The trees glistened and swayed as the moonlight shimmered off their snow-covered boughs. The soft patter of mice in the undergrowth and the rustling of branches brushing past another was all that sounded there within the borders of the Koran pack.
A white wolf with one blue, one gold eye, walked submissively over the border, her soft paws leaving light pawprints in the newborn snow. She shuddered as the sun's light bounced off the white powder and splashed onto her pelt, reflecting light hues of an icy blue. She was nervous, and afraid. She had recently been accepted into the Koran pack, but she was unsure of how she should behave. She had been a Kerl for so long, ignored by Her and Her minions, the Balkar. She was used to being ignored, but she now realised that her being in a pack would change everything.
She then lifted her lowered muzzle to the breathy winter skies and howled a greeting and announcement that she was coming. The sound was shaky and shimmered delicately in the air before vanishing, enveloped by Nature's gloved hand. The white femme whined softly and her thin ears flicked around, scanning her surroundings for any movements of another.

A crimson brown and ebony varg normally stood out against the white of snow. However Zhentee was actually able to fallow a white Drappa for some time, with out being spotted. He had wandered out of the Koranian borders, like he normally did, and had by chance stumbled upon a wolf headed in the same direction. Out of curiosity and lack of anything better to do, he fallowed her, to see were she was headed. After all, there was not much in her direction of travel other than Koan.
Silently he walked up behind the varg, unnoticed and unheard, at least until he spoke. Being of such large size, Zhentee naturally had a large voice, but still, it was kind in tone. “And what is you business with Koran?” the manned Dragga asked. Emerald eyes glistening with kindness, as not to give the wrong impression of himself. “Are you a new member?” he asked, sniffing the air slightly for any signs. If she had been accepted into Koran already by another member there would most certainly be a lingering smell of Koranian varg.
((if you remember from the book, Drappa was often used for a she varg, even thought she was not a Drappa, and Dragga was used the same. So that’s how I am using them in this post.))

The white femme started and yelped as an unfamiliar voice sounded from behind her. As she turned slowly to face the other, she found herself staring into great peridot-coloured eyes. Her heart beating wildly from the fright, she managed to stutter a few words. "I... I was accepted into Koran... I-I think I am a new member..." She would've laughed at her stammered words in any other situation, but the varg she was facing was by far larger than she, and although the kindness and slight curiosity in his eyes were somewhat reassuring, she was easily frightened by sudden appearances of others.
Pausing for a moment and calming herself down, she managed to raise her ears from their lowered position. "And who might you be?" she asked more boldly, trying not to sound too offensive. "This place is very unfamiliar to me..." she whispered to herself, wondering if she was, indeed, in Koran lands.
((Ugh... I think it's too early in the morning to write a post that is actually good... Please forgive me! =P))

(( tis okay! Its always too early for me to post good! LOL! XP that or its too late! XD ))
Zhentee raised an eye ridge at the sudden stammering of the varg. Did she always stutter? He wondered, looking down at her. She certainly looked surprised to see some one, but if you are accepted into a pack, wouldn’t you assume you would meet the members? Well, what ever was running threw this vargs mind, she most definitely had the smell of Koran on her. “Yes, that would make you a new member.” he answered. HE then looked past her, and padded forward. “My name is Zhentee, and you would like a tour, you may fallow me.”
Zhentee barley made imprints in the snow as he walked, despite his massive size. He was almost legendary, being so old, he knew many secrets of the world, and this guided his actions. However like any, overwhelming emotions could get the better of him, and this caused his wandering. But in wandering he learned more secrets, it was like his life balance, his little ever spinning cycle.

((Eh better than mine XD))
The white varg was still confused about the way of a pack. Were they close-knit or loosely connected? She nodded in slight agreement to the larger varg and lightly followed after him, continuously swallowing to keep herself steady just in case she had to say any else. She kept her head downcast and followed, seemingly submissively. Her soft tail swished slowly from side to side, a habit that Shadow Mercury had developed to use when she grew nervous. To any other, it would seem as if she was content, but that was far from her true emotions. Watching her paws step daintily over the snow, she decided to lift her head slightly, enabling her to see and watch her surroundings.
She was starting to love Koran's landscape already.

((Yeah, but I have been post RPGing for a for a long, long time.))
Zhentee slowed, to let the new comer walk beside him rather than behind. He observed her stature as she walked, at first she seemed nervous and shy, but as they went on she seemed to become more and more outgoing, lifting her head. However, he noticed she was waging her tail back and forth, not a normal trait of nervous wolves, but he knew every varg had their quirks.
After a while of walking, and silence, Zhentee finally spoke up after realizing he had never asked the new varg her name. “So tell me, What is your name, and were do you come to Koran from?” His tone was most curious and soft.

Shadow Mercury quivered beside this larger varg. She felt so insignificant, having no role, and being so lost that even a snail would have better sense of direction, even though she was being guided. Then the other spoke, and she was whisked out of her thoughts like sand off dusty dry dunes. "Others call me Shadow Mercury, although I am almost fully white... I do not think the name suits me, but I have never met another who would take the time to talk to me properly, so my imagination has not been fuelled to think up another name.... "I do not come to Koran from anywhere... I have been wandering around these lands for nearly my whole life, because -" She cut off abruptly and lowered her head once again, her eyes widening at her paws in a feeble attempt to prevent tears that were sure to come.

Zhentee watched the varg as they walked, she still seemed a little nervous, but it seemed she had stopped the twitching of her tail, a sign perhaps that she was feeling more conferrable? He was a little shocked at her comment as she talked about her name. “One should always have a name that they are happy with. Perhaps there is something, any name you might like to be called instead?” he asked. The varg went on to answer his other question, but she never finish, she just sort of stopped talking. “because…” he tried to encourage her to continue. He was sure it wasn’t really his business why, but he liked the conversation with this varg. However looking down at the varg, he could see it was quite an emotional predicament.

