[glow=black,2,300] Winds howled through the bare-stripped trees. Thier screams and cries echoed throughout the clearing. Fresh blood spills decorating the land. This was where the battles had begun and finished, where death or wounds were most friendly with. Shadows flickered as dark clouds rolled over the winter's moon, its aura giving the woods a ghostly glow. Yet, despite the situation of darkness, a small black figurine stepped from the darkness. His amber optics glowed dangerously, as he looked about. A devilish smile stole over his ebony lips as he sat on his haunches. He was waiting, for something or someone. Staring at the sky, thoughts passed through his mind slowly. Stories of this land echoed in the corridors. The voice of his beloved mother came to thoughts, yet he quickly removed them. He did not want to appear weak or pathetic; the same stubborness had been passed through his mother into him. Hearing a slight footstep behind him, he turned violently, a growl passing his lips. "Who disturbs a thinking wolf?" spat Damien coldly, eyes narrowing. Yet, as the beast emerged, his body relaxed. "Hello mother," he purred in a raspy tone, "Shall I summon him?" A dark smile appeared on Damien's lips, and as he waited for Demon's replied; his thoughts ran wild. Soon the battle would commence, and blood would be spilt. Hopefully, more of the other wolf than his mothers, but he would see soon enough, finally.[/glow]

[glow=black,2,300]The black beast melted out of the darkness slowly. Her poisoned optics flashed coldly, but soon dimmed as they caught glimpse of her beloved son. Smiling, she nuzzled Damien lovingly. "Hello darling," whispered the female lightly, her tone somewhat different to her usual dark status. Blinking slowly, she laughed at her son's words. "So full of anger. You need to relax son..." Pausing, she looked up at a swaying tree, the winds howl whipping at her ebony pelt. "You need to sway the anger to your doings. You have to control it, like the wind is to the trees. You have to habour it, and bend it to your will. Keep it fresh, ready for use..." Hesitating, she let a small smirk slip onto her maw. "..You never know when it could come in handy..." Winking at Damien, she paced into the moonlights glow, and felt the rays wash over her with peace. For a moment then, the air was still. Absolute silence came over the valley, save the breaths being drawn by the two wolves. Shaking down her pelt, she streched slightly and gave a heartfelt yawn. "He will come soon, you'll see.." growled Demon lazily, not bothered by the possible outcomes of this meeting. He had said things to her son that had angered her, and things that had given her more hatred to passion against this wolf, and today she wasn't going to be generous. Sneering at her deepest thoughts, she slowly sat next to her somewhat eager son, his tail wagging furiously. Chuckling, she licked the cubs forehead and waited. Waited for the appearence of the enermy. Waited for an old score to be settled. Waited for an explanation.[/glow]

Kerael walked slowly, scenting the air. The day was stormy and clouded over, the wind stiff and chill. Somehow the air felt tense, and he couldn't deny the feeling that something important was to happen today. For some reason, he had decided to hunt along the balkar border But before he was able to begin his hunt, he caught the whiff of an unmistakable scent. He turned, and was troubled by the anger and hate that was borne on the breeze. Turning, he headed towards the two vargs, not knowing what his actions might set off. The big male approached the clearing, his scarred muzzle testing the breeze once more. "Demon?" He spoke levelly into the shadows.

[glow=black,2,300]Optics flashed instantly. "What did I tell you my son?" hissed Demon in a low whisper, "the monster has arrived..." Trailing off her speech, she smirked and stood slowly. As she paced slowly towards the opposing shadows, the form of Kerael came into view. Parting her lips, she let the aura of the moon spill over her, the glisten of her canines bright. "Well, well, well..." she began, sneering as she spoke to Kerael, the occasional glance at her son made. "If it isnt the one that likes to pick on small cubs..." Pausing, a deep growl erupted from her throat as her muscles tensed greatly. "I think..." she continued, pausing slightly and scraping her claws against the frosting earth. "You need to explain." Draining her tone, she turned her back on Kerael and returned to her son's side, eyes poised on the enermy, and body in a warned position; each movement watched, each word recorded and each moment passing, Demon was ready to fight, for more or less than one reason or not.[/glow]

