Bryr laughed again. "I will not cast myself there.... I will go to challenge the fool who took my pack from me. I don't know who will survive, and who will not. I go to where Ice went, the land of ice, the land of death. My paw is half there. I cannot tell if it is my death, or the death of another. You earnestly belive I would throw away my life, the life that was given meaning by my family, by drowning?!" His silver eyes bored right back into hers. "I will not. I will go and regain my pack. My sons deserve a father they can be proud of. They are the sons of a Dragga, not the sons of a faluire. I go to prove this."

Kahuri looked up, at hearing something about a pup named Ice. And a river? What could that mean? However, whever it concluded too Phantom did not like it. Suddenly she came forward with a snarl, speaking of suicide, and his sons. Half of it was masked in growls from the ebony Beta, so Kahuri found it hard to hear all she was saying. Her tassel lifted in surprise, her brow furrowed with wory and confusment. Bryrpaw laughed, now speaking of returning to his old pack lands and fight off the one whom took his lands. Kahuri took in every word in silence, holding the knowledge and words of what he said. Those were true words of power, and ones she or anyone else should remeber. To die with pride is the very way all should be. Crappy, crappy post.

Naw, your post isn't crappy at all, Kahuri With her eyes still blazing and lips curled into a snarl, Phantom returned to her place beside Tarkah. She fell silent, but kept her gaze at Bryr. She understood why he would want to die trying to regain his pack, but, deep in her heart, she disagreed with his decision.
Bryrpaw was one of her oldest and dearest friends, and the thought of him being torn to shreds by this new Dragga made her stomach churn. Phantom had lost so much in her short lifetime. She couldn't bear to lose anyone else. Bryr was one of the few friends from he puphood who was still living, a thin thread to a happy and memorable past.
She didn't want this thread to be cut as the others had been. Now that was a crappy post...

Ulric stared dumbfounded. He couldn’t tell whether he should defend his father, or back off and try to make sense out of the words of everyone. Needless to say he chose the second. He was so sure that Bryr wouldn’t abandon them. He would just vanish for a while; he only wanted to leave the two with Tarkah for a while. And apparently Tarkah was their grandmother. The confusion in him flourished as his father soon spoke of fighting to regain Ge-Rad, and talk of failures. He shook his head. “You’re not a failure.” He murmured.
William seemed just as confused. His mind was reeling, and the cogs in his head seemed to be working twice as much as usual. Making sense out of this mess was giving him a headache, but then Ulric spoke. He had to strain to hear what his twin had said. “Yeah, you could never be a failure.” Finally the conversation had connected, and though he also didn’t like the fact that Bryr might die while fighting the new Dragga of Ge-Rad, he wouldn’t argue with that decision.
As far as the two brothers were concerned, Bryr was the greatest. He’d offered a home and family to the brothers, and they’d both accepted willingly. Though they were still relatively new to the land, and knew very few they’d grown quite attached to their adoptive father.

The Dragga felt a swell of pride in both his sons. "Thanks.. .the both of you. But... I am. I failed you as a Dragga, and as a father. I have to right that." He smiled again, and nuzzled both of them. "We'll go hunting when I get back, alright?"

Shakó listened to the conversations, something about a river, and about having failed and wanting to challenge the new Dragga of Ge-Rad.
Guild bubbled in his stomach, he felt like he had betrayed his father, still in the pack boundries. He had betrayed his own father, and took up the loyaties to another. The thought sickened him, he had never felt so much hatred toward himself, nor toward others. "Father, I'm sorry," Shakó coraked. "I wasn't there, I should have been. I'm a Warrior, I should have been there to protect you and the pack." He lowered his head, his golden eyes staring at his faded grey paws. "Your not the failure, I am. I'm a Warrior, I should have been the one to fall."
"And I'm sorry, for I am still in the pack. It will never be the same, never. But I'm still in it, and I'm sorry." Shakó didn't know if his father would be angry at him, or how upset he would be. If Shako could go pack, he would have prevented the pack from ever falling. Even if it meant giving his own life, he would have gladly fallen.
"Could you ever forgive me, father?" he asked wearly. No matter what Bryrpaw said, his bubble of guit would never truley rise, like a stone in the bottom of a lake.