Shadow Mercury whined softly and flicked her ears. She did trust this larger varg, but she was uncomfortable talking about her past. With another quiet whine, she started to whisper. "My pack... it was ravaged by the Balkar. I was but a small pup. The Balkar killed every living they saw... they slashed my face, blinding me in my left eye. There were Kerl healers... they managed to restore some sight to that eye, but it has been discoloured... I have been wandering, a Kerl, for practically my whole life. "Now," she said firmly, quite pleased that she did not even stutter during her explanation. Her slim muzzle was still lowered, still watching her paws move almost subconsciously. She continued, "my name... I do not have the will or time to think of another. I must survive." She did not yet realise that her joining a pack would change everything.

Kahuri raised her head, a dead rabbit hanging from her jaws. Voices? Her ears were cacked forward and eyes trained towards the whispers, yes. Voices. She could only pick up a few words, but still they were hard to make out. The fae took a step closer, her prey swaying as she shifted. Two wolves, there was a deeper one and the other was smaller and more quiet. She reconised Zhentee's, een through she had only seen the Dragga a few times while the pup's remained a mystery. Finally, with a trust from her hind legs she headed towards the voices in a steady lope.
Rabbit still clapsed in her jaws Kahuri emerged from the thickets. Her thick pelt was tinted a bluish gray and under belly a ligher shade of white while her perked auds were black along with the top of her muzzle. She was thin and long legged, having almost puppy-ish features. Her fresh emerald eyes trailed over the cub shivering beside Zhentee, she seemed fairly sad. Already Kahuri felt her heart reaching out for the cub. "Well hello," Se cried cheerily, dropping the rabbit. "How are you two?" Her face glowed with a warm smile, trying to lighten the cub up a little. So sad for one so young. Kahuri herself however also had a few faults that weighted her usually joyful soul, but she pushed such things away. No need to think about the past now, not with the harsh winter aproaching. She glanced from her cach to the pup, "Would you like some little one, Zhentee?" She asked, nudging the small carriorn forward with her snout. "I have already caught one and eaten this morning." She lied, actually the only thing she had eaten was a small mouse, but she need not let the others know that.

((Kahuri, Shadow Mercury isn't a pup =P I think... We're allowed to do that, right?))
Shadow Mercury spun around, frightened again by the sudden newcomer. She gazed at Kahuri with wide eyes. She would have to meet many new vargs. The white femme lowered her muzzle and sniffed at the rabbit, but she whined and shook her head. "It is not my place to eat what others have caught... And you are hungry," she said softly. She backed away a little to let Zhentee see Kahuri properly, and gazed at her paws idly again. A gentle breeze swept through the lands, causing the varg to remember her puphood, where in Fall, they would dance among the swirling colours and laugh and play. She whimpered and shook herself out of the joyful memories. They were gone now. She had to forget her past.

((ZOMGS! I’m SOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorii for the lack of reply! I had LOADS of school work! MEEP!))
Zhentee hung his head slightly with the mention of the Balkar. “The Balkar have scared many a wolf, and have ravaged many packs, including mine.” He walked forward some, thinking for a moment. “The Balkar didn’t used the be so pathetic.” he said, becoming lost in a memory from when he was younger. “The Balkar used to have a worthy leader. I know it seems weird to praises such a pack, but if you had meet this varg, you may thing differently. He was proud and strong, and worthy of respect. I had the chance to fight with him once. The Balkar had stolen a pup from my pack, and we went all out to get it back. And it came down to be fighting with him. Tamra was his name, and I have never meet a more worthy advisory. His size speed, strength, he was the only one I have ever meet who could match me step for step in all of theses. The Balkar was a good pack then. Ruthless perhaps, but respectable in my eyes.”
Zhentee shook his head, to remove the thoughts, “Not that it matter much to you, I’m sure.” he said with a bit of a smile. About this time another wolf came into view. She was long and thin, and Zhentee knew who it was. Kahuri, the packs story teller. “Hello there.” Zhentee said to her, “we are doing fine today.” he replied. Zhentee shook his head to the offer of the meat. “No, that’s alright, I have no need for food right now. But thank you for the offer.” he declined graciously.

((Oh... So am I still allowed to RP as an adult or a pup?))
Shadow Mercury smiled as Zhentee spoke about the Balkar, although she had never before expected herself to smile, let alone resist shuddering, when that pack was mentioned. "I understand what you mean... I'm sure they were once not as frightening as they are now... All that is evil now still had a past of innocence, even for just a glancing moment." She paused, fearing she might be speaking in tongues and considered mad. The white varg turned to Kahuri. "You may eat your catch, you are hungry and it seems neither Zhentee or I need the meal. Thank you for offering, though, and the welcome," she smiled.

((No, I think you can start as an older wlf. I know there are many here who have. Even thoughi dont really like that idea... cuz when i started i had to work hard to become an adult, and now apparently, you can be one with no problem. perhaps its something that should be asked of the admins.))
Zhentee shook his head. "No, no. They were always a frightening group. There has never been a pack worse. But to me, when Tamara was ruler, they were... respectable. now I find it to be a brutal, and a disgraceful pack, full of horrid, and vile creatures." He sighed, looking away, he stared at the snow. “But that was a long… long time ago. Things have changed, just like they always will. Leaders will be replaced… and soon forgotten.” the snow reflected an unmistakable sadness in the older vargs eyes.
