As Mav approached, the ivory fae’s auditories perked forwards to listen to whatever task awaited her, what she would be challenged to complete. But before he spoke, the fae could feel the lead warrior’s hot breath accumulating within her own maw. When his words were caught by her awaiting auditories, they were cut short by a deafening roar that seemed to shake the world around them, let alone the trees. Immediately, the tora-ge’s attention turned to pinpoint the location of the monstrosity. In her time with Koran, never had she found a bear wander into the valley, but she had once encountered the ice-white one, the Polar bear, a long time ago. What type of bear it was that had entered Koran remained unknown, but it seemed likely to the Beta that it would be either a grizzly or a black bear.
Almost as soon as the great roar rumbled through the terra, Maverick had already made his way to the cliff’s edge. The beast must have been somewhere in the vicinity below them, or at least from the amplitude of it’s roar it should’ve been. Exerci’s gaze met Maverick’s, and momentarily his words were recognised by intelligent auds. She didn’t speak at first, she was perplexed at the thought of him trying to drive a fully-grown bear off alone. He was the lead warrior, but such a feat was practically impossible – even for him. And she knew it. An unmistakable anger seemed to well up within her, it’s source the bear – partly because it had interrupted her interactions with the male she admired and partly because it endangered all those she shared the valley with – her packmates. ”I won’t let you go alone. Let me help you.”
There was a definite sense within her words that she wasn’t going to change her mind. No matter what Maverick did or said to try to make her, she wouldn’t. She was the new Beta, she wouldn’t let something like this go – even if it was Mav’s duty as the Koranian guardian, that didn’t matter to her now. It was her duty too, at least, it was now. But the other reason for her decision, is that she couldn’t stand to let him get injured, let alone get killed. She cared about the ivory lead warrior, and so she couldn’t let this be his responsibility alone.
Padding to his side to look down upon the trees below, her optics searched for the beast. But at the same time, she backed up her earlier words. ”I may not be a warrior, but I am probably the fastest varg in Koran. Surely some bait would be appropriate for catching this lumbering monstrosity?” As she finished, a smirk had painted her maw, whether it was one of nerves or one of sheer delight at such an experience – or both – would be for Maverick to interpret. To ensure the fact that she wouldn’t take no for an answer, she already began to scale part of the cliff, one where the gradient wasn’t quite as steep, for as she had been speaking she had finally glimpsed the location of the bear, and she was intent on helping Maverick protect their Pack – she would willingly give herself up if it was so appropriate, it was a sacrifice she was willing to make for the Northern Guardian of Koran. Exerci’s words caught the guardian by surprise, as his golden gaze was now removed from the Koran lands and set firmly on the tora-ge. In many ways, Maverick hadn’t expected the willingness of the Hyucha fae, and was caught off guard by it. But after a moment of thought, it made sense. Much like the male, she wanted to protect her home and her pack. Her very tone spoke volumes about the courage that filled the Beta of Koran. From that moment the lead warrior knew it would be a waste of time to try and convince Exerci out of her decision. Her sense of duty mirrored his, and for that the ivory male was very impressed. She was certainly a strong willed fae with a ritgious sense of mind, and despite the danger that now loomed in Koranian lands, he couldn’t help but fall for the tora-ge female even more. In the next instant, Exerci stood beside the guardian.
Although it may be true that Exerci was indeed fast, there was no way the ivory lead warrior would agree to the fae using her-self as live bate. “Exerci,” Maverick spoke as she all ready began to make her way down the cliff. His voice was filled with concern and worry. For if anything happened to the tora-ge… well he hoped it wouldn’t come to that. “I know you want to help, but using yourself as bait is too dangerous! We can drive it off together!” If she had heard Maverick was still yet undetermined. To Maverick, things could either turn out for the better or for the worse. Indeed there was a chance that injury could befall either Varg, but the ivory warrior would strive to protect Exerci at all cost. With that in mind, Maverick trekked off after the tora-ge, hoping to catch her before she got down the cliff.

