Long had the afternoon given way to evening letting silance settle and find it's place in the thick branches of the trees and the grass that delicatly swayed from side to side in a relaxed dance, welcoming the evening happily. The forest in the night was always much different from the tense air that was caused by ever nervous prey in the afternoon.
But when light faded off to let darkness creep into it's place it seemed everything relaxed, comforted by the gentle hold the night had on them. Tor shone brightly in the dark sky while the small stars twinkled almost delicatly around her, singing their silent songs into the night.
Indeed everything was calm, this was the time for rest, but one troubled mind earned no rest on this night nor many nights before the presant one. Rest never came easy to his haunted mind and tortured soul, nothing ever really came easy to those of that condition.
As Tor cast a gentle silver glow to the world below, golden brown optics slowly opened, the look in each orb was distant and secrative while at the same time it was wise and gentle. The being, a varg, slowly moved onto his fours quietly flicking auditories forward to take in the nightly sounds around him
As softly as the southern wind he moved through the soft grasses and flora of the forest floor, passing sleeping pack members carefully so as to not disturb their well earned sleep, that they had managd to slip into much easier then he ever did or ever would.
Soon the wandering male made his way to a place where he normally spent his nights, to a low hill that during the spring would be bursting with an assortment of wildflowers, but now it only held the grass left to gently dance on it.
The varg let out a soft sigh that was no louder then the smallest of whispers, soon he was sitting upon his haunches and gazing silently ahead of him as though contemplating everything that one could and ever would be able to contemplate, such was not the case with him as he instead opted to travel back in time through his memories.
Such dark memories made the blackness around him pale in comparison and as such they held an even darker resident, an unwelcome one at best but he was there wether the male wanted him or not.
A shiver rolled slowly down his spine and caused him to tremble in just the slightest, another sigh slipping from him as his golden brown optics slowly closed in thought.
A smile suddenly creased his tired lips as he stumbled on one of the rare happy memories he happened to have, and soon a gentle hum began to rumble from his throat, a lullaby slipping from him.
It had been dug up from his memories, having been deeply buried within his mind until now as the music slowly slipped from his throat, other then his humming he remained silent.
And maybe, just maybe tonight... he would not be so alone.
