip the ruddy male. It would be up to Renn to ensure that Drathlic remained on the hunt. Casting him a quick glance, Renn regisered his fear, his phobia. It killed her to do it, but the golden furred faemme dropped a little way behind to give Drathlic enough leverage if he needed to swerve and kept level with his flank, clsoe enough to give him a quick nip if needed. Renn weaved in and out of the long grass, matching Drathlic's pace step for step yet not accelerating to match his form. As they chased the Lera, Renn felt the bloodlust begin to fall on her, and it was an effort to keep herself from leaping forward and finishing off the frightened rabbit. For a moment - it was probably her imagination - Drathlic seemed to flag a bit, and Renn instantly turned her jaws on his flank, nipping her old friend, fear of being thrown out driving her to do it. She niped him several times, until finally, a sudden burst of energy took Drathlic away from Renn. Before her, the Listern youth could see Drathlic pounce on the rabbit, taking its life in one fell swoop. Well done, She thought silently.
((I'm actually quite proud of this post...its so long!))
Sudak slowed his pace gradually to a stop as the three raced ahead after the lera. Sora was struggling, that was clearly seen over her body. Sudak felt a little bit of sympathy as any father should but this was what needed to be done. After he was done with her, she would be one of the greatest warriors of List. A smile began to creep its way across his maw as Drathlic lept through the air. ahh the little runt had done it. Renn had been clear upon his heels nipping away as Sudak had instructed. Atleast now she was learning to obey her supperiors.
As the dust settled Sudak padded through, appearing to fade in in a ghostly manner to the cubs on the other side. He stood tall, looking down on the cubs who were now either sprawled upon the ground or barely holding themselves up. All of them breathing heavily. Sudak was urged to give a whine and nuzzle to Sora but he was strong, he held back for her sake. Giving glances as he now padded down the line towards the kill Sudak seemed to be the form of a general addressing his troops. He approached the dead lera that lay before Drathlic and Sudak curled back his lips top reveal his canines as a thunderous growl emitted from his maw, indicating to the yearling to step back to his place with the others. Sudak lowered down hereafter and took the lear ferociously in his maw, teeth sinking deep into the form as blood streamed from the puncture wounds. He now turned and lay before the exhausted few, beginning to tear open the carcass. After a few good bites Sudak had had enough for now. With the lear hanging limply from his mouth, too deformed now to tell what it's previous being was, Sudak tossed it to Drathlic to come to rest laying upon his front paws. Blood now staining his pelt.
Sudak stared down the youths and with a low voice began,
"Something you may not have realized by now, especially you Sora since you haven't been on any hunts, but the highest rank ALWAYS eats first. When I've had my fill you all may have what's left. I give this to Drathlic now for he made this kill. You all better work out who gets how much for for you never know when your next meal will be in this training. So if Drathlic decides to eat it all, you all take it out of his hide, or starve..."
His stare now redirected to the ruddy male,
"EAT DRATHLIC!!! Blood and flesh is our lifesource, our way to survive. If you can't deal with it you will surely die a long and painful death."
Drathlic needed to overcome this blood fear for his life's sake. The exposure was the key that Sudak sought to use and now would this training finally break the youth of his lifelong nightmare. So now Sudak lay before the three, letting the events to follow play out before his icey gaze
The she-cub was so exhausted that she didn’t even scowl at Drathlic or eagerly sniff the rabbit carcass; Sora continued to pant heavily, sure that her heart would burst. Even though she was breathing so hard she still managed to wonder: Why were the two from the Frolicking Trio so tired. Weak, they were that weak. If only she’d been their age she could have kept up the pace for she had endurance and will, she could have pressed on. That made a feeling much like disgust and superiority flare in her gut. Sora had even managed to run along behind them and was sure Renn and Drathlic would have collapsed at her age. Sikla’s; what soft hearted fools. Where was their instinct and cunning, where was their pride and their earth wisdom, where was that once of blood that proved they were actually Varg and not sniveling dog?
“They’ll never be fighter,” she thought. Sora had battled her brother many times and the meaning beyond the play was obvious. They were striving to be better than each other and they were learning together just how to tear the other apart. That was life, as was Wolfbane. She sprawled on the ground with her narrow sides still heaving and her heart still pounding in her ears. Her long, lanky ivory legs were filthy and not just because of today; Sora was still just a pup and still as over excitable and high strung as ever, she was just exceptionally good at being devious when she needed to be.