[OC: By the way, your banners showing up for me, just wondering if it's still playing up for you]
BIC:
The day had fast turned from a peaceful meeting between the two northern varg of Koran to a dangerous situation where some blood was likely to spill. Nimble paws carried her elegantly down the slope, before ivory auds flicked to catch the lead warrior's words as she still moved forward. After deciphering the sounds deep within her brain and translating them to words, she stopped and turned to look at the lead warrior as he began to descend down the cliff toward her.
The fae longed that their encounter had lasted longer, and in a way it was going to continue, but she would have much preferred if they were able to spend more time together. However, she was greatful that this wasn't something that would tear the one she admired away on 'buisness' or on a journey out of the Packlands. This was a mere disruption, but not something to be taken lightly.
She waited until he was within definite earshot before speaking to him, swinging her body round to face him at the same time. Taking a few steps forward so they could were almost touching, she extended her tongue to carress his forehead for a second time. "I suppose.." She paused. For a moment, she was unsure of what to say next. "Well.. er.. shall we begin?" A light-hearted chuckle followed her words, before she returned to his side to listen to his answer.

Now called for a time in which the guardian of Koran needed to be serious. There was a reason as to why Phantom saw Maverick fit to be the lead warrior or her pack, his experience in battle, coupled with the strength of a great leader made the ivory male the perfect choice. And now would be the time to prove that the Drappa’s choice wasn’t wrong. Danger had arrived in the ivory land of Koran, and judging by the roar of the bear, not much distance separated bear from Varg. Maverick had hurried down the cliff to catch up to the quickness of Exerci. Meeting the Beta at the bottom as the lead scout turned her silver-blue hued optics at him, her tongue passing over his forehead as she understood the lead warrior’s concerns. Affection was difficult for the former Dragga to show at this point. It had always been like that for Maverick, when danger arose, a change would settle itself in the ivory male. He would become more serious, consumed by the situation that now took hold. He was a guardian after all, and needed to protect, a need that burned inside the ivory male. Yet uncharacteristically, Maverick still managed to return her lick with one of his own, as his tongue for a moment lapped Exerci’s nose.
“Just be careful is all I ask.” Maverick spoke, his tone full of concern for he didn’t want to loose the Hyucha femora to some pompous brute of an animal. “Take to the trees, you’ll reach the bear before I that is assured. So I’ll follow you from the ground. Do not attack though. Maybe there’s still a chance we can drive it off before it gets to far into Koran’s borders.” Maverick’s tone had changed; the proud warrior spirit returning to his form, for a plan was made instantly by the analytical mind of an experienced hero. The winds brought to the two Koranian’s the scent of the beast, it’s fowl odor finding a firm place in Maverick’s nares as his golden gaze now pointed toward the northern reaches of Koran. Since the wind was blowing southward now, it was clear that the beast must have entered from the north, perhaps having made its way from the river that split the terra. “Be careful.” Maverick spoke again, passing his tongue a few times across the ivory maw of Exerci before giving her a nod of encouragement. “Now go!” Maverick yelled, ready to follow the lead scout just as his plan had intended. It was clear that Exerci would be able to see and smell more clearly from the height of the branches, her part would be crucial for finding the bear quickly.

Despite his show of affection, she could feel a change within Maverick. His fiery spirit intent on protecting the pack lands made her youthful and slightly carefree spirit seem very immature, but at only two years beneath her paws, which were quite uneventful, it lessened the situation slightly.
She listened intently to his words, raising a paw in preparation for the leap. But she paused, and looked at him with eyes which seemingly implied the phrase ‘are you sure this is possible?’. The powerful blast of wind that brought the creature’s pungent scent toward them did not help to boost her confidence, for it seemed to make the event loom even more so. However, Mav’s reassuring words broke her chain of pessimistic thoughts and as his tongue passed over her maw she felt some of that lost confidence ebbing back.
Deciding that she didn’t really need to respond in any other way, her lips twitched in anger directed toward the bear, before her legs carried her forward at, what as to her, an easy pace. In a few seconds she was within the branches, turning, she gazed at Maverick to make sure he was ready to follow, before setting off at a pace which he could keep up with on the ground. The bear’s scent was stronger now, but still she couldn’t catch a glimpse of it’s form. The odour leg the fae to the northern parts of the terra, when another bellow escaped whatever creature lay in wait not too far up ahead. When, at last, she was standing in the trees above the beast, she almost stumbled when her optics fell upon it.
