Alone sat the large pup, cat-like eyes glazed as he sat, staring at the sky. No moon shone, the new moon was beiginning tomorrow. 'It' had said that this was just like the night he was born on, like the night 'it' had been born on. 'It' was a wispy voice, more like a feeling the he got from the inner darkness of his soul, the darkness 'it' was trying to bring out. The was anther side to 'it'. A calmer side, but not by much. Little did the pup know that he would soon be gone, it was already taken place. The two other souls feeding off his were soon to take over, rebirth of a two spirtied wolf who died by suicied during the war. Rebirth, almost, of Blackfire. The pup with the cat-like eyes sighed inwardly, pondering on his loss of emotions when the voice started. You know he's going to give in sooner or later Nightblood. Well I'm getting very impatiant..... Ther voices soon died off and the pup was left wondering what was happening to him.

The runt padded out from the darkness, a cruel smile twisting his maw. It often sat there like that, slightly wonky, rather disturbing to see on a creature that looked as though it should be so defenseless. For his age he was tiny, barely chest height of most full grown wolves, yet his body was perfectly in proportion, leaving the definite impression that he would grow no more, that he was doomed forever to be so small. His fur was thin, sickly, barely enough to keep him warm duriong the colder periods of the year. It was wild, straggly, unkempt, and across his chin and front was sticky, dried saliva where he had dribbled and not noticed. However, these weren't the things that others noticed first about this sickly crature. No, the first thing that always caught other's attention were his eyes. They were a deep beautiful golden yellow, shining like burnished gold in the sunlight. They should have been so pure, so full of innocence, but they weren't, for this creature was disturbed by madness, always had been and always would be. That insanity shone forth from his eyes, and combined with the rugged sickly form of the runt, it was a rather unpleasant experience. He stepped fully into the clearing, staring at these two strangers. A quiet giggle slipped out as he looked at the male, he was having problems, voices. Yes, definitely, Mandarb knew all about voices. Again that little giggle as he padded slightly closer. The femme though, she was normal, unlike him, and unlike this other pup. She knew nothing of the hell those with such madness went through. Of course, madness did bring have its advantages. MKandarb licked his chops at the very thought, oh yes, indeed it did. Pain, blood, suffering. Such beautiful words, he loved them, they were his life and he was devoted to them. Whether he were giving it or receiving it, it was what he lived for, it was sustenance for him, sometimes seeming more vitlal than food or water, or even perhaps the air he breathed.

"I-I don't know what's wrong with me..But I am not alone.." Nero muttered under his breath, last sectence a bone chilling wisper. He sighed and momentarily glared at the other pup, but then smiled, being the pup he would always be if not for the two other souls residing in him. "But no, let's not stay on such dark subjects. Want to play tag?" he asked and wagged his tail as he stood up. But then his grin faded when he saw the older wolf approaching. He could barely tell how old this new wolf was, Being that Nero stood almost as tall as him. There was something wrong with the wolf, something terribly wrong.

Moonlight was about to agree with the game till she saw him. The other varg that approched, somthing about him chilled Moonlight down to her spine. Something, disturbing about him. His eyes, they seemed as if they stared into a vargs soul searching for blood. The twisted smile apon his face, for it wasn't normal. It was hard to judge his age for he seemed to be a runt. The varg was older than her no doubt but he was hardly taller than her. But that didn't really matter for it was safe to say this wolf was not right, Moonlight had never seen one such as this. And for the first time in her young life, Moonlight felt fear.