Sora watched the Lera being crunched beneath his jaws with a hungry look. The dull fur soon ripped and fresh new meet glistened with blood. Her mouth began to salivate and her body was tense; it was feeding time. He was eating so much; that would barely fill her stomach! Stop! Her mind was whispering in anguish STOP! The white male did after only two bites but than he tossed it to Drathlic. “WHAT!?” she thought, every particle of her body screaming with indignation. Sora was far more dominant than the ruddy male, even Renn was a higher ranking femme.
Blood tickled her nose and that settled her. In the pack she would be before Renn, Drathlic, and Silent. In the pack she would start asserting herself. That was her logic. If a wolf was determined to get what they wanted and did it unflinchingly; that was dominance to her. If Sora took it upon herself to feed herself than she would; that would be showing dominance. Wasn’t that what Sudak said? The one of higher ranking eats first? Well if so than she would be up there and feed right now.
Sora slunk forward with eyes inspired by lust. The tension grew as she inched forward as if unable to turn away; and than the feeling of apprehension broke and she darted forward and sunk her teeth into the succulent flesh and tendons. She tugged at the rabbit violently a snarl in the back of her throat. And finally a well sized chunk came away and she trotted a little ways away to eat her piece and fight them all off if she had too. Sora suspected that she might not get in trouble by Sudak because she felt he would want them to find their places and be the best they could. Still, she wasn’t sure. Her attention could not be turned away from the hunk of meat so she began to gorge herself on it with raised hackles.
Renn stared at Sudak as he tore into the hare, yearning to devour Lera, taste the fine flesh and drink its blood, crack open its very bones to get at the marrow inside. But she understood what her Mentor said, that the highest ranking Varg ate before any other, and she knew that if she tried to steal any from Sudak she'd get a beating. As he tossed it to Drathlic, the golden faemme understood too, that as he had caught the hare and there were no other Varg apart from them, Drathlic was next in line by Pack law. Knowing that both she and Drathlic were of the same rank, Renn advanced on her friend, firmly tearing into the carcass, feasting with her friend. It tasted good, the sweet blood running down her throat, chewing the tender meat with strong teeth. It felt good to eat with the ruddy Mann, for they had never feasted together before - the last time Drathlic ahd killed something Renn had been absent from the Pack, residing in Ge-Rad and recovering from the injuries inflicted by Man.
Out of the corner of her eye, Renn could see Sora slinking forward, like vermin, toward the corpse and the wolves, driven by greed for food, and perhaps the oppotunity to prove ehr dominance over Renn. Well, Sora had clearly missed out, as both Drathlic and Renn ahd began to feast before Sora got a look-in. Suddenly, the mis-matched pelted cub bolted forward, stealing a good-sized portion of meat and retreating, her disrespect for both wolves older than ehr blatant. To be truthful, Renn could not really be bothered with Sora, ehr behaviour was stupid and failing to aggravate the golden-pelted faemme, but if she should put her in her place, Renn would have to be bothered. Drathlic was, lets face it, too much of a wimp to do anything much, but Renn was capable. Besides, the silent fued was mainly between Sora and the golden furred faemme. Already, Renn could foresee that they would never be comfortable together until the issue had been settled in a penultimate battle - however, neither of them were ready for that.
Though she had eaten her fill, Renn advanced stiff-legged toward Sora, hackles bristling. Stalking right up to the little bitch, the Listern faemme hit the meat away from Sora. Her tail was held high in a show of dominance, and her lips were drawn back in a snarl. If Sora was truly dominant over Renn, she had the oppotunity to try and prove it now.
Call Me ~ Renn Taint Me ~ Vakasi Encircle Me ~ List Hold Me ~ Kop Stay With Me ~ Drathlic, Silent, Gryffin, Alkiera Hate Me ~ Ge-Rad, Sora
The meat was swept aside and Sora rose with a snarl at her lips. The mere cub came forward with a raised tail and thrust out chest; mimicking Renn’s dominant stance. Her face was contorted into an ugly wrinkle of white teeth. The thunder residing in the back of her neck exploded forth as she snapped out at the golden pelted femmes leg in warning, the fur along her back bristling. If the Sikla wanted a fight she would get one. The dual coated pup had no chance but she would never show her throat to the scum of the mountains. Renn had come to put Sora in her place and Sora was openly challenging her. A scuffle was appropriate for the moment.
