///Sorry hun, I was tempted to change this post a bit, a little change in mind Said I couldnt go cold?\\\
Standing at the waters edge, he heard the footsteps of Demon approaching. His silence was kept, and he turned his head slightly, checking to see if Phantom had followed. He smiled slightly, seeing that she stayed, and returned his gaze to newly born dawn.
Stars began to fade, the moon in its dying phase, and the midnight sky residing to morning storm. A deep red arose from the east, filling thunder clouds with an evil figure. Markaz lifted his head slightly, the adrenaline running in his veins once more.
"Have I made up my mind?", He managed to smirk a bit. "You know, I've been thinking a bit. Since I've been with you, I've made alot of enemies. Everytime, you disappeared on me, there was another male. Tell me, Zei, what was he? Kereal, what was he?" Markaz snarled, turning around, his ivory teeth exposed. His anger, he was able to hide from Phantom, yet, the inner burden was to much to hold in. It killed him more every day, and he was determined not to die like this, not vulnerable to love like this. There is no love, its all betrayal.
Stepping closer to the male, his amber eyes darkened to a near red, his claws extracted, tearing the soil from the ground as he stepped closer. Like the blood of wolfbane had infected his mind and body. "Just replacements? Let them come and go till you've got me back?" He snarled coldly, halting his pace again. " And now, theres another male. You lied to me didnt you. Over and over again. Maybe I'm the replacement. Maybe thats why you leave as you please."
He turned away from the faemme, paying little attention to her sorrowed features. Distant rolls of thunder were dampened by the rain, the sun, still yet not visible, yet the sky grew deep shades of scarlet and amber.
He swallowed slightly. Turning he checked for Phantoms presence once more. " I wasn't enough comfort. You could have told me. Instead you pushed your luck with my vulnerability. Can't call it off?" He snarled coldly, his voice becoming hesitant.
"Then try this Demon," He turned from the faemme, and began padding along the riverside into the darkness of the forests. "I'm gone."

crappy post; sorry hun [glow=black,2,300]
As words grew cold, she felt all that suppressed evil inside resurfacing. "Don't do this," she snarled, her breaths heavier. "Don't... do... " she cut short, her optics narrowing and muscles tightening. Tassel held high, and her hackles risen. "Replacement," she mocked coldly, a complete change over the past minute or so; yet inside good and evil were fighting, each time one side one a change in her tone.
"You know," she breathed, "I'm impressed. I never thought someone like you could face the true evil in the world; love. I face it every day," she paused, tears rolling from her scarred eye; a sign of her mind fighting itself. "I fight the pain of having to leave. I didn't leave to run to another male," she drawled, "I ran from life. Never once did I try and get with another wolf when Damien was born, same goes for Sabre..." Pausing, she growled spitefully, "Zie was old news; we sorted him out suns ago- so that you cannot try and shove the blame on me all the time,"
As she was about to continue her words, she felt herself return to a normal posture. To show this, her body slumped, and her optics reflected a sudden shift from hope to hate of herself. "I'm gone," The words rang out, over and over again; louder and louder. She felt a scream filling her throat, yet tried to block it. "I knew you lied to me," she yelled after him, "you always lie; to Tarkah, to Tor & Fenris, and now to me... You're nothing but the dirt Sikla's walk upon..."
Turning away from him, she padded slowly past Phantom; not even glancing at her. Replacing herself atop the ledge, she could see his form; his amber eyes flashing in the lights. That was it, her trigger of complete self-destruction.
A scream left her maw. So loud all birds flooded out of the treetops and filled the skies. Flinging her body down, she hung her forepaws over the edge. "Why didn't you kill me?" she questioned, "why!?" Snarling, she whacked a rabbit's skull with her tassel, the skull tumbling off the ledge and smashing on the ground a few inches from where Markaz' shadow could be seen.
Arching her neck, she released a sorrowful message to-wards the male; exhausted with agony and pain; she wanted to curl up and die- and strangely, throwing herself off this ledge didn't seem like a bad idea either...
true love never dies, remember that, Markaz....

[glow=orange,2,300]///ahh crappy post\\\
Alongside the river, the words of the faemme echoed off the banks of the river. He halted, Demon still behind him. Lowering his head, he hesistated not to turn around. " There is no Fenris, there is no Tor. I'm suprised you havn't noticed that. I'm suprised you all rely on them. What have they done for you?" He said softly into the darkness, his voice only audible to himself.
We sorted him out. He heard again, crossing his mind again and again." We had to sort him out. I had to get involved. How many more are you going to bring forth to me? It's like I'm in constant competition, like everyday you test me. It kills me more and more. " Markaz said softly.
He padded forward again, turning his head slightly, looking to see a last glimpse of the faemme, yet she wasnt there anymore. Let the sikla's walk on me, since I'm such a welcome mat to you. I loved you Demon, that wont change, but I will not live in this everlasting quarrel.
He returned to his resting grounds at the cliffside of the river. Laying down he let out a sigh. "I have no reputation left with these Koran members, Tarkah Phantom , .....Demon...leave them be. I will not continue to break this bond.
Markaz turned his gaze to the distant snow-kissed mountains. Let me return to my cold, rocky realm. He snarled, shutting his optics. He didnt know if he had courage to confront the drappa again, or anyone. They wouldnt look for him would they, so it didnt matter. [/glow]