Of course, all who had seen the two would know that Mandarb could hardly ever be found alone for long without a massive, obsidian male following close behind. His form was a large one, and it seemed that what Mandarb's small body lacked in growth, Nocturnia took up into his own. And moments after Mandarb had entered the other two pups' line of view, Nocturnia soon padded out to the runt, sitting near him as eyes of cruel steel studied the strangers. Upon further description, the new varg's pelt could be seen as soft and well-kept, much unlike the scraggly fur of the small runt beside him. Jet fur, sharp talons, razor teeth, muscle-toned bodice, and intimidating eyes of only the most curious hue of silvery steel defined this one, separated him from others, made him recognisable in a crowd. "My, my. Another victim of madness? What might this one have fallen prey to?" Nocturnia's maw smirked as his neck bent, his words being spoken quietly to Mandarb. Of course, he did not ignore Moonlight, simply narrowed his eyes towards her, noticing that she was not as he was. "And the femme.. normal, as always?" Perhaps the couple would get to listen to yet another maddened pup's words.
Like the runt, Nocturnia possessed a madness. A distinct flame that only seemed to flicker to life when one irritated him, or when he was mocking another. At the moment, however, the gift simply lay in small embers throughout his form as he stared, unblinking and emotionless, at Moonlight, still taking the useless time to watch her, study her movements and reactions to the other three wolves around her. Oddly, the normal ones.. intrigued him; he was amazed that another could be so stupid, clumsy, blind when they hadn't a touch of the truly wonderful insanities within them. And then they criticised the strange without taking the time to notice that madness was always gift, never a curse.

Moonlight stepped back for she did not like the two vargs. The one that had just came kept staring at her, which made her nervous. Moonlight had always been an anxious pup but never like this. And this new word to her.....madness. Though she had never heard it, it was as if she had known it all her life, for there is a fine line between sanity and insanity. There was still questions the pup was asking herself, does everyone have a hint of madness in them? How does one truly become insane? On the outside they say it's a curse but on the inside they say a gift. What is it really? She finnally managed to speak. "W-what do you wish to acomplish by being here?", she said bodly.

Mandarb didnt look round as Nocturnia padded out behind him, sitting his powerful body down beside the little runt. His ears twisted round though, listening to the quiet words of his protector, his father figure, the only wolf i nthe world for whom he had a shred of respect or love. In fact, it was rather more than a shred, Mandarb's life was nothing without that obsidian male and the only time he ever felt an emotion close to that of real joy, not the joy of tasting warm blood, or smelling fear, or watching something writhe in pain, no real pure joy was only felt by this stunted little wolf was when he was with Nocturnia. His golden gaze remained fixed on the two pups and his grin widened at Moonlight's words. He began to giggle, little bursts of laughter bubbling up from his throat, "Poor little wretch she thinks. Not only is he a runt, but he is mad. A true plague upon this world, and now he comes to interrupt my life. So she asks, noses into our affairs. She has no right... perhaps she should think our affairs might be privat, who is she to know everything. But she doesnt, not at all, she knows nothing, she is ignorant, unaware of the real world. Innocent eyes shelter her." He leered at her, amusement and cruelty spread across his face. In the depths of madness, Mandarb's words were always strange, and spoken in a slightly slurred manner. He spoke differently when it lay strongly upon him, as though speaking to someone that wasn't there. "Our business is our own, we may wander wherever we choose and it is not the business of a pup to stop us. No no indeed, she puts too much duty on her little shoulders, they will snap if she is not careful." Delight at the very thought caused a fresh set of giggling to burst fourth and he licked his saliva stained maw.

"Then why do you wish to talk with us?", Moonlight said wishing he would stop laughing. "I may just be a pup but I know rudeness when I see it", she said then knowing though, that it would probably just make him laugh all the more. She was just minding her own business when the vargs came thinking as if they were so important because they had the so called "gift of madness" Moonlight really didn't care what a varg had or what one thought it had. But these, had no manners all they could do was stare and laugh at her.

A lone varg padded silently through the darkness as he followed the sound of running water, he was thirsty and apparently there was river nearby. He was the average height for his age, about a head shorter than an adult varg, though he did appear to be rather scrawny revealing that he wasn’t exactly the strongest kerl around, given time he probably would grow to his full height and possibly even gain a little more muscle. His fur was surprisingly thick for his age, hinting to his unusual origins. It was healthy and apparently well groomed especially around his tail which was hung high in the air like a flag. His amber eyes seemed to burn with an intense thirst for knowledge, constantly darting back and forth as he memorized everything in his surroundings. He had just arrived in strange lands and he was wary of everything around him, he was unaware of this lands customs or dangers. He would have to be careful. As he continued making his way toward his desired goal, he became distinctly aware of someone laughing hysterically off in the distance. The young varg was half tempted to block out the disturbing sound and ignore it completely however curiosity got the better of him and he soon found himself following the mysterious cackling. As the scrawny varg drew closer he spotted several strange varg deep in conversation, evidently they were separate pairs judging how they were reacting to one another. Of the four of them, Draeg determined that he should be more wary of the runty one and his giant companion rather then the femme and pup. It wasn’t usually in Draeg’s nature to interfere in other vargs affairs, especially since he was in strange lands, but he knew that the runt and giant could were dangerous with the way they were talking to the other two and could possibly pose a threat to him in the future. Making his way out into the open he slowly approached the others, eying them warily and making sure to keep a fair distance from both groups he seated himself nearby.