Panting heavily, though not nearly as heavily as young Sora as she reached the gathering of varg, Drathlic padded back towards his kill and couldn't help but let out a slight whine, pinning his auds back against his scalp. The taste of the lera's blood hit him with the realisation - as it always did after he'd made a kill - and he shuddered slightly at it's metalic, cold taste. However he shrugged it off almost immediatly as Sudak joined them. Sitting by the dead lera, Drathlic watched as Sudak tore it away form him and began to rip into it in a greedy fashion, the crimson blood staining his ivory pelt. The young adult male couldn't help but wrinkle his lips up in a distastful manner towards the feasting Beta. It was not a sight he enjoyed watching, and it was made worse seeing as it was his kill, and not Sudak's. Though after several more mouthfuls, the pearly white Beta, now stained with the life of another, tossed the shredded carcass back to Drathlic's paws and ordered him savagely to eat it.
Taken aback by the harsh words Drathlic gasped and stepped back slightly, pausing for a split second before throwing his head down and allowing his already tainted muzzle scoff into the remains of the rabbit. Renn too came to join him and he let her willingly, happy to feast by his friend's side for the first time...even if the situation itself was not terribly enjoyable. Though something caught his eyes, and fleeting a glance over towards Sora as she slunk towards the pair, he couldn't believe how quick the young cub was to simply steal in and take a hunk of the rabbit in such a greedy and selfish manner. A deep growl began to rumble at the back of his throat as his ruddy hackles began to rise with sheer irritation towards the little brat's attitude. Never had she said a kind word to Renn, never had she thought of her elders as elders. She needed to be taught a lesson, and no matter how timid Drathlic appeared, this was the last straw. Following swiflty behind Renn as his friend came to comfront the swine, Drathlic was shocked to see the little bitch snap savagely at the golden faemme's leg as though she was old enough to call herself a true warrior. That was it. Drathlic had had enough of her. He'd had enough of this treatment and how others thought of him. He may have a phobia that not many varg considered likely, and he may be timid towards others. But he would show them. He'd show them all that inside his tender heart there was a fire waiting to be unleashed. And now he'd let it loose.
A wicked snarl suddenly contorted the features on Drathlic's ruddy muzzle and he let out a furious growl towards Sora, his neck recoiling like a spring before lunging forward and snapping sharply at the cub's scruff. He knew the skin was still loose around her neck and it would not maim the pup badly, but surely it would have shocked her enough to bring her back to the real world. Yet this was simply not enough to satisfy the young male. She had not been punished. With an angry growl he pounced forward and, being a lot larger than Sora due to him now being almost adult height now, charged the two-toned faemme with knocked her to the ground before bounding back over her and turning round sharply, legs stiffened and every hair now standing on end with rage, his icy blue hues showing no more warmth. "Learn your lesson little one. It is you who is the sikla amongst us. You're weak and pathetic. You heart has become so cold and shrouded by your own ego that you can't even look at your mother or father in the way of love anymore. To me, you're the one with the heart of a sikla," he spat bitterly to her, now no longer caring if Sudak was watching the scene unfolding. Drathlic was not the wimp they all thought, at least not now. He was to become a warrior.
((Ok, really sorry for the god-moding Sora. If you're not happy with it I'll change it ok? I was jsut getting fed up >.< And also, very sorry for the awfully posted post, lol.))

A helpless whelp once more caught up in the jaws of a creature large and powerful enough to lift her from the earthen floor. All feelings of power were stripped from her as the struggle drained from her veins in one horrified moment. Her free will and confidence vanished as if they had never been all because of a single move Drathlic decided to take. Terror blinded her as she revolved slowly in the air; she couldn’t stand being at someone else’s mercy and power, she couldn’t bare the inability to make her own choices and flex her own muscles. The male was doing more than putting her in her place, he was making her live her worst fear and at the same time draining the essence of her soul. Trapped; backed against a corner and unable to fight Sora’s mind shut down as stinking horror oozed from her pores. She wasn’t afraid of Drathlic but she was terrified of being powerless as all would be.
Sora was dropped to the debris strewn ground and lay where she was with seized up muscles and sluggish mind. Her breath barely moved her narrow sides as she scrabbled internally in her rediscovered freedom; trying to recall what it was like to function whatever way she wanted. Drathlic had made her a prisoner in that moment; a slave and a beaten dog. He made her helpless and showed her unclothed to the world; he had made the she-cub weak. Sora had no time to collect her scattered wits or rekindle her never dormant fury for the male bore down upon her and not even instinct screaming at the very fiber of her muscles could transform them back from being lead. She was hit with iron force and tumbled over and over till she was sprawled across the ground and to numb to get up.
And there was Sora. The cub newly thrown into the world and already bent out of shape by the mess that was life. There was no snicker on her muzzle or an ambitious glitter in her eyes hinting of wild dreams. For once she was not prepared to take on the world and more; for she was a child still not able to look after herself. Undeveloped and gangling she was just bone beneath flesh; her face was hurt and scared as if she could not comprehend all that was going on. It looked as if she needed someone to trail behind innocently and for once it appeared that she would gladly refuse to take the lead. Most forgot she was fresh from the den and many more forgot that she was beneath good and evil for life found its way in everybody and everything.