Bryr looked at his other adopted son. "There's nothing to forgive." he said, quietly. He gave Shako a gentle nuzzle, and said. "Protect those two, you hear me?" he whispered in his ear. "And protect Ge-rad.... it is still your pack. Protect it with all your heart, my son."

The white and fadded gray warrior nodded with purpose. If it was his father's wish- he would protect the pack with all his strenght. He just didn't know if he could do it with all his heart.
"Yes, father," he said quietly. "And I will always protect William and Ulric, for they are my brothers. I would give my life to protect them." He lifted his head a little, his golden eyes shone with sincerity. He only wished he could've protected his father. "And Kai is safe," he added quietly. "She's something to be proud of." A grin flicked onto his lips, as he remembered how she had treated the new Drappa, Cwen.

((whoaaa this thread is going fweeeeeee))
Tarkah let out a whine of anguish her head dipping and nuzzling her coal hued son. Her golden eyes meeting his silver ones. Tarkah nodded her gentle eyes now falling onto the pair of white males. "I will Bryr, though they are not my grand-pups in blood i will do whatever I can to protect them." she said, "Koran shall be your sanctuary and home for as long as you wish" she added looking at the twins. She then turned to gaze at Shako, "And you aswell." she said with a smile.
But the next words spoken by Bryrpaw sent tarkah in a confused daze "Ice?" she said and remembering a young she pup that had lost herself in the jaws of one of the elements. Tarkah opened her maw to protests to send out a howl but though her maw was wide open in protest the voice was not coming from the drappa but the dark hued Beta. Tarkah turned, to see Phantom in the same state. Tarkah let out a nod in agreeing with Phantom. "Bryrpaw but.." Tarkah began but stopped when her son let out a soft chuckle. Now at this Tarkah was stopped in utter confusion, and turned to look at the blue tinged Kahuri who had the same look plastered on her expression.
But as Tarkah listened on she sighed with relief. "Dear Tor Bryrpaw, I most certainly hope not" she replied with raised eyebrows but smiled, It had been a while since the drappa had seen such a spark in her son's glowing eyes.
Btu Tarkah's eyes were not glowing. instead they were glaring withe a raging fire, "Someone dare steal my Son's pack?" she howled. She had grew up in Ge rad, it was her home. Her life. and now she had learnt that some mutt had overtaken her son and kicked him out?! Tarkah was enraged, "Who Bryrpaw, Who is it?" she snarled but held herself in check and calmed herself, she would have to stay calm and have a clear mind.
Tarkah was unsure though and was worried for her son's safety. "Let me..." tarkah began but stopped, she wanted to help her son, but knew it was his fight. The Fight of a Draggas. She knew this was her son's battle. A battle that would remind her of her own battle to the death with the List drappa Bila. Tarkah was sure to have died but the Drappa had been weak. Bila fighting for Koran's food and Tarkah fighting for her daughter Istas's death. List had invaded her territory and a mass battle had irrupted ending her poor daughter's life.
Tarkah then cocked her head at Shako. He has whispered something that Tarkah had merely caught "Kai?" Tarkah asked the name familiar. "You mean Kairi? the young one who had followed her brothers and left ge rad? So she is back now i see" she said, "That is good" Tarkah said remembering a time when she had romped with the small red hued pup in the snow when she had visited Ge rad.
Tarkah knew her son had to do this, he wanted to do this. "Bryrpaw, you'll always have a home here, no matter what. You have never been a failure in my eyes and you have done far more things then your mother could have ever overcome." she said. "Remember Ulric and William and I" Tarkah smiled, "And everyone here, will be waiting upon your return" she said with a determined nod.