Kerael stood silent at Demon snarled at him, his gray eyes emotionless and his face impassive. He had faced her venom before, and knew better then to let it get to him. After all, he had endured worse before. The big male looked at the bristling female, and spoke, his voice devoid of emotion. "Perhaps it is to your own son you should look, Demon. I came upon him threatening Terin who was caught in a cage. Such bravery from your son, taunting a helpless pup. I merely stepped in todissolve the arguement. I made no move to harm your son."

Sorry its not that good... bit rushed for time.. [glow=black,2,300] Demon laughed at his words and took another step closer to the male with vengence in her eyes. "Lies," she snarled loudly, spitting on the ground before her. "You lie to me Kerael.." Glaring, she felt herself loosing patience with the wolf. Narrowing her optics to the size of needles, only a thin slit of poison green could be left. The scar, her only true mark of a battle, wrinkled slightly. Her once dark appearence increased by many. Digging her claws into the ground, she snarled as silence rolled in. "Why do you lie about such things? I know what happened in truth..." Pausing, she turned and looked directly at her son. His ebony pelt glimmered slightly. Seeing herself in him, she smiled and turned after minutes violently back to Kerael. "My son has told me, and you tried to swing at him!" Growling, she nearly flung herself at the male. "You try to hurt him, and I will return it ten times back," Turning her back on the wolf, she nuzzled Damien lightly, and leant down. Whispering, she smirked darkly. "And to think I used to love that monster..." [/glow]

Kerael shook his head ruefully, sadly. "Oh Demon, where did the wolf go that I loved? Where did the bold and clever female go, to be replaed by such hate and deceit?" For once his grey eyes were sad, remembering the female that had been his friend. Then they hardened. "Now you only hear what you want to hear, you listen to the venemous lies of your son. If you wish me to leave your life, then very well, but do not try to drag me down with your lies."

[glow=black,2,300] Demon's temper was beginning to fire. Dancing anger could be visable in her poison green optics, as her muscles began to tense once more. "How dare you call my son a liar!" snapped the she wolf, wind whipping at her ebony hue. Swiping her tassle angrilly, she let a deep snarl deepen her throat slightly. "My son does not lie! He told me the truth, it is you who lies..." Pausing, she smiled sickly, and flashed her canines briefly. "And I'm still the same as I was, I just now have reason to hate you with passion," Hesitating, she suddenly felt a stab of guilt; but in the scare of appearing weaker, she passed it through to the back of her mind and looked back at Kerael, her eyes poised into a fierce glare. "You hurt my son, I hurt you... simple as that wolf..." Trailing off her words, she snorted with disgust and watched with tension building. A clear shot of his neck was all she needed to strike, and after that was done; she'd do what she had wanted to do since their meeting day. Kill. [/glow]

Kerael knew anger was no way to reach Demon. He wondered if he should just walk away and leave her to her fate. But then he remembered the happy memories he still had of her from earlier days. He looked at her, his cool grey gaze gazing into her hate-laden eyes. For a moment he though he saw guilt, and then he knew. He knew that somewhere in there the old Demon hid. Kerael knew he had to try, even if it came to a fight, to bring back the old Demon. Standing his ground, he looked straight back at her. "Demon, you see only what your mind wants to see, and hear only what you want to hear. You live in a cage you have created in your mind. Look at your son, do you see a mark on him? I did not touch him, you can have my honor on that. However, if he does attempt to hurt another, I will have no choice but to step in. Look at me, do I look like a killer? Search your heart Demon, beneath that web of lies you know it is not true."