Drathlic’s words began to sink beneath the flesh and her frozen body and mind began to thaw. Hate and rage as she had yet to feel coursed through her veins, reawakening them. Look what the fool had done; he had showed all of creation her throat and made her once more blind, deaf, and helpless. But that was not the worst of it, oh no, the worst was that she could not to the same. Sora could not grab him by the ruff and throw him into complete darkness and severe his connection to his body and mind. She could not send his spirit floating into a nothing that was terrible and savage. It was because she was to young, to small…to weak. There it was. It was written in the sky and sung upon the wind: she couldn’t defeat anyone yet. She wasn’t a Sikla, she wasn’t an Alpha, she was a cub. Her greatest secret had been unveiled in a barbaric way; someone had to up earth it by tearing away at the fragments of her soul and biting deep into the jugular of her heart. It was not fair. As mighty as the mountains, as purified as the wild snow melt, as enlivened as the burning forest fire, as knowledgeable as the well traveled wind; she was still Sora the one with too many dreams.
He would pay, he had shown everyone what she really was. Nothing else mattered, not even death. If she could cry the tears of passion and loathing and broken heart would have been spilling off her nose. Instead it bore her forth without Sora even realizing it. Pain echoed in every nerve as the blood of her spirit began to spill. Wounded by more than tooth; drained by more than physical hurt, she lunged onwards with a soundless howl screaming in the back of her throat. It’s undetectable pitch swore and shrieked of deception and betrayal, of a life early killed. Feeling distant from her own body she attacked, clawing and biting madly at the flesh of the bigger wolf trying even as her purpose crumbled to make him feel the pain she was feeling. What gave him the right to unravel her fears and hopes and identity to Renn and Sudak, what unwritten law claimed that she could do nothing about it? This was why there was no Tor and Fenris and Wolfbane for love and hate had no line between each other. That was why there was only the clear, cold mirror of nature which reflected what really was.
Outraged flowed through the faemme as Sora snapped at her leg, viscious little bitch as always. Staggered at such an outward show of disrespect, Renn lunged forward with her jaws, preparing to show the cub a real beating. She did not care if Sudak was there, Sora had to be beaten into submission, to have her true weakness revealed to her. Of course, it was to be expected that Sora would fight back when Renn tried to dominate her, all behaviour shown toward the golden faemme before being of dominant nature. Patronising. Her teeth brushed through soft fur, almost reaching the thin skin of Sora's scruff. But suddenly, a ruddy shadow bolted forward, pushing past Renn and seizing Sora with strong teeth. It dropped her, moving away, then charging at the little bitch, knocking her so that her small body rushed along the ground a good few feet. When she finally stopped, Sora was frozen, not dead, merely in shock. Turning to the shadow, Renn was shocked to see the familair face contorted with anger. Drathlic stood there, breathing fast, eyes flashing with rage at Sora's stupidity.
Learn your lesson little one. It is you who is the Sikla amongst us. You're weak and pathetic. You heart has become so cold and shrouded by your own ego that you can't even look at your mother or father in the way of love anymore. To me, you're the one with the heart of a Sikla.
It was so true, every word of that speech was completely true about Sora. She was weak and pathetic, a mere cub who's own bloated ego had twisted whatever kindness she ahd once held. But in reality, Drathlic and Renn were both dominant over her, higher up, determined by age. And they would continue to dominate her even when she was older, not by age but by acts. Drathlic seemed to ahve shed his skin and become a new Varg. Gone was the phobia-ridden submitting male that Renn had known and loved as a friend. He was fierce and strong, someone to respect for more than jsut friendship. In a way, she was proud of him, for he had done what seemed like the impossible and (though temporarily) silenced Sora.
Slowly, the cub got to her paws, her eyes slits. Renn could feel the raging vibes in the air, read into ehr body language. His words may have stopped her for now, but the golden faemme could tell that Sora wanted revenge. "Holding a grudge won't get you anywhere, Sora," Renn growled, advancing stiff-legged to stand next to Drathlic. She continued to watch the two-toned faemme, her emerald orbs burning into Sora's. Inside, the Listern faemme was fuming, wishing she could inflict upon Sora what Drathlic had managed. But no, it seemed that Gryffin's Daughter would never cease to hate her. As if she was slightly drugged, Sora began to pound forward, ehr mouth open yet no sound coming out, her eyes burning with rage. Due to the shock of just falling, her movement seemed a little sluggish but it was hard to tell. Desperate as she was to prove she could do the same as Drathlic, Renn was forced to hold back, knowing that this was something between her ruddy friend and the two-toned cub.