Phantom had seen the whole thing. It was cold and terrible thing to witness. With a whine of pity, she leapt on the ledge, just in time to see Markaz vanish, possibly for the last time. She sat down next to Demon, her heart tightening with sympathy. How could Markaz do that to her? It was so cruel...
"Demon," she said softly. "I'm sorry."
Short, I know. But I'm really tired...

sorry for my absence. Mom was in hospital...[glow=black,2,300]
Demon's heart sunk, as the words of Phantom danced in and out of her auds. She felt as though the whole world had faded, and only she was left; left to face the unfortunate, and sickening cycles of life... alone. Snorting, she glared at her paws. "Sorry won't change nothing," she snarled spitefully, not noticing how cruel her tone or gaze had become. "He is nothing without me," she spat, trying to make her feel better in the best way she knew how, anger. "He won't stop thinking about me. I'm the darkest burden he will carry; the plague that drifts in his shadow. His favorite goddamn disease... Let him go; he'll be back..."
Snarling coldly, she only wished her angered words could be truthful. Honestly, she knew not whether this male would return, or whether he would turn and flee. Either way, Tarkah and Demon were in similar dens; both their males turned out to be total jerks it seemed. Scratching the rock-face she sat atop, her optics glistened slightly, an evil smile stealing her ebony lips. Watching the shadow disappear in and out of the breeze, Demon suddenly felt an urge to jump down from where she lay. It didn't seem too high, maybe 4 to 5 feet maximum. Yet, even if it was higher than predicted, the adrenalin rush would surely be something unforgettable.
Sitting up, she looked sorrowfully at Phantom. "Have you ever felt the urge for an adrenalin rush?" she questioned, tipping her head thoughtfully to the side. "I'm thinking; Jump from ledge, cut Markaz off, apologize greatly... and fail miserably... Sound good?" She sighed silently; waiting, watching, ready to push her body to the edge.

It's allright. Hope your mom's okay... Phantom tilted her auds at Demon's question. "An adrenaline rush? Yeah, sometimes..." she trailed off a bit, peering down at the drop. It wasn't high at all. Any healthy varg could land safely at the bottom. Phantom sighed and shook her head, closing her eyes for a moment. When she had opened them again, she looked Demon strait in the eye. "Demon, I don't think you should go after him..."
There was a brief pause, then she continued. "You said so yourself, 'True love never dies.' Well, you still love him, and he knows that. But you can't keep chasing him down like this. You're only pushing him away. I'm sorry If i sound cruel... But if you really love someone, you let them go. If they return, it is true, pure love. And, if they don't return...well, it was never meant to be..."
Shaking her head, she growled to herself for a while, deep in thought. Then she turned her gaze back to the ebony she-wolf. "You wanted me to stay here with you, so we could talk," she said softly. Well, we have time now. What would you like to discuss?"

sorry for my absence once more... the alcohol took me hostage... *cough* O=)[glow=black,2,300]
It all seemed limitless before. All the fleeing, and returning. All the causing agony yet no consequences. Yet, now Demon could sense that fate was rearing its ugly head toward her for once. Sighing, a thought passed her mind. If this was true, all those wolves... all those mutts... they would get their comeuppance sooner or later. Was her time really almost up? As her mind raced, she had almost forgotten that Phantom was present. As her breaths grew heavily, and her now glazed over optics watched the shadows flicker, this femme knew the real meaning of gutted.
Snarling, a plume of dark breath shot fiercely from her jaw. Her talons gripped the ledge, and her eyes traveled over the drop below. It seemed all so simple, too simple in fact. If leveled just right, she would fall and break every bone in her ebony body. Yet, thinking about it, suicide didn't seem the best idea. If this beast was going to go, it would be in style. Smirking to herself, she could feel a breeze rippling deep beneath her pelt; somewhat like an itch she couldn't reach. Growling within her throat, her eyes narrowed, and her tongue brushed her lips coldly. "Phantom," she drawled, a cold tone placed atop her voice. "Despite how much I try to love you as one of the pack-mates; it's becoming truly hard for me... unless you want me to repeat what happened in the dens, I'm guessing you leave well enough alone for now..."
Grinning darkly in a flickering shadow, her scar seemed to glow a fiery red; now her form really did appear to live up to her name. Demonic. Letting her canines peer through her lips, she couldn't help but feel that long forgotten power seeping into her veins. No, cried out her mind, the rattles of locked doors slowly creaking open, don't release the anger, don't release the pain... Shaking her head, she turned and began to pad away from the ledge. Turning back, her optics slid across Phantom's form with a sickly glitter. "Oh," she spat, her tone thickly decorated in burning anger, "and if you see Markaz... tell him..." she paused, a grin stealing her muzzle, "tell him I'll be waiting..."
Nodding to the femme, Demon's neck slid back to the shadows before her. Treading quietly, she could feel herself slowly slipping into the darkness, away from everything. That was how she liked it. Broken, yet fixed. Silent, yet not. Everything was undisturbable... for now at least...