[glow=black,2,300] The words scorned at her auds, rattled through each corridor of her mind. Shaking her head in silence, she ignored his words; she was too stubborn now to do anything but let her anger grow. Looking over at her son, she felt their gazes connect briefly before she turned her attention back to Kerael. Despite the history that she had shared with him, the happiness she had once had, when she was somewhat sane, it couldn't be helped that she felt hatred. Her life had become one big mess, and one extra problem had tipped the scale. "Kerael, Kerael," she breathed lightly, a slight tinge of sly knowing in her tone, "Please tell me, why I ever loved you... What is there possibly to love about you? You do not show any signs of violent piece of mind, you appear weak and pathetic... mostly pathetic..." Pausing, she stared into his visuals constantly, pupils flickering and lines of green melting around them, "...What happened to you I ask? Did the last human drain your nature? Have they trained you completely to be a looser?" Grinning, she spat on the ground before Kerael, optics flashing menacingly, and scar crinkling as she glared, a warning growl coming from deep within her throat. "If so, they did an amazing job... I admire their training, I really do... Its quite amusing! Honestly, it is..." [/glow]

Kerael fought back a growl at Demon's mention of the humans. He did not fight unless he had to, and yet Demon called him week. One side of his mind told him to attack her, show her he was a warrior. But he stubbornly pushed it away. Though he was a big, well-muscled male, he didn't flaunt his battle skills as some did. He was quiet and withdrawn, yet sometimes that labeled him as a coward. The word coward caused a buble of anger to well up in him, but he fought it down. "Spit all the poison at me that you want, but I will not sink to your level." He said coldly.

[glow=black,2,300] A laugh passed her lips. "Sink to my level.." sneered the she wolf finally, her eyes glowing violently, "I believe Kerael, that it is me sinking to your level... after all, I wouldn't want you to feel weak and unwilling, despite how pathetic you seem anway...." Smirking, she couldn't hide her slight amusement of this situation; sooner or later one of them would throw the first attack, and hoping it woul be Kerael, Demon had already plotted the perfect ideas in her sickly, twisted mind. "And, Kerael... if I were you, I'd keep a special eye on that cub of yours... You never know when some hungry vixen could mistakingly take it for a mid-afternoon snack..." Grinning cruelly, she turned her back of Kerael for the second time, her tassle dancing proudly behind her; the cruel words she spoke were not her full potential, but she had to fire anger one way or another; otherwise- her entire plan would be smashed into little pieces, and she would have to retreat for another process at the drawing board. Kerael held his rising anger in check. She sought to enrage him, to provoke him to attack her. He stubbornly held to the glacial calm that permeated his eyes and his voice. "You make idle threats, Demon. Why do you seek such revenge on me? What did I do to be the recipient of such hatred and anger? What has warped your mind?"

[glow=black,2,300] Smiling, she paced around the male listening to his words with glee. Each letter bounced off her harmlessly in the end, her stubborn behaviour was somewhat thrilling to the heart; her pulse rate speeding up, and her anticipation to fight even greater than before. "What has warped my mind, you ask..." growled the she wolf finally, "nothing really my good friend... just the lovely thought of spilling blood over my precious paws and the winter's ground brings comfort to mind..." Optics glittering, she smirked slyly. "Yes im sick... yes im twisted... but hey! im me... deal with it..." Shifting slowly, she let a low growl pass her throat slowly, "if you want this arguement to end, make your move..." hesitating, she grinned slowly, canines flashing. "if you dont... i'd watch your back... and your sons too..." [/glow]

Kerael's eyes sparked at her tone. The female was trying to goad him into a fight. That was all she wanted, to slake her thirst for blood on him, to defeat him in battle and stand cackling over his still form. Kerael's grey eyes became cold and hard as steel. Well, she was in for a surprise. The big, scarred male hadn't gotten those scars from being a coward. He had fought and won many battles, and he wasn't afraid to engage her in battle. He knew only her hate would drive her on, and hate could sometimes drive a creature rabid, and that was dangerous. But she had threatened Terin, and he was determined to see this thing through. "You're trying to get me to fight you Demon, but you probably intend on bringing Damien into the fight as well. I am outnumbered. It would be foolish to fight, since you've obviously lost your honor."