A quiver ran up Nero's spine and he crouched in pouncing position. He lookked at the runty wolf and smiled a toothy grin. "Oh, but I don't know of much maddness on my part, only a voice or two at rare times, they don't even say things I understand." once again the quiver ran up and down his spine as he stared at the laughing runt and the mostly silent larger varg. "you can ignore them, not wirth the trouble" he wipered to Moonlight. That was when he noticed another varg out of the corner of his eye. "Oh another guest.." he muttered to himself, sighing.

Mandarb snorted with laughter, his entire body quivering with mirth. He shook his head, his eyes leaving Moonlight and resting now upon Nero. Madness shone brightly in his eyes, "Voices other than his own is always madness, a brain should only have one occupant, more than one is a bad sign they say, a very bad sign." He giggled to himself, grinning at Nero, "He claims there is no madness in his head. A foolish pup indeed to believe such foolishness. Naievety we think fills this little one to the brim."

Nero glared at the runt. He knew it wasn't madness that plauged him, but something worse, much worse. "I know for a fact that it isn't maddness, it's.." he paused to gather himself, admiting to himself that it was true " .. two other souls residing with my own. I can feel them not in my mind but in my heart. They want to take over and I am giving in.". He half sighed and half gasped at what he said, listening to how true it sounded in his mind when the laugh came. It started far awat but then it slowly loudened until it hurt his ears. He looked around startled but then he knew that only he heard it. Then it stopped. Once again the quiver ran up Nero's spine, leaving the fur along it standing on end.

“Really?” Draeg mused, clearly interested. The young varg had been listening intently to the conversation between Nero and Mandarb, the varg in this land were very interesting indeed. “You say that your body is inhabited by three souls that are locked in a battle for dominance, with the one we currently speak to being your own. Interesting, a tragic thing mind you but interesting none the less. You have my sympathies.” Draeg growled as he drew closer, wondering what knowledge he could gain from these varg. “Personally I have never heard of nor encountered such an ailment in all of my travels, but it is possible that the little one here is right and you are indeed quite mad or…” he paused momentarily before continuing. “It is possible, if I had to guess, that these other two entities you speak of are merely different variations of your persona brought on to you through either some cruel divine joke or random twist of fate. I'll give you some advice to put to mind my friend, if this battle is being fought in your mind then I hope you find that you have the advantage. Think of this whole ordeal as merely a way to determine how well you can fortify your thoughts.” Draeg turned his attention over to Mandarb and continued eying the runt warily. “As for you my disturb little friend, Garm only knows how you still live with that shredded meat you call a mind. I encourage you not to give out council concerning the mind when you yourself are unable distinguish between your own foolishness.”<br>

Moonlight listened to Nero in amazment at what he just said then saw Dreag and nodded at what he said. Everybody seemed to know something. They had their own set of thoughts, feeling, and emotions. Moonlight did not. She had a bunch of different things jumbled in her mind but they were all swirling so fast she couldn't even graso hold of one. Madness, yet strange, had more settled mind then her's. Moonlight really didn't seem to care though. She didn't mind not having a constant set of feelings or emotions. She didn't even have a goal forself. Nor even the shortest of ones like i should eat today. That was part of the reason she was so scrawny, though if she ever put on wait it seemed as if she could be a strong femme. But she wasn't even thinking of all this right now. She just wondered what to do, instead of just standing there.