((Ok, so sorry for the delay. I hate busy-ness >.< ))
The cub lay there, motionless and stunned. Her eyes grey full of fear, worry and doubt. He had destroyed her. At least, momentarily. But nothing could dampen that youths wild spirit for much longer - she was stronger than that, and Drathlic knew it. She had a fire inside her than even the heaviest of rainfalls could not burn out. She was a fighter, and born to play an important roll in life. Sora could never be beaten down. Drathlic's aud flexed back as he heard the approach of Renn and her own words towards the little fiend. But nothing the two could ever say would ever be taken in by her mind - she was as Drathlic had said; too overcome by her own ego to realise. Perking his auds forward again his cyan hues continued to burn with fury as the little whench got up from where she'd fallen and was now silently screaming her revenge in his muzzle, lunging her smaller form at his chest and legs, mauling them as best she could.
For a few moments Drathlic did nothing. He allowed her to scratch and slash at his once before so prone form. Though she was still young, her teeth were terribly sharp and they managed to draw blood from his thickly furred chest...her claws merely grazed over the skin of his legs. He'd allowed her to have a taste, and that was all she'd get. With another snarl and a powerful shrug of his body, he detatched the manic youth and took a few steps back, his head lowering and his hackles remaining on end. "Plot and plan revenge all you like little one, but seeing that fear of reality in your eyes was worth the idea of the pain you could inflict on me in later times," he growled towards her, almost inaudible to the other two observing the scene.

Sudak had decided to sit back and observe the trio's blood feud unfold before his eyes and auds. It was quite entertaining to see the sudden changes in moods and temperaments flashing in front of him. Drathlic the once calm and collected male had bolted for Sudak's daughter. His muscles tensed as he felt he was needed to aid his daughter but Sudak held strong. Renn infiltrated the auora around the group and slit through the tension in the air with her words swiftly. Sudak felt yet another tug but still stead fast he stood. Eyes narrowing this time however.
He finally broke his stance of observation and padded towards the crew standing tall over them all. Followed with a bark.
"Silence all of you!"
Eyes darted from one cub to the next, resting briefly on his daughter with a sign of sympathy but quickly he moved to Renn where his gaze sat transfixed. A growl emitting from his maw. After a moment of sever tension Sudak's eyes shot to the sky where the sun was making its final tread through the sky.
A calmer voice soon followed with eyes still towards the heavens.
"We must end this sherade now and make our way to our resting place. Follow me."
This had been the first time Sudak had showed any mercy, if that was the word to describe it, during this training. Sudak padded to the edge of the valley closest to the pack's borders. He found a tightly fit overhang with leaves that seemed to be begining to cover the forest floor more now. Sudak scrathed the ground and made a few circle before collapsing to the pile of leaves now gathered. He shot glances once again to his cub crew and motioned for them to do as he did.
"You will need rest. Training is far from over. Who knows what challenges await you."
The stars creaped from their hiding places in the heavens and the distant sound of thunder from a summer sprung storm could be heard disipating in the distance. Darkness soon clouded over the trio and their leader as Sudak fell deep into a slumber.
// Ok I'm getting this show on the road. I've rushed through a big time frame and want to get going. *kick all cubs in butt* //
She fell to the frozen ground in a heap panting heavily. Her tongue was splashed with white froth and her emerald eyes were bright. Sora’s heart pounded in her ears next to fermenting heart. She could not hear Renn, she did not even bother to listen, nor see her standing tall and proud if she had been the one to knock about a half grown cub. Instead she lay where she had been struck, boiling in the center of her own hatred, burning and bubbling in the pit of her seething fury. It took her many moments to once more be soothed; it took her numerous breaths to quench the fire roaring in her gut. Finally, she looked up at Drathlic, and there was a strange look in her eye. It was a look one would give to their equals, it was an expression on her face that openly admitted to him that he had won and that she would never underestimate him again. Sora had been mistaken about the ruddy male, but as she picked herself up under Sudak’s stern words and shook away the ache in her bones another, different look entered her eyes; it was determined. She swept past Renn, her tail arched above her head, but as she stepped in front of Drathlic she gave him a final, grudging flick of her ear. He had earned her respect; he was not as weak as she had thought.
Sorry it's so bad, only took me 2 months. But I think that can end the thread. Sorry again guys! -.-