The beast was a terrible, mangled mess of brown fur and what appeared to be dried blood – staining the area around its mouth and neck. It was larger, or at least she thought, than the polar bears she had seen in the northlands, but the memories were hazy, and it’s build seemed fae superior to theirs. A guttural snarl escaped her jaws as she awaited Mav, her hackles bristling to extreme lengths around her neck, teeth bared viciously at the bear, but she stuck to her orders, and did not attack the disgusting beast. In seconds the Hyucha fae was on the branches of Koran. As she glanced at the guardian, he returned her gaze with his golden orbs which held both confidence and concern. Anxiety was hidden beneath his warrior pools, for now a threat hung over his home and family, and it was his job to protect. Maverick waited momentarily as he allowed Exerci to get a feel for where she was, and where the bear could be. Soon the Lead scout and warrior traveled northward. One by trees, the other by land was the course set for the two Koranians. Exerci kept at a pace to which the guardian could follow on the ground. But judging by the quickness just a ways later, Maverick could tell that they were getting closer to their target. The scent of the bear growing stronger with the coming winds as the two Koranians trekked onward.
At last Exerci came to a halt, as she stood over the bear from the safety of the branches. Maverick would not find himself as fortunate as the Beta. For from the ground, the menacing beast looked large with his massive limbs, heavy body and blood stained maw. Many thoughts passed through the mind of the ivory male as he gazed at the hideous creature. How to go about driving him off from once it came? Certainly two wolves could not hope to take on such a massive animal and hope to win. That was out of the question. But before Maverick could come up with any kind of plan; the bear turned his fiery gaze on Exerci. Had the change of winds given away the scouts presence? What ever the reason was, its attention was now focused only on the tora-ge.
Rising to its paws, the bear took hold of the tree and attempted to shake the bark to its very foundation, in hopes of knocking his target over. Instantly Maverick acted, running up behind the giant creature as he leapt onto the bears back and bore his ivory daggers deep into the back of his dirty brown scruff, its muscular frame difficult for even the toughest of incisors to penetrate. Instantly the bear gave the tree a show of mercy and now focused his attention on the ivory nuisance that plagued his pelt. Maverick could feel the shift in weight, and warrior instinct read off the bears plan in his mind. At once the ivory guardian let go of his pray, landing on his paws and sprinting to safety before the bear in tern landed hard on his back, his hopes to flatten Maverick met only with a swift pain of solid earth meeting an almost equally hardened spine.

//Sorry about the wait, and the fact that I'm doubting this'll be a very good post. No muse, sorry//
A sound escaped the her maw as the beast's eyes met her own. It was not just a snarl, but part scream which held undoubted fury within it. Silver-blue optics blazed with an unusual ferocity than what was natural to the Koranian fae. But before she'd had chance to do anything, the bears paws rose and it began shaking the tree in which she found refuge. If her adrenaline hadn't already been rushing through her veins, the ivoir and ebony scout would perhaps have fallen into the bear's waiting jaws, but swift paws carried her safely to the branches of the tree next to her previous perch, at almost the same time that Mav had been able to distract the bear.
Looking on through now-fiery spheres, she watched Maverick's fearless leap onto the bear's back, where biting it's scruff he quickly evaded it's counter attack. Whilst the creature lay on it's back, stunned for a mere matter of seconds, she'd retreated back to the ground where the battle could be fought in an easier way. The bear wasn't going to climb up and get her, so she'd have to take action, like Maverick, on the ground. Lithe bodice arrived next to Maverick, scrutinizing the bear's every move.
The creature rose, shaking it's great head and seemingly ridding itself of thoughts clouded by the pain of the impact. Turning it's gaze upon the two varg, it lumbered toward them, a menacing fortress compared to them. Its movements slowed, and a deafening roar was released into the air before it charged at the two varg, thoughts decieved by pure anger toward the two Koranians. Dangerously sharp claws left large indents in the soft earth with every step, before one front paw rose to rip whatever it came in contact with into shreds.
